Had to post about the fantastic lunch we just had! Chef Anna and her team really went above and beyond, and the food was perfectly seasoned, classic and approachable with a southern flare. Can't wait to be back again!

This is a nice restaurant at the Barracks shopping centre. I came at 10:30 and it was nice and quiet. My sandwich came quickly. It wasn’t the best salmon sandwich I’ve had; it could’ve done with more spice and salt.

Visit day 1/18/26. Dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, I’m still thinking about it days later. David was the name of the chef. He came out to speak with us and was very kind as well as our Server. Definitely going again soon.

I was in heaven, great atmosphere the Biscoff infused Chicken and Waffles was amazing!!!! Congrats to the chef. Be going there many more times.

The Chicken and Biscoff Waffles were crazy with flavor, and the crispy breading of the chicken was out of this world. My server Kaden was awesome, quick to help me with whatever I needed. Five stars!

Everything was great. The food, the service and the management. Keisha & David was great to my family. I recommend you trying the deep fried deviled eggs.

Excellent value - large portion sizes and high-quality cooking. Classic southern dishes with small and thoughtful tweaks. Service was crazy fast at 4pm. Staff were great. Decent number of patio seats.

This was my first time going to Milk and Honey Southern fried chicken in Charolettville Va. The food was great, customer service and the hospitality outstanding. kudos 💯 If u ever come to CVille, stop by Milk and Honey Southern Fried. Kudos, kudos 💯!!👍🏾

The food was to die for and the service was also really good our server was Hannah and she was so welcoming and friendly. She gave us great recommendations for the the food, definitely get the salmon chowder if you can and the crispy fish sandwich as well as the house made sweet tea 10/10 would go again

Wentbon a Sunday brunch, 12:30pm. Very loud music. Surprised. Food choices chicken and waffle was great, huge portions, chicken sandwich was plain and boring but ok. Servers ours was good but over seated, busy and took more time than expected to get orders and receive follow up service. Over I'd come back but I'm bringing earplugs

We were worried because it’s a little expensive ($15-25 for the main course, $15 for an alcoholic drink). But WOW was it worth it. The food was incredible. Beautiful plating, very generous use of butter. 😂 But in a way that left you full, not sick. Lakeisha was a great server and mixologist, and I’m pretty sure our food was hand delivered by the manager! Both were very sweet and genuinely seemed to want our opinions on the seasonal items. So if you want a fancy place to go for a celebration (or just have a lot of money!) this is the one.

Just went here for the first time and had a great experience. It was not too crowded and Cam was our server…she was wonderful. She spent time talking with us and also made great recommendations for our menu choices, all of which were great. I will definitely be going back and I really hope that Cam will be our server because she definitely went above and beyond.

Today as We Celebrated My Family Member's 55th Birthday. I must say the Atmosphere, Service and Food was Top Notched. Kam ,was our Server and She Displayed the Utmost Professionalism. She interacted with Everyone, in a manner that No one at the table had a Complaint. The Food was Simply Delectable. This has Truly been an Experience to Share with Anyone who may consider visiting. I would rate the visit 10 out of 10 .

Lunch visit. Great food. Excellent Service. Had to make a choice between the Shrimp and Grits vs Smash Burger (newly added) and choose the Grits. Smooth and creamy grits and plenty of good blackened shrimp. Little skimpy on the andouille sausage, but excellent sauce. Will visit again.

I ordered the biscuits and cheesecake pancake! So delicious when it comes to waffles and pancakes and the music is very calm, love the environment and food comes out faster than you can say go hoos! Cam Lindsay was our server she is fabulous, and deserves some praise! Such a bright spirit and great in the realm of costumer service. I’m a UVA student and have come to love this new hidden gem of a restaurant

I was coming from an appointment with a fasting blood draw and was a bit hangry and craving comfort food on a cold wintry morning. The lot was empty as I arrived shortly after their opening, and I was warmly greeted by a pleasant young woman named Cam upon entering. She seated me and took my drink order. Cam was professional, perky, and attentive throughout my stay, and when I invited her to “surprise me” by choosing between the Salmon & Grits or Shrimp & Grits for me, she did not disappoint when she reappeared with the shrimp & grits—they were fantastic!! Highly recommend checking out this fine eatery with an impressive menu of Southern comfort food with just the right amount of sophistication.

