Will always love the food here and our server, Sunny ☀️, was very attentive during our visit. She helped explain how to set up our Bibimbap which was really nice and her service was very good!
I love coming here, every time the food is made fresh and the service is amazing. We had Sunhee as our server, she was so kind and attentive! The spicy bulgogi was delicious and so are the sides they bring out!
Had an amazing time eating here ! I got the LA Galbi and mild tofu which were just incredible! My server Mae made it an amazing experience with how attentive and helpful she was while I asked about specific menu items! The staff and food is excellent and would definitely come back again!
I love this place!!! My family and I have become regulars and the only server that ever stood out to me was Ms. Kara. She’s a 10 out of 10!!! Everyone request for her. She’s so sweet to my family and the kids love her too. I’ve never had to ask for anything because she already knew what I was looking for. Always bring extra napkins, scissor, tongs and the water stay filled. Come support my favorite server Kara!!!!
BCD tofu house is amazing!!! 10/10 would recommend and Sunny gave the best service! She’s so sweet and we never had to ask for anything because she would already be refilling sides or drinks! Try out the seafood soup!!! So so good! 🤩
Came in with my mom and sister today and was served by Victoria. What an amazing first experience, she even spoke perfect Spanish! We ordered the seafood tofu soup, the kimchi soup, and the dumpling soup. Amazing brother flavor the medium spice was delicious! The croacker was warm and fried to perfection will come back to Victoria!
Excellent food and service compared to other bcd tofu in NY or other state, it’s delicious. Broth is definitely there. Noticed when we came on weekend it was way too busy. Weekday no wait and waitresses are way nicer than weekend ones. Thanks to Victoria she made me feel special compared to when I just came last weekend. Different level of service than weekdays.
I finally got to try BCD Tofu House after craving their viral spicy raw marinated crab for over two years — and it did not disappoint! The crab was spicy and sweet with a great texture. It wasn’t exactly what I expected flavor-wise, and personally I wish it were just a bit saltier, but once I added a little soy sauce dipping sauce with rice and seaweed… it healed every little part of me that had been craving this dish for so long. I ordered the Spicy Crab Combo with the Soon Kimchi Beef Tofu, and it was AMAZING. The tofu soup was perfectly spicy, comforting, and packed with flavor. The combo came with a whole variety of banchan sides — all delicious except for the squid, which just wasn’t my favorite. My husband got the LA Galbi, and WOW. It was incredibly tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. He normally does not like Korean BBQ or Korean food at all, but even he said this was the best quality Korean meal he’s ever had. That alone says everything! Our server was wonderful — super friendly, attentive, and she gave great recommendations. We drove one full hour just to try this place, and it was absolutely worth it. After eating, we even explored the nearby Asian stores, which made the whole trip even better. We will definitely be coming back. Best Korean food experience we’ve had so far! 🙌🇰🇷🔥
This is my second visit to this restaurant. On a cold day, this place is the best. We ordered the C5, S3, and A3. The server brought out a bunch of little side dishes. Then the soup came. The soup was still bubbling. (It was still boiling, in the bowl.) Then the main dish came out. We cracked the egg into the rice, then added the veggies. (On the first visit we got the 'medium' spice level. On this visit we got the 'spicy' spice level.) The food was great. Spicy but flavorful. And fresh off the fire hot. Be careful because the food is hot.
I grew up in Korea, and it’s honestly hard to find truly authentic Korean food with good side dishes and consistently great flavors, but BCD Tofu House really delivers. If you want real Korean food, this is the place to go. Everything is good, even the banchan. I highly recommend the combo with galbi and tofu soup. It is a lot of food and, in my opinion, better than AYCE BBQ. The galbi is nicely charred and full of flavor, and the tofu soup comes out boiling hot. The rice is served in a traditional stone pot. Pro Tip: ask for hot water at the end to pour on the leftover scorched rice to make sungnyung — toasted rice water. It is the perfect way to finish the meal!
Love this authentic Korean tofu pot house! This place can be very busy at times. Fortunately we didn’t have to wait for our weekday lunch. The service was adequate. And the food is amazing. We ordered 2 “Soon Tofu” and a plate of galbi. We fully enjoy everything. Although we do think the galbi isn’t cheap. But it tasted so good. We also enjoyed all the small dishes they provided.
Came here for the first time as my wife recommended here! We ordered vegetarian tofu soup and combo set of bibimpap and tofu soup! They were sooo delicious!!! All the side dishes were great as well! Rice 🍚 was also great with the perfect texture! So happy that we came here despite 15 mins of waiting! Worth the waits! Come and enjoy the taste of Texas Korean foods! :) Cheers 🥂
Our recent visit to BCD Tofu House was amazing! The tofu was incredibly fresh, and the soup with tofu was the perfect comfort food. The fried mackerel fish was cooked to perfection, and the kimchi was delicious. The spicy pork bulgogi and seafood pancake were also quite good. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel very welcome. The only downside was that the BCD Ade drink was too sweet for my taste.
Not many vegetarian options at all, only 2. However, the vegetarian combo we got tasted really good! Enough portion for two people. Banchan side dishes were really yummy and fresh! Would come again. However, we asked for no egg and they said either we have the egg in the dish or we don’t. You cannot request to have it on the side.
Pretty good tofu House but not quite as good as Cho Dang. For BCD, the tofu soup is smaller if your order it with a combo, unlike Cho Dang. And in my opinion, the soup isn't quite as good. The combos are also a little more expensive. And the rice portion is smaller. BCD does have really great kimchi though, and the fish cake side is really good. The short ribs are a little sweeter so it's up to you if you like that more.
