Great place to debrief with the Supp team after a day on the road. Our go to is bowl of fries and a drink.

Absolutely love this place! The food and cocktails was great, portions are european size and it was just enough for the lunch. Service is also excellent. As it was lunchtime, the atmosphere was just perfect for that time of the day. I highly recommend.

If you like a viby italian feel! This hits the mark. It's 10pm here which means 5am UK time so I am ready for bed. But amazing atmosphere, great service. If you love your wine, great list. Tuna tartar I loved, veal I loved. Good night out

Harry Cipriani: A NYC Power Restaurant That Lives Up To Its Reputation What a location, what a history, what a decor and ambience, what service, and what delicious food. This is a restaurant where you get what you pay for. The restaurant is overseen by Sergio who is ensconced in NYC restaurant lore and knows most of his clientele by name. His lieutenants - Fabrizio, Jordy, and Frantz - live up to his high standards and expectations. The classically Italian elegant decor and ambience gives the restaurant a timeless quality which makes one grateful for the fact that it has not changed for so many years. There are so many outstanding waiters that I hope they will forgive me for not naming each one individually. The food is delicious due both to the freshness and quality of its ingredients, as well as the just necessary simplicity of its compositions. My go to favorites, of which there are quite a few, are the very fresh asparagus to start with, followed by the calves liver sauteed with onions or the veal piccata, and climaxing with the very best lemon meringue tart I have ever had - worth running or strolling around the Central Park Reservoir after dinner if necessary to shed the extra calories. For people watchers, keep scanning unobtrusively and nonchalantly, as you never know who you might spot there. I am sure there is a method to who sits where, but it is difficult to decode as there are so many good seats due to its many nooks and crannies. All in all, a what you want from an authentic, memorable, and special New York City experience. It is worth the wait if you did not have the foresight to make a reservation in advance. Or, to paraphrase a line from the remake of the original Thomas Crown Affair movie - you know you have made it in NYC if you can be seated without a reservation on an always busy Friday night.

Harry Cipriani is a MUST EAT when visiting New York City or when you have a low key business meeting. I personally prefer eating lunch here. The location is fantastically convenient, and OMG everything I have ordered over the years has been cooked to perfection. My personal favorite plate, when available, is the white truffle over angel hair, I honestly can say it is to die for..... Table service is exceptional.

It was a lovely evening with extremely attentive staffers, paying attention and being very polite and friendly. It’s my decision now to go to Cipriani on every trip to the “Big Apple”.

Everything is always great when I step foot inside this place. It’s not difficult to get a reservation, we usually make one 30 minutes- an hour before depending on the time. It never disappoints, the menu is the same as all the other cipriani locations I’ve been to. The burrata, cucumber salad, veal Milanese, tiramisu, their signature cake. Everything I’ve had here is always the best. I come here everytime I’m in New York, once I ordered an eggplant parm and they accidentally burnt it so they just cancelled it instead of making us wait longer or bringing us a burnt eggplant parm, I respect places like this a lot.

Very attentive wait staff. My son was in shorts and their dress code doesn't allow however they provided slacks for him. A little on the pricey side however those were the best French toast I ever had.

We were looking for something upscale to celebrate my wife’s birthday after a wonderful Moulin Rouge Broadway show. The staff were very attentive and so was the management, not to mention the authentic Italian food which was very tasty and warming. Personally, I have been to every restaurant of every class in the city... My experience here has clearly showed me how prestigious the Cipriani brand is, especially in the delivery of their hospitality and excellence in how they treated our party.

I’ve been here a number of times for lunch and the best time to experience Harry’s is around 1pm. Sergio always greets us with a warm smile and a handshake. The staff has been there for a number of years and are experts at their craft. The veal ragu is my husband’s favorite and I adore ALL of their desserts. Lunch can be enjoyed over a couple of hours and the people watching is 10/10. This restaurant is lively and busy so make a reservation!

I always feel so special eating here. It can turn any afternoon or evening into a celebration. The staff is very friendly and the food is simple yet delicious. I enjoyed the classic prosciutto and melon done elegantly, the cold asparagus was the best I've ever had, creamy and flavorful Burratta topped with olives and tomatoes. Delicate homemade pasta served with an umami bomb of Bolognese. And to finish a massive bowl of homemade ice cream that was so soft and airy and creamy we are still dreaming about it. Eat here if you enjoy delicious food and five star service.

