Very good....... a little TOO good.....
Good food
Ordered soup and 2 lunch plates. Foods served fresh, enough spices and not salty. Good service, good prices, $$.
Great food. Good portions. Very delicious.
First time trying And it was sooooo good Had the short ribs & papaya Will order again
Everything I have gotten from King kong has been spectacular. Hands down my favorite chinese restaurant.
I've been coming here for years. Always really good.
Food was delicious, fast delivery.
Good food and price is good too
Quite affordable and big portion.
Good food and good price
Family owned small restaurant serving up delicious (Cantonese) chinese food. So far, everything has been delicious and fresh - you can sometimes hear the wok in the back roaring. My favorite is the braised fish clay pot dish. Bring patience and a hungry stomach and you’ll be rewarded.
Papaya short ribs, lemon chicken, vegetable chow mein, veggie egg rolls. Also, duck to go which is not shown in the pictures. All delicious food very authentic if you're looking for that. This is not a place you come to if you're hoping for fast Chinese food you see in the window. Very authentic Cantonese style Chinese food. This is my new favorite whole in in the Wall Chinese food place.
Homely, awesome skilled chef, perfect food. Definitely coming back.

This is our go to Chinese take out! The roasted duck, and many other dishes are delicious. Not a fancy place inside but the food is delicious!
My girlfriend's parents love this restaurant and I'm not going to lie, it's grown on me. We've been here about 5 times in the past half year and it's been a delight every time. Our favorite is the Salty Egg Pumpkin and the Scallop Fried Rice. There's just something unique and special about their fried rice that no other restaurant has come to match. I can't put my finger on it, but I'm a huge fan. We usually order 1-2 for our table and order an additional 2 to go for the next day's lunch. All in all, great Chinese food!
After trying dampa next door disappointed, I was like let's give this restaurant a try. The experience was amazing, the food were extremely well cooked. i brought my wife back here many times and we both loved it so much. the workers there treated us like family!!! the best part is that they were so friendly that they were able to give us a big discount on a large order of party trays.
This restaurant is AMAZING! This is such a hidden gem. Food here is very well priced and the portion is amazing. Lunch is sometimes a little busy because of how good their food is. So, I usually try to order around dinner time.
We love this restaurant. If you are going to this place be prepared to eat the authentic dishes, not the regular American Chinese Food, it’s a bomb. Sooooo delicious!!!!! We love their claypot dishes...specially the braised pork with salted fish and eggplant in clay pot...yummmy with steam rice and crispy chicken. The staff are excellent. Very friendly, good service and fast. Most of all, prices are very reasonable... big portions too.
Best fast Chinese food option in the area. Some cheaper options out there, but Kong's quality is worth an extra buck. Vast menu with lots of authentic options. Deep Fried Eggplant, Pot Stickers, and the Mongolian Beef are all-stars.

Love this place the staff is nice
My favorite place to eat...
Very tasty ox tail stew, salted German pig feet is out of this world..Small but down to earth friendly restaurant
It’s one of the better chinese restaurants near Hayward. However, sometimes it could be a miss.
Little hole in the wall but delicious food and good value.
Cozy place, food quality is great
Fast, friendly and tasty.
King Kong is a Taishan style Cantonese food, with a lot of authentic dishes like 5 flavor goose, clay pot eel rice. My personal favorite, clay lot eel rice. It is delicious. But unfortunately, you could only do to go. Due to labor shortages, the restaurant is not open for dine in.

Very nice people. Food is good. Not fancy at all.
So so. Skinny chicken, mostly skin & bones, hardly any meat.
I haven't tried it yet , looking forward to it
Ate early lunch here [1039am], they supposedly opened at 1030am. Sat for about 5-minutes with a menu I got for myself. I was about to leave when a lady [finally] came out and greeted me. Starting to be a bit apprehensive, from all the negative reviews. Ordered their vegetarian egg rolls/6.45 and won ton noodle soup/11.95. Soup was good, egg rolls were awful-no taste. Thankfully, I also asked for chilli-paste, which made the egg rolls at least palatable. Soup had the skinny-noodles but most were broken/strange. The won tons were scarce/about 5 of them. Soup had some carrot pieces and chinese flat beans. The broth was way better than the won tons and noodles. Not exactly what I expected, I probably won't return because there are better chinese restaurants in CV.
Went there and the place was empty. I usually like supporting little mom and pop Asian restaurants but have to be honest, I thought the food was just ok. Maybe it was just the dishes were ordered. We ordered veggie eggrolls, general tso chicken and seafood pan fried noodles. Can't say anything about the eggrolls since my kids were the ones that ate it. The general tso chicken looked like it was just minced chicken, and when we tasted it the flavor was fine but this was barely breaded especially with very small meat pieces. The seafood pan fried noodles were crispy but did lack the pan flavor. The noodle dish was a bit on the salty side and the flavor that sticks out the most was soy sauce. I usually like the pan fried noodles for the pan flavor and sauce that's is a mixture of seasonings. I can make crispy noodles with soy sauce seasoning myself. Sorry I grew up with my dad cooking all the time, and he used to work at a restaurant. So I'm a little picky. The bathroom has a sign indicating out of order but it worked. The floor felt greasy and I kept feeling like I was going to slip and fall.
The food was ok. The salty pig was good. The beef chow fun was mushy. Nothing really stood out. Dont think I would go back
Nice people, but was not my favorite. I ordered the lettuce wraps and they were not good. Hardly any chicken to be found. The noodles we not the best either.

They need to step their game up and stop cooking cheap food.
I was disappointed with my experience at King Kong Chinese restaurant. The eel clay pot rice, priced at over $70 without prior notice, seemed excessively expensive. When I raised concerns about the high prices, the staff argued about overhead costs, including labor, utilities, and rent. It's reasonable to discuss costs, but expecting customers to cover all expenses is questionable. Additionally, the food was mediocre, not justifying the high price.
We've had good meals at the San Leandro branch, but things were off tonight. The spare ribs had some bites with a weird metallic flavor and the fortune cookies were mushy. The duck was good though!
The fried rice was decent... my other dish was forgettable. When I got home I opened the order of deep fried wontons I got and there was nothing inside of 5 of them, lmao. The other two had one small nugget of chicken that was bouncing around inside of it. Kind of made me giggle, totally egregious... $7.45 for air stuffed fried wontons... are those considered vegetarian? lol
The taste of food is ok,but I am kind on disappointed with their oyster pot. They cut the oyster into half ,which not only lost it taste, also make a oyster smaller.

Super Greasy food.
Fast delivery food was not good the beef and broc had all broc not too much meat all my entries had extra veggies to make up for meat I will not be going back
My beef was nothing but fat, mushrooms were tough. Threw out 13.00 worth of food.
Rude and dishonest people work here in this place. Do not come to this place. I do not recommend this place because of the type of people that work here are rude and dishonest, I am very disappointed I ordered food here.
Food was bad and food when straight to the garbage, dimsum was bad and they are made of shrimp I could get seafood poisoning
I ordered some Togo, They use poor ingredients and are very unpalatable
Apparently you have to pay 15% to dine in
I ordered fish flavor pork. First the chef (who also took my order) refused to give me white rice instead of fried rice. (Fried rice costs an extra $1.50). Then when the food came out it was eggplant. Had to send it back and this is what I got. I lived in China for ten years. This is NOT fish flavor pork (鱼香肉丝). No Chinese person would accept this. This is vegetable stir fry with brown sauce. You'd get more authentic Chinese food at Panda Express. And it's cheaper too.