Great experience! Food was great and service was awesome. Mandela was accommodating and hospitable. He made sure we really enjoyed our experience and was patient with all of our requests. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Cam did a great job tonight for my family of 6. Typically when a restaurant is a little slower service really stinks but not in this case. It was a great relaxing atmosphere and she made sure to not only provide great service but also wasn’t too present at the table so we could enjoy our dining experience. She made appropriate recomendations and was spot on after asking a few implementing questions about our preferences. The food was excellent, the Cajun chicken was amazing and while I’d come back for the food I’d have come back just for the service. Way to go!!!

We were recommended by our friends who we are here visiting for the holiday. I came in starving so I went with the best chicken and waffles ive ever ate in my life! It was fairly busy so we sat at the bar and Dajah was amazing! She kept the drinks coming for us too! We will definitely be adding this spot to our "go-to" when in town!

Keisha was an absolute angel. Gave great recommendations and never missed a beat even with other tables she was caring for. The hospitality was worth every moment. I was having a not so good day that day as I had just lost somebody close to me, and she helped me in ways she may never know!! Thank you for everything and make sure you try that amazing smash burger. We left no crumbs!! We will be back very soon!

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and sitting in Dajahs section. We are from Raleigh North Carolina. The drinks were amazing. Her service was incredible. We had the tail of two fish and it was very delicious. We highly recommend you come see Dajah at Milk and Honey! You will not be disappointed.

We went to celebrate my girlfriend’s graduation and had breakfast. It turned into a whole thing. Ethan was our server he did amazing we got champagne and the manager even came out and greeted us. The staff is friendly, and welcoming. The food is amazing, they can customize your dish to your liking. This is a must try place. I recommend the wings, chicken and waffles, the fried tomatoes and the chicken and grits. They sound like normal dishes but they are not. You will see what I mean.

First the restaurant is beautiful. My husband and I both ordered from the specials. His shrimp and crab and there was a ton of large shrimp included and he is still raving about it. The chicken sandwich was so good. We are both also obsessed with the sweet tea with pineapple and mint. Our server, Yahir, also made sure we had a great experience. Our staff also asked to make sure we had everything we need. 10/10 stars.

The food was very good, but the service was even better! My friend and I had the Wharf Bowl, Hash Side, and Maple Bacon Caesar Salad -- all wonderful! Our server Cam was absolutely wonderful! She was training while we were enjoying our meal, and she did so gracefully and tactfully while serving us so sweetly and well all the whole. She had great suggestions as well! Thank you Cam!

We ate at Milk and Honey for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful meal and experience. We ate at the bar which we usually prefer and their bar is very large with lots of seating. Our bar tender was named Cam and she was delightful with just the right amount of service when needed. The gumbo was the best we’ve ever had. The Cajun pasta with blackened chicken was superb. I’m from the south and love southern biscuits and theirs are to die for. I even got an order to go:) We topped off the meal with the peach cobbler and some ice cream and it was absolutely delicious. Overall we had a great experience and we will be back!

Food was good ambience was great US Bank. I felt I was a little underdressed, but my wife, for surely I was fine. I had the Biscoff waffles with the chicken thighs. Very good. I wanted another waffle when I was done my wife had the salmon with the asparagus and a Biscoff martini which she enjoyed very much We had the fried deviled eggs, which were immaculate. I will be back.

Real nice atmosphere and great service. The chicken wing appetizer was really good. The steak was fantastic and cooked perfectly. The side of candied yams were kind of bland tasting. Overall pretty good food and service and will definitely visit again.

Second time coming here and we ordered the Chicken n Biscoff waffles, the gumbo, the blackened chicken Cajun pasta and the Salmon BLT. The pasta tasted good but I wasn't a fan of the chicken that was in it. However the Chicken n waffles is the best Chicken n waffles I've ever tasted! The flavor of the gumbo was delicious! And the Salmon BLT tasted pretty good! We highly recommend coming here!

