Appears to be a very popular dinner spot, with good reason as I'm learning. I've had dinner here twice this week while in the area on business. The food is exceptional and the service is first rate. The soup is especially notable. Everything seems to be fresh, nothing frozen. I will say the vegetables are a bit overcooked. Not crisp - kinda mushy. Not a huge selection of brews if that's your thing, but a few locals and the usual popular favorites. The ambiance is comfortable, the place is clean, and they have direct TV for NFL season. If I lived here it would be my regular.

This is a Jamaican gem in downtown bk area, definitely check out this place. Me and my friend stopped in for lunch & left completely happy and stuffed. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a pina colada that wasn’t so great but our waiter Regis was so nice about it & did everything to make sure I was happy with everything else that came to our table. Can’t beat A+ service paired with A+ food. I will definitely come back here.

What an amazing experience! We came in from out of town from buffalo and stopped for dinner. We were greeted by a wonderful waitress who quickly got our drinks from the bar. We ordered hot peppers, Manhattan clam chowder, hot wings and a bacon burger. Everything was delicious! We were especially surprised on the wings they were hot and crispy! If your in the area I would definitely stop!!!!!!!!

My family and I came for dinner. We ordered boneless chicken wings and everyone ordered a different side dish. My dad ordered a roast beef meal. Everyone was very pleased with our dinners and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. The prices are great and beats places like Applebee's hands down.

My spouse and I both got the lasagna dinners for takeout while we were visiting the area. We weren't really expecting much, but they were fantastic and the portions were generous. The garlic bread had a minced garlic spread on top and was delicious. Even the Italian dressing seemed house made. It was a great value for the cost. Would love to go back and try more dishes if we're back in that area some day. (didn't rate the atmosphere bc it was takeout but it seemed like a cozy, unpretentious place).

Randomly, stopped in to eat at this quaint little restaurant forvthe first time. We were on our way home. I have been meaning to stop by for years. Finally stopped in had delicious corn chowder and a steak sandwich, which was amazing. Our waitress, her name was Kenzie, she floated to every table with a beautiful smile, unbothered by the chaos and very busy environment. She was prompt with drinks and very aware if we needed anything. She was great and The food was great highly recommend.

I love this spot. My coworkers and I occasionally come here from across the street for Saturday lunch. It’s very welcoming and friendly inside. The staff and patrons are very relaxed and chill. Lots of TVs above the bar displaying any sport you’d like from NASCAR to golf. The food is fairly priced and good quality. Portions are good sized, and the food is tasty and filling after a hard week of work. I love the specials on offer. They update the specials regularly, though I’m not sure if it’s daily or weekly. The $1.50 cheeseburger special is hard to beat. I recommend the jalapeño poppers appetizer to start. If you need time to order, it’s a solid pick while you decide. They’ll be fresh meaning they’re piping hot and have molten cheese inside, so cut them open to cool before biting into them though! The chicken sandwiches are huge, and I definitely recommend them. The chicken patties are so big, they use two pieces of cheese to cover it.

I got the creamy ham and potato soup, an Angry Orchard, and a crispy chicken sandwich. There was so much food, I could only have a few bites of the sandwich! I'll definitely eat the rest for lunch tomorrow. Service was amazing on a Wednesday night after Christmas: everyone was very friendly, and they were able to get our order in with no complaints a few minutes before the fryer closed for the night. I had to finish my step mom's "shot" of tequila because the pour was so generous - it was more like a double than a single shot!

I arrived to a very busy bar and restaurant. My first thought was this may be a while, but I was rather surprised to find my table quickly and was able to get my beverage within a few minutes of arriving. Caitlyn was very helpful in suggesting menu items and specials. The choice was made for meatloaf and mashed potatoes along with a starter salad with ranch dressing. The salad came out quickly and was made with fresh lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The meatloaf was served hot with brown gravy, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. The food was very good and definitely filled me up. There was no room for dessert this visit but I plan to return for more. Thank you Caitlyn for your attention to detail and assistance with my menu choice.

The service is very pleasant. The bar and restaurant are in desperate rooms so it is still very family friendly. The Patio is very nice and I enjoy it when it is open. Oh and the food? So GOOD! Very home style meals.

Karaoke was going on tonight, had chicken Parmesan on a huge bed of spaghetti, with house salad and white chicken chili. More than ample portions; I'm a big eater and had to take a box to go! Prices are reasonable, full lunch and dinner menu with good variety.

Got the nachos.. they will fill you up. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the crisps were layered, covered with meat and cheese, layered again.... not just a pile with a little meat and cheese. Great presentation with filling ingredients. Sour cream and salsa on the side for your preference of use.

While working in the Capital District for several months in the winter months of 2016 I frequented Samson's. Excellent prices, very good food and friendly service on most nights. It is a clean, well maintained environment and clearly a local favorite. With that said, if you are from out of town, expect side glances and exclusion from the locals. While common in the general area, it is especially prevalent in the case of Samson's.

This place is the common man's paradise, hardwood all the way around, lottery machines and good food from wings to the ribeye. It's just a shame and a sign of the times that an establishment with this much country cred' has truly and white claw and every niche seltzer beer but not one drop of Busch light

Chicken Parm was very good Reuben was okay too (just needed alittle more love) The Nachos were the only thing that could of been better like layering the cheese and meat & stuff instead of being all on the top and the rest of it was dry. We have come here to meet friend s for dinner on several occasions. It's a bar first, restaurant second. Pretty steady regular crowd on weekends...food is what you'd expect. Perfectly fine..nothing outstanding but nothing bad either. Prices are also average- portions are on par with it. Full bar, variety of beers, service is always very pleasant and timely. Place is a little "tired" looking- but always clean!! Can be loud at peak times...hard for anyone with hearing issues.

Had nachos and pizza for the first time there. The meat on the nachos and pizza looked artificial and the cheese on the pizza did as well…. All in all the taste was not good . Wouldn’t order these items again.

The food took forever to come out we got there at 6:15 didn't get our food until 7:30 and we ordered at 6:30. Our salads for our entree came out after the entree. Waited a long time for refills. I was extremely unimpressed.