What a place. So authentic and was fun to watch people around me. The food was somehow different than we had for Italian. How should I describe it? Hm. You should try. The Sea Bass and the Spaghetti we ordered were fabulous. The Calamari can be better in other places. Fabulous service!!

Here once again, the pasta was spec but the bolgnesa could be more salty, the pie great, and of course the attention 💯✨ with Ricardo best maitre in town (Peruvian had to be).

Harry Cipriani is an upscale Italian restaurant on 5th avenue. The experience we had was superb from start to finish. The manager was friendly and seemed to have a great existing relationship with many customers. Some people said that the service was chaotic with different waiters and that their was discrepancies in how much attention you got. While we had multiple servers, for the most part they were all friendly and attentive. The Bellini and Fritto Misto were excellent. We then got a ravioli and penne pasta which were some of the best pastas we’ve ever had (especially the ravioli). We would definitely come back for another nice date night and want to try the desserts next time.

I went during my trip to nyc without a reservation for a dessert real quick and the staff was super nice and comprehensive with us . Even if we are not locals and English is not our first language their were super polite and courteous . I’ll definitely come back when I’ll come to New York again .

Iconic in all ways. I sat at their petite bar and had a perfect Negroni up, along with an incredible hamburger. Elegant solitude. Good for the soul!

We loved the atmosphere of this classic Italian restaurant with the bustling servers in sharp white jackets and small tables cluttered together throughout the space. Classic NYC! Our favorite dishes ere the thinly sliced veal appetizer with tuna spread & capers AND the Chiliean Sea Bass, which was a generous portion and cooked perfectly. We will be back on our next trip. Pro tip: Use the restroom before seating, as it is quite a journey to find them from the restaurant and there is only a single stall for both genders (one separated room for each).

This is now my second time dining at Cipriani's, and I had another wonderful lunch experience. This restaurant is located within the Sherry Netherland on 5th Avenue. The food and service were both outstanding. They served up the most unique chicken club sandwich ever. It was delicious. We will definitely continue coming back!

Harry’s Cipriani is timeless New York elegance at its finest. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported into a world of old-school glamour, impeccable service, and effortlessly refined Italian cuisine. The room itself is stunning — crisp white linens, polished wood, and an energy that feels both sophisticated and warm. It’s the kind of place where power lunches, celebratory dinners, and long, memorable evenings all feel perfectly at home. The food is consistently excellent. The classics are where Harry’s truly shines: the carpaccio is delicate and perfectly seasoned, the baked tagliolini with ham is rich and comforting, and the Bellini — their signature — is as iconic as ever. Every dish is prepared with precision, simplicity, and respect for tradition, allowing the quality of the ingredients to speak for itself. Service is polished, professional, and quietly attentive. The staff moves with confidence and grace, anticipating needs without ever being intrusive. It’s the kind of hospitality that feels increasingly rare and incredibly refreshing. Harry’s Cipriani isn’t about trends or flash — it’s about consistency, elegance, and doing things the right way, every time. Whether for a business lunch, special occasion, or classic New York night out, it delivers an experience that feels both luxurious and familiar. A true New York institution that never disappoints.

Wonderful holiday lunch- One of those rare experiences where everything feels special. The food was delicious and what made it even better was the service by William, which was impeccable. He was attentive, warm and gracious. He made me feel welcomed and very well taken care of from start to finish. It is an elegant atmosphere and timeless cuisine. I will absolutely return as Harry Cipriani remains a New York classic which I highly recommend.

On our arrival, the place was quite busy, felt almost chaotic as the maître d’ checked us in and at the same time barking his orders at his waiters to make sure service was moving. Our coats were checked and everything calmed down once we were seated. George our waiter was engaging, helpful with the menu, and patient with our slow pace. Food recommends by George were great, tuna tartare was excellent to start with, highly recommend the lemon veal piccata, excellent. The pasta dishes were excellent also. Service did slow down after our mains were served as our waiter may have left for the evening, and the waiter who stepped in to help did not check on us to see how are meals were, hence the 4 stars on service. Overall my family enjoyed the restaurant’s ambiance, food and service and we would definitely revisit again on our return to NYC.

