Golden Corral should get no hate. Taste just as good as it use to when I was a kid. Remember to bring cash to tip the servers they work hard they deserve it.

Food is mild at best(its a buffet so not many complaints) service is good even though there’s not much to serve overall I would recommend

We had a repass there. It was awesome reasonable pricing all the food we can eat no cleanup. All we have to do is tipped the waiter.

This is my favorite buffet, I usually go to the one in Bolingbrook or Joliet, I know there are more in other places but my reviews are for those only since I don’t know the other ones, I like the variety of food, my favorite is the meat, I like it well done but is nothing hard to eat, also the dessert specifically the strawberry with chocolate and the ice cream is so good. I really recommend this place, I always enjoy going there.

Great variety of food for the price. You’ve got everything from salads and steaks to fried chicken, mac & cheese, and desserts. Some dishes are hit or miss, but overall it’s filling and satisfying. Staff is usually friendly, and the place is family-friendly. Gets crowded on weekends, but it’s worth it if you come hungry.

Best Golden Coral I've ever been to. The food was super fresh and perfect. They have the best carrot cake (Better than the outback steakhouse carrot cake). Coffee was good (I'm picky). They serve a house blend which is better than the breakfast blend served at most pancake houses. There are some no-sugar desert options (They aren't clearly marked as such but the calorie count is a big clue and the staff is able to advise). The steak (dinner only) is seasoned to pair with their steak sauce (A1 style with raisins, it's good sauce). I prefer a montreal type seasoning (that doesn't need steak sauce) but the steak itself was good quality and cooked correctly. The staff can get a bit busy which is annoying when you'd like to request a cup of coffee or drink refill. I'll be buying the 32 oz drink instead of the 16oz from now on for that reason. The salad bar is good. Fresh Romain and ingredients. Not I didn't see a vinegrette available which was disappointing but their Italian dressing was very good. Their fried shrimp and roasted pork are awesome. Pot roast and pork chops was good. I suspect it was an off day, but the carrot cake on my 2nd visit was super salty. The staff removed it after my sister talked to the manager. I suspect they get it made somewhere else and delivered to the store. The staff listened and checked on it at least instead of ignoring things. It's a popular place and can be crowded but the line to get in wasn't too long on a Monday at 4pm. Went twice and the food was super fresh both times. The only complaint is not having my own access to drinks and then having to tip for service that should really be self serve. The hot coffee I could see as a legal issue, but that's annoying. Overall if you are on the fence, go for it. If you get good table service, tip your table.

Because of this one staff member, our experience was like sitting in our grandmothers dinning room. Shanny tended to us like nothing less than the best. She checked on us quite often and didn't mind. the entire time our family was able to celibate a re- connect on so many levels. Our next visit were gonna make sure she's there.......

Went Here For Fathers Day With The Family Enjoyed Are Self Didn't Wait Long Like Other Golden Corral Location This One Here Is Worth Visiting. Food Was Good Service At The Table Was on point She Made Sure We Where Good And Came To Take Eatin Plates Off The Table And Soda Refills. I went to Golden Corral for A birthday It was nice and the food was great and it was so much from fresh salads and soups to steaks and fried catfish and fried shrimp, Nacho with all the fixings jumbo hotdogs, thick burgers slider size, some very good fried chicken plenty of vegetables. All kinds of cakes and pies and ther dessert. ice cream with topping galore. It was so much food I can't name it all. They even sing happy birthday for you if you let them know it's someone Birthday.

Officially the FIRST review for this actual location in Cicero, IL. Today, May 17 was the first day of operation. There was a long line to enter and surprisingly the line moved quickly. Staff was well prepared for the opening, no food missing everything was restocked fast. It was a full house at opening. As expected everything is New. But food was good and service as well. Let’s hope it stays clean and efficient as it was today. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Prices have NOT double since Covid-19 my lunch price was $9.99 plus drink. Which is in line with pre Covid prices.

Had a great time ! It was just as i imagined, tons of food, clean, delicious! My wife keeps kosher so she cant eat there, she just came with me and they trusted her just sit with me without pay as she dosnt eat. Very nice of them ! Thank you i will come back again for sure ! Pay was 17$ and drink like 3$

My son decided he wanted to come here to celebrate his 10th birthday. Since he could eat a little bit of everything, he said he loves the steak.

