So many choices, and menu is categorized which is helpful. There are no signs showing what is vegetarian from what I saw, which would be a nice addition. The prices are good for the portions and what you get. The service was great! Everyone was so nice and attentive. They have some garlic knots and they were insanely good, so crispy on the outside and soft and layered on the inside. With some butter, so awesome. The desserts all looked great as well, we got the Limoncello cake and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend trying it out :)

We stumbled on a new restaurant today in Cedar Park off Cypress Creek. They have awesome food. We ordered Fettuccine Alfredo which was creamy and the best I had since I moved here from New Jersey. Their Cesar Salad was spot on. The Veal was tender and perfect. The Chicken Gnocchi Soup was excellent. My wife had Chicken Parmigiana and it was tender and juicy. We were quite impressed! Definitely would recommend it.

We arrived almost closing time. They welcomed us with a smile, good food, and excellent service. You need to try this nice restaurant. The flavor of the food is excellent. You should try their calamari out of this world and the portion is more than enough to serve 4 people as an appetizer. Good as always.

We had dinner at Salerno Cucina Italiana last night and had a wonderful experience. We arrived a little after 5 pm before the evening rush. Our waiter was so polite. My daughter spilled her water and another waitress came over to help and was incredibly helpful and so kind. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere lively. We started dinner with the buttery garlic knots and garlic oil. I was surprised at how airy the bread was. They were coming out fresh from the oven. I am not ashamed to admit I ate 3 of them. The fried calamari was well cooked and breaded in a crunchy, salty breading that went so well with the sweet and bold marinara sauce. I fell in love with the sauce. Soon after we arrived the restaurant got very busy and we were still attended to promptly and politely. Due to the rush, our food took a little longer than expected to come out but it was worth the wait. The chicken pesto was creamy and not too salty. My daughter ordered shrimp Alfredo and was so excited about how large the shrimp were. They were buttery and cooked to perfection. I ordered the baked ziti and was so glad I did. I knew that if that marinara sauce was on the ziti I would be very happy! It was. The baked ziti was absolutely delicious. All in all, we were full and happy leaving the restaurant. It was a fantastic experience and we will be going back soon. I want to try the lobster ravioli next! 😋

We had a wonderful experience at Salerno Cucina Italiana in Cedar! The special chef’s menu on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, was absolutely delicious. Chef Kemal prepared an incredible Frutti di Mare, beautifully served on a pizza-base plate — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. We also enjoyed an amazing bruschetta and a delightful tiramisu to finish the meal. Chef Kemal’s attention to detail and warm, genuine service made the evening truly special. Thank you for a memorable dining experience — we can’t wait to return!

My family and I had dinner here for the first time, and I have to say I was very impressed! We were greeted with very cheerful faces. The waiter was very professional, very helpful with the menu and very personable. The dining room was very inviting with nice decor, good lighting, very comfortable seating and extremely clean. The pizza was just incredible. One of the best I've ever had. A nice lady came by to check on us afterwards to see how everything was, and I always love when they do that because it shows they care. I can't wait to come back and try some of the many options on their menu! It all looks pretty amazing....This will definitely be a regular spot going forward. So glad we came in to check them out. I highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Came here for dinner for the first time, and everything about the experience was excellent. Our server, Anya was very friendly and helpful. I had ordered lasagna, at her recommendation, and I was not disappointed at all. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely come back again!

We loved everything! From the iced tea, to the salad the basics were wonderful. The manager Haley was our server, and as we came in at 2pm on Saturday we had our choice of seating. I had the Tortellini Michelangelo and my fiance had the Carbonara Fettuccine with chicken. Both were amazing! We stayed for dessert too, and listening to servers speak, the staff is passionate and very very knowledgeable. Haley was delightful and very attentive. We cannot recommend this place enough! The menu also has alot of gluten free options! While there are not labels showing V or GF markers the staff definitely knows how to help make accommodations!

Great atmosphere and the food is delish. They let me customize their lemon picatta. added chicken, mushrooms, and prosciutto. Yummy Yumm. Update 5/7: It got late on us and too tired to cook. The family voted to go to Salerno's. Family friendly and owner and staff are always welcoming. My second time within 2 months and the food quality is still good and filling. Support Local Business!!

If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out! The eggplant parm was superb! The bread was freshly made and they give you great salad portions. Excellent service and atmosphere. You could actually hear the person you are eating with without loud background noise. Highly recommend! As you can see from the photos, I couldn’t wait to dig in!

This was our first time here and we really enjoyed it! The food was hot, fresh, and very flavorful. Our waitress Emily was personable and attentive. We met the owner and he was warm and genuine. You can tell that his heart is in the place. The overall atmosphere was welcoming. (One minor point of improvement would be to add some sound dampening panels to help the acoustics. But I think almost every restaurant could use that.) We will definitely be back to try some other dishes and the deserts. Thank you for a nice night out! 😃

Valentine’s Day dinner set was great! My fiancé gave me a surprise by booking this restaurant. I am glad we ordered their Valentine’s Day special. I could tell the restaurant and cook use their heart to prepare the meal. The dishes are so cute and delicious. I wish they could continue to have something similar (dinner special set) per month/per special theme/holiday. North Austin needs these.

