The Texas Brisket was very good, especially with the little cornbread muffin that the meal came with. Server kept us topped of on the drinks the entire time and helped us with deciding what to order.

First time coming to Famous Dave’s , service was good! Marcus took care of us. The corn bread was 🔥 Fire😝🤘🏽. I was not a fan of the Mac it and cheese I’m sorry to say but Bobby QS was better lol.

My wife and I were craving some BBQ for lunch, so we went here. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxed. The staff was really nice. We had the Feast for 2, and oh my goodness it was definitely that. Everything tasted great. Even before adding BBQ sauce to the brisket, ribs or chicken, it had some great flavor. Their baked beans had some meat mixed in with it, which was great, and the mac n cheese included a little jalapeno in it. It wasn't hot, just tasty. We'll be back for sure.

I ate here for a late lunch. No crowd at all. Fast and friendly service. Ordered chicken tenders off the app menu. Fast, very good, and cheap.

Had an amazing time, the food was really good. Cold draft beer and only the best BBQ in town, what more can you ask for? Domenque W was attentive, friendly and made sure the food and drinks kept coming. I will definitely be back. The baby back ribs are a must try. Washed it down with a happy hour $3 dollar domestic beer while you are at it.

We went for our Dads birthday and had 23ppl. The service was Fantastic!!!! They accommodated all of our needs. So friendly and attentive. The food was beyond amazing. Famous Dave's never disappoints. We always, always look forward to eating here. I can't wait to go back.

Our waitress was in the bathroom on her phone and then completely distracted by something. Over 10 minutes before she came to take our order. The food was good, we dealt with the sub par service and had a nice meal.

Solid place to have BBQ ribs !! Baby's way better than St Louis, but both are pretty good. Different sauces including "Devil's spit" that is the spicy one. Now i understand why "Famous fries" are famous... those were great !!! Loaded baked potato with brisket is the only one that wouldn't ordered again. 3/5 FRIENDLY service and mostly of them always with a smile. The only opportunity I saw is the cleanliness, floor, walls and restrooms. I would definitely come back

So we ordered a festive foods "Feast For 2", and it took time to come serve on our table. I was watching another two tables which came after us, got served first before us. I wonder the time delay we got our foods ready bcoz it got to serve on the same one big plate & that's great BUT it made the ribs didn't come rite, it's bit cold + bit hard way different from the appetizers we ordered of "Burnt Ends" which came fresh n literally smokey (with the smoke! HOW FANTASTIC!) Maybe the way to serve within the time to make sure all foods serve in the same fresh condition can be reconsidered to better service ahead. However, the staffs serving our tables are amazing. We got one person on the training with another to back up and they really are kindly professional to do the job. Well done! 👍

This is the first time I've been here since it has been remodeled, so it's been a couple of years.🫢 It is a very different style and atmosphere than it was before. I went because I had a craving for barbecue chicken. And they do have very tasty barbecue. They also have a real easy menu to pick and choose whatever you want in whatever amount, like for instance you can order a two meat combo and double the meat. Great choice of signs including dessert! They have the absolute best chili I've ever had!!🙌🏻 Including my own lol.🤭 However the barbecue chicken🐣 was dry so I was disappointed 😔 I do like garlic red potatoes but it would be better if they want mashed as much.🫤 That's kind of something you like to have chunky 😋 One of the nice things about choices here is their giant family platter, which just includes everything!

We did come in at 8:30 & they were so kind and welcomed us! Service was amazing - our server was Delce, she was so kind and friendly. The brisket seemed old and tough (expected for the time we came in). All the sides were to die for- don’t forget to add on the banana pudding& fried pickles! YUM.

Good food and on time. Happy I was able to easily apply my rewards to my online order. Although I selected 2 “condiment packs’ (no utensils) on the app, when I picked up my order I was asked whether I wanted condiments or utensils. So that was overlooked by the staff but not a big deal.

I had take out for lunch. It took 45 minutes before receiving my to go order. Said it was something wrong with system. The food was delicious. Never happened before the long delay usually ready as stated.

We hadn't been to a Famous Dave's location in years. We stopped in today and had lunch. It was fine. The new decor is nice and clean looking. The chairs are a little on the small flimsy side. As for the food, the ribs weren't as good as they used to be. They had a strange flavor in the rub (something weird that I've never tasted on their ribs, like...cloves or something?) and they were kind of chewy. I remember them being more tender in the past. Other than that, the food was fine. The server was nice and we enjoyed our meals. Pro tip... Get the lunch portions if it's lunch time because the dinner portions of meat looked exactly the same but came with 1 extra side and cost about $10 more than lunch.

Food was ok. Brisket was dry and the catfish wasn’t great without the remoulade. Everything needed a sauce. Love those Wilbur beans and cornbread. Atmosphere was LOUD, but the service was 5 stars and the happy hour deals took the edge off everyone trying to yell over each other. The service really saved this review.

