Indaco isn’t talked about enough. They do a phenomenal job and consistently source high quality ingredients. Their DOP certified tomatoes, local vegetables, and farm raised chicken really stand out, and you can taste the difference in every dish. The menu is thoughtful, the flavors are bold but balanced, and everything comes out fresh and perfectly cooked. The pizza is exceptional with a great crust, quality toppings, and just the right char. Service is always warm, attentive, and professional, and the atmosphere is lively without feeling overwhelming. Every visit has been excellent and they never disappoint. In my opinion, Indaco is the best Italian restaurant in Charleston and they serve the best pizza too. I would recommend starting with the Spicy Soppressata pizza. It is the perfect kick to open the meal and a great way to experience their dough and ingredients. After that, go straight for the bolognese. It is rich, comforting, and exactly what you want after the pizza, and it rounds out the meal perfectly.

One of our favorite Italian spots in Charleston. It's a little less pretentious than Sorelle's or Melfi's, and the food is great. We like to get lots of smaller plates and share, so we tried the Spicy Sopressata pizza, Lamb Ragu, Caesar salad, the Foccasia with burnt orange honey, and the Dark Chocolate Budino which was to die for. Every single dish was delicious, we couldn't pick favorites. The service was also spectacular - our waiter was knowledgable about the menu and took great care of us. There were date nights and family gatherings going on here at the same time, just a great laid back energy. We loved our visit to Indaco and will definitely be back again.

Amazing. Went two nights in a row … we rarely see fantastic bar tender, cocktails, food and atmosphere. This place rocks all three. Bar tender Mattie was amazing at making suggestions for food and drinks. Super friendly without being overbearing. Wine was great for happy hour and I am a wine complainer. Restaurants usually cheap out one wine and serve awful Meimo or Josh… their happy hour red was good! Atmosphere was great. Super hip with fun staff, happy vibe, and not too packed in too tight. Food: Bolognese was best we have ever had. Agnolotti with sweet potatoes is a dish with so much flavor I will be thinking about it for the next year when i got to an Italian restaurant. Potatoes and Brussels were my husbands favorite. But the sweet Potato dish was also something I will wish I could order in atlanta. Every dish here was created with care. Nothing on their menu is bland. Sigh— we can’t go back tomorrow night.

I had my birthday dinner this past Thursday at Indaco, and everything from the food to the service, to the prices..10 outta 10 experience. Taylor was my host, and she was the absolute most sweetest server I've ever had pleasure of meeting in Charleston. She was a true gem. Everything I ordered from the foccacia to the Spicy Sopressetta pizza, to the Chocolate Cherry Budino was PHENOMENAL!!! They even brought me a complimentary slice of Tiramisu for my birthday and a beautiful birthday card. Everything made my birthday feel very special. I'm so glad I choose Indaco for my birthday dinner. I'll definitely be back soon! Thanks so much again

I came here with some girlfriends visiting me in Charleston, and I was honestly impressed! Even though I have passed by this restaurant a handful of times, Indaco wasn't really on my radar. We ordered the Tagliatelle, Peach Pizza, Mushroom Pizza, and the Mafaldine for food. Everything came out perfectly. The pizzas were excellent and a shareable size. However, I wish the pasta entrees were larger to make it easier to share. Our server helped explain to us the differences between pasta dishes and what customers' favorites are. We had a dirty martini and the 'La Paloma' to drink. The restaurant was smaller than expected, but I enjoyed the intimate setting. I would come here again or try their pasta class!

Love the atmosphere here. Takes you out of the city into a cute restaurant. The ambience is great and service was welcoming. Good came fast even though they were busy. Pictured are the Brussel sprouts which were surprisingly a little spicy to me but otherwise very good. We also got the pizza Bianca which I think would have been elevated by some sort of drizzle on top but very good!

By far the best restaurant we ate at in Charleston. The food was amazing!! I am celiac and almost the entire menu could be made gluten free. Brittany P was the kindest, most helpful server! She made sure I felt safe eating with my restrictions! The gluten free pasta was excellent, as well as the bread and dessert! Can’t say enough positive things about our experience.