I've been to the other Golden corrals and none of them even come close to the quality of food you get from these guys!! They are speedy, friendly, and the quality of the food is excellent and if it's not just let management know and they will get it done and fixed with such great customer service. For a Buffett this is the place to go!!!

My friend and I went to this resturant for Lunch. We had a great time. To enjoy my food I was careful to take teaspoon full of whatever I wanted. Then I could have one of their great deserts, fruit and salad! We had a great time. It was a tuesday morning. We got our senior discount. We had fun! Service was very good as well! Food pretty good for buffet can't complain I love area and it's always fresher food coming out. The chef on steaks do good job. Food not high quality but it's worth the price and tasty. Who doesn't love a good buffet? Menu changes throughout the day to accommodate breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Take a few bucks to tip your server and come with an empty stomach. Expect to pay 16.00-18.00 per adult.

The steaks are so good they will make a how are you wanted and the staff always make sure that the utensils that we use are always clean and before we get are food the stuff kindly ask us too put gloves on to protect the other people and all of the staff are all was wearing there mask on at all time. The food was great and most of the servers are wonderful but once in a while you get one that doesn't come by enough. Also as far as atmosphere it was very cold in there way too cold and we asked them to take care of it so it wouldn't be so cold and they said they would, but they never did. I understand that the workers are hot; especially the ones cooking,, but it was just too much air condition, so bring a sweater, jacket, hoodie, or coat cut you're going to need it.

This is a new Golden Corral in Cicero. They open at 11:00 and people were waiting in line to get in. The food was good, and they had a good variety. I suggest that you take small portions of food so it doesn't get cold.

I came on Valentines day with my husband and this was perfect for our date night there. The food was fresh and the tables were kept clean. The only thing that I didn't like is how the drink station is when you walk in. It was a bit chaotic because Noone knew where to walk. That was my only complaint. Also I wanted to end on a good note that the employees are rock stars. I appreciate each one of you.

Paid $34 on Easter for adult entry and an extra large soda drink. Food was good. I really enjoyed the macaroni and cheese and the meatloaf. Everything was reminiscent of what you’d buy in the frozen meal section of Walmart. Employees were great, very friendly, tables were cleaned when we got in. The staff here worked so hard on Easter to make everyone’s visit good. Don’t forget to tip the bus boys/girls!

Way less options than i anticipated, however the rotation was on point. Fresh food coming out consistently. My first time here & i had a good experience. Your regular school lunch/comfort dishes. The selections were nice. It's what you would expect from a buffet. The salad was the star of the show. If you like salad, this is tge place. I had tuna salad, broccoli salad, seafood salad and a garden salad. Everything was fresh and delicious 😋. The yeast dinner rolls were perfect with my salads 🥗.

My daughter and I are here yesterday. The food was great, Miguel was great, however, I lost my straw for my drink and had to as Miguel for another one. In the meantime, I took a sip of Sprite directly from the glass The glass smelled of mold and mildew. I asked Miguel for another glass, same thing. I don't think they are sanitizing their dishwasher or letting the moisture air out. Either way, we couldn't drink our drinks. I should have asked for a refund because those drinks were not cheap. Additionally, I'm a 70 year old senior and the young lady who rung us up should have informed me they have a seniors discount. This was our first time going there so we didn't know. I've been doing some reading about them since. I should be refunded the difference. The restaurant was fine, but something needs to be done about the germs the dishwasher is spreading. And I do want some compensation for the inconvenience. My daughter doesn't like to be embarrassed so I did not make a "Big Stink" over it in her presence. Please dry out and sanitize your dishwasher.

