Subway has gone through a revamp and modernization process. The joints look so much cleaner and fresh. The staff at this location is 50/50. Some are fast and true sandwich artists. We had a great experience with Tarikh who curater our sandwiches just the way we liked with equal attention to the presentation. No spillage of ingredients or sauce on the bread or for that matter on the wrapper .. and he was still a trainee.
One of the best subways in the neighborhood is on Topanga and Roscoe in Canoga Park. Food tastes fresh, they are very nice and polite. They want to make you happy. My favorite go to place for breakfast and lunch. Love their croissant break sandwich. I get no meat, just yellow egg (they do offer whites only) Swiss cheese, lots of onions toasted and then lots of spinach. Mmmmmmm good. And an orange juice. Great ptices
This is one of the best Subway Stores I have visited. I am a regular here. They always have all selections of bread in stock. I love the way they prepare my Hot Pastrami footlong. They heat it twice to get the meat perfect.
Awesome! They never get our order wrong, sandwiches are always made nice and exactly how we asked as well! We appreciate their service! Great location 😊👏

This Subway is the best in the area: the produce is good and the bread is too. Service is quick here and the staff is always friendly. They do a good business which goes to explain why the ingredients tend to be fresh. Prices are standard.
Agree with a previous review; I've also seen the older gentleman working his butt off while other employees stand around chatting. That man should get a raise; he's extremely courteous and friendly. Now however, I was made to feel like a total inconvenience. I will not be specific as to who because maybe I was just having an off day? (I've been sick and haven't really been able to eat for 3 days.) But the other customer I was with also felt weirdly rushed. No special requests were made by us, but as we went through the veggies, we were repeatedly asked "anything else?" in a low, annoyed tone. I mean, that was the ONLY wording used toward us. (No clue what we did to offend the employee and have never gotten attitude like that before.) We both ended up leaving without half the veggies we normally get and a weirdly stingy amount of condiments (because we aren't the type to be pushy or demanding.) We both added things from the fridge at home.... Weird experience; not at all what we're used to at this location. Now it's bugging me because it was super disappointing after not being able to eat for days.... Again, give the older gentleman a serious raise. Maybe give him a bonus to train others? He is amazing and is carrying this location when it comes to customer service. 2 stars if not for him.

I love the food it's just poorly managed. I was just there today approximately 450pm. I felt so bad for this old man that's works there. He was all by himself helping customers while the other kids were playing in the back. The guys seemed more interested in flirting with a girl that was hanging out.

100% honestly the food is good but the short Hispanic looking lady took apart someone’s sandwich, because she wasn’t listing to them, and put it all back in the bins, to be served to someone else. She cross contaminated the cheese with the meats and the vegetables. If you’re highly allergic to something or vegan or vegetarian dont go here.
Staff at this subway tried to scam me out of coupons and promotions multiple times, acting confused and pretending the promotion “doesn’t go through”. I had to insist they try again each time. Aside from that, they are very stingy with ingredients and not very friendly to say the least. It is pretty clean though.
If the food wasn't good (which can be a hit or miss at Subway), then I'd rate this 1 star. If you're going to order more than 1 sub in person, then expect to be there at least 20 minutes. The workers don't work as a team and, in effect, create an inefficient work environment. I know this personally since there were two ladies working, yet only one of them handled our order of 3 subs. She called the other worker for help, but she evidently didn't and went back to work on other matters rather than helping out and making our wait time exponentially longer. If that wasn't bad enough, the card reader malfunctioned or sisnt register the cars and created a huge mixup for no apparent reason. I went again around a week later, thinking it might've been my bad luck, but it didn't seem to be the case. Not only was the wait time around the same for another 3 subs, but I had a coupon with me to save myself some money. Compensating the long wait for saving was worth it, I thought. I thought wrong. When scanning the coupon, the workers said it didn't work and it was redeemed or something which didn't make sense because I had just gotten it from the mail the day before. The lady was confused and didn't know what to do and called the other worker and dragged me, and the other person ordered a whole lot of time. In the end, they said that it must've been the scanner or something that must not work and just gave us a 10% discount. This would've been nice if it weren't for the coupon saving me around 50% of the meal if it had actually worked. Overall, these two experiences have been mentally draining for me. For those wanting Subway, either online order or go to another location. This is NOT a good location, and I've learned my lesson.