THE BEST SERVICE EVER!!! I was walking by Central Park and randomly decided to walk in just to check it off the bucket list. From the beginning the man who opened the door for me was so respectful. The staff were all so friendly, shook my hand and even conversated with me. The manager Miriam and my waiter Fernando were both so lovely. As scary as a bunch of high end restaurants are, Cipriani’s wasn’t at all! I will be coming back here ❤️ I was just a random table for 1 but they made me feel like royalty :)

We had the most incredible experience at Cipriani today, thanks in large part to our outstanding server, Ricardo. From the moment we sat down, Ricardo made us feel so welcomed and cared for — his warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were truly top-tier. My family and I were celebrating a special day, and Ricardo went above and beyond to make it feel memorable. He was attentive without being intrusive, made fantastic menu recommendations, and ensured that everything came out perfectly timed and beautifully presented. His genuine kindness and charm added such a personal touch to our meal — we honestly couldn't have asked for better service. Thank you, Ricardo, for making our day so enjoyable. Cipriani is lucky to have you, and we’ll absolutely be back soon — hopefully to be seated in your section again!

Harry Cipriani delivers a near-perfect experience, but there’s room for improvement at the front of house. 4 stars for the front-of-house staff—while polite, they could be more attentive and efficient when seating guests with reservations. 5 stars for the service—our waiter was experienced, professional, and clearly knew the menu inside and out, which made for a smooth dining experience. 5 stars for the food—consistently high-quality and exactly what you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber. 5 stars for the atmosphere—classic NYC vibes with a touch of old-world elegance, perfect for those who appreciate a timeless setting. Overall, Harry Cipriani is a solid choice for great food and an iconic New York dining experience, though a bit more attention at the door would make it 5 stars all around.

Couldn’t eat here because they have a dress code. My husband was wearing shorts. Just a caution to anyone planning to eat here. Other than that I hear the food is great. An advisor at Louis Vuitton recommended it for lunch. 2 blocks from LV store and across the street from Central Park entrance and the famous plaza hotel

A classic Cipriani in midtown. Food consistent across all Cipriani restaurants. Can't go wrong here, and as expensive NY restaurants have become, here you get at least your money's worth in quality food.

What is not to love about Harry Cipriani at the Sherry-Netherland! Dinner there last night was a wonderful experience. The service is so warm and hospitable - such a lost art. Servers who are great hosts and truly want to make people happy. The food was spectacular - from the signature Cipriani roll all the way to the Crepe a la Creme. The White Bean Soup and Tuna Tartare to start were both amazing and the Baked Tagliolini with Ham and Baked Chicken with Roasted Peppers were both fantastic! Everything was executed perfectly and the room is absolutely beautiful making the night just perfect.

I like this restaurant because it has the most delicious lemon pie in the world but the food here is not tasty enough for me and yet I think it is a good restaurant that is nice to be in

R
Racemell Pabillore

Let me start with good points: Sergio is very accommodating Most of them are very welcoming Food is good but I think I got better food somewhere half the price Points for improvement: Disorganized waiters - different waiters every now and then serving. Wish they have younger waiters. They take your appetizers right away not asking if you’re still working on it. I was just about to finish what’s on my plate but he just took it without asking me. No restroom in the restaurant- you have to use the restroom in the other building. So you take walk to the coat check area and use the exit door to go to the other building and go down the stairs to use the restroom. It’s just very inconvenient for the costumers specially for pregnant and elderly people to use a very far restroom. And the men standing on that building are all grumpy every time someone has to use the restroom. My friend ordered the veal and it came with a big bone 🍖. It looked like they just dumped it on the plate. Not appealing at all.

There are many Cipriani restaurant in NYC. and this is one of the more famous under a hotel. Also close to the fmaous Harry's Bar and this one called Harry Cipriani. Went for breakfast..hotel quality and standard food. All of 5 stars quality but no wow factor. No special plates and just standard American style breakfast.

Cipriani is a classic/rich Italian cuisine - each city you visit worldwide, you have to check if they have it so you visit. I love their food and vibes. You should reserve in advance to avoid any waiting. Cipriani is a renowned Italian restaurant chain that offers classic and opulent cuisine. It is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts and travelers alike. The restaurant’s ambiance and culinary offerings are exceptional, making it a popular choice for dining experiences. To ensure a seamless dining experience, it is advisable to make reservations in advance to avoid any potential wait times.

