I had sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice, and chicken chow mein it was real good. The sweet and sour pork was super good with pineaple, onion, bell pepper and the pork was real good
Best Taste is my go to! The food is amazing and the owners are wonderful! We are frequent flyers here, even after moving 45 minutes away! We've sent so many friends here who now are repeat customers. The sesame beef is our favorite and the spicy green beans. Though you can't go wrong with anything Rich Somar's review is completely false. I was actually in the restaurant when he called and spoke to the owner. He didn't get food so how could he be sick? How could he know the restaurant was dirty? It's not! I heard him on the phone and he was rude so service was refused. He's just an angry individual We highly recommend you come here and try the food for yourself. You won't be disappointed
First time coming to this location, had an amazing experience 🙌. The food portion are big and taste great!! Our waiter was cindy and she was amazing!! So welcoming and always on point! Will definitely come back to this location and would recommend to everyone!
This place has been here forever, seriously for good reason. Food is consistently delicious, service is beyond amazing for both dining in and pick up. I recommend Best Taste to everyone I know! Try the orange chicken or any of the veggie dishes, you'll definitely want to come back for more.
We were passing thru town and found this place on a Google search. We ordered a dinner for 2...take out online.. we were given $10. Off for a $50. Order. The food is very good!! The staff was very nice! Place is clean. Really happy with it. Will definitely go back next time in the area.
This is the place to experience the best tasting Chinese cuisine in the South Bay Area! If you’re traveling nearby Campbell, you need to try out the family dinner. You can keep adding a dish according to the number of people in your party. I’ve come here many times, and I never fail to be impressed with the delicious dishes! You start out with a soup, we tried out the Hot and Sour, then appetizers-fried egg rolls and fried wontons. We ordered the fried rice, Mongolian Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken , and Beijing style Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs. If you are looking for a great dinner tea to take out your friends or family, this is the place to go. Bon appetite!
The service here is top-notch, making us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. The cuisine is nothing short of exquisite, offering a culinary journey that impressed with every bite. Highly recommend for anyone looking to indulge in authentic flavors and exceptional dining experience!
I've been ordering takeout here for what has to be at least 20 years, and the food has always been tasty, plentiful, and hot. The owners are very nice people who offer great customer service.
I brought more than ten friends to Best Taste Chinese Restaurant for dinner. Everyone said the food was delicious, especially Mongolian Beef, Honey Walnut shrimp, steamed fish, etc. The service was also very good. I will bring more friends next time.
Best Taste Chinese food has been owned and run by a super nice family for over 20 years. They are always kind to you and they make great food. I started eating their cooking before I could even walk. I remember watching them cook from the doorway to their kitchen from the time I was 3. Their pot stickers are the best. I would recommend this place to whoever really loves Chinese food. It really does have the Best Taste.
A friend told me to try this place. I'm so glad I did. Best Chinese American food, they don't lie
Great Chinese food! We ordered take out and it was very fresh and full of flavor when we got home. The service was great, too! The owner is very friendly and hospitable. Will be going again soon!
From good food to good service. Best Taste sure knows how to show you a good time with authentic food and atmosphere. Whether you want chow mien or sushi, their wide rage in variety pairs well with their presentation. Their kindhearted spirit and family recipes show homage to their culture. Without a doubt, one of Campbell's hidden gems.
This place is great! The food is AMAZING and is always hot and fresh. The staff is super friendly, and you can't go wrong in this quiet environment! My husband and I eat here at least 2x's per month. Absolutely can't go wrong if you come here to eat~
OMG the best EGG FU YOUNG EVER the nicest people in a Chinese restaurant some owners are cold and unwelcoming they made me feel very comfortable shouting out to everyone here.😇😇😇😇
Ok Exterior looks outdated..but this place is a neighborhood favorite for decades! We had seafood fried rice! Crab shrimp a huge amount! Walnut honey prawns also a huge plate..orange chicken all delicious well presented and quick..the server was pleasant and very friendly..the booth was comfortable and clean..the decor was reminiscent of Chinatown with Chinese Craft art.
Best taste is awesome.. I have been ordering takeout and eating in the restaurant for years.. the sushi is outstanding-luv it. The Chinese food is great too. This place is so cool because you can eat both Chinese and Japanese food. I usually order a combination of both. Potstickers are wonderful, I always have California rolls and add cream cheese they're amazing and huge. Great portions here. The fried rice is awesome and so is there chow mein. They also have a great assortment of desserts. Awesome customer service both in the restaurant and when I order delivery. This place is a Hidden Gem. I was so happy when I found it and I have been a happy customer since. Two thumbs up. 👍👍
Been dining here at least twice a month and have never been disappointed. The food is the best and the owners are the nicest people you ever meant. I highly recommend.
We love their food! We get takeout from here and have had great meals every time.
The food was amazing and exactly what we wanted. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodated our special request. The atmosphere was cozy. Will definitely come back.
