Piacere Mio Uptown

We came to Piacere Mio for our Valentine’s Day dinner after seeing comments about how well they handled celiac and gluten-free food. I have nothing but praise for our experience. Food-wise, everything was delicious. The grilled octopus was the perfect starter followed by some delicious pasta. For dessert, I went with a tiramisu, which was splendid. Our waiter was great. He was super knowledgeable about the kitchen precautions and made us feel very safe about potential cross-contact. As to the vibe, it’s a very cute restaurant. The smaller interior makes it feel intimate without losing the charm of a nice Italian restaurant. Overall, we had a fantastic time. If you have the opportunity to come to Piacere Mio, you should take it.

What a gift it is to have such a fabulous restaurant in Uptown. The food was top notch, great service, and overall a delightful vibe. It was restaurant week and the options were extremely generous for the price. Will be back soon!

Really great addition to the uptown neighborhood! Honestly one of the better Italian places I've been to in a while. Beautiful inside, nice atmosphere, the bathrooms are really nice too! The service was very very attentive, and the space allows for that, without feeling crowded or like you don't have your own space too. The food was awesome! Got the jumbo shrimp appetizer which was delicious, and the zucchini florets. And lastly the pork chop in a Milanese style, which was delicious, and great portion sizes too. To cap it off drinks were great and pricing very fair. Really just a great Italian restaurant that doesn't try to be insanely fancy. Harkens back to what you think of in a great Italian restaurant, really nice space, atmosphere, decor, food and service without being pretentious. Great job! Looking forward to checking out patio in summer 🤙🏼

First tume here and SO happy to have this open in the neighborhood. Service was amazing - friendly and attentive - you can tell they're trying to impress. Food was solid and delicious. I was surprised by goat cheese - not my fave - in the arancini (not noted in the description), but other than that food was tasty, fresh and delicious. Don't miss the semifreddo dessert! Can wait to go back!

Great first visit last night. As good or better than every Italian in the area, certainly at the same level as Anteprima, Regalia and Munno and better than Coda di Volpe and Bar Roma. Highlights included the fried squash blossoms and grilled octopus, the former with a delicious red sauce with a touch of spice and the second with an outstanding guajillo pepper sauce that was good enough to eat alone. Entrees were grilled branzino with lemon and goldenberries, which was truly excellent, and short rib stuffed ravioli in a mushroom cream sauce, which was a very good rendition of the dish. Dessert was an excellent creme brulee with a perfect level of sweetness, not cloying at all. Wine list was very solid from the wines we tasted, with the Barbera a standout. Decor is pretty much standard Italian restaurant, and the dim lighting makes it a good choice for a romantic meal / date. Service was outstanding throughout. The owner was previously at Piccolo Sogno so expect this to be a very hot ticket once the patio opens in the spring. Overall a solid A in their third day of operation, which is a credit to the team. Excited to get back and dive deeper into the menu.

What a nice addition to the Uptown food scene. Atmosphere was nice and chill. Food was delicious and well prepared. Service was good but feel like they're still getting used to a busier crowd. Plates were slow to be removed but that was really the only issue. Overall an excellent experience and exciting to have a good Italian place in the neighborhood.

We had a delightful dinner at Piacere Mio. The food was top notch and the service attentive. It happened we made a reservation for opening night (we learned when we arrived). There were no visible opening night snafu, though. We're already looking forward to a return trip. This is a great addition to the Sheridan Park section of Uptown!

Celebrated my birthday here at the beginning of January and they took excellent care of us. Food and service was wonderful! Definitely will be going back this is a place that Uptown needed.

Piacere Mio is such a delight to have in Uptown. Food was amazing, our server was fantastic. Everything came out quickly and tastes great. Excited to sit on the patio when the weather gets warm.

Beyond thrilled to have an Italian restaurant within walking distance of my house. The food and service were excellent, and the time they spent creating a warm and inviting interior and atmosphere is evident. My wife and I got two different kinds of pasta and both were delicious, and even an off-menu Negroni was one of the best I have had in Chicago. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Piacere Mio is the real deal; service is on point, food is expertly prepared, and the wine list is fantastic. The owner and servers are very attentive and the atmosphere of my meal was cozy and comfortable. I’m so happy with this new addition to the neighborhood!

Just stumbled across this gem of a neighborhood find. The 4 of us LOVED the zucchini blossom appetizer, along with a fantastic arugula salad and lobster bisque. Don't miss the medallions of beef, meatballs or the fusilli pasta. The tiramisu was the perfect way to end the dinner. Will be back for sure!

Great time tonight at Piacere Mio. My dirty martini was strong, the free bread and digestifs were above average and everything we ordered was delicious. We were shocked when the bill was less than expected because it felt so much more upscale. Will be back for sure.

My husband and I live close by and have been to Piacere Mio twice since they've opened. We came away both times so impressed! The service is impeccable, the food absolutely delicious (highlights for me were the pesto trofie and funghi risotto), and the menu of dessert 'cellos (limoncello, coffee-cello, and pistachio-cello) incredibly flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. We look forward to making this our go-to date night spot!

Such a wonderful experience! The risotto and rigatoni rustica were outstanding, as was the service. Ask about their homemade pistachiello because that was one of the most delicious shots I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu; thank you Antonio!

I’m so happy to have such great Italian food in Uptown! I had the calamari and bolognese pasta- both among the best I’ve had in Chicago.

Piacere Mio is a home run. We visited last evening during their fourth week after opening, and it is already running like a well-tuned machine. The burrata caprese with heirloom tomatoes was fresh and delicious, and the saltimbocca was the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is date-night worthy. An enormously worthwhile addition to Uptown - go!

one of the best restaurants I have been to in Chicago. We went there for restaurant week, they had a fantastic menu with lots of options, fantastic quality and price. It is a small cozy restaurant, service was quick, and the food was spectacular. I had the lobster bisque (a bit salty to my taste but amazing flavor), grilled branzino (best i’ve had) and delicious tiramisu. Very happy and can’t wait to visit again to explore the rest of the menu!

I’ve long awaited Piacere Mio’s opening and it exceeded my expectations! It is a great new addition to Uptown. The food is delicious and the service was impeccable. We spoke with several members of the team as they came by to check in on us. I’m so glad that they chose Uptown as their new spot. All of the pastas were excellent and the desserts were delicious.

I'll explore the menu more my next time here because the service and atmosphere definitely make me want to come back and try more offerings. I had the tuna special which was definitely substantial and flavorful; more of a hit in the head rather than a nuanced tap/pat. If everything is as bold as my dish was, I may need to drink more of their vodka martinis. If they can moderate the pepper (overheard someone else saying what I was thinking) then they will be golden! Worth a visit for sure, making the restaurant a staple in my lineup will depend on my next three visits.

A little cramped but overall a great place for dinner. The soup was amazing and the mussels were sexy. Would come again just to try the sold out crab cake

Ordered cavatelli pugliese through uber pickup. Ordered cavatelli 🤌 but they gave me orecchiette 🤌🤌?? Also understand takeout is not main strategy so no plasticware available; tutto finisce a tarallucci e vino, i ate it like a dog. The mystery meat was soo yummy🤌. Crew inside is welcoming, friendly, professional, rivalling what'd expect from a private country club and the chef in the back be COOOKING 🙏 Lovely place that seems to be steadily busy around the clock and consistantly open. Definitely a welcome landmark to the uptown area and id recommend people bring em business because truly best option among the area and leagues ahead of the old news that used to fill these shopfronts. Review stars off because pasta.. Maybe rerate after next time!