Walking in, I instantly felt like I’d stumbled upon an exclusive scene. Though there wasn't a dress code, I did feel slightly underdressed among a more mature, seemingly affluent crowd. According to a friend, it's a hotspot for celebrities, which makes sense given the vibe. The food, for the most part, was excellent. We ordered small bites, and each dish delivered on flavor, except for the Doge salad, which didn't quite do it for me. The steak tartare and burrata were delightful, but the risotto truly stole the show. Even though I didn't indulge much since we'd eaten a big meal earlier, everything looked tempting, and I’m eager to return for their pasta offerings. Of course, we couldn't pass on trying a Bellini, given its legendary origin here. My friends found it enjoyable, though not particularly standout. I opted for a Sweet Annie, which I quite liked. The overall atmosphere and service were top-notch. Despite the initial feeling of being underdressed, the evening turned out delightful. I’m definitely planning a return visit to dive into more of their entrees, especially those pasta dishes.

As I understand, this is a place more for the local elites for social, I heard that it’s hard to book, as i was invited, I don’t know if it’s true. The taste of the food was so hard to describe, I mean, not good. It’s hard to find this standard in Europe, the decoration was poor, the WC was miserable.

T
Tom B

We were very excited to be able to enjoy this restaurant but were very let down by the quality of the food. The service was fantastic and beyond excellent. The meat dishes were inedible and very disappointing. The pasta and fish dishes were very good to average. It was very crowded dining with little space, but this was our expectation since we had been to Harry's in Venice. So that was not a problem, nor was the price, as that was our expectation as well going in. However, we did expect a fine dining meal which fell measurably short.

V
Victoriya D

Table's too close to each other. Food is okay. Was expecting something more

F
Francesca Applegate

You would expect more from a restaurant of this level. We were forgotten on more than one occasion. some of the party didn’t get the drinks they ordered after asking about the absence of it. Wait staff were scattered all around like ants although not really doing anything . They never once communicated a long wait as we waited 1.5 hours from time of our reservation to the time we got our food. Tables around us were complaining about the service too Guessing that corner table is just forgotten and it’s not the first time according to the reviews.

E
E Ellner

EXTREMELY expensive! And for that price ($60+ entree, $35 desert, $24 glass of wine) I expect top top everything. We waited 70minutes for our food. (We got compensated for that with deserts on the house which is nice but I rather get my food in a reasonable time rather than have to eat cake to feel it was worth it! Half way through the wait they came to tell us that a few of the dishes we ordered were no longer available. The food: they bring the protein on a medium size plates and a small desert plate with the sides. I ordered salmon with vegetables. The salmon was perfectly cooked and delicious. The vegetables were tasteless steamed carrots and cauliflower. Literally nothing on them! My 90 year old grandmother would have loved that. The rest of the table had protein served slopped on the plate covered in sauces and gravies. They said it was very good but what 'high end' restaurant serves like that? The side of fries was frozen fast food fries. Unbelievable! How do places like this survive? It looked like diner food. Luckily we were with good company so we let it slide. Will never be back!

C

J

Underwhelming. This place is so tacky. The service is slow AFFF and they will discriminate based on age of customer. Food wasn’t tasty. Food was BLAND.

G
Greg Abruzzo

The atmosphere is wonderful. We had a large table since we were 7 but some of the other tables seem a little tight. What I loved was that it wasn’t that loud in the restaurant even thought it was packed. Our appetizers were delicious but entrees were not great two of us had the filet mignon and they were both over cooked. The staff was very accommodating and replaced one right away and chose to keep mine but pointed it out. . As you all should know it’s pricey.

K
Kevin Moore

Place was not that yummy. Service wasn’t anything outstanding. The burrata was blah felt cheap. Bathrooms are a disgrace. I’d say the restaurant is 15% over priced from what it needs to be. Location is fantastic I though.

c
christopher pitino

Excellent food and kind hospitality! A bit noisy too but fun and social. Made my wife's birthday very special :) The only complaint, a man (not our server) brings the check to our table without me even asking for it. We barely finished our coffee and dessert. Next time politely wait for the guest to ask for the check. Do not rush them. Remember you are Cipriani's not a diner....

M
Muneera Abdulmohsen

The appetizers were OK their carpaccio is so much better in other Cipriani‘s although the main course was extremely good and the desert was also amazing

L
LA P

The mushroom pasta was excellent, but the rest of our dishes fell flat. Service was on the slow side and the room felt quite stark—bright lights, no music, and not much atmosphere. I wouldn’t rush back or recommend it. The washrooms are located in the neighbouring hotel, which is a pretty long walk.