I have been a loyal customer of Best Taste Chinese and Sushi for many years. During Covid, It was a hard time for this restaurant. Gone is the beautiful Sushi Boat Bar and other fancy items. However, this restaurant has continued to operate serving the Best Taste food I have had. The menu is amazing! Where else can you get Egg Fu Yung on a lunch special? Their selection of desert items, such as deep fried banana (my favorite) is outstanding. All the dishes are fresh made with quality ingredients. It has great food with a wonderful owner staff. The restaurant could use some minor remodeling, but it is kept clean.
I love that they have both great tasting chinese food and wonderful sushi. Their sashimi is generously portioned. And the rolls are wonderful. My favorite dish on the Chinese side is their honey walnut prawns. Not at all greasy, very lightly battered and sauced. Its family run and I've been a customer for nearly 20 years.
Best Taste is one of my favorite restaraunts in the area. I really like their Kung Pao chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. The staff is friendly and remembers me by name. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I have lived in San Jose for 12 years now. Best Taste is my Chinese restaurant. My stand-outs: -Kung Pao Chicken -Black Pepper Beef The service is great too. Very nice people and good food.
When they say the best tasting Chinese food, they mean it! I've been a few times, and the food is exceptional. I am working my way through the lunch menu to try it all. The owner, Cindy, is so kind and welcoming and creates a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside but still homey and the delicious food is perfect there or to go. It's a must try!
A wonderful Experience at this place. The food was delicious with various options to choose from. As a first timer my wife and I got: ●Szechwan beef (unfried) ●Chow mein (shrimp) ●Fried rice (combination) ●Bread Pudding (Desert) ●Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box -Teriyaki Chicken -egg roll (x1) -salad -California Rolls (x4 pieces) I will say it's not often you find a great restaurant like this that has Szechwan sauce and great tasting meat and vegan choices. I personally recommend the Chicken and beef as main course options if your looking to try this place out.
Always a great experience. Food is always on point! Hot fresh and tasty. Service is always great 😌 and friendly. The best Chinese food in San Jose !! Eggrolls, chicken fried rice , and sweet and sour chicken…. Delicious
Very good Americanized Chinese foods. The server lady should pay attention to not crush foods when boxing. Yuxiang eggplant with green bean and tofu is delicious. Vegetable chowmien has zuchinni and jicama for more flavor. Sesame chicken and Salt Peppee Sparerib Solfself Crab are good!
Best Taste is owned by a very gracious couple. When we stopped by today, Cindy made substitution suggestions and we got Salt & Pepper Pork exactly to our liking. She also tossed in a couple egg rolls as a thank you. We also had Beef Chow Fun which was delicious.
very good lunch special and price is good for the food quality
Excellent Kung Pao Shrimp with Hot & Sour soup. Clean place, delicious, and great service. I'll be back!
The food was amazing. Had the combination fried fried rice, never had this good of fried rice before.. The food isn’t greasy at all. Lots of flavor. You won’t be dissapointed.
This restaurant has such a welcoming environment and the food is absolutely delicious! I always recommend my family and friends. They celebrated my little girls birthday today who turned 4 and I was so grateful! Wonderful service!

I always have a great experience at Best Taste Chinese Restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy, newly remodeled and inviting. I have ordered food to go from here several times and it's always delicious, well packaged and they never forget condiments and utensils. It's so nice to be greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I definitely plan to stay and eat one day soon when I'm in the area and I have more time!
Tonight we went to Google searching for a new Chinese restaurant. Google ratings were good. Yelp ratings were good. Thought we’d give it a try and we’re impressed. Food was really great.
Haven't been here in a long time and the food is always so delicious. It's nice to see that its still owned and ran by the same family! 20/10 I would always recommend this place and is always my go to for authentic chinese cuisine!
Stumbled upon this place when a friend and I went to Yiassoo's down the street, but it was closed. When we came in it was busy and there was only one person workimg the front, so we did take out. The food was yummy, but wasn't warm. They also have desserts to choose from. Will definitely be back to try more items.
We ordered take outside here on regular. Food quality always very good. Hot and fresh, flavorful and good prices.
I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl, before they changed locations! Very good food and good hospitality. I’ve recommended to many people!
Right place to make a night of takeout food, and the people are pleasant, family friendly too.. My favorite is the honey glazed chicken and cashew and brown rice. They don't skimp on amount of food on the plate. YUMMY!

Decent quality chinese food. Big portions. Pot stickers are made in house, but the dough is a bit thick and chewy. Nice lady runs the front of house and seems to know most of the diners. Lots of local repeat business. Would eat there again.
3 very good dishes and 2 ok dishes. We had the fried tofu - which was great and the the Chow Fun with tofu - excellent. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the sweet and sour pork. Dessert (Bomba) was really good - and fun looking - you'll have to order to see it... like a big chocolate easter egg. The service was very nice.

I ordered the chicken soup and veggie egg rolls. Unfortunately the soup had absolutely no flavor and the veggies didn’t taste fresh. Egg rolls were a little to greasy. I used to enjoy the soup and egg rolls, not anymore....Maybe they changed owners or chefs. Sorry I had to write this negative review but I was really looking forward to a delicious dinner on a Saturday night.