My most recent visit to Indaco reminded me that I have not held this longtime gem in nearly high enough regard. They may not be the newest kid on the block filling everyone’s Instagram feed, but maybe that’s because they’re too busy serving consistently excellent food instead of chasing influencer chaos.Every single time I’ve dined here, it’s been awesome. This visit was a shared feast featuring their warm, pillowy house focaccia, perfectly tender polpette, and—my forever order—the squid ink pasta. I swear they always have some variation of it on the menu, and I get it every single time without fail. We also enjoyed the roasted sweet potato, ricotta, and balsamic agnolotti, along with the Amatriciana pizza, which was the ideal balance of smoky, savory, and satisfying. And for dessert, I made the only reasonable decision available to me: ordering the gelato trio because choosing just one felt emotionally irresponsible.. No regrets—each flavor was rich, creamy, and the perfect finish to the meal. They rotate their menu seasonally but seem to retain a few beloved staples, and the pricing remains refreshingly reasonable compared to many of the very expensive options nearby. Indaco, I’m sorry for ever taking you for granted. You’re officially in my regular rotation now.

My husband and I had our 5 year anniversary dinner here while visiting Charleston. From the very beginning, the service was wonderful! We checked in with the hostess and seated at our table that had a “happy anniversary” card on there where the individual staff members all wrote their own message. We had Fawn as our waitress for the night and absolutely adored her. I have Celiac Disease and she took great care to ensure no cross contamination with my food. We had the burrata to start and with gluten free flat bread. I decided to get a pizza and the crust was the right amount of soft and crunchiness - not the cardboard feel that us gluten free folks hate. Everything was absolutely delicious!! Fawn brought out a glass of prosecco for us to enjoy on the house for our anniversary and as we were leaving gave me a knitted sunflower from a local artist. Our experience here was exceptional and we felt very well taken care of for our night. Can’t wait to come back!

Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in Charleston. My girlfriend and I love coming here. All the food is amazing highly recommend the pizza and the pasta. Tyler behind the bar is an AWESOME bartender and always makes the perfect cocktails. Highly recommend this dinner spot.

Everything was delicious. We were in town visiting family and we were very grateful that they found a last minute spot for us, but I would definitely recommend making a reservation. By the time we left the place was very full. The pasta was wonderful. My only constructive criticism was that my wife’s Cappelletti pasta (a stuffed pasta sort of like tortellini) felt like a small portion size, especially when compared to the other 2 pasta dishes we ordered which cost about the same. We wound up giving some of our pasta to her because we felt like we had more than enough. But everything was extremely good and we look forward to coming back someday!

Absolutely amazing to be able to go somewhere this nice that was not only able to accommodate allergies but was happy to! Our server fawn was so lovely. I have gluten, egg, and dairy allergies And I got to eat a delicious dinner that accommodated me. The wine was great and the place was lovely as well

Excellent Italian and Italian inspired dishes. I had the brussel sprouts pizza and let me tell you, it was awesome. No not a traditional Italian pie but the flavors were uniquely original. The Brussels were more of a garnish and didn't overpower the flavor, which came primarily from the crust and the spiced (not spicy) maple syrup. My wife went more traditional with the cavatelli and it was on point and exactly what you want from Italian cuisine. The waiter was attentive but not obtrusive. The place is a little small so they try to optimize space. It was loud when we got there but by 8:30 it quieted down and was very cozy. They also make an amazing espresso martini which isn't on the menu.

Indaco is a fantastic spot for authentic Italian cuisine in Charleston. The Margherita pizza was a highlight, featuring a perfectly charred crust and incredibly fresh ingredients. It is a must-visit for anyone looking for high-quality wood-fired pizzas and a great atmosphere!

We had a reservation at Indaco for a bachelorette trip—but in a classic mix-up, I accidentally booked it for Charlotte instead of Charleston. When we showed up with a large group, we quickly realized the mistake. The restaurant was fully booked for the evening, and I was feeling pretty defeated. That’s when Maureen stepped in like a hero. She was determined to make it work and get our group taken care of. She sat with us outside, patiently took our orders, answered all of our questions, and offered thoughtful recommendations—handling a variety of dietary restrictions with grace and ease. Tyler at the front was equally kind and reassuring. He helped ease our embarrassment and let us know they were going to do everything they could to make it work—and they absolutely did. Maureen worked her magic and got us a table, with our orders already in by the time we were seated! Even though they were clearly squeezing us in, we never felt rushed or like we were an inconvenience. Our server, Alex, was fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. This ended up being by far the best meal we had during our stay in Charleston. The food was phenomenal, the service outstanding, and the hospitality unforgettable. Huge thanks to Maureen, Tyler, and Alex for turning a stressful moment into an unforgettable night. You went above and beyond, and we’re so grateful!

