I stopped here with a friend and our babies after walking on the Cardiff rail trail. I’d driven past this cafe before but never stopped in. I’m so glad she convinced me to try it! The food was outstanding. I ordered a number 5, which is a breakfast burrito which has eggs and potatoes in it. The staff was able to accommodate my request for modifications (no eggs, and adding cilantro). It was delicious and the pico sauce add just the right amount of spice!! The inside is so cute, with surfer vibes but a very positive and relaxing energy. The staff is extremely friendly and upbeat. We didn’t even wait 5 minutes before our food was ready, which is crazy because the line was out the door! The bathroom is super clean too, the whole place seems to be up to par in terms of sanitation, which is always a relief. The table we sat outside at was also very clean and the umbrellas offered a nice shade, which was nice because we both brought babies under 1. I am so happy that I found this place, I already loved the rail trail for walking and now I have a new favorite place to grab a bite to eat after!!

This place is an all around good experience. The vibe is very nice and the employees are super friendly. Food is definitely a good bang for your buck. You get a lot of food for a great price. The quality of the ingredients is phenomenal and it all comes together so well.

Feast Your Eyes

I’m impressed with the simplicity of the dishes and the flavor that they delivered. The Big Breakfast with French Toast was packed with flavor. The potatoes were cooked phenomenally. The bacon and english muffin were cooked to a nice crispy texture. The eggs had a terrific fluffy texture. The french toast had wonderful tasty flavor and fluffy texture. Next, I tried the Ham Scrambler and no surprise it too was delicious. All the ingredients together bursts with flavor. The potatoes and english muffin were no different than the ones from the Big Breakfast. Both dishes were perfect and I can’t wait to try out more.

We stumbled upon Pipes while on a bike ride one morning and absolutely loved it! Great food, great vibe, very reasonable. Highly recommend. I really enjoyed the breakfast burrito and my wife loved her breakfast tacos.

Quick, hearty breakfast for surfers and families, delicious food. Reasonable prices. The seating can get competitive during busy times. It's good to go about an hour before they close, as it's a bit emptier. But it's worth the shuffle and snagging a seat to go for breakfast or brunch. Nice little view of the beach. The Big Breakfast is so large you can split it with someone. Same with the Cobb salad. Overall, a phenomenal long standing gem in Cardiff.

The line here was about 5 people deep but that went out the door. We ordered the Pipes Egg Sandwich which was a Toasted English Muffin filled with Eggs, Bacon, Cheese, Tomato and Mayo. We also got the #2 Burrito which had Eggs, Bacon, Cheese, Potatoes, Pica Sauce on a Tortilla. Then we saw the coffee bar was another part of the restaurant, we got a regular drip coffee, a Peanut Butter Mocha and a Snickers Mocha. The coffee barista said the Snickers Mocha was one of the most popular and I totally see why. It was super cool too that the drip coffee was unlimited refills.

Wow. Finally a place near N. SD that offers a filling breakfast, friendly service and value. Had the basic French toast plate. Excellent. I’ve completely given up on eating breakfast in Ocean Beach, the armpit of PB.

Food was ok, not much better than Dennys or Ihop. The prices are great and the servings are huge ( shareable). Would recommend , atmosphere is great and the customer service is amazing

Pretty cool spot. Small location with outdoor deck for seating street side so you jave a bit of ocean view. You can definitely feel the see breeze which is awesome when it's warm. There's an outdoor coffee bar with a barista. The food is pretty good. I need to come back and try the lunch menu before I give it a 5 star. The salsa was mild at best. Hopefully they offer something hotter but didn't ask since I was in a hurry. Staff was super friendly. Parking is small but there is some street parking you can hunt down.

At first entry, we thought, WOW! This is gonna be great!! The service at the counters was awesome!! However, we made SPECIFIC requests regarding our meal. My wife does not like runny egg whites (over-medium, with a specific request for egg whites to be cooked through should suffice, hell, I can do this easily at home, 400 miles away). They were more than runny!! Personally, I am less picky. I like my eggs ‘fried’ or ‘sunny side up’. I KNOW this can mean the whites are under cooked… Mine were COLD… Lastly, in a community that seems to be ‘in the know’, why are we served (at a restaurant that is busy), on paper plates and given a foil and plastic bag for our leftovers. This place has lost all passion for food and the environment!!

Came based off the reviews of the potatoes, ours were burned and not seasoned, eggs were alright, pancakes were alright but very buttery, service was fast and good and location is pretty, food just not all that