My wife and I recently visited Milk and Honey in Charlottesville, and overall, we had a pleasant experience with a few notes for next time. First impressions were strong — the restaurant is beautifully decorated, with a clean, welcoming atmosphere that instantly set the tone for a good meal. The staff was courteous, and the food presentation was excellent across the board. I ordered the chicken and waffles, opting to switch out the standard fried chicken thighs for the Honey Old Bay wings. In hindsight, I wouldn’t make that choice again. While the wings had good flavor, they lacked the crispiness I was hoping for, and the generous amount of sauce ended up soaking into the waffle. The result? A waffle that tasted more like Honey Old Bay than breakfast — not quite what I was going for. My wife had the fish sandwich with tater tots. She said the flavor was solid, but it was hard to enjoy with so much grease dripping from the sandwich. It seemed like it had just come out of the fryer without being drained properly. We also shared the biscuits as an appetizer, which were quite good and a nice start to the meal. Despite a few missteps with our dish choices, I’d definitely consider coming back. The ambiance, cleanliness, and food quality show real promise — I’d just go for a different entrée next time.

Arrived around 4:30pm. Maybe two other tables were seated. Servers took a little time to start at our table. Placed our order. Biscuits as an appetizer, two cups of salmon chowder, jerk lamb chops, Cajun pasta with shrimp & crab. The food was very tasty. The cups of salmon chowder were HUGE! Suggested areas of improvement: serve food piping hot (our entrees were warm, biscuits were luke warm) soup was piping hot but served with the entree- normally soup is served before the entree, and with some sort of crackers or bread. Refine the pacing of service. It was painfully slow! Entrees took over 25 min from ordering to arrive at the table- I will chalk that up to cooking the lamb chops? (In that 25 min window the soup should have been served) we waited close to 10 minutes after finishing the meal and having our plates cleared for the Assist. Mgr. to come around and ask us if we wanted dessert. I wanted dessert but wasn’t willing to wait another 10? Min for it to arrive. Had already been there for 1.5 hrs. At that time our servers showed up with the bill after being MIA (2-3 other tables were sat after we ordered) First few minutes in restaurant noticed a pleasant smell, wasn’t sure if it was the servers perfume or air freshener in the restaurant. After 10 minutes it started smelling more like some type of cleaning solution. Not sure what it was but maybe needs to be checked into as well. All the employees including our servers were very nice, food was delicious. Next time we visit we will be praying for faster service.

This place is nice inside and there are some good items on the menu. Some food was yummy, some was just okay. We weren’t super happy about what we got for the prices we paid. The asparagus in particular was laughable, they served us a plate with 6 pieces of asparagus for $8. Probably won’t come back. Staff were kind though.

The food was ok.. we got chicken and waffles and mac n cheese.. the waffles was alil to sweet but the chicken was good.. mac n cheese was ok..Definitely pricey!

We started with the Honey Old Bay Wings, the highlight of the meal. That said, they leaned a bit too sweet for my taste; I was hoping for more of a kick from the Old Bay seasoning. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp itself was cooked perfectly, but overall, it wasn’t a standout dish for me. Now, what really threw us off was the water situation. My friend ordered still water, and I got sparkling. I expected to pay for the sparkling, but we were both charged—$9 for mine and $8 for the still. They brought out two full-sized bottles, one each, without mentioning the size or cost. The sparkling water couldn’t even be capped, so we either had to finish it all or let it go to waste. Had we known, we could have easily shared one bottle or buy an actual drink. For a restaurant to charge for still water without offering an alternative, or at least giving a heads-up, felt excessive. I don’t think I’ve ever had to pay for water at a restaurant. We liked our server though; it was great service otherwise.

Milk & Honey is my favorite brunch spot; the ones in the MD area are anyway. I was so excited to try this one out. I was really disapponted! I got the traditional breakfast, I asked for cheese in my eggs, they used white cheese…so nasty. My daughter got the chicken sandwich and it was dark meat 🤮. She said the texture didn’t taste right. She took it to go but threw it away. Our waitress was nice. I will likely not return here again.