This place is awesome! The vibe is super fun and welcoming, and the staff is amazing—really friendly and make you feel right at home. The pizza was delicious, with fresh ingredients and the perfect crust. And the dessert? Next level—definitely save room for it! If you’re looking for great food, great people, and a great atmosphere, this is the spot.

First time dining at Indaco and will definitely return. Fantastic Italian restaurant with impeccable service. Started off with great cocktails and Focaccia bread and meatball appetizers. The Tagliatelle and Beef Radiatori were delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly. Superb dining experience!

What a wonderful experience. My wife and I were visiting from Chicago, celebrating our anniversary and there was an anniversary card waiting for us signed by the staff. That was very cool, but our server Taylor made our experience memorable. She was super sweet, upbeat, patient, knowledgeable, and created a wonderful experience for us. We had several courses and she suggested to separate each course. That made the pace of meal much more intimate and we never felt rushed. Lovely. The pizza we ordered took longer than expected and manager Tonya stopped by to let us know we would not be charged for that - so kind of her! Hostess was happy to answer questions as well. Excellent team at Indaco, they really are fantastic. My wife has a soy allergy and Taylor surprised us by bringing the only desert she could have as a gift for our anniversary. They simply did too much. What a lovely way to start our vacation in Charleston. We appreciate the memorable experience! I should mention the food was excellent too. Meatballs, broccolini, potatoes, wood fire pizza, and Cappelletti were all delicious. The wood fire pizza has a fantastic texture. Highly recommend!

This Charming place downtown is a must try! I dine consistently, one of the best places for espresso martinis! The food is all exceedingly delicious, the calamari and burrata being the perfect starters and then the Radiatori and Half Chicken landing in my top two favorite entrees. Tasty, savory pizza selection! Cute atmosphere, very attentive service ✨

We visited Charleston for a bachelorette party and dinner at Indaco was incredible. The service was amazing; our server Olivia was fantastic and made the bride feel really special! The food was delicious, the peach pizza was 10/10!

Amazing Italian food! Can’t wait to visit again. I had seen videos about Indaco on TikTok so during our trip, I made reservations for dinner. When we arrived for our reservation, we realized that I had accidentally made a reservation for the Charlotte location. It was a Saturday so the whole restaurant was incredibly busy, but the host was super accommodating and placed us on a wait. We went for drinks elsewhere while we waited and were able to be seated within an hour. Our waitress was amazing - super knowledgeable about all the food and gave great good recommendations and wine recs. We really enjoyed the pizza as well as the chicken. The tiramisu was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s also a great atmosphere for a Saturday night, super lively. Can’t wait to visit again!

Love Indaco! It’s my go-to for happy hour they have a fun vibe, amazing service, and the daily pizza specials are always creative and delicious. One time they even chased us down the block with our leftovers! Truly amazing service!

We walked into Indaco thinking we’d play it safe with a classic Margherita pizza, but plot twist! Their menu was full of unique, curated flavor combos, and we couldn’t resist. First up, the Fig pizza. Who knew fig jam could be a pizza sauce?! With gorgonzola, fontina, mozzarella, balsamic, and arugula, it was the perfect mix of sweet, tangy, and cheesy goodness. Then came the Pecan pizza (because why stop at one when flavors like this exist?!). Spinach, mozzarella, fontina, parmesan, parsley, and their homemade pecan pesto—it was a game-changer. That pesto alone deserves its own fan club. The pizzas were woodfired and baked to perfection, with that ideal crispy-yet-chewy crust. We also tried the Tortelli, which was… fine. Not bad, just didn’t steal the show like the pizzas did. Moral of the story: If you’re at Indaco, go for the pizza, get adventurous with the flavors, and definitely try that Fig Jam Pizza!! 🍕

I had the pleasure of dining at Indaco restaurant I must say, it was an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere. Our server, Fawn, was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about the menu, helping us navigate the extensive selection of Vegetarian Italian dishes. Their Beetroot salad and Brussel Sprouts side dish were to die for. The flavors were so vibrant and fresh. They also had a separate menu for kids so my daughter was taken care of. The portion sizes were generous, to say the least, and we left feeling satisfied but not stuffed. The food is authentic, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Whether you're a foodie, a couple on a date, or a family looking for a delicious meal, this restaurant is sure to exceed your expectations.

