Very good Mexican place in the heart of Campbell, with plenty of seats and a long bar, GREAT margaritas (try the frozen one, it will literally blow your mind), very tasty nachos - even if you’re vegetarian and want it meatless - and service is nice and welcoming. Recommend for anyone who looks for a great way to spend a sunny afternoon during the weekend.

We ordered a vegetarian toastada also got with some chips and guac. While the toastada was good, nice and crispy with good salad and black beans inside, however, chips and guac could’ve been better.

Great food, large portion and reasonably priced. Free salsa bar. Most people come for drinks and comfort food. No line/wait on the weekends. The ambience is like a bar, kind of loud as people are socializing, drinking and watching games on TV. There's also a deal (as of Feb 2017) on Yelp for 7% cash back.

The food was great, and we enjoyed the quality and flavor of the dishes. The service was also very good. However, as a Catholic, I felt uncomfortable with some of the decor. There is a painting of the Last Supper displayed in a way that appears to mock or parody it, and I found that very disrespectful. I also noticed different images of the Virgin Mary painted on the bathroom wall, which I consider inappropriate and disrespectful. I fully respect artistic expression, but for many people these images are very sacred and deeply meaningful. I hope the owners might consider how this could affect customers of faith in the future.

The pollo asada street tacos were very unseasoned until we ate it with the salsa, but after that it tasted pretty standard. The chips it came with were a nice crunchy contrast to the soft tortilla. The happy hour deals are decent at $2/taco, but I feel like the only thing that makes this place stand out is that it’s a sit-down taco place.

Decent spot with room for improvement Tried El Guapo recently and had a mixed experience. The ambiance is fun and lively, great for casual hangouts or a night out with friends. The service was friendly, though a bit slow during peak hours. As for the food, some dishes were flavorful—especially the tacos—but others felt a bit underwhelming for the price. Drinks were solid, especially the margaritas. Overall, not a bad place, but there's definitely potential for a more consistent experience. Lastly we ordered spicy pineapple cocktail which was great Fish Taco was nice and delicious chicken tacos were ok in taste , it can be better ..

El Guapo’s is an ok restaraunt in Campbell downtown. While the ambiance was phenomenal as they had plenty of outdoor and indoor seating as well as a bar, the food was unfortunately extremely mediocre. I got the Quesabirria tacos and the food came out in a reasonable time. The tacos themselves were extremely wet already with some grease and they were just soggy and had no crunch to them making it some kind of tortilla soup which I didn’t enjoy. While the meat(beef) was tender, it had little to no actual flavor. The consome which is what is supposed to be the highlight of Quesabirria tacos was unfortunately underwhelming as it too had no flavor. The chips and salsa for me were really good though, as the salsa and chips tasted fresh. The tomatillo salsa was my favorite. El guapo’s was extremely cheap for a nice restaurant in downtown as my dish which was sufficient for my whole dinner was only about $11 with tax which was great! Overall, while I would not come back to el guapo’s again due to their mediocre food I would recommend this joint to others because of its affordability and prime location!

Decent restaurant and bar in downtown Campbell. The food was not bad but we got stomach upset the next day so likely might not go for the food. They've a separate bar and outdoor sitting which are nice.

Foods nice, fresh. Bar can be over crowded at times, worth trying super chavelas. The greeter who tells you were to sit could be friendlier, make you feel more invited. Salad bar could use more attention when we were there. Table was sticky, food came out pretty fast thou.

I can't stand this place. I was such a fan but they get my order wrong every single time, they forget the salsa EVERY SINGLE TIME, and every time I ask for a flower tortilla they forget. Plus their website doesn't let you order online even though their AI phone assistant continues to direct people to the website. I've given them so many chances and its just disrespectful at this point