The place was nice and the staff were very friendly. The beer was nice and cold, and the fried pickles and sauces were on point. However, the portions are small for the price. The sides are tiny, and there is very little meat in the sandwich. The food was good but not very good. I probably won't be back.

First time at Famous Dave's. Restaurant looks like it has seen better days. Waitress was friendly. Got the combo of brisket and sausage with a baked potato The loaded baked potato was the highlight of the meal. The brisket was fatty and rubbery - as you can see by the pic it looked weird. The sausage link was definitely better than the brisket. I was happy to see that Famous Dave's offers Bakers Square pies. Got the French silk and it was just like the Bakers Square I remember.

I used to dine here years ago. Service has gone down and the food was unremarkable. Also the atmosphere was bettwr before with the dark wood, it's now plain white. I was also looking forward to the bar b que chips they used to bring out. I think I need to find another bar b que restaurant.

Having had real bbq from texas the food was mediocre. Order was to go. Sides were clearly sitting in the containers for many hours and didn't taste fresh. The brisket and burnt ends i had were dry, probably because they were served over a slice of bread.

The wife and I came here for dinner, my first time coming. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about this place. I was not impressed with the brisket, warm and chewy. The baked beans was not what I expected. The ribs were so so. The wedge fries were nice. The onion strings were great. The roasted chicken was not all that good, it had a weird taste to it. The cole.slaw and sweet tea were amazing. The pecan pie was really good. The wife says the banana pudding was good. The BBQ sauces were nice. I was just disappointed by the brisket, ribs and chicken. Being a meat man and I love BBQ, I was just a little disappointed. The food did not meet the hype that everyone has given. Again this is just my opinion.

Famous Dave's treats black customers different from all their other customers My friend and I went in on July 26th 2025 the portion size was smaller than others, I noticed at other tables of non-African American people and their portions were much larger. I don't recommend eating at Famous Dave's, try some other barbecue places around town I'm sure you'll get your money's worth, we spent good money to get less than quality food the service was good.

Ribs are mostly bone. Looks like left overs from other people, Baked potato not cooked, stingy with the broccoli, Horrible experience. Don't think i’ll be coming again

We wanted a good barbecue sandwich so husband drove 22 miles to pick us up some barbecue pork sandwiches. It had been years since last visit and I remember it being good before but this was awful. It tasted so old like leftover for 4 days or more! No flavor either. I don’t know if they just baked the meat in the oven or what? I am not sure if they normally automatically put barbecue sauce on sandwiches to try to cover the taste of the meat or not but the sauce was awful too and I never get sauce on my barbecue sandwich as Real barbecue does not need sauce anyway. I really hope I don’t get food poisoning. The Cole slaw was good.

I used to be a fan, today is Fourth of July I was feeling under the weather so I decided to order some barbecue from famous Daves. Food arrived, and I cannot say how disappointed I am that the potatoes are raw uncooked, the brisket meat taste boiled, and the ribs taste like they were cooked two months ago, and then frozen and rewarmed up the chicken appears nice moist but totally tasteless. I was so discussed and decided not to eat any of it . What a disappointment after expecting to throw down. I don’t know what kind of rush you had for the holiday but there’s no excuse for this type of food coming out of your establishment. I’ll may try you again against my better judgment when it’s not a holiday, but as it goes now, I’m totally disappointed and not looking forward to ever visiting again. I did order your banana, cream pie, pecan pie, and apple pie those look store bought so maybe they will be okay. Seems so wasteful that it all will most likely end up in the trash. Disappointing to say the least.

Update: used to love coming to this restaurant but the most recent trip we ordered a dozen muffins and they all looked smashed and chunks taken out of them. I sent a message directly to the store through the app and they didn’t even respond. The pictures are what they looked like when I opened the lid. Bummed. Probably won’t be back for a long time. Previous review: Food is always good at this location. I’ve never been disappointed with the service or food quality.

I highly don’t recommend this location because I was given food that was sitting out for maybe 4 to 5 hours. Yes they were closing in a couple hours, but I assume I will get fresh food. I can tell that it was sitting in a warmer because of the texture they only gave me, I was given few burnt in pieces with my two piece meat and then fried pickles was horrible way to big should have been half the size, Even the drinks were water down and tasted disgusting Proceed with caution at this location.

They put corn in their Mac n cheese. Gross food ever I exchanged it for the beans which is really good. Gabriel is the rudest and slowest waiter. He shouldn’t address customers as dude.