Sisters' getaway was a blast. Especially with dining experiences. Indaco was incredible. Start to finish!! Ashley, our server, made great recommendations. The sisters walked away, sated and satisfied. I will definitely be back. Bonus, leftovers made a fantastic second meal the next day. Loved the decor and absolutely loved each of our meals.

This was the best italian food I have ever had! So flavorful with such a huge variety! My husband and I tried the 3 course meal which was the top picks at the restaurant and it was incredible! The staff was so excited for us to try their favorite items on the menu and each item was truely amazing! Sophia was our waitress and she made the whole experience one that we will remember for years to come! Thank you to the whole team at Indaco!

Indaco was already my fave in Charleston but their “For The Table” brought it to a new level. With that option we received two appetizers and a pizza (Course 1), a pasta and main (Course 2) and a dessert, all chosen by the chef. Every course was exquisite and so much food. We chose to do a wine pairing with it and our server Kat blew us away with the wines she selected. Worth every penny and the best deal going in Charleston! You do not want to miss out.

Sophia was amazing 10/10 5 stars best food we ever had. Best espresso martini as well. A must visit. And our picky kids devoured their pizza. Skip the other places and visit asap

One of the best Italian restaurants 🤌🏼 The pork chop was easily the best that I have ever tasted. Oh and the Caesar Salad…. The biggest, never seen that big of a Caesar Salad at a restaurant before, and only $14!!!! And I’m not sure if it is homemade dressing but… it’s amazing!!! Would recommend

Had dinner tonight and it was excellent. Alex was our server and did a great job. Our drinks were always full and empty plates were gone immediately. The food came out fast and was beyond delicious. If you are Charleston and want a great Italian dinner with an atmosphere that rocks, make reservations at Indaco, you will not be disappointed!

Blown away doesn’t begin to cover it. We visited Indaco Charleston for a birthday dinner as out-of-town guests. From the moment we walked in to the goodbyes we received on our way out the door—Indaco was the perfect choice. The meatballs were delicious (the red sauce may have been the star), the spicy soppresatta pizza was salty and sweet and crunchy and just the right hint of spicy. We had the tagliatelle which is a nice homage to a carbonara and, upon recommendation from our incredible server, the mushroom capelletti—a dish that had a mushroom hater scraping the dregs of the plate! The service was impeccable, the ambiance was cozy and cheerful, and the food was truly something to write home about. We hope to visit Indaco again on future trips!

We had a wonderful experience at Indaco this weekend for restaurant week. The food was so good and our waiter (Alex) was fantastic. It was a little loud in there and some people were crowding our table a bit (they were loitering at the bar which was right next to our table). But nevertheless, we had a great experience and are looking forward to returning

Ashley was AMAZING. Every recommendation was on spot. Attention to every detail, timing was perfect and her personal touch was on point. Could not have asked for a better experience or server! Everything I ate was delicious, even if it wasn’t I’d still come back.

Taylor was our server and she was fantastic! Personable, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything you would want for great service in a Charleston restaurant! The food was delicious as always (we come here frequently). As a local I am thrilled to have a place to come where I know everything will be consistent and live up to our expectations. Thank you again, Taylor!

Four of us really enjoyed dinner at Indaco on this Wednesday in October. We couldn't get a table on the patio, so we sat in the dining room, which was a little loud. Everything was delicious, and our server, Bruce, took excellent care of us. For starters, we enjoyed the meatballs, burrata, and prosciutto di parma, with our fav being the meatballs. For entrees, we all thought the Market Fish (red drum tonight) was our fav, but we also really enjoyed the cavatelli and the Brussels Sprouts Pizza, with all its interesting flavors. We enjoyed a nice Italian wine as well. We've been to Indaco a handful of times over the years, and I think we should go more frequently.

The food was delicious! High quality food that will definitely have us coming back. Brittany was our server and she was phenomenal. She was well versed in the menu and explained it well. Anything we needed she was on top of. So glad we found this place. A definite visit whenever we come to Charleston!

