Meet Fresh in Chino Hills offers Taiwanese desserts, with taro balls being a popular choice. While some appreciate the late hours and familiar flavors, others report inconsistent service, cleanliness issues, and early closing times. Portion sizes and broken kiosks are also concerns.

As of right now, they are not allowing customers to dine in. They offer take out only. There are tables available outside for customers to use but make sure to clean up after yourself when you leave. You can order online to have items delivered to you via a food delivery service. You can place an order with the cashier or you can use one of the two self order kiosks. They have hand sanitizer available at the register. They have a thick piece of glass that separates you from the cashier when you are ordering at the register. They have a two way speaker microphone setup that allows you and the cashier to communicate through the thick glass barrier without any problems. At the beginning of your order, they ask you for your phone number so that they can text you when your order is ready. You cannot wait for your order in the store. You are asked to wait outside while they are preparing your order. They have a variety of toppings for you to customize your items. I really enjoy their grass jelly desserts. You get the same great taste as you would at the Meet Fresh locations in Taiwan.
Dear Reader, If you are reading this, contemplating what to get while scrolling through their endless menu, stop and get the Q Mochi & Pudding Shaved Ice. It's literally the only thing I get whenever I go to a Meet Fresh. Eating this shaved ice is like going on a sweet, squishy, and soft dessert journey. I think there are seven different toppings on this shaved ice. So. many. toppings. The interior is also very nice. There are plenty of seats and if you're trying to study, the booths have outlets as well. Your random Yelp reviewer, Daniel K
Very clean, quiet place and attentive service. A varied menu of asian teas, beverages -- both hot and cold. The tofu pudding, boba and black sugar dish was delish! Just as I recall from my childhood days. Their portions were generous. Will be a repeat customer for sure
Many options to choose from and helpful staff! Also very spacious and clean inside (: I appreciate that it closes relatively late, good for late night snack/boba runs with friends
Love their signature jelly with taro and sweet potato balls. Went there in the afternoon 3pm service was fast.
They are so cool for staying open pretty late and the delishious place so good yummy! Also they are Soo cool and the statues are fun and the tables are cool, bring all of your friends here NOW
So many mixed reviews! Came around 4:45 PM and was expecting the worst after reading so many reviews about bad service—but my experience was neutral. It was pretty empty, and I was able to order quickly from the tablet with no issues. The girl working the counter was kind and quick. I got the green tea float with less ice (since there’s already ice cream inside). Smooth, not overly sweet, and just what I wanted.
For most of all desert, you may better dine in and ask with free extra ice to balance all sweet stuff. for Original Waffle, it make with less eggs and some hollow inside, it also let taste not strong enough. You better order with some stuff.
Finally a location that is opened nearby! Been having to visit these Taiwanese desert chains, only by driving over 30 min to Rowland Heights, or to San Gabriel. If you want to eat or drink any Taiwanese desserts, hot or cold, this is the place to go. They have a self serve area, or you can order with someone and ask any questions you may have. I was told that you could also place an order online and just pick up. Dessert I’ve tried many different items but I can recommend some to try! Wintermelon Tea- this is like the traditional wintermelon tea but it has like a roasted kind of taste to it. Pretty refreshing and not too sweet! Red Bean Milk Shaved Ice - If you love shaved ice, it’s a pretty good well mixed item. Problem with other places I have tried is that you end up eating just ice and the condensed milk is not really covered in all the areas, but they do a great job with this. This was my first time trying a shaved ice togo, but I would actually do it again, until we are all out of this pandemic. Black Sugar Boba Fresh Milk - this is pretty good if you like the “half and half” style fresh milk with boba kind of drink. I just think there was a bit too much boba ratio to the drink, but overall it was pretty good. Again, me and my family are happy this place finally opened, and I believe it is such a great location. Even the inside is spacious and looks real nice. Really can’t wait to be able to actually dine in, in the future, but for now togo is fine. Until next time!

