Gabriel was fantastic. Was hospitable and completely accommodating. Made suggestions with our pairings. It's people like Gabriel who bring people back for that dining experience. If I could I'd give an additional 5 stars. Definitely coming back.
5 Stars – Heartwarming Service & Great BBQ! Lucille’s BBQ in Cerritos is always a favorite, but this visit truly stood out thanks to Edgar. My little boy was crying because he really wanted watermelon. Edgar saw what was going on and went completely out of his way to make my son happy—he brought out some watermelon just for him. That thoughtful gesture meant so much to us. The food was amazing as always, but Edgar’s kindness and exceptional service made our day. Thank you for making our experience so special. We’ll definitely be back—and asking for Edgar!
We ordered the 3 course feast for 2. The southern fried pickles are delicious they serve it with 2 different dipping sauces. We got mash potato as a side order, and I feel like it could have had a bit more seasoning ,it was a bit plain for me. The meats were soft. For dessert we got the old fashioned banana pudding and it was delicious I wish I had more! The biscuits were warm and they serve it with this churro cinnamon dipping sauce( not sure if thats what it was but to me it tasted like it) I kept asking for more 🤭. The strawberry symphony lemonade was amazing !!!!! Overall everything was extremely DELICIOUS !!!!
THE BRISKET SANDWHICH IS AMAZIIING I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE BROSKET SANFWHICH 💯 oh MY LORD every bite felt like heaven on earth
A really nice BBQ restaurant with a cool blues theme, including music and decorations. In addition to foods like steak and ribs, they also offer lower calorie meals like grilled salmon. Another nice touch to this place is they give you actual cloth napkins and a hot towel to clean your hands off with.
I ordered online I got here brisket meal, it was delicious. It was ready when I arrived and the waitress was very polite.
Went here for a quick bite and to my surprise every single item that I ordered off the menu was EXQUISITE! As a southerner, this place comes close to just about anything I’ve had from down south! Excellent food, excellent service! Would definitely recommend.
Mom and I had lunch, it's was great! We were seated right away, our drinks brought like in 5 min. We went to Cerritos location. My mom had not been there. She Loved it.
I came in for their lunch 3 meat 1 side special at Lucille’s BBQ and was genuinely impressed! The food was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The portion size was more than generous for a lunch special, and everything was served hot and fresh. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Great value and a great experience—I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Don't know why we ever stop going the food was immaculate the service was top tier the dining room was very clean customer service was with a smile just loved it
We had the barbecue bacon cheeseburger and tri tip sandwiches, they were delicious. Our server Genesis was very nice…
1ST TIME AND WAS AO SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE, MEAL AND PROMPTNESS. OUR SERVER WAS ZACK IN CERRITOS. HE WAS AMAZING, HELPFUL, FRIENDLY. HE DESERVES A RAISE. HE HAS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SO POLITE. THANK YOU ZACK. OUR EXPERIENCE WAS SO AMAZING WITH YOU AS OUR SERVER WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN.
Great service from Anthony! Friendly staff! The fries got cold pretty fast.
Ate at the Cerritos branch today 4/6/25 around 6 pm. Food is delicious as always. Wanted to bring attention to our waitress. I belive her name is Anna. She was the best waitress we had from all the times we have eaten here. She checked on us several times. Very friendly and attentative. Her service today is another reason you should eat here. They were busy but it never stopped her from doing an excellent job. Thank you Anna!