20 minutes for takeout means 1 hour to them.
People who ran the restaurant were very friendly, but I did not care for the food. It's the first time I can ever recall getting lukewarm to cold "hot" tea. The wor won ton soup was dark like it had a lot of soy sauce based sauce poured in it. There were three very thin slices of "BBQ pork" that tasted really old and had no other flavor. It had 2 jumbo shrimp and 3 small lumps if something (mushy chicken maybe?). That's it for protein! No bok choy (there were only a few pieces of Napa type cabbage) no pea pods, just 3 zigzags of carrot and some green onion. Inside the won tons, the filling very dark (more mystery meat). There was also an aftertaste, the kind you get when a restaurant uses a lot of msg. I ordered a combo fried rice to go and it doesn't smell right I'm not sure it will be edible.. There wasn't one single piece of protein showing in the rice and I suspect there will be precious few beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp pieces within the rice if I take a chance and eat it later. Not too good for $15 rice. Even mediocre restaurants are capable of making delicious fried rice (Panda Express even makes fried rice with a better aroma).
Honestly didn’t like this place, I ordered orange chicken for my 11 year old and I magnolia beef for myself and some fried rice. I tried ordering online but it wouldn’t let me so I called the store which I’m happy I did because I found out that the dishes didn’t come with rice even tho each dish cost $21. I then added the rice which came out to $68. The portions are not even big either. Just to get home and the orange chicken is spicy my 11 year old couldn’t eat it. The magnolias beef says it came with crispy noodles on top but there was no noodles and it had extra extra onions. The fried rice was good. They should definitely communicate that their food is spicy. I won’t be coming back.
Unclean, Unwelcoming, and Completely Unacceptable — Proceed at Your Own Risk If I could give this place zero stars, I would. What unfolded during my visit wasn’t just a bad dining experience — it was an outright health concern, followed by some of the most dismissive and unprofessional service I’ve encountered. Soon after ordering, I saw cockroaches crawling on the floor. Had I seen them earlier, I absolutely would’ve walked out. That alone should have been a deal-breaker. But unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. The interior was grimy, dated, and neglected — with an atmosphere that screamed neglect, not hospitality. I ordered crab rangoons, only to find they were filled with an unidentifiable yellow cheese — not cream cheese, which is the standard for the dish. When I asked the waiter, Mark, about it, he gave a smug, matter-of-fact response that they “don’t use cream cheese.” There was zero effort to resolve the issue or offer any kind of alternative. When I explained I wasn’t satisfied — after tasting just two out of eight pieces — he abruptly refused to serve me further. Let me be clear: I did not yell, threaten, or behave inappropriately. I expressed dissatisfaction with a dish and was immediately met with hostility and refusal of service. That, combined with the unsanitary conditions, sealed the deal. I’ve eaten here before and hoped it might’ve improved. It hasn’t. If anything, it’s worse. To add insult to injury, the prices are outrageous. Nearly $20 for a dish that doesn’t even include rice — which, by the way, costs extra. Update in response to the owner’s reply: The response posted by the owner is laughably disingenuous and riddled with misinformation. 1. No threats of harm were made — period. That’s a false and defamatory claim on their part, and it reflects far more poorly on them than on me. 2. As for the cockroaches — I saw them with my own eyes. Denying their presence does nothing to negate what I witnessed. 3. I ate exactly two out of eight crab rangoons. That’s not “nearly half.” If the owner can’t count or chooses to distort such basic facts, it’s no wonder their reputation is in the gutter — as clearly reflected in many other negative reviews on both Google and Yelp. Trying to spin my experience as “defamation” is desperate at best. You cannot hide poor sanitation or bad customer service behind fake smiles and revisionist storytelling. You had the opportunity to resolve a customer’s concern with decency and integrity — and instead, you chose arrogance, denial, and a public smear attempt. I’ve already reported your establishment to the health department, and I encourage others to do the same if they encounter similar issues. This place is a health hazard, and the customer service is even more toxic. Spend your money where hygiene, honesty, and hospitality are actually valued. The reviews literally speak for themselves. You can see the images that I've attached. Instead of genuinely considering and trying to understand their customers complaints, they amount to discrediting and downplaying their experiences. Distasteful and disgusting customer service by the owners just the like wait staff and the horrible food with zero flavor.

Ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special and a salad. At first, I was a little disappointed that it was a ton of chow mein and the beef portion was so small, but turns out it didn't matter. It was all so bad I ended up throwing out all of it after a few bites. The meat was the weirdest texture (like, gristly, gummy, and something was just seriously off), and way more oily than it should have been. The noodles seemed like they were a week old. The salad dressing was OK for the bite I could find that wasn't brown lettuce. Honestly, kind of pissed I wasted my money on this.
Food had no flavor and when it states 2 chicken wings what they mean is one wing cut in 2 pieces. Won’t come back here again. Service and quality definitely has gone down.