RM
RM

Harry Cipriani unfortunately did not meet expectations. The food was decent, but the experience felt far more pretentious than the Beverly Hills location I’ve dined at. The atmosphere had an almost luxury designer store vibe - polished and exclusive, but not at all welcoming. There’s also virtually no privacy; you’re seated barely a foot away from other diners, which makes the whole experience feel cramped and uncomfortable. The dishes themselves could’ve used more seasoning, especially for the price. Beware - an automatic 20% gratuity may or may not be added to your bill, even when your party doesn’t exceed 6 diners indicated on the menu (we only had two and it was added to our bill). Overall, it clearly caters to a very specific crowd, and the visit left me more disappointed than impressed.

Paris PN
Paris PN

the atmosphere could’ve been better, maybe it’s because of that the restaurant doesn’t have dim lights but i recommend downtown more. The food was ok, price quality ratio wasn’t worth it for me as it simply just tasted boring. The cake was nice but a tad bit too sweet. Service was good tho, the server could have been a bit nicer but it was an ok experience after all. Just a psa a 20% is included in ur final bill, u have no choice to change it.

D
Darryn Madson

I arrived for breakfast wearing expensive shorts but made to change into pants to eat eggs. The girl at the door was sweet and lovely. The older male waiters were all rude and seemed bored. I ordered Eggs Benedict. Probably the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Waiters sat down in empty room at the back talking. It never became busy. Don’t eat here for breakfast. It’s tired and absolutely not worth the money.

The entire evening was hilarious. First, we were seated so close to a couple that we had to move two tables each time one of our group of four to get up. Uncomfortably close, not UK close. We were rushed through appetizers that were only warm. We ordered eggplant that was soggy and bitter;we ordered wagu that instead came out as ragu. While we waited for them to cook the steak, we munched on the ragu that was really good. We also ordered severely undercooked risotto. Cracked a crown. I don't recommend this for anyone with or without teeth. Finally, the wagu the guys ordered came out! What a shock ~it was served cut up in little pieces like a grown-up for a child. So very disappointing for such an expsive cut. We enjoyed the location in Venice, but the NYC place we'll never step into again. It's just an expensive joke on us!

Atmosphere was great, service was good, but the food was nothing special - nothing special. My husband and I were disappointed with the food. When you go to an upscale restaurant, you expect good food, if not great. Very overrated- the ambience was great but the food frankly sucked. The clientele were the type of people that just want to measure you up. A lot of want-to-be Trumps but lack class - just like to size others and snub.

I’ve enjoyed coming to Harry Cipriani regularly since moving to the neighborhood, it became a go-to spot for me and my fiancée. But last night we were turned away at the door, despite having a reservation, because I was wearing shorts. I was surprised and disappointed, especially because there was no mention of a dress code anywhere on the reservation page, confirmation email, or restaurant signage. We left feeling unwelcome at what we had considered our neighborhood favorite.

Small, cramped. Rude waitstaff. Gross food. Not plated well and actually not good at all. Please save yourself the time and money.

Just a heads up - we were double charged for all of our alcohol, so make sure you check your bills. When we pointed this out to the manager, they offered free dessert to make up for it 🤦‍♀️. It’s a very bad look for such a well-established restaurant and I won’t go back. It feels very much like a scam - like they’re counting on people not checking their checks.

By far the worst experience I have ever had dining in NYC. $1000 bought me sub-par food and drinks, absolutely horrible service, poor presentation, and seating literally in front of a side door that the staff encouraged customers to use. Even the manager could use a refresher class in etiquette. Started off with a large basket of stale bread with sliced butter jammed in a cup that led to appetizers that any local pizzeria would run circles around. I don’t mind paying for quality - at Harry Cipriani I paid top dollar for, at best, 2-star food and grumpy wait staff (a lot of them) that all looked like they hate their job, hate their customers and could care less about the company they work for. I am a NYer. I dine in the finest restaurants, and I love a great experience. Save your time and money and avoid Harry Cipriani. Hopefully things will change there but I will never know. One and done.

this branch in UES is not fine dining at all. Super run down and old, the plates are old. This is just a brand name and food was absolutely bland and ill presented Like i was at any american diner The cake??? Lool 99% cream and a spit of sponge in it. Paid $150 for the most subpar 2 pasta dishes and the cake. Nope. There are better ciprianis around the world with rhe vibe This is mid-level restaurant.

Very disappointed!😔 not even close to the experience that we had at Cipriani in Lisbon. Food - very poor quality, not worth the price we paid, tasted pretty bland. Service was veeery far from good. The only person who was kind and caring - lady who is woking at the wardrobe.

