This was our first time here, and it’s officially our forever date spot! The food was incredibly fresh, and the service was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to come back!

This is the BEST sushi place in north Austin. The quality is consistently amazing, haven’t been disappointed once. I won’t go anywhere else. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. They have a great lunch special also!

I almost want to gate keep this place. I won’t say the food is closest to Japan because if I closed my eyes I wouldn’t know that this was not Japan. We ordered the miso soup, salad, mixed tempura, beef teriyaki , edamame , tiger roll, kotatsu (fried chicken). Everything blew our minds. Cannot recommend enough. 100/10

Their food is very nice, and reminded me of the food I ate in Japan, so I come here once in a while with friends and family. Prices are decent, service is good, and their seafood is nice. They have a lunch menu that's great value, and a dinner menu that serves izakaya style dishes. I will keep coming back here for more.

We love coming here for sushi. It's in a little strip center in Cedar Park, but they have delicious sushi. The place is kind of small and intimate, so you may have to wait if it's at a busy time. They have great happy hour specials and the kid options are good. Our kids love the tempura chicken and shrimp. We normally love the edamame, but it was a little dry and seemed overcooked. We love their specialty rolls and have tried almost all of them over time. Some favorites are Jennifer, fiesta, rainbow, rock and roll, red eye, spicy tuna and more. The service is great and the place is nice and clean, although it could you a refresh and touch up. Overall, a thumbs up.

This restaurant is exactly what you call a neighborhood hidden gem. Small place huge true authentic menu and reasonable price!! You can tell this is not an Americanized Japanese restaurant with the menu and the service! Not every roll has mayo and deep fried and they even have full grilled squid and ginger pork.

Underrated sushi spot. Their fish quality is so good, and they give out thick pieces of fishes as well. This is our second time to Daichi and it surely isn’t our last. I would say to skip appetizers and ger their rolls/sashimis/nigiris bc they are surely worth your money. Nice folks so it feels good to be supporting them

This might be one of the better sushi places we’ve been to. We don’t usually go back to places when we’re traveling, but this one we did. It was that good. A fun and previously unknown appetizer (to us) was the broiled crab stuffed avocado topped with panko. We ordered it both times. The lunch bento box was excellent - the mackerel was perfectly cooked and the sashimi was super fresh. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon sushi were as good as I’ve had. Service was excellent. It was a little cool in there - we kept our light jackets on while eating and noticed others did as well.

This place is sort of a hole in the wall, but don't let that fool you. The sushi combinations were on point and the fish was very fresh. It seems that they take care of the customers and have a few unique options that I would like to try on my next visit. The good thing is they don't load up the sushi rolls with rice, it's very balanced with everything that they put in there. The Tomo roll is for the salmon lover, the shrimp puff roll was surprisingly pretty good, their OMG roll and the kiss of fire also would recommend. There were tons of other rolls that they had on the menu that I would like to try. They also have some non-sushi menu items that look very interesting.

We've been going here for YEARS. I got engaged in this resturant bc me and my partner adore this cozy sushi spot so much. The staff is respectable and hardworking and you can taste the quality and love in their food. It is the only place we wouldn't mind ordering from week after week because their food is comforting. The black cod is my newest favorite dish from them. It's a small plate of perfectly fried and delicate fish and I always try to order it every occassion I can get. Katsu curry is also a classic favorite and the sushi quality is top tier. I highly recommend coming in during the lunch time with someone and getting their lunch special. My favorite roll to get is the Longhorn roll paired with katsu while my partner gets the Red Diamond roll with edemame which is paired with miso soup or a salad... best combo ever. I love this place.

Consistently one of the BEST sushi restaurants in Cedar Park!!! Quality service and food, and great prices. The fish is always fresh and everything has amazing flavors. My family are regulars here because it’s just that good. I especially love the two roll lunch special! It’s a good amount of food for a deal of a price. The miso soup it comes with is out of this world!!!! Do not miss Daichi next time you’re craving sushi!

There are a decent amount of options, including sashimi, nigiri, rolls, cold and hot appetizers, etc. Food seemed fresh. Service can become slower when it reaches peak times since there is only one server. This is a small local business with authentic jp food and it’s hidden in a strip mall with plenty of parking.

This is a really great sushi place especially if you looking for something fast and tasty. I personally thought that it tasted pretty fresh and they were willing to accommodate my allergy restrictions. Definitely willing to go back give it a try!

Recently found, we've become steady customers. We love this place. I particularly love the "Rainbow Salad", consisting of spring salad leaf, dollop of mixed/seasoned avocado, assorted sushi, roe and sauce drizzle. (NO rice or seaweed). Very light and refreshing. We also like the Gyoza. NOT premade. Again, light and refreshing. The sushi and rolls are awesome as well. Hesitate to post a review because I don't want them to become too popular. Ha!

Chirashi don is good with a decent price. Tofu is good too. Squid is ok tho. Can give it a try if you haven't been here.

This is such a wonderful, family run, small business. Their food is consistently delicious, prepared to perfection and made of the best ingredients. I have not found better mackerel and fatty salmon nigiri. Their menu is so large, there is something for everyone. The kid's plate is a lot of fun while exposing kids to new foods.

The food was pretty good and felt authentic. The waitress (believe she is the owner) was not too friendly and we felt it had to be her way (table setup and empty plates taken away). She has the attitude. The price was a bit high based on the food they serve. After tax and tips, it's about $45 per person. Also we waited for a long time before the first dish came while we were the first table for the night.

I've been searching Austin for the best Japanese Curry Katsu, and Daichi is certainly in the running. Daichi doesn't have the greatest location, but if you like food in Austin, you know that usually is a good thing. Their miso soup is probably one of the best I've had in the city, and I don't typically like it. Their katsu curry is very moist and crisp, but I do wish there was more meat... The curry itself is nicely flavored, but I do like mine a bit thicker as the curry is more soupy than creamy. It's a nice spot and if it wasn't so far north, I'd probably go there more frequently!

Food was ok, but the yaki udon was a little too salty. Otherwise everything else were good. Would have prefer the hostess come and check on us, and probably refill our water.

Authentic Japanese flavor. Meh service as boss lady seems to always be mad and impatient..might be nicer to white people. Food is good. We've been coming for a couple years. The prices are going up for sure. 3-4 people $200 after tip