It's been a while since I've come to this Lucille's in a long time because of a bad experience, but I am happy to report that all has been rectified. As usual, regardless of location the ice tea is outstanding. The service was great and the waiter was generous with the biscuits. She offered more before we asked. I appreciate that! The food was delicious. We got the family meal for 4 and asked for an extra side. All the meats were juicy and tender. I also liked the addition of the Texas toast. The sides were delicious. We had mashed potatoes, bbq beans, and mac and cheese. I do miss some things from the old days and wish they would bring them back. They include the corn chowder, the tri tip quesadillas with chile poblano, and the peanut slaw. But overall, my recent experience has switched my loyalty back to this location of Lucille's. 😎
I will say this... until they get the dish right, DO NOT order the "Shrimp and Grits." It's a deep dish with a small portion of grits that get swallowed up by this look a like pink vodka sauce (not a roux or gravy) with the peppers and what not. The shrimp are a nice size and there are plenty, but Lucille's, ya'll really have to do your research when recreating certain food items. I returned it and was more happy with my 2 hot sausage links and side of fried okra.
I recently visited Lucille Smokehouse. they have the most delicious BBQ meat combo. The pulled pork was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the mashed potatoes were the perfect side dish. The entire meal was a true delight and I would highly recommend giving Lucille Smokehouse a try if you're a fan of BBQ. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very welcoming and the service was top-notch. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!
All of the employees that greeted us, the two female hostesses, the female server, were all warm and friendly. The service was excellent and the food, drinks and dessert were all so delicious. We ordered the 3 meat platter with two sides and a salad. We chose the barbecue chicken, tri tip and baby back ribs. The sides were garlic mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The cesar salad was delicious too. But the hot apple cobbler topped with vanilla ice cream was so good. The apple Cinnamon biscuits with apple butter were delicious too!
Food was 5+ stars. Service due to "short staffed" 2 stars. Wont prevent me from going back. Ribs perfect, burnt brisket ends excellent, beer can chicken super moist and great smokey flavor. Sides: Mac and cheese really good, garlic Mashed potatoes hot and lots of flavor. Even the Cole slaw was great. Of course the biscuits and apple butter are yummy.
Food was delicious portions were large southern cooking all the way ... the wait staff was outstandingly the best part of the experience (Micheal) they also carry yummy desserts the building and atmosphere very clean and organized the smell of homemade BBQ carries in the air the biscuits are a must at the end we were offered clean hot/wet towels for our hands very thoughtful gesture
Great Location! The waiters are everywhere and things come out quick! Really nice tables and seats! I got the half pound of tri tip with cole slaw and fries for like $30. My wife got a nice little mixed fruity drink that was refreshing and loaded lol :p Will definitely come back!
First time at the Cerritos location. If you can, it is much better to have a reservation. Saves waiting for empty seats and be able to enjoy your meal. Overall, the food was very delicious.
The food is like no other place we had a family order it came with ribs, pork belly 2 types of sausage, brisket, chicken sweet pickles, some purple anions and bread as you see in one of mi pictures it also came with macaroni and cheese and coleslaw I order a corn 🌽 you got to try it it’s just perfect the atmosphere in this place is just perfect for a game night specially when you watched your favorite play go Chicago BEARS 🥰
Tbh you just can’t beat the happy hour. Great food deals in the bar area. Nice servers. Clean. As far as chains, this spot is a go-to for me.
I ordered take out. The food was ready to go when I arrived. Pick up was quick and efficient with plates, utensils, and extra BBQ sauce offered. The food tasted great at home and sat well in containers for a few days after. We ordered the family for 4 meal and it was more than enough food for all of us.
Went for a family dinner and had a great time. Isaac was an amazing server with a lovely personality and gave lots of nice suggestions! The food was yummy and the chocolate cinnamon beignets were delicious!
I am writing this review as a mom. I enjoyed this Lucille's location better than some of the others because I was on a date with my Son and it was a great setting for that. I got the Po Boy sandwich and it was delicious. I loved the shrimp breading and the large breaded pickle was great! My son had the ribs and they were falling off the bone tender. I recommend you try it for sure.
Stopped in toward the tail end of happy hour. It was a Friday evening and it started to get busy around 6:45pm. Great happy hour prices for cocktails and appetizers. I really like their House Margaritas. The staff is friendly and outgoing. Our server was Gabriel. He was very attentive and took time to converse with us several times. Nice atmosphere. Parking lot gets crowded in the evenings and weekends because it's surrounded by a popular plaza with a wide variety of eateries. We always find parking closer to the Amazon Fresh.