Our visit started with a longer-than-expected wait despite our reservation. Service from Buffalo was excellent—attentive and professional. The walnut pasta was phenomenal and a group favorite. Carbonara was good but a bit too salty. Pizza was solid but nothing standout. We’d return for the walnut pasta and great service.

Went to indaco to celebrate on my bachelorette trip and had a fantastic time. There was even a handwritten card on our table wishing the bride-to-be a happy celebration! Our waitress could not have been any nicer and attentive. I’m a bolognese-lover and theirs is one of my all time favorites!

Wonderful service by Fawn for our anniversary. Seated in a window we enjoyed a great meal and the King Street view. Especially kind to have a signed anniversary card at our table. Complimentary dessert. Nice wine selection too!

Almost 5 star. The pizza was 5/5 amazing. Well done but still soft fluffy crust with great flavor. We added Calabrian chilli and honey to the margarita. Carrots app was good. The mint I thought was a little off. Agnolotti pasta was a pretty small serving for the price. Also was underseasoned. After adding some salt and pepper it tasted good. I asked for a side of the spicy lamb sausage. It had no seasoning on it and zero spice. The 5 zeppole with chocolate chip cannoli cream was amazing. They gave this to us for our birthdays which was very nice. The lemon olive oil cake was good too and not too sweet but moist. 5/5 on the 2 desserts.

J
Jason Shevrin

Really nice restaurant. The service was great. The ambiance was great. We had the foccacia bread with whipped ricotta. The olive tapenade was really nice. We also had the wood fired broccolini as an app. While it was really good it didn't come out hot and didn't have that wood fired taste. For entree we split the bolognese, which was really well done but a little salty. Although we split it if I were hungry and ordering my own entree I feel the cost was high for the portion as well. Overall nice spot I'd like to go back and try a zaa.

N

The atmosphere was great and the service was phenomenal! Such a beautiful establishment with the nicest staff. Makes for a great spot for a nice date. The food was pretty good. The pizza was solid but the fried calamari's breading just fell right off so I found myself digging for squid in a bowl of breading. Props to the bartender for the killer old fashioned though! There's also a huge wine selection so if you're a connoisseur this is a great spot to check out. Definitely bringing my family in the next time they're in town.

Upscale Italian restaurant with a twist. If your table is up to it, I’d recommend the chef special which means you get no say in the 3 course meal - chef picks. It’s a great way to try several different dishes. The restaurant does seem to rotate dishes to some degree; everything we tried was good. The ricotta cavatelli was my absolute favorite dish (our server also said it was his favorite) and the gelato for dessert. I’m not sure if there’s a dress code, but it does appear to be expected - this makes sense to match the vibe of the restaurant. Definitely a good date night spot. I’d recommend reservations. Parking is tough to find, especially on a busy night so factor that into your time.

C
Cyd Woods

Beautiful restaurant and very friendly service but food is mostly too bland for my tastes. We had dinner reservations here last night and were excited after reading reviews on the food. We were even more excited when they told us pastas were made fresh in house. We started with the Focaccia bread served with a ricotta orange burnt honey dip as well as the Polpette Meatballs. While the bread was fine, the ricotta dip was a cold dip which I wasn’t totally expecting and the flavors just didn’t do anything for me. The meatballs on the other hand were very yummy and I could’ve eaten way more of those. I ordered the Hugo Spritzer which was tart, citrusy and minty. It was a nice refreshing drink after wandering around the city all day. My husband got the Black & Blue from the zero proof options and said it was not bad. For dinner I ordered the Campanelle with the 3 mushrooms including pickled mushrooms which sounded very interesting to me. My husband ordered the Triangoli stuffed with blue crab. My 7 year old got the kids pasta (cavatappi) with butter and Parmesan. When the dishes came out, my daughter tasted hers and said it tasted like they didn’t put enough Parmesan cheese. This pretty much summed up our feelings on our pasta dishes as well. While they may be fresh, they generally lacked flavor for all 3 of us. Maybe their pizzas are better but I don’t think I would give a try to any of the pastas again.

T
Tiffiny Ruegner

It was a beautiful place with great service. We got the chef taster menu served family style . Pizza was superb, the lemon chicken gnocchi thing was really good but not what I would call gnocchi. The sauces were good but the ravioli and linguini were not good pasta, it was either not made in house or the dough was seriously overworked. The desserts were heaven. It was not worth $60 per person but you will get full.