Taiwanese dessert joint. We landed here by mistake. I was craving cold stone ice cream, but there wasn't anywhere to sit, so we ended up here; it was a beautiful encounter. We ordered Q mochi milk shaved ice cream. They also provide you with individual cups and spoons because this ice cream is shareable. They are newly opened, and the ambience is pleasant. You can also check out their menu online.
Driving shaved ice desserts and drinks. Nice space but could not find all menu items on POS machine. Had to order twice. Even though I specified dine in, they gave it all to go.
After dinner, we'd felt like there were still some rooms for dessert, so my friend said, let's go to Meet Fresh! I was surprised because I didn't know they had another branch in Los Angeles and of course, my friend's eyes just went up which meant, of course, this is LA, there are a ton of Asian Communities, don't you know?) Meet Fresh in LA differed from NY. Here, it's a lot larger space, fewer workers. Anyway, it was a dessert shop, so let's talk about our order. We had almond soup with Taro balls, Red beans, Sweet potato balls. Almond soup was a great choice, not too light nor too thick and Taro balls with Sweet potato balls were soft, juicy, and tasty. It's a great combination. It's not the best in the world but it's worth to try! IG: Director_eat_out #director_eat_out
Staff was friendly and inside was spacious. The dessert we tried was pretty good. They had an opportunity to receive a free drink if you left a Yelp review. I don’t use yelp, but could be advantageous for someone else.
I like Taro 👍, and the taro balls are chewy. I come from Taiwan. Although Meet Fresh remained one or two stores in my country But I think that desserts are 100% the same flavor as Taiwan. I recommend that the store use the detailed menu on the cash counter. I see the simple menu on a monitor and the detailed menu shown in the other places. Overall, I will back again.
Not so busy at this location compare to the one in Hacienda Heights. We ordered Milk Tea with Red bean / Boba and a Black Sugar Fresh milk with Boba, and Finally a Double Chocolate Chips Waffle. Waited just a little over 5 min, our number was called. Taste and flavor as expected, not too sweet and you could taste the freshness. One thing though, the Black sugar Freshmilk came out warm for a cold drink and all ice melted.

They were out of coconut milk, so I couldn't try either of their two summer specials. Ended up ordering the fluffy mini taro ball winter melon tea with less ice and half sugar ($7.25) and splitting the medium size pudding and q mochi milk shaved ice ($11.50) with my friend. I was super jazzed that they were cool with using my reusable tumbler for my drink, yay! The drink was refreshing and didn't taste too sweet. Even though I'm partial to boba, having the mini taro balls gave the drink a nice contrast with its chewy texture. The medium size shaved ice is perfect for two people. The pudding and q mochi milk shaved ice had all the toppings I like: almond pudding, caramel pudding, mini q, q mochi, melon jelly, ice cream, and condensed milk! Plenty of indoor seating available at this Chino Hills location with a few tables outside. Also plenty of parking in the plaza.

First time being here. The interior is clean and nice. This place reminded me of being In Taiwan. Their menu has a lot of variety and are affordable. I was after for is the black sugar bobba, which is just par level to the other black sugar milk teas I tasted. There is a self service kiosk where you can order rather wait in line for a personnel. Service is fast
I would have given higher stars because I think their Mango Shaved Ice is delicious. However instead of helping customers their workers are on their phones and not paying attention and maybe they should clean the windows on that plexi glass cause it’s real dirty.
My daughter asked me to buy her some pork fried rice here....she meant to say crispy pork plate with white rice...the food ended up being really good for her....but the language barrier was disappointing....they treated me like she had no idea what I was talking about and kept walking away from me and really really made me feel unwelcome....I go here for my daughter but I can do without it.
This particular Meet Fresh served acceptable Taiwanese treats compared to the one we went to the last time, the place was clean, but the young man who took our order didn’t appear to like his job a whole lot.
1st visiting here. So many options. Got some turo bowl. It's rice mochi, jelly, actual turo, ice cream. It's pretty amazing. Will satisfy your sweet tooth. Also got the red bean waffle. It's okay, could be better. It's a bit pricey for the portion. Fews thing I didn't like was order # are 5 digits, the girl that shout out your order wasnt loud enough. She leave my order on the counter and left. No body follow up on the order. After a few minutes I went up to see if that was my order. It was. Oh well, they all look like young adults.