Also the fried food kept running out never got the chance to try the chicken wings . The improvement during the past two years has been good enough to get the four stars. The food it is prepared carefully and in good level of standards as far as I could see. They improved also the ways customer’s children move inside of the place (it used to be a lot of kids just running around), now there is a small sign, but yes, inviting customers to be cautious with children. This is not a playground and dishes with hot food may cause undesirable accidents. So, one point up.! On the other hand. The guy who was attending the grill, was attentive and savvy regarding the meat cooking process. So, another point up. With that being said, atmosphere got good points of improvement. The good ones to definitely get a recommendation to be there and enjoy a nice brunch or dinner. The Con?: well, as usual in places where lots of customers are in and out: service is a bit down. But don’t get confused about all people in general. I’m talking the people who host the entrance, a lady who, evidently needs more training about customer service and how to manage her attitude. And when trying to get a manager to give suggestions, well, I’ve found the same attitude or even worse. So I concluded: my experience on their not-so-good attitude comes from a rigid micromanagement rude style. Fortunately, none of those were serving on my table. By the way, the ladies with uniform who in fact were the ones doing the refill or removing the used dishes, were pretty much the one who rescued the rating of good service. I do recommend this place but be a bit patient with the hosts and manager. Other than that you may enjoy variety and flavor. Please do no forget to give a like if this is useful to yourself.

First time visiting this location. It was during the week at around 1-2pm. Extremely busy. I'm not sure if this is a daily opportunity but the kitchen staff couldn't keep up with the amount of people eating. Food trays were empty, the dessert table had nothing... it wasn't a satisfying experience. Prices i believe went up by $1-$2. From last year. I Had some coffee... for $3+... and it wasn't even fresh.

The food was good. It's just my first time going to the place that was a little jarring. I've never been to a place that lets you get drinks first before truly entering the restaurant. That's a little confusing. Other than that, the fried chicken, banana pudding, and bread pudding are great. Southern food is always great, though.

The food is delicious but should have bigger plates. The prices are too expensive and should allow take home food and refills on beverages.

Haven't been here since I was a kid. I had some fond memories of the chocolate fountain. Now that I'm fully conscious, this food is atrocious. Everything was bland and like eating tissue and cardboard. The dessert was inedible. I couldn't believe it. That's the end of the memories with this place. No pictures are even necessary for this.

The server I had was great I will give her her props there. But the Hispanic heavy set lady in the salad area had a very nasty attitude. I asked the younger lady about strawberries and peaches and she was kind and said one moment while she ask the elder heavy set lady and she started yelling at me in the baker not here and I'm like whoa that's not what I asked I asked where the strawberries over there she yelled again and I said are u serious I have my kid with me are u not speaking English or are you slow. I should have complained to the manager but place was busy which was expected due to the holiday. They over charged more money just because it's Valentine's day but nothing extra came with it no pizza or nothing for the kids this was a waste of 80.00$ I did tip my waiter thou she deserved it. Other than that they need another worker in the salad and fruit area.

Over priced for just one person 31$ not to mention the heat that comes out of that one grill area. I’m sorry but there are a small amount of sections and food options I’ve gone to other buffets with more food booths and the wait line is crazyyyy!!! Please do not waste your time or money 64 for 3 people as well also not to mention the person in the register gave me sassy energy because I was 99 cents short like dam you that money hungry for 1$? One thing is saying in a kindly manner and another thing is rushing someone with a moody attitude

Let me start be saying that this Golden Corral doesn't seem to really wan to maximize profit.. the hours of operation are so strange. They close much earlier than the public demands, especially on weekends. Not sure why they wouldn't shift hours to accommodate starting open until at least 8 pm. Anyway.. it's a buffet. What do you really expect the food quality to be? It's edible and the best food is always what's come out most recently. Steaks are made on demand from cheap cuts, but at $15-20 per adult, it's a solid deal. Kids under 12 eat free, which is a super valuable note for families in this economy. It will get the job done when you don't want a Chinese food buffet. American buffets are a dying breed in the Midwest, so appreciate Golden Corral still sticking around

Wait lines way too long. Staff limited the quantity of each item to 1 per person. Didn't think this is how a buffet is ran? Thought they were all you can eat but I did see young adults adhering to "All you can waste". Don't Waste your time.

Went today 4/12/25 before 10am. It was busy for a weekend morning. Chose our table then waited for someone to greet us at the table and when no one came, we went up to grab some food. There wasnt alot to choose from for breakfast since the lunch items took most of the space up. After 25mins there still wasnt anyone to ask us if we needed drinks or clear the plates.