Update: Per their response below, I submitted the Famous Dave's contact form, and never heard back from them. It's been over two weeks. They are so NOT committed to exceptional service! STAY AWAY!!! Go to Rudy's for any meat by the pound that you need! We just had the most disappointing experience with the Chandler Famous Dave's restaurant. We have been to the restaurant several times, and have ordered full catering last year. For my son's graduation get-together this weekend, we didn't need full catering, but instead just needed some meat by the pound for extra sandwiches. I ordered several pounds of the Texas Beef Brisket through the app 48 hours ahead of time. I added the delivery option that they offered me and prepaid a generous tip. The food was to be delivered on Sunday at 3:30pm. I received two texts from Famous Dave's confirming my order, along with a direct email from Famous Dave's also confirming my order. On Sunday afternoon, a little over an hour before our scheduled delivery, I got a text from Doordash and an email from Famous Dave's stating that our order had been canceled. I called the restaurant in a panic, since people would be arriving soon. The "manager" that I spoke with (Bob) was very rude, and said he never received the order, because DoorDash canceled it. At this point, I hadn't given him an order number, so how would he know if he didn't receive it? Anyway, I told him that we had received a confirmation email and text, and he asked for the order number. I gave it to him, and he verified my information. He also asked if I had ordered catering. I said "no", and that I had just ordered on the app. I thought it was strange that he asked that question. He then said, "Sorry, DoorDash canceled this order. There's nothing I can do. You'll have to put another order in on the app". What? I then reminded him that I paid for delivery, and that I'm only 15 minutes away. Bob provided no viable solution other than for us to resubmit the order and drive down to the restaurant and pick it up ourselves. I told him I would send my daughter to pick up the food. I asked for a discount to make up for the mess that was caused right before our party. Bob said No. My daughter picked up the food (Bob did pass along a small discount). Remember, we ordered the Texas Beef Brisket ... their most expensive meat. What we got was a layer of brisket on top, with the meat below being some chopped up, over-salted mess. This is the first time that my guests did not finish the brisket. It was so disappointing. Anyway, after the party, I contacted DoorDash about our failed order. They told me that they didn't cancel the order. They were notified of the canceled order and then informed us. They further stated that even if they wanted to cancel for some reason, they do not have the option to do so. I have included pictures of the disgusting meat we received, along with the confirmation from Famous Dave's and confirmation from DoorDash that they did not cancel the order. Bob clearly lied to us. DoorDash does not cancel orders. Famous Dave's probably canceled the order themselves, and then notified DoorDash. Then, when under pressure to make our order, they put some sloppy burnt ends or some other chopped meat into our container under the real beef brisket. Incidentally, this is only the second time we've ordered (non-catering) food to go. And the first time, they gave us the wrong order. Lesson learned Bob. We'll never use your services again. Back to Rudy's!

We usually have good experiences here, but this time was definitely different. They sat is in the bar area which is totally fine. The waitress brought us our food, the brisket was cold, ours wasn't the only one because we heard another man complaining about his brisket. Then on of the meats I ordered was the shrimp, it was only 3 shrimp and very chewy. I couldn't even eat the other 2. We asked the waitress for 2 waters with our meal since we were having a couple of drinks, she only brought one. We really didn't see her enough to tell her about our food and drinks. Very disappointed at this visit. Hopefully next time it will be better.

I noticed Dave’s Famous BBQ while leaving Chandler Fashion Center and decided to stop in since I’d never eaten there before. The restaurant was not busy. I grabbed a menu from the Hostess, sat at the bar, and waited about five minutes before the bartender came over. He asked for my drink order, I ordered a beer, and went back to reviewing the menu. The bartender poured the beer, told me he would be right back, and then disappeared. I sat there watching my beer sitting on the other side of the counter while he chatted with other customers at a table behind me. After several more minutes, he still had not returned. I checked my watch and realized his “be right back” had turned into nine minutes. At that point, I looked again at the beer he poured getting warm and left without being served. I won’t be returning.

I was very disappointed in the quality of food has gone down hill. The place is painted white wash. No atmosphere at all. They erased the great atmosphere they used to have. I will never eat there again. Bartenders was great. Just the crap mixer for drink is crap. I paid full price and tip 22%. They offered to discount, I said you get 1 chance I am not here to train your staff. Go get fast food before going here. They been 86 on my list.

First time we tried Famous Dave’s today. It was a recommendation from a coworker. Not great. I ordered a drink, it came with a hair in it, when I showed the waitress she didn’t apologize just took it back to the bar. The food wasn’t the best, corn on the cob was over cooked and mooshie, bbq chicken was ok, brisket was overly salted. We left feeling very underwhelmed and like a bowling ball was sitting in our stomach. We should have realized this wasn’t the best option since it was noon on a weekend and the place was pretty empty.

We had a terrible experience at Famous Dave’s over a year ago and, against our better judgment, decided to give it another chance today. That was a mistake. This is hands-down the most disgusting BBQ I’ve ever eaten. The brisket somehow tasted boiled and was rubbery — honestly, how do you even manage to ruin brisket that badly? The burnt ends were hard as rocks, the chicken was so dry it was nearly inedible, and the cheese curds were literally sitting in oil when they came out. On top of that, they forgot half of our sides. What’s most astonishing is that people still leave this place good reviews. It’s honestly worrisome how low the standard for “good food” seems to have sunk. This meal was a complete waste of $100, and we won’t be giving them a third chance.