I had high expectations for Harry Cipriani, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The atmosphere was quite unpleasant due to the extreme noise level. I understand that the restaurant was very busy, and that in itself isn’t an issue. However, the waiters were constantly communicating with each other in very loud voices. In particular, the staff standing directly behind me were speaking so loudly that it made it genuinely difficult to have a normal conversation at the table. It seriously affected the overall dining experience. As for the food, while the flavor itself was acceptable, the quality did not justify the price. I ordered ravioli that were supposed to be filled with ricotta and vegetables. Honestly, the ravioli were extremely thin, almost as if they had no filling at all. There were just a few traces of greens, and the ricotta was completely absent. Paying for a plate of ten ravioli with virtually no filling felt excessively overpriced and unjustified. Overall, between the uncomfortable noise level and the poor value for money, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Worst prosciutto I’ve ever had in my life. It was oxidized, warm, and like it’s been sitting out all day.

Our party of six in the City for a very beautiful occasion in November of 2024, was subjected to a horrible dining experience at Cipriani on 5th Avenue. After contacting the restaurant way ahead to make sure we would secure a good table we ended up by the entrance and with a continous flow of people practically rubbing against my back. The service was awful, waiters had not been taught how to take care of customers, expensive drinks were small and mediocre. They even managed to serve bad food! I was embarrassed to have suggested to our company such a place! Needless to say a lot of effort was put on our very expensive bill. Never again!

Yikes this place… wow… no thanks. Good place to waste a few hours but food tasted like it could be served on an airplane and drinks were underwhelming as well

If you’re hungry for a good meal at a great price well, this isn’t the place for you. After being seated, my friend myself, and our two kids were greeted quickly by one of our many servers. He then asked if we would like flat water or sparkling water, where I replied flat. we checked out the menu where the prices were almost doubled, then what showed online. hearing that the Bellini’s were amazing three out of the four of us ordered them. At $25 a pop they should be delicious, And live up to the hype, Instead, tasting like washed out cheap champagne. I asked the server if they had a small individual salad, where he said they can accommodate me. when it arrived, it was a small handful of frisé nothing , With a terrible balsamic dressing. The portions were small, And the chicken club was a joke. we then ordered piece of the not so fabulous vanilla meringue cake, which was a total disappointment. after taking a half mile hike to the bathroom, I came back to the table where the check was placed. The check was $400 for lunch. I don’t care who you are, but paying $400 for lunch is a disgrace. My salad, which the server said he could accommodate was $25 for a bowl of nothing. Cake slice was $25, again disgraceful the flat water that I thought was just given was $12. No explanation that there was an up charge for water, warm with no ice. This place is a tourist trap, a total rip off, and so not worth it. It is an absolute scam. I would never go back or recommend this establishment to anyone. Shame on them! The sad part is people will continue to go, and they’re laughing all the way to the bank at the customers expense!! Shame on you!!

Disappointing Experience at Harry Cipriani – I am writing to express my deep disappointment in the way my family and I were treated during our recent visit to Harry Cipriani. We were visiting New York City with my family from Miami and had planned a special evening for my 9-year-old nephews birthday. He had been looking forward for months to enjoying a piece of your famous vanilla merengue cake, something we had talked about and planned together as part of his birthday celebration. I made a reservation for 9:00 PM specifically for this purpose. However, when we arrived, we were told by the manager that we could not be seated if we were only ordering dessert and coffee. When I asked if this policy was stated anywhere during the reservation process or on your website, he admitted that it was not, yet still dismissed us in an unkind and abrupt manner. We were left with no option but to leave, and my nephew was understandably upset on what should have been a joyful and memorable night. The way the situation was handled felt both unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. I would have expected a more thoughtful and accommodating response, especially given the occasion and the fact that we had a reservation. I hope you take this feedback seriously, as our experience was not at all reflective of the high standards I believed your establishment to withhold.

I won't come here again in my life, it wasn't worse in my life!horror service, Prosciutto on the menu with melon, have you seen melon? I ordered a mix of grilled vegetables, they brought me a bowl of peppers and with such an attitude, like what you ask at all, chew what you gave. Then the peppers were removed and boiled broccoli were stuck in my face or I want it. I immediately started putting on my coat.

Overcharged on Father's Day - Be Careful I took my husband here for Father's Day expecting great service, but it was disappointing. Our waiter - a Latino man - ignored our table most of the time. When the bill came, it included two dishes we never ordered. I had to speak to the manager, who removed the charges and offered a free dessert, which I declined. After checking reviews, I saw this kind of overcharging has happened before. Beautiful location on 5th Ave & 59th, but watch your bill closely. The food was so so.