I am writing to share feedback about my recent visit to your establishment. Unfortunately, our first experience was quite disappointing. During our visit, an employee named Brad approached my child and I, my child was serving herself and I was right next to her. Brad began raising his voice, questioning her age. I was unaware of any policy regarding children serving themselves, and I fully understand the importance of such rules. However, I found Brad’s approach to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and unnecessarily confrontational. This incident was not only embarrassing, as other guests were watching, but also made my child feel uncomfortable and hesitant to enjoy the rest of her meal. I brought this issue to the attention of the management, who responded by saying they would look into the situation. Unfortunately, I never received any follow-up or resolution, which added to our disappointment. I would like to acknowledge the rest of the staff, who were very attentive, and I appreciate the kindness of another team member who apologized for Brad’s behavior. However, this single negative encounter significantly affected our experience. Very disappointing!!

Food and service was terrible here, food safety, sanitation, and cross contamination issues abound here, I have eaten here 4 times since they opened and got severe diarrhea 3 out of 4 times, so I am certain this food has been making me sick, on those days I got sick I only ate food from here on that day. Management is horrible and don't care. I tried to help them improve, but they are delusional and don't care. I will as a result never go to another Golden corral as long as I live. I brought the issues up to the corporate office and they didn't respond. Bad food and bad service abound here, and considering the bad attitude that mangement has, sadly things are not likely to improve here , ever, and it will continue to go down hill. Too bad because I had high hopes for this place. Prices were too cheap to be good 9.99 for all you can eat buffet seemed too good to be true. Prices are good here but that's about it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do your own, says the A team, be sure to get your silverware before your meal, and check it to make sure its clean!!!

We went there for a birthday/ church outing and we had a table for 6 the other 2 party goers was at the register paying there money to get in. The tall bald headed manager literally took our table and made us go back up to the register as we were going back are other members were walking towards us . He took our spot and gave to a Mexican family. We went on a Tuesday at 12:00 very disappointing and he was very rude. Even the workers said he was so mean I told him I will call corporate on him . We spend a lot of money there especially on Sunday with our church but we will not be treated that way. I don't want to think he is racist but it seems that way. I don't know his name because he didn't have on a name tag but I hope they find a more pleasant and respectful manager. Without customer there is no business. Period

The General Manager is a very nasty person who I felt harassed my children and me during our visit. He was hell bent on my 12 year old son making his plate right along side of me. He proceeded to harrass my children and I. He told me he was going to call the police which he did for no reason at all i guess he was having a bad day. Not to mention it was my 3 year olds birthday. So the police ask me to leave after i payed my money n didn't want to give me a refund. He’s just an evil person no empathy for a single mom trying juggle making my babies food. Called the police on me and had me remove because my 12 year old son was making himself a plate along side of me while his mom made his 3 smaller sibilings plate. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE HE IS VERY NASTY AN RUDE I SUGGEST DONT VISIT WHEN HE IS THERE. Never had this problem before.

Never going back. “Clean plates” were dirty with food residue. Food was okay not worth the price. Staff wasn’t helpful.

When to this location for the first time today. It was very busy when we went. They have a rule that you can’t bring any bags or backpacks of a certain size. They had signs in the door posted and security kept yelling it out. But security wasn’t allowing basically any bag, they thought was “big”. I was asked to put my mini back purse in my car or hand it over to them. They had a rack filled with peoples purses. The security then walked around several times watching people eat. In the 45 mins we were there he walked around 3 times, checking all the tables. It was so uncomfortable. So if you plan on coming here, leave your bags in the car or at home and don’t mind being watched like your a criminal while you eat. On the bright side the cooks were amazing!

First time ever eating at this place. Will never return to your facility. I got a plate food sat down took a bite out of a chicken taco was very dry when tried to swallow it was lodged in my airway. I was choking turning blue I literally could feel myself dying right there my friend screamed at me are you choking I turned looked her she said get up get up started beating me in the back wouldn't come out I tried using fingers as she was beating me finally came out. Not one other customer budged to help us worst of all not one employee offered us any help. Everyone continued eating serving like we weren't even there. Nobody came to ask if I was ok or needed anything. Nor would they allow them to take my 25$ plate of food out to the car to me. They were told No. So I paid 25$ to choke in your establishment. The thought of not one person jumping in to help me is so disgusting why bc I was white? You don't teach your staff to help people if they are in need of help. Not even a manager came out to. Heck on us. This is so wrong of your establishment to not care about others in your facility. Maybe you should . Get your staff orientated on how to help those that are choking. Be a little more considerate and let them take their food to go. I repeat this over and over in my head thanking my friend for saving my life and angry not one person offered any type help at all. Shame shame on all of you.