My first time here at this restaurant and I really liked the food here. In the afternoon the wait is long because it fills up quickly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, they had many decorations from the old days. My meal was ribs with Barbe Q sauce, which was a little spicy. But the meat tasted great, and there were quite a few things on my plate. With a strawberry lemonade. Everything was delicious and worth coming.
Some dishes were 5 stars and some were 3 stars. My older brother loved his ribs, beans, veggies. His wife finished her pasta so it was good. My husband had chicken fried steak, and he also enjoyed it. My pulled chicken nachos were ok, probably will not get again as the chicken was dry. Advertised as BBQ pulled chicken, but not covered in any sauce. The chips, cheese, black beans, and everything else was delicious. I did add a BBQ sauce, but adding sauce to dry chicken doesn't hydrate the chicken. We sat in the bar area, wasn't busy, we did order and got our drinks in good time. A refill took longer, more bread took longer, a to go refill we got when we were literally walking out. I understand the bartender was the only bartender and server but the area was like 10% full. Saw him chatting & laughing with the 3 customers sitting at the bar. He was friendly when he was tending to us, but we felt ignored most of the time. And why do they ask when making a reservation online if you're celebrating something, if absolutely nothing is offered? It was the actual bday of my brother and nothing. Not even a plate of whipped cream, my brother had no room for dessert, so he passed on ordering a sweet.
I had lunch here as a $10 special emailed to me for 2 pie es of chicken, potato salad, pumpkin mousse, and a lemonade. I could choose soda or a tea drink as substitute. The chicken was overcooked and spicy seasoned. I had to drench in in BBQ sauce to help get it down. The chicken also had a slight smokey taste.
LOVED IT!! How have I not known about Lucilles before? Well, I know know this place is awesome. Decoration on the inside of the restaurant makes you feel invited along with the aroma of bbq. I did not make reservations and had to wait (with a party of 7) for about 35 minutes. So I recommend getting reservations if you can. Our server was a nice young lady who checked on us several times and refilled our drinks. The food is outstanding. We ordered the family tray full of meats and 3 large side dishes, 2 full bbq chicken, 2 racks of ribs and one other choice of meat....our group wanted sausages too so we ordered 4 sausages as sides for $4 each, the sausages are good but were super spicy, im not sure if they had a not so spicy choice, I wish the waitress would have mentioned they were hot when ordering. The family bbq meal tray was around $130, we ended up taking a lot home because it really was a lot of food. If you like the 3 different kinds of bbq sauces then you can purchase some on your way out. Enjoy.

We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary with dinner at Lucille's in Landmark Square, Cerritos. My wife and I both enjoy good barbecue, and Lucille's didn’t disappoint. Our waiter, Able, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome and taken care of. I had a minor issue with the tri-tip I ordered, but Able handled it quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated. It made for an overall great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back for another meal.
Better experience this time. We tried the Long Beach location in the Town Center and it wasn’t good. Came here and told the waitress my beef ribs were burnt last time (which I get some people like that) and asked for done but not burned. My beef ribs were great and juicy but a whole lot of fat! I got some meat and I know that fat makes it juicy and I got full on 4 ribs and even gave some to my daughter who wasn’t happy with her pasta. I told her you order pasta at an Italian restaurant not a BBQ restaurant.🤦♀️ Husband liked his pork ribs I guess since he didn’t complain. This location has a better bathroom but still dirty and musky. Definitely needs a good scrub and better air circulation in the bathroom. This location felt cooler in the dining room than the Long Beach location even with being close to the smoker. Lastly Sweet Tea was not sweet at all. I actually thought it was unsweetened. Also I ordered a watermelon tea but with sweet tea instead of unsweetened or mixed and o didn’t taste any watermelon. I even asked if it was a watermelon tea and she said it was supposed to be and gave me another one and it was the same. Service a little slow and didn’t ask if we wanted dessert just check straight away. I felt like we were being rushed out and I wanted to sit a little and drink my tea and let my food digest. When we walked I saw why we were being rushed as there was a small crowd waiting to be seated.