Their product didn’t even meet the picture a little… it just comes to our table like this…I understand Sometimes picture is just imagination. And they didn’t give us milk when it comes to our table, according to the picture there should be a layer of milk on the top. Then we have to ask for it, they just gave us two little bottles of coffee milk and told us to help ourselves… how ridiculous
No wonder they don't have a good review here. They close at 11pm and start kicking people out at 10:30pm by turning off lights, flipping all the chairs, and throwing whatever kitchen stuff loudly in front of all tables of customers. Since we are not welcomed here. We will never come back. Apparently these boys hate their jobs.
rushed to this desert place and got there at 10:30. last call was 10:45, closes at 11? they locked the doors and didnt let us in. workers completely ignored us

Got a Red Bean Soup Signature today, so disappointed! Inside the soup, there’s not much things in it. Wondering if this is the employee training issue or just the style of this store is like that? Always went to the one in HH. before this store open in CH. and never gave this sort of disappointment
Got there today (12/3/20205) at 12pm and they're not even open yet? I see a person working but he said they still need time to open.
This place is rude and unprofessional. They ask you to use the kiosk when you try to order at the counter. Why can’t they just place the order for you? The menu on the kiosk I s not updated, each customer is lining up spending 10 mins finding their order and ends up not on the kiosk. We still had to order with a person still. Such a bad experience.
Meet Fresh usually is good but this one… DISGUSTING AND DISAPPOINTING I ordered a FRESH milk tea and then the milk tea tasted so fake and no sugar at all. My mom ordered some tofu pudding with some shaved ice… the syrup looking water merited the shaved ice in 30 seconds before my mom got to eat. They finished our order in 1 min…
This was possibly the worst dessert experience. The hot tea was room temperature and the tea seemed to be old. The pudding we ordered was flavorless i really wish I would have read the reviews about this place before we went here.
Hands down the dirtiest meet fresh ever. Tables and floors are not clean. The restroom is gross. How is this place passing any health inspection? If it’s bad in the front, its hard to trust the cleanliness of the back. Our dessert came out fine. I hope we don't get sick from it.
They close at 10, me and my friends arrived there around 930 and they had locked the door despite there being customers still and did not let us enter. I thought this was really rude as the worker didnt even communicate with us just shut us out. Especially when most places do last call at 9:45. There is no way they are allowed to close a little over 30 minutes early. Extremely unprofessional
I came all the way here for dessert. I arrived at 9:30 pm, and the store closes at 10 pm. There was nothing left to order except grass jelly. If you don’t plan to serve customers until your stated closing time, please update your opening hours instead of letting people come for nothing.
Went to this location since it closes at 11pm. Ordered 2 tofu puddings for pick up and took it home. Both tasted sour, so gross!!! It went bad. Why would they serve this?
We drove from very far to this location because on Google it shows they are open till 11pm on Friday. We get here at 10:48pm and the doors were open! The guy cones out and says they are closed. It sucks that they close before closing time! Never coming back to this location.
The staffs dress unprofessional, one of the staff is extremely RUDE, he gave us the side eyes and disrespectful attitude when we tried to order the food. After when we left the store, the staff keep the side eyes to us. This store is lack of employees manner and training, it needs to improve a lot. WORSE experience ever.
Terrible dessert and customer service EVER! This is the second time that something I ordered was MISSING ! The first time I ordered a lot, including drinks, ice taro balls and mochi platter and extra pudding. When I found out that the pudding was missing, I called the store two times but no one answered. Then I tried to find other contact information on the website but as expected, nothing! This time I thought of giving them another chance. When I entered the store, the loud music was blaring. I didn't even know if I entered a dessert store or a club? Then as expected, they forgot the extra toppings I paid for AGAIN, and the red beans were not cooked enough. As a well-known local dessert store in Taiwan, I think you guys should do a better job of management (quality of your dessert and staff). Such a simple and classic dessert option should not be done so badly like this. The whole store is obviously lacking in management!