This is a bad place to eat at there food is not always hot dishes are not clean all the time machines don’t get clean like that pipes broken in there water is leaking from walls. They don’t know how to talk to you just a complete rip off.

Golden corral sucks now, shitty literally canned food for $20 drink not included, you cant take leftovers without being threatened with police! I saw an elderly group almost get tossed out over it. And They spent $200!! The managers are disrespectful, stingy, and they treat their employees like crap. All this could be heard and experienced in one visit. Ill never spend a cent here again. I paid $40 for a meal for two and we couldn’t even get a waitress to service us. A guy brought a Mexican young lady to our table and told us she is your waitress……this young lady walked away from us without saying a word then proceeded to service other Mexicans. We had not done anything at all to make her not want to service us💔we snapped pics of her. She looked at us as if we had no rights to be there and as if we were not worth services. I want my money back!

Location too small for the type of service they provide as a Buffett. Otherwise they would get a 5 out of 5 because the management and team are great!

Just left this establishment. Couldn't finish the food that thought I could so I had have the server send it away. I would have taken it home but I wasn't about to tack on another 10-20 bucks (two unfinished plates between two people and one finished) after already paying for two adults and a child. From a distace of two or three tables I catch the gaze of a much older man with an unfinished Mohawk. He stares for maybe 5 to 10 seconds as he saw the plates leave the table. It was like his life flashed before his eyes. My server walks in his direction, he clearly makes a comment to her, and another older man with a ponytail. I'm watching all three of them. My server returns seconds later laughing. I get it. People are always going to do things we wouldn't approve of but to be blatant and cast your thoughts about someone , who's paying, right in front them is disrespectful and stupid. I sat there deliberating speaking to the manager, the people involved and dragging this out, but my company suggested otherwise. I do my best to give those I serve the respect they deserve because they pay where I work. They pay me. It doesn't matter what I think as long they aren't disrespectful. As old as that guy is he still hasn't learned this. Thank you for your time.

The food was what you would expect from a buffet. Good but not the greatest. Service was so so. What was terrible is the way other customers would take items from the trays and put them in their mouths while serving themselves. No only that but they allowed a bunch of kids to handle items and make a mess. That was totally disgusting!! Buffets are what they are but come on there has to be some limits. I won't be visiting here again!

Subject: Disappointed with Greeting Experience at Golden Corral To whom it may concern, I’m writing to share my recent experience at your location. When my family and I arrived, the staff member who greeted us didn’t say “Welcome to Golden Corral” or offer any kind of friendly introduction. Instead, the first thing she said was a list of rules—telling us what not to do. As someone who visits this location regularly, that immediately made the experience uncomfortable. When customers walk in and spend their hard-earned money—especially families like mine—it’s important to feel welcomed before being told what not to do. A simple “Welcome, we’re glad to have you” goes a long way. Our total came to about $104 for six people, so this was not a small outing for us. I understand and respect the rules, like children not serving themselves due to age, but the tone and delivery matter. The way she addressed us set the wrong tone from the start. When I brought up my concern, she wouldn’t even make eye contact or acknowledge it, which made things worse. I was tempted to ask for a refund, but since I had my kids with me, we decided to stay and eat. I’m a loyal customer, but this visit honestly made me second-guess coming back. I may start visiting the Orland location instead if this is how guests are treated here. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Very disrespectful unprofessional and unsanitary staff was rude as well as owner .visiting here was the worst experience ever they gave me whatever they wanted to give me.after waiting for 30+ minutes for steak which is the only thing i actually eat there I ask for well done and got this explain to worker and he was the upmost rudest person ever .after getting my child’s food remade i asked for mines to b remade another hour went by and and i still didn’t receive anything .i spent my money for absolutely nothing when the server told me to just get a refund the owner told me No and that it was nothing else to do