This meal was about 30 bucks and it was on sale… this place was extremely expensive but it’s extremely good. They really do make good barbecue here, the atmosphere really feels like homemade, and the staff is probably the most chill cool staff I’ve ever seen. They always have really great service and are so friendly. Overall, although it’s expensive, it’s definitely worth it.
Went there for Thanksgiving lunch and thankfully they’d made reservations as it was very busy We only had to wait 4 minutes past our reservation time which was great, the employees were all sweet and friendly who greeted us and the server was over the top fantastic The reason why 4 stars is that the lunch offering for Thanksgiving was not really as good as it should have been for the price or for a place such as Lucille’s
Service was good the place was mostly empty. BBQ was good, sides as well. We got desert to take home. The Banana pudding has NO BANANAS or nilla cookies, its got dry crumbs inside instead ~ I give it a -1, yuck!
I was going to give this spot a 3 star but since their service was exceptional I gave them a 4 star. I recommend making a reservation on their site so you won't have to wait long. Waited like 10min tops which is not bad judging from the crowd outside. So the meats were good but some looked a little off and dry. The brisket was dry af. Not sure if you can get the best batch in the mornings but we went in the afternoon and some cuts seemed super dry. But everything else was good. Those cracked out deviled eggs were the best.
The wait wasn't that bad, plus it sad seeing it empty. But nothing beats the biscuit and apple butter. I tried the new spicy honey glazed salmon with rice and brussel sprouts with bacon. The spice creep up on you but it not hot. If not a fan of spice don't get it. Country fried chicken with mash potato and country gravy with street corn. Best in both world but the corn is extra if you don't want veggies. The host very sweet and made sure we are good and happy.
Ribs and biscuits were very good as was the gumbo. Afternoon service in the bar area was a bit slow but otherwise ok.
Came here after a long travel day to celebrate my cousin's sweet 16th birthday. I rarely visit supply chain restaurants, so I haven't been to a Lucille's in years. Parking: This restaurant is located in a busy plaza. There's a large parking lot, but finding a spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large indoor dining area. Great for large groups. Service: We didn’t catch her name, but our server was nice, quick, & efficient. Our drinks were constantly filled, and she checked on us multiple times. Food & drinks: We ordered the $350 Family Supper Feast. The feast included appetizers, mash potatoes, mac n cheese, and bbq meats. We definitely underestimated the feast because even our family of 15 couldn’t even finish it. The food is heavy, of course. The Caesar salad tasted as expected. The fries were fried well. The mash potatoes were delicious, and the mac n cheese were creamy. The meats were smoky and seasoned well. Pricing: Prices are what you’d expect from a supply chain restaurant.
After a failed attempt for a birthday dinner at Johnny Carino's, we decided to try this Lucille's location. Our Server, Genesis, was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had the best experience, despite our earlier frustration with another establishment. Our Food came out hot and fresh, and the pricing is reasonable. We had a great time and enjoyed the dedicated service. Will come back again!
I recently visited this place- like a family restaurant with a large group of over 10 people. I was pleased to see they offer menu options perfect for sharing with a crowd. We ordered two sets of the “Lucille’s Tour of BBQ” along with mashed potatoes on the side. The bread served before the meal was delicious, and the high-energy staff really elevated the fun atmosphere. One of the best parts is the convenient parking lot—it’s spacious, and since the restaurant is located inside a mall, it felt very safe.

This location is good because there is plenty of parking. The restaurant is decorated nicely and is open and spacious. The food was just ok. I had the southern chicken. (about $21) It was a heavily breaded piece of chicken, but it didn't have that much flavor. It is served with mashed potatoes and vegetables which were just average. Overall, nothing noteworthy. I couldn't say that I would recommend this location as I left with it being pretty unmemorable.
