Delicious, authentic, consistent and well priced! Worth the stop!

Nothing fancy inside, but the food is delicious. We went for lunch on a Thursday and there was steady stream of customers. We tried the pork chops and the ribs, both with rice. The potato-rice ball was fantastic. You'll have to ask our dog about the empanada - we were full, so we took it home for later and he stole it right off the table. We'll have to go back and try them for ourselves.

Always good. Fair prices for generous portions. Parking can be tight and there's usually somebody trying to hit you up for cash on your way out. Go to this location. The one on Seneca Tnpk. is not nearly as good.

My Daughter & I went to Don Juan Cafe on Friday 1/26/24 & we bought 2 chicken & cheese empanada's along with 1 beef empanada. The empanada's were outstanding! I only wish they had more on hand so i could of bought another one for later!

This place was really good. The price for all the food you get I'd perfect. Had the beans, yellow rice,carnitas and yuca! All very savory and delicious. Would definitely come back and have no problem giving it my #gorditoapproved #fatboyapproved

The place wasn't tidy when I have been. I prefer a bit more attention to napkins on the floor and the seating options were weird, I had to pull a chair from another table for my friend and I. But the food is consistently good as a Puerto Rican I can testify. The staff is friendly.

Tried this place for my first time today for lunch. My daughter in law and son has been there several times and from what I understand, they were very happy with it. When I arrived, there was a line of approximately 6 people waiting to place their order at the counter. The line went fairly fast. About a 7 min wait. As I got closer to the counter I could see the nice display of all the different foods. The area looked clean, the food was nicely organized and looked very appetising!. I was planning on getting the pulled pork plate with beans and rice. However, the lady in front of me ordered the pepper steak combo and they put so much meat in it they could hardly close the lid!! Well, that was enough for me to ask for "the same as the lady in front of me" order! Well, I didn't quite get the same proportions as she did! Lol. I recieved a nice scoop of rice, few beans on top, and about 1/4 of the amount of meat as the lady in front of me?? Now, here is the big kicker. When I went to pay, I was charged $15.12. I asked why the lady in front of me who had the same thing was charged less? ( She handed them a $10 and got change back). I was told that it was because she ordered a small!!?... So, apparently the smalls are less costly even though they come with much more meat??? Lol. Perhaps it's because I was wearing a shirt and tie, non spanish speaking and pale?? Lol... anyway, took the food back to the office, it was still quite hot. It did not have a ton of flavor that I was hoping some authentic Puerto Rican food would have. The meat was tender but only had 2 very small slices of peppers in my portion. The rice and beans were tasty enough for a side. It was decent, but nothing really special. I may go back and give it a second chance, but perhaps I'll go with my less pale daughter in law and have her order?? Lol.

They use to have delicious quality food. I don't know if they recently changed cooks but the last 3 times my wife and I went there the food has been horrible. The rice is dry and bland the pork had hard pieces in it that seemed like it sat too long and tastes are all bland. To day is the last time I will go there. I found an onion skin in my rice.

Not a bad place but I gone in today just looking for a quick bite ask for a pork chop and 3 plantain got charged 12 dollars I asks why I was told the sweet plantain substitute the rice as a lunch special I never asks for a lunch special nor did I ask for any extra plantain these restaurants are getting ridiculous

Ordered roast pork with yellow rice, beans and a beef n cheese... let's start with the positive bc there wasn't much... the portions are big. Plenty of rice and pork. Didn't get any beans... NONE... Never got my beef n cheese. The pork and rice was super dry and almost flavorless.. wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I will never be back...