It was our first time here. The service was top notch. Myself, my husband and three kiddos were treated so nice and they were so attentive. We had calamari and the mozzarella sticks to start. The batter was light and not greasy. I had lasagna which was delicious and flavorful. My daughter had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and my boys had the kids butter noodles with chicken added. My husband had the mushroom noodles with garlic butter sauce and added chicken. It was ALL good. The bread was soft and buttery. It's hard to please all 5 of us but this place checked all the boxes. Next time I want to try the pizza, it looks really good! Highly recommended!

First time at Salerno for lunch and was very impressed! I went with my family of 10 and everyone tried something different and really liked it. I had the margherita pizza and it was perfect, very similar to ones I've had in Europe with fresh ingredients and woodfire cooked. The service was friendly and family oriented, it was a very nice meal!

Nice Italian style food and pizza. It was a Saturday night and not too busy. Lots of choices, we had the vegetable pizza then added chicken and fried ravioli. Food was good, service was ok. Staff seemed a little stressed, they may have been a little short. Friendly and courteous. Atmosphere could be dressed up a bit. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Heads up to those ordering takeout-- call it in, the restaurant doesn't receive the to go orders put in online! (Tech issue) First time ordering- went to pick up and wasn't ready due to above mentioned issue. Young lady at front assured me it would be done quickly (it was), minestrone soup was good, could use more broth but lots of yummy vegs! Spaghetti marinara was good (portions are huge- even for kids' meal). Highlight of the experience? The two lovely young ladies working there! It was just us three (and the kitchen line) in the place and they were as sweet as can be! No mean girls vibes-- sincere and very helpful! I didn't catch their names but this was 12/08/25 @5-ish. Helped me get my order since it wasn't ready for pick up as expected and were super pleasant to talk to. I'd definitely go back!

The cost per flavor is not within my range. $100 for a family of four, with relatively small, simple dishes. And the carbonation was out on the fountain drinks, yet we were charged $4 per glass. 👀 The fried ravioli is excellent as an appetizer. The wife enjoyed the ziti, and the chicken marsala was fairly decent. The kid's butter fettuccine was overcooked and had way too much butter. Service was wonderful. The place is quite lovely. But temper your expectations.

We have been going there for years. The service had been spectacular as well the food. Went 2 weeks ago and the service was mid par as well the food. I Never stop going to a place that has had a great experience as we've had in the past. Last night was the 2nd bad experience. Took my daughter and had raved on the experience and food. Ordered beer and wine, also ask for water. Came back 15 minutes later without the drinks. Ordered the meal. Had to ask 3 times for the drinks. Food came, but before the salad. Drinks came after salad. My meal came, next 5 minutes later my daughters. I had finished my meal before my wife got her's. I'll go back and hopefully delete this one and redo to a raving review.

We used to love this place. Unfortunately the quality of food and service has gone down. We won’t be returning. The pasta was way over cooked. The chicken piccata was terrible. No lemon flavor at all. My husband’s chicken parm was mediocre at best. The service was disappointing as well. They were really kind, but they seemed stressed and anxious due to being under staffed and it made for an unpleasant dining experience.

Service - great. Food - mediocre. I ordered Chicken Verona - "Chicken with fresh garlic, mushrooms, sweet red peppers, capers and artichokes with white wine lemon sauce over spaghetti pasta." What I got looked and tasted like an enhanced Campbell's chicken noodle soup. Pre-cut bits of chicken floating in a broth. Nothing like I expected - which was a chicken breast fillet with a thick flavorful sauce, enhanced with artichoke, pepper, and capers. If I wanted soup, I would have ordered soup.