I came here to celebrate my 22nd birthday tonight, and unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of awful. From the moment we walked in through the coat check entrance, the vibe was off. The servers and even the manager greeted us with frowns and an air of disdain. One particular manager stood out for all the wrong reasons—he was incredibly rude. I was genuinely caught off guard, especially since we entered through a door that led directly to the dining area, with no clear check-in station. When I gave my name for our reservation, the manager barely acknowledged me and responded with an attitude that set the tone for the rest of the evening. Once we were seated at a tiny, awkward corner table, the discomfort continued. My dad tried to make a lighthearted joke to one of the waiters to ease the tension, and the response was bizarrely judgmental and awkward. It's one thing for the staff to be rude to me, but when they treat my parents with the same disrespect, that crosses the line. The service was incredibly disjointed, with no fewer than 10 different waiters coming to our table, none of them making an effort to make us feel welcome or valued. It wasn’t until my dad ordered a bottle of wine that we finally saw a smile from the staff. Meanwhile, that same condescending manager was chatting it up with every other table around us, but made no effort to acknowledge ours. The servers seemed bored and uninterested, and the overall atmosphere was stale and lacking energy. The ambiance felt flat, with no warmth or personality to make the experience feel special. As for the food, it was incredibly mediocre. Definitely not worth the prices they’re charging. At that point, I was already so uncomfortable and dissatisfied that I just wanted to leave before we even placed our order. I really wanted to enjoy this meal, but Harry Cipriani clearly has a long way to go when it comes to customer service. This place seems to be riding on its reputation, but there’s a serious need for improvement. As customers, we are the ones keeping businesses like this afloat, and it's disheartening to be treated with such indifference. I won’t be coming back

Note: Photo is of us looking happy and hopeful just when we were first seated. Spoiler alert: I couldn't believe how bad our experience was at this restaurant. My mom and I trekked 19 blocks down from The Met to a very early dinner here to find out what the fuss is about at this legacy restaurant. There were hardly any other diners there yet, but at every stage (seating, server, service, bill) we had to wait insane amounts of time. The staff seemed to walk around aimlessly, and they persistently ignored us. What were they doing?? We couldn't figure it out! The subpar drinks and food (by which I mean I could've done way better myself at home) were so outrageously priced, I expected the best Italian food I'd ever had. Look, I understand this is an expensive location (and the dining room is nice, but not gorgeous or anything), but you have to at least try to earn what you're charging. What we got was flavorless fare and being ignored. I left feeling insulted and not just a little po'd, like I'd been cheated to my face. Skip it until they respect their own namesake.

We came in expecting a relaxed "slow food" experience, but the wait felt excessive even by that standard. The dishes themselves were fine, but overall pretty mediocre--nothing memorable in terms of flavor or presentation. For the time and price, it didn't feel worth it. Probably wouldn't return.

Not worth the hype! Very disappointing experience. Being an avid traveler and trying many restaurants this is definitely not worth my time. I went here to celebrate an event with my fiancé and we almost left to go somewhere else after the first few mins. Even though we had a reservation we were forced to wait- and not even at the bar which only had 3 seats and was being used by people to eat their meal at… Once we got seated things only got worse… plastic chairs? Am I at a high end restaurant or an office party? When asked the manager to change our chairs- which lets me say 90% of the other tables had nice comfy wooden n leather chairs- the manager declined. We almost walked out- knowing we would be spending $300+ this is NOT how you treat your customers!! Cocktails were terrible- please call it juice there is no alcohol and it’s not worth $26. A plain salad is $32. And as for the pasta- the bolognese and veal ragu were so greasy! Very noise place, the only good thing I can say is the calamari and bread they served was not bad. Only reason we went is because it is a major name and wanted to try what the hype is about. Clearly they pay people to write reviews, all their customers are old customers and they do not care about building a new client base. We will not be going back there are better Italian restaurants who have friendlier and better staff, service and quality!