First time here. So to start off, I like how their menus are on the paper placemats. Definitely better than touching those nasty plastic menus they have at other places. I ordered the hot stone beef bibimbap. If you like your food to be very very hot during the entire time that you’re eating your meal, then this is the dish for you. I got it for the experience, but I wish that I got the regular one, since it took me longer to eat it. It also had a small amount of beef, which I felt was a bit stingy. I’ve been to other places that are more generous with that. The sides were pretty good, so overall the meal was ok. My boyfriend got the spicy pork bulgogi, which had good flavor. The sides he got were also pretty good. Overall, it was a good Korean place.
March 2025 The first Korean restaurant as soon as we came back from spring break. Tired and exhausted after much traveling this arrived 8 ish in the evening. Simply delighted and craved for some hot soup and comfort food. Unfortunately, not very attentive service and wanted us to close our check early since we are approaching closing time. Frankly, we don’t want to add burden to the exhausted servers. Not a good situation, we were exhausted from traveling and the servers were tired from a long day of work. Regardless, at least make an effort to refill our side dishes before we requested. My rating as 5 is very satisfied Taste 5/5 the great tasty food recovered the quality of the service. Courteous and Attentiveness 2/5 Cleanliness 4/5 Temperature 5/5 Will I revisit? Yes. Will i recommend? Come for the food. Don’t expect to have a WOW service.
The first time I went to this place was a year ago. I didn't realize it would take this long to return but it wasn't worth the wait! The name is misleading and one would think there is a lot of tofu based dishes! One would be wrong! There is less than a smidge of tofu dishes on the menu. And let's discuss the menu. It isn't built for Non-Koreans! Its layout is confusing and you can't get a clear understanding of what comes with the combo platters. When you ask the server, they act like it is an imposition to explain. I could use my translation app but last time I checked, it was a servers JOB to explain the menu. I don't remember feeling so unwelcome in a SERVICE-BASED ESTABLISHMENT! The food wasn't good enough to put up with the lackluster service. I got the Bulgogi and I think eating leather would have been a more flavorful experience. The Banchan was ok. I've had meals where all I ate was the Banchan because of the variety of flavors. These were like listening to the B-side a broken record! Compared to other restaurants in the area, BCD Tofu House doesn't measure up. Try it if you want but there are better places to spend approximately $25 per person pre-tax...and get more than an over-fried mackerel staring at you!
I've been wanting to go here for quite some time, but their kitchen closes quite early. I'm glad I finally made it. My mother and sister come here quite often, so I kind of know what to expect. It's a good portion for the pricing. Get the kalbi and tofu combo. My husband didn't listen and got the bulgogi. It was okay. I got the fish, and tbh the appetizer fish was better. However, the tofu soup is delicious, and you can order it vegan style (non beef stock). For the tofu soup, I recommend the seafood one.
Delicious, authentic korean food and soups!! This is definitely the spot for spicy, kimchi, tofu soups. It was very busy, line was out the door and barely any parking near by when we stopped by on a weekend for lunch. Would recommend getting there in advance for bigger tables since they won’t seat big groups until everyone is there. Service was okay - our server was very strict about not allowing us to bring outside food in but our younger sibling, under the age of 10, does not eat Korean food so we had to bring him something to snack on. There was a bit of a fuss at the table until they finally relented so that he could finish his snack quickly. Not sure why this is such a big policy in restaurants - especially for young children who may not be able to eat certain cuisines…
This place is one of my favorite new restaurants. As soon as you enter the hostess greets you with beautiful positive energy. They have tons of seating, very clean environment and it’s a loud bustling atmosphere. The food quality was excellent except for the egg to add to the tofu bowl it was not organic or pasteurize raised (I’m picky with raw eggs). I used only the egg white from it. Overall it was very well priced and addicting to the tastebuds. Everything was perfect other than 1 item.
Went on a Saturday during lunch time. Was crowded so has to wait but not that long probably 15 mins. Ordered the galbi combo and was very disappointed because why did it only come with like 6 pieces of meat. Also got the spicy pork and it was not spicy at all and was kinda sweet. I don't know if that's just my tastebuds not liking sweet food and preferring my spicy pork to be on the saltier side but who knows. Also go the bibimbap with beef and there was barely any meat. They give you side dishes and rice with each entree you order and most are your basic side dishes you'd usually get at a Korean restaurant. The only thing I noticed is different from other places is that they give a small fried fish here. In addition to the fried fish as a side dish the way they serve the rice here is different from most places I've been to too. The rice is cooked and served in like the stone bowls or whatever they're called which is cool. Good place to try but probably won't be coming back.
Absolutely ridiculous experience. This was our FIRST TIME here and instead of helping, the ladies taking orders acted like we were inconveniencing them just by existing. The menu is confusing as hell for newcomers, and when we tried to order, the lady caught an attitude immediately—rude tone, impatient, clearly annoyed we weren’t experts already. Like sorry we didn’t magically know your system?? Customer service was straight up awful. No warmth, no patience, just hostility. And that’s what makes this even more frustrating—the food was actually good, which makes it embarrassing that the service drags the whole place down this badly. They seriously need to start reading their reviews because bad service will wreck their reputation fast. Good food does NOT excuse making customers feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Do better. Period.
I ordered the LA galbi, but throughout the meal I kept biting into hard bone fragments or bone chips. I honestly don’t understand how it was prepared in a way that bone particles were scattered throughout the meat. Even eating very carefully, I kept crunching on hard pieces and was genuinely worried I might damage a tooth. This made the dish very unpleasant and unsafe to eat.