We’ve been coming to this location for three years and I must say, the quality of service and dessert has really declined over time. Today is probably one of the worst quality dessert we’ve gotten. The place was not that busy at all, yet our order was wrong (we were given the wrong type of tea, and one of the teas had a missing topping), and on top of that, the boba was so undercooked that it was impossible to chew and we had to throw them away. Wish management will see this and do something about their incompetent staff, and the lack of training and supervision.
First time here and definitely my last. Front staff are all kids with no professionalism nor work ethic. The place was loud with staff yelling over the blaring music, and teenagers walking in and out behind the counter as if it were their kitchen. The tables were a mess and staff did not seem to care for keeping a clean space. $13 for ice and syrup not worth it.
Came to Meet Fresh in Chino Hills and honestly, I think the name should be changed to “Meet Broke.” Portions are so tiny I thought they were serving samples at Costco—but nope, full price. The place was empty, the kiosk machine is broken, except for the waiter who looked like an extra from The Walking Dead. Zero energy, zero attitude, 100% zombie vibes. I chose dine-in but somehow still got a to-go box Never again.
It’s unacceptable that they refused to take any orders except drinks at 9:34 p.m., when last call isn’t until 9:45p.m.. This is the worst service experience I’ve ever had. Another couple was also turned away by the two lazy workers. The management team need to do something about this. They’re destroying your business.
Worst experience I’ve had with Meet Fresh. Last time I ordered was about 8 months ago, and I had no complaints then. Desserts were good, and the family was happy eating traditional Taiwanese shaved ice. This time though was different. $10 for red bean soup with taro balls, boba, and red beans. Boba wasn’t ready at the time, so they offered to replace with any topping, which was fine. The red bean soup you could count how many taro balls are in it with both hands. Theres also hardly an red beans in the red bean soup as well! So for $10 I got 9 taro balls, and watered down red bean soup. I called back and although they offered to refund for my dissatisfaction, they said that the amount of taro balls was a fixed serving, and if we would order it again next time, the amount would still be the same. However, my son who got the grass jelly icy desert had nearly twice the amount of taro balls that I had in my red bean soup. Never again.
I was really disappointed with my visit here. I found a piece of metal wire in my drink. This is a serious safety concern. The drink was tasty, but discovering something like that made me lose trust in their quality control. I hope the store can address this issue to ensure better safety for customers in the future.
This Meet Fresh is truly so stingy, I had to pay almost $11 for a small bowl. Also, I ordered through self checkout to chose dine in, but received it in a to go box. I realized that none of the dishes were washed, which was why. Regardless, the portion size was utterly disappointing. Also, the ice that came with the icy taro ball combo was not like shaved ice (which is what it should be). Overall, it was MID-AF. The employees also do not tie their hair up, which is a requirement for anyone with a food handler’s certificate. Either way, if you want to go to a good MeetFresh, go to Irvine!

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We called at 9:41 p.m. to ask about closing time and were informed they would close at 11:00 p.m. We drove over 20 minutes to arrive at 10:19 p.m., only to be told the business was already closed. Better communication and management are clearly needed.
Just when in an October 31, they close at 11…I walked in at 10:30. Some boy funny hair in SHORTS side added me and then started slamming chairs on top of the tables…never thought he was an employee. Maybe the owners son or something because he was is obviously doing whatever he wants. Worst customer service in my life. Some other boy took my order. Boy funny hair made my order and never told me it was ready…I had to ask and when I did ask he acted very stupid about it. Smh. This place needs better employees that aren’t their relatives or dress in gym shorts. And treat customers the right way. Won’t be coming back and I don’t recommend at all.