Update - no we did not leave with any containers so why the need to lie? I have audio recorded after your server screamed leave the first time up until my husband - (also a Ph.D if that even matters) left. Folks can look at both photos and see both are the exact same pasta...not linguine + spaghetti. Next time offer to make another pasta/entree in place of your awful 'too bad so sad attitude.' Folks be aware. My first negative review well earned here! We have been coming here for almost 5 yrs according to Google. Per other reviews-original owners apparently sold in 2024. It all makes sense now. Close to 20 reviews of 1-2 stars in the past 4-5 mo? It's just not the same + neither is the pasta Super long wait for water, a glass of wine and the salad. Then they had to bake bread. Next no croutons - so the Caesar salad was basically a handful of wilted old lettuce and a little Parm. We thought -Ok things happen. Then no Daou Cabernet. Ok np had a suggested red blend instead. Again we are fairly easy going diners and don't get ruffled easily. I got chicken Parm which came atop "spaghetti" Chicken Parm-barely luke warm+ overcooked pasta. But ok. My husband ordered linguine with marinara and grilled chicken. It came with what was the exact same pasta as my dish. We immediately told the manager who delivered the dishes he ordered linguine. She agreed, apologized- said it was spaghett-incorrect + took it to be corrected. Ok no issues...then she immediately comes back with the same dish saying the cook said it was linguine??!! We observed the two dishes and the pasta was identical and overcooked. See the photos. Now as I discussed with the mgr it's not linguine but my husband agreed he'd just eat it since the cook refused to correct the mistake -I then glance over at the cook and she gives me what can only be described as a smarmy laughing smirk as she shrugs?! So while I'm not proud of my response -which was to then simply flip her off as the mgr was standing at our table-there was zero call for that cook to do that. Zero. After 90 minutes hangry happens. The place had only 6-7 tables occupied including us. Not busy as they have been on our past visits. Now we see why- with the decline in food quality. After showing the cook my finger, I politely provided the mgr my credit card- simply asked to check us out...as she continues to apologize. I understood she wasn't the cook. Now the server comes charging over to interrupt. She starts shouting at me loudly that I need to leave. I'm then cursed at + told I'm "old" -by her so loud the entire restaurant (including a table with a child) heard her cursing at me-not insulted by old but the offense language near a child. She continues to scream "leave" again standing over me attempting to physically intimidate me. I asked my husband to finish checking out+ I walked out. The mgr said she recognized us as regulars+the cook is a good friend of the owner all while she continues to apologize. Now the cook walks over to participate in this 3 ring circus. Our evening was ruined. We still haven't eaten anything yet but bread. The cook continues to berate my husband telling him to "go to Randall's and buy linguine that was what was served.". My husband refused to continue to engage the circus and just stopped responding. Smh. At age 55 I *am* an older woman who can+ definitely will go elsewhere for "Italian" -where the establishment just corrects menu items made incorrectly or offers a substitute if something isn't available or acceptable. Folks just go elsewhere especially if you have children if this is how staff behaves. I certainly hope the owners provide the needed education to staff on how to properly correct an error+how to treat customers. I will end with the mgr did all she could with a cook who refused to fix or substitute the entree+comped the meal we didn't eat OR take home. I apologize to other customers who were forced to witness this spectacle tonight- especially the family with the young girl who had her back to us on the other side of the restaurant.

Waitress was sweet. But food was horrible. Seemed like boxed penne pasta in a bottled sauce. Mozzarella cheese stick were not fresh. The cheese inside was hard as a stick like it was cooked and left under a heat lamp. Coke was flat. Will keep looking for a decent Italian place in the area.

Underwhelming food quality and quantity. The lasagna portion was not only small, but half of it was stuck to the to-go container. The garlic knots were hard as rocks (probably yesterday's rolls). The salad portion filled less than half of the container. The pizza was okay, but the bottom crust was super soggy. Doubt we'll be back. One week later follow up: Although the owner asked me to send a personal email so he could apologize, he never even bothered to contact me. Definitely won't return.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and was honestly a little lost when I arrived — the layout made it unclear where to pick up orders. When I asked the staff for help, the response felt dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. The food itself was fine, but the experience didn’t match the level of service I’d expect from a place with such a nice atmosphere. The restaurant has a great aesthetic and seems to have potential, but better communication and friendliness from the staff would really elevate the overall experience.

This place was way too overpriced for what you get. It was pretty much $20 per plate and it was some of the worst Italian food we've ever had. The lettuce in the salad was dry and looked old, nobody ate it. The bread was burnt and had no flavor. The fettuccine Alfredo was bland, oily, noodles overcooked and was lacking sauce. The lasagna was also not good either, I've had better frozen lasagna from the grocery store. The portion sizes were also small, they seemed more like a kids plate. Our first red flag should've been when we called to place an order and they said it would be ready in 25-30 minutes and when we arrived they said they never received an order over the phone. We showed them my call log and the number we called and asked if that was the correct number to which they said yes. It's fine if someone forgot to put in the order but at least own up to it instead of saying no order was received over the phone especially when we had them on speaker phone and multiple people in our group heard the conversation and the order being placed. So then we had to wait even longer for disappointment. My mother-in-law spent over $100 for 4 people and a 2 year old for something we could've made better at home and for a lot less. Save your money and time!

Absolutely terrible experience. The food sucked, plain and simple. The worst part was the 45+ minute wait for our main dishes—and that’s with the restaurant being less than 1/3 full. We weren’t the only ones; at least three other tables were also complaining about the long wait. When the food finally it was burnt bread knots, forgotten ingredients, and dishes that didn’t match their own menu descriptions. For example, the Chicken Florentine is supposed to come with marinara sauce based on their own menu, but it looked and tasted exactly like fettuccine alfredo. On top of that, they forgot the mushrooms altogether and just brought me a side of them later, as if that made it better. My husband ordered Chicken Alfredo and got Alfredo with zero chicken! It honestly felt like they didn’t even know how to make their own dishes. What a mess. I even took my plate to go, but only as a reference because it wasn’t good enough to eat. I’ve also added a picture of my dish and one from another review (shrimp Florentine) for comparison so others can see the issue. Bottom line: Don’t waste your time or money here. Mediocre food at best—something you could make far better at home. IF THE OWNER REPLIES I WANT MY MONEY BACK