Waited about 2 hrs on a Saturday Evening just to be split up into 2 tables because they cant sit more than 6 to a table ( and that includes toddlers & babies) Everyone says this place is amazing but quite frankly not the best. Personally the biscuits & meats were dry with very little sauce, the sides were bland ( great for kids) and served borderline room temp. I was however very pleased with the hospitality & overall service from the host, waiters & servers. I would recommend getting the chicken which was very juicy & the non-spicey sausages (spicey ones are ridiculously hot) and the peach lemonade which is not too sweet. Also order a side of spicey bbq which went great on almost everything. If you must try bbq ribs, id recommend the pork short ribs & a side of coleslaw.
Food... everything seems to be covered in sugar. Not the best BBQ I've had. Service was the worst. Not the best place to celebrate a loved one bday because their servers are just way to busy and we went on a week night.
Ok now I'll say this the meats were good the sides were ok but that Gumbo... It tasted like watery dressing the sausage was like leather the shrimp like rubber an the chicken breast pieces were big an dry stuck to your teeth when you chewed it. Pieces of bay leaf all throughout the gumbo that you have to take them out your mouth just overwhelming... Bits of hard little pieces that you can't chew.. It was very very bad I hope they read this somebody owe me a refund!!😵👊🏾🤢We stood an waited almost thirty minutes just to order takeout while workers just stood there..... I don't recommend the gumbo!!!!!!
The decor to this place is really nice, seemed like the benches were recently painted because it had caution tape around them. The wait was not very long so that was cool. The servers are very personable , attractive and attentive to your needs. They have thorough knowledge of the menu and have recommendations. It had been a while since visiting a Lucille's BBQ spot. We ordered nachos and spinach dip. They both came with chips obviously. The nachos were made with brisket. They can do a better job of placing ingredients over all the chips and not just towards the middle. The spinach dip seems like it just microwaved so I wasn't to impressed. My server recommended chicken with mashed potatoes and white gravy. It was delicious. Also ordered Ribs with brisket. The brisket was delicious and the ribs could've been smoked longer so that meat would fall off the bone.
I've came for happy hour a couple of times before and it was a 10/10. But I decided to actually have a meal this go round. And it kind of made me sad cause it wasn't that good. I got the ribs and I…

This place has been better before today I was disappointed in the food! Our sever was great and super helpful! The food just wasn’t good at all. I ordered the two meat plate with Mac n cheese and a side salad. The salad was great fresh and well prepared but the food just wasn’t great! The Mac and cheese was exactly like pollo locos Mac n cheese pretty trash the meat was nothing fabulous and the kids meal that has the fried chicken was horrible! Looked pink and bloody and had zero seasoning! Won’t be coming back soon or to be fair at least this location.
Good experience to me because that was a first time eating American Style BBQ. Certainly, it is enough to me, American Style BBQ must be tasting so good, however, this time was not so good to me. About a beef rib, there is nothing to eat and too much burned. Pork rib is almost same. Diced brisket bbq is too much fat. Those three menus are too dry for me. Sliced brisket is good taste.
Came here to have lunch, waitress looks at, and keeps walking. No greeting, no “we’ll be right with you, no nothing. After waiting to be served and seated for a bit. I’m out! Not coming here anymore. Very bad service!
I first like to state the Manager “JUSTIN” was an EXTREMELY COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY, and PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEE. The Asst. Manager “STACY” was an EXCEEDINGLY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, and an UNPROFESSIONAL employee!! In my opinion, an individual like this should NOT remain in a “CUSTOMER SERVICE” career field. I’m DISAPPOINTED that my server seemed clueless with questions I had from the menu. What was even MORE DISCOURAGING is that he brought me something I didn’t order.