Awful store. SUPER chintzy on ingredients. Have to ask to add more several times to get the same amount as other Subways offer regularly. Will never return to this location...go to others if possible.
They trying to use less material, specially on steaks u feel like u eating a bread not a steak sandwich! The attitude of employees are so bad too! In the beginning they mentions if u want anything more or less its not possible and u only will get what sandwich contain on menu!! I mean what kind of subway it is?! They are totally disrespectful. Never try this branch again.
I haven’t been to this location in a long time. I showed up and they only had 2 types of bread available, neither of which I wanted. Somehow this was acceptable to the worker who asked if I wanted what I didn’t ask for but was available. I had the pleasure of driving down the street to another Subway to get what I wanted, so thanks for that
They make your sub as if every slice of meat is coming out of their paycheck. You want olives? Here's three of 'em. Pickles? Let's not get too greedy now! I doubt the smaller portion sizes are saving them much money when you factor in the loss of customers; you're better off going home and serving yourself a stale bread sandwich
Every time I come to this location there is always an issue. There is this older man that always has an attitude , if he hates his job maybe find a new one. Also, when I ask for the bread to be taken out it’s a request and not to say negative comments in Spanish. Like hello I speak and understand Spanish.
The older male employee (I think his name is Melvin or Martin) has issues. He doesn't like his job for many reasons that I have noticed in the past. Today was the icing on the cake. I asked for extra veggies on my veggie patty sub and he put three extra olives. I asked for more and he said I can't. I asked why not. He mumbled a few words. I then said, I will pay extra if I have to. He said, there is no such thing like that. I was very upset. This was a first for me. I have never been told that at any subway I have ever visited. I will no longer go there. I will look for another subway.
This is the worst subway in the area. Bad experience and bad customer service, bad attitude and bad management. The waiting in line is a nightmare... It's better if you go other one a couple blocks from there same street near to Sherman Way.
Closest Subway to my house but RARELY go there and after today I will never go back. #1 Location rarely honors coupons/promos that the other locations nearby honor. #2 Lack of customer service- the older male that has worked there a long time (speaks limited English) is very friendly, the rest not so much. I wanted multiple gift cards last month and he (the older male) asked his manager/supervisor for assistance and the Mgr/supv tells him (in Spanish) he only has 2 hands he has to do it himself! I understand when it’s busy you may need a minute before you can assist someone, but if I’m ready to checkout and trying to LEAVE he could at least say it will be just a minute, perhaps even apologize to me (the customer!!) for the wait, instead the older man had to figure it out on his own…the tall male mgr/supv had a total lack of respect to his elder colleague even laughed/snickered at him. 3. Higher prices, SPOILED FOOD! on the app, you can see the prices at one location versus another… Right down the street, also on Topanga, the prices are cheaper and the customer service is better.. Today I decided to go there because I had a free sandwich Reward, but who wants to eat spoiled food even if it’s FREE!! I thought I would try the 5 meat Italian and this is what the roast beef in the sandwich look like. HORRIBLE!! Because it’s FREE give out spoiled meat?? I even got the 3rd degree trying to pickup my free spoiled sandwich, giving my name and showing my order on the App was not enough… I had to go to the PROFILE setting to PROVE it was my name associated with the order. Only gave 2 stars to atmosphere because the location is usually clean, but that’s really the ONLY positive. Save yourself the hassle and potential food poisoning… The Subways are fresher, cheaper, and have better customer service on Topanga near Variel and on Roscoe near De Soto.
Absolutely disgusting customer service. Beyond rude and completely unprofessional. The employee’s name is Juan, and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at any Subway. I walked in to pick up my online order and stood at the counter while he was finishing it. To avoid any awkwardness, I simply said, “That’s my order.” Instead of responding professionally, he immediately started mocking me and acting like I was trying to steal something. He sarcastically said that anyone could walk in and claim an order and that he “can’t just hand sandwiches out.” Of course, asking for proof is fine. That’s not the issue. The issue is the way he did it — rude tone, mocking attitude, and completely disrespectful. Then it got worse. I was picking up three sandwiches. As he was wrapping them, I noticed he didn’t put dressing on one of them. When I pointed it out, he snapped back saying I never asked for any. I had to pull out my phone and show him my receipt to prove that I clearly ordered mayo. No apology. No accountability. Nothing. He slapped the sandwiches on the counter with rude body language and a dismissive gesture like I was inconveniencing him. When I told him I would never come back because of how rude he was, his response? “It’s fine. You can go to Panda Express next door or McDonald’s.” Unbelievable. If this is how customers are treated, management needs to seriously step in. I will absolutely never return to this location again. Avoid this Subway if you expect basic respect.
So bad on so many levels. 2 bad experiences at this location in a row. First time the bread was very stale, a complete waste, I didn't even finish the sandwich just threw it away. I gave them another chance a few weeks later. Both times, The person helping me did not know a word of english. That's a big problem in a business like subway where you have to give instructions on how you want your sandwich made.... On top of that, the tuna tasted weird and had a abnormal texture, I have had tuna at many other subways and its usually fine, this one though, it was weird. Also, I ordered a brocolli soup and she mumbled some words(no english) then went to the back for several minutes, comes back out with my soup.... I open it up its not even hot, barely luke warm and has a weird runny texture, very suspicious. Every subway has hot soup in the front where you can see it, she brings it out from the back and its very bad quality.... Never ever going back. Bad quality and terrible service with no english.

The vegetables looked old, the tomatoes were so mushy. Nothing looked fresh as it should and definitely does in other Subway locations. Will not come back to this location!!!