I’m a tourist in nyc and got here for my first night. Everything is so expensive and the food was mid. There were only 2 tables full and it was strange. I didn’t like it, and suggest writing calories on the menu as most of the restaurants don’t do here.

this place was a nightmare. i came here for my birthday and it was horrid. my best friend who was a POC was denied entry to the restaurant until i arrived but everyone else was let in to wait. i should’ve left right then but i gave this place a chance nonetheless. i was standing at the front watching servers walking around like they were lost and there was nobody at the door to greet us or direct us. we needed to ASK a server where to go and who to speak to. a manager asked us to wait in the lobby area and while we waited he came back a few minutes later and snapped at us to wait longer though we hadn’t even complained at all??? not only had i waited 45 minutes past my reservation time. they asked us to leave the lobby area and wait in a small hallway between the bar and dining area completely in the way of guests, employees AND coat check so “they wouldn’t forget about us” and give away our table. an employee decided to caress my back as he walked past and another employee even said that we were “so worried about the table and not about the food”. when we were finally seated we noticed all the tables were extremely close together and our table was in front of the EMERGENCY EXIT. we had to get up when we were seated so a disabled women could leave through said emergency exit which i completely did not mind, i just don’t understand why there was a table in front of a fire exit in the first place. i ordered the basil and pesto pappardelle and immediately sent it back, it was flavorless, i opted for what they call their “most famous dish” the baked tangiolini and it tasted like ramen with cheese melted over it, extremely disappointing. one of the servers found out it was my birthday and proceeded to ask me my age and make guesses, extremely rude. everything about this place was extremely underwhelming and embarrassing especially for the price. $350 bill and I can’t say anyone in my party enjoyed any part of their meal, this restaurant is absolutely NOT a fine dining experience. however our server did his absolute best to better my birthday experience he sung me happy birthday and introduced me to their famous meringue cake which was probably the only good part of the entire birthday experience.

Bellinie (tiny and not fresh peach juice $25 too expensive? Ravioli average swimming in butter $40 Calamari cooked in old oil $38 and served in salad plate. My spaghetti with Chilenian Bass $38 ( little pieces) was swimming in butter too, the dish was extremely expensive and came in a salad plate. The server charged 20% of tip without notice. I did changed the % from 20% to 15%. I thought was abusive that he forced the 20% without my concent, my table was 3 customers only. Very very disappointed, will never come back. It's 10pm and I'm still burping my food.

We had reservations on 1Jan. We arrived 10 minutes ahead of time. Maître d’ was horrible we end up standing for an additional 20 minutes. He showed us a table next to the kitchen door. When we asked for another table he became irritated. Food was fair at best service horrible as usual. We have gone5 time and this is the last time. Highly recommend you do go to this restaurant.

$350 for horrible food! We took two different veal dishes ,it was look like dog food. My veal was deep fried ,which waiter didn’t tell us about. We were expecting something as steak, and when we asked about he didn’t explain anything. On top of that I barely understood his speech. Beef tartar was very lazy ,not properly made . It was looked like burger meet,no onion,no greens,no egg on top ,simple raw beef with nothing . Will never back there again

Cipriani Harry’s Bar – review Surprised to secure a table with just four hours’ notice — it became clear why once we arrived. After being seated, we waited around 15 minutes before anyone took an order for water or drinks. Not the best first impression. The signature Bellini, however, was genuinely good — dare I say better than at Harry’s Bar in Venice. The food was decent but inelegant: portions large enough to feed an elephant, which rather misses the point of the brand. Service was permissive rather than attentive. The wine ordered with the main course was so-so. Empty Bellini glasses were left uncleared for far too long, peach residue drying theatrically at the bottom. The tablecloth, incidentally, arrived halfway through the meal — an odd oversight for a restaurant of this name. One virgin Bellini was off and was rightly removed from the bill. The bill itself, however, arrived with three drinks we had not ordered (adding around USD 75 to the total), plus a 20% tip already included. It was corrected after being sent back — as it should have been — but the aftertaste lingered. The highlight of the evening was, unexpectedly, the lady in the cloakroom: warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. A big name, but shoes not filled. A shame.

I came to this restaurant for my birthday dinner and was very disappointed by my experience. First, despite having a reservation we waited for 20 minutes for a table. There is no designated waiting space so we waited in the dining room standing right next to tables eating their meals. Once seated, we were treated extremely poorly by the waiter. No greeting or words were spoken to us - he stood there with his notepad and stared at us. I have honestly never been treated so rudely by a waiter before Funny because he seemed to be capable of social interactions at his larger/older tables. In the middle of dinner the waitstaff was visibly arguing in the middle of the restaurant. Seems they were fighting over the larger tables that were coming in and who would serve them. I've never seen anything like it. The food was tasty, but no birthday wishes or candle despite it being a milestone birthday. I was really disappointed and borderline offended by how we were treated. I will not be coming back here.