Although the food was good and the waitress excellent, booths seats are literally broken. I spoke to the manager, he acknowledged the situation, adding that these seats routinely break and are constantly being re-repaired. I wonder what comments would corporate have to my concern.
Do not come horrible experience, staff clueless , the 70$ plate of burnt food that was cold , old , and tasted very rotten

The service was awful basically might as well have served myself. The food quality was junk, I got the cheese steak and all the meat was fat. Who in the world wants to choke that down. Terrible management I won't be coming back.
I’ve been hesitated to post it or not but here I am, I’ve visited there on Mother’s Day with my family to celebrate. I’ve been Lucille’s couple times in the past but this time I was very disappointed, ribs were served dried (over cooked), the greens were bitter, and coleslaws were so watery, mashed potatoes weren’t the greatest as well as peach cobbler , I don’t know what’s been going on the kitchen whoever was cooking our food prob needs more training I was trying to eat much as I can because I came here to have good time with good food with my family as a mother but no it was really disappointing.
Ok, now I really mean it. This Lucille's is on our banned list. With our feast, they forgot our biscuits again and the salad looks like other leftover salads put together. I tried to go back to curbside pickup and get my biscuits but there is a huge line. Of course not all masked. Forget the biscuits. Cant even park in the "curbside" spot.
We used to come here a lot because we liked Lucille and always had a good experience. But today was really disappointing. The place wasn’t even busy when we arrived, but we waited over 20 minutes and no one came to our table—not even to offer water. I tried to get a server’s attention a few times. One said “one moment” but never came back. We felt completely ignored. Honestly, really upsetting for a place we used to enjoy. Not sure we’ll be back.
I just wanna know why all other locations Lucille’s bbq offer take out on the deal for Tuesday meal for 2 for only 49.99$ but this one is dine in only for that deal they don’t offer take out on it but all the other Lucille’s in Long Beach Lakewood including 3 more locations I called offer take out on this deal besides this location makes no sense !
I love Lucille’s food overall, so when I have a taste for bbq/beef ribs, they are first on the list, but I have been noticing that they are highly inconsistent. I can go here one day and it’s great, then the next time it’s not so great. I always order the 5 beef rib and was told they no longer carry the 5 only the 3 or the 7. Of course the 7 rib is more expensive, $65, hadn’t been in some time so decided to order the 7. Idk what’s going on with the quality of the cut of ribs, but it’s horrible, you are not getting what you are paying for. I spent almost $200 on ribs (two orders of 7 beef ribs and one order of baby back ribs) and was mad disappointed at the beef bone ribs. Every time we order beef ribs they are already pre-cut for us, so it was a surprise that the 7 ribs were not cut, they just gave us the slabs. Cutting into the ribs I realized why they were not cut, it was all bone and fat, barely any meat, and not cooked well enough. We ordered to go so about time we got home to sit down and eat, we were very disappointed. Literally picking over the ribs to find any meat. I never leave reviews, but I am so mad and feel like I wasted my money. The sides were okay this time around and the lemonades were good. I wanted to call the store and complain, but just took it as a loss. The service is always nice, everyone is welcoming and attentive. If I decide to order again from here, guess it will no longer be the beef ribs.
Lucille’s Smokehouse was not it this Thanksgiving. Last year they were already running out of food choices, and somehow 2025 was worse. They were out of turkey, the plate we got looked like military slop, and the service was mediocre even with a light crowd. Lucille’s is fine for BBQ on a regular day, but Thanksgiving is definitely not their lane.
This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The rib tips were hard and dry, the mac and cheese was so dry it was almost inedible, the sausage was disgusting, and even the bread was hard. The apple butter had zero flavor. Nothing tasted fresh or cared for. To make it worse, our waiter never came back to check on us. By the time anyone showed up, we were already done and stuck paying for food we didn’t even enjoy. No check-in, no chance to fix anything, nothing. For the prices and reputation of Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, this was unacceptable. This place needs to do better, because this experience was a complete waste of money.
