My boyfriend and I have been coming to this Cotton Patch for a little while now and we love everything about this place, and haven't found something not to like. The people put so nice and treat you like family, the food is always good and always right, and the feeling in the restaurant is homie. Drove an hour to check out the chicken fried bacon. It was sinfully awesome! Battered bacon with ranch or white gravy for dipping! If you like bacon, ya gotta check it out! Additionally, I had the lunch size chicken fried steak and potatoes. Very tender with a flavorful crispy batter. My wife had the catfish and shrimp and was very pleased with the generous portions. All was served with hot yeast rolls and butter! Yum! Service was great, dining and restrooms were clean, and there was ample parking. Worth the drive! I'll be back!

A total of three of us had lunch and though it was busy, the restaurant had the staff needed to ensure we were seated and served in a timely manner. The skillet cooked cornbread was fantastic along with the Texas Caviar dish. The fried shrimp was tasty as was the turkey and dressing.

Christi is a wonderful person, and is wonderful at her job. Very hospitable, kept my glass full, and never had to ask for anything. Highly recommend asking for Christi as your server.

They had one of the most best Chicken Fried steaks I've ever had in the city of Cleveland well, recommended, very spacious bathrooms was clean, the restaurants were clean and the service was amazing. I came in today for lunch with my daughter and ordered the chicken fried steak 🥩 I will say it was overcooked not tender in the slightest but broccoli was cooked to perfection and baked potato was really good. Cheeseburger and fries were really good. Our server was excellent!!!!! 🩷✌️The restaurant itself was clean. I will try again another time and just order something else.

I’ve been ordering the turkey club for a while & it’s always been excellent with lots of Turkey. Today however, I had to actually look for the Turkey to find only 1 slice of on it……not worth $13!! Not only that but I think our server left and didn’t come back until we were done eating. I had the same thing at a Cotton Patch in Corsicana last week and if it wasn’t so far, I’d go to that location instead of Cleburne!

They need a whole new crew to wait on tables. Took longer to pay the tab than it did to get the food and I never once got asked if I need a drink refill

05/08/2024 Lunch. I had the jalapeno pepper burger, and my wife had the chopped steak. We shared an order of fried green tomatoes (fgt) as an appetizer. The order of fgt was very good. Hot out of the kitchen and an unusually crunchy outer coating made for a satisfying taste. A very good appetizer minus one aspect that I'll bring up later. My wife got full on the fgt and the side salad, so she took about half of it home. I took most of the jalapeños off the burger, which left enough to flavor the burger without making it too spicy. Both entrées were about average. The service was very good, and the manager immediately removed the fgt appetizer once we told her that one of the pieces had a black, curly hair in it. We showed her the hair and she was very good about it. Otherwise, the meal was about average. Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. A special place. Very Good: Better than expected. Avg: An everyday experience. Just OK. Fair: Below par. Dirty, smelly & or flies.

On cold rainy days, my son and I like to order their chicken and dumpling here. Unfortunately, this will be the last and final time giving their dumplings a try. The “bowl” is never full, but at least the prior times it resembled a chicken dumpling. This time we received a watered down version with only one dumpling per bowl. There was only two pieces of chicken in mine and one in my son’s. I don’t know what else to say, really disappointing. Look, their other food dishes are great, my husband still loves their chicken fried steak. We just will not be attempting the chicken and dumplings again.

11-25-25 Wife and I journeyed to Cleburne on a business trip. Since we would be away from home for a few days, we decided to look around early and pick out a place for dinner when we arrived. Looking over the menu for Cotton Patch, we were excited to try the Blackened Tilapia. I got the suggested sides of mashed potatoes and green beans, while she changed her sides to fried okra and baked apples. The tilapia was a little dry and fell short on the "blackened" aspect. I didnt taste any spice to it, mostly tasted salt. The rice served under it was also under seasoned, the potatoes were a bit stiff and cold, but the gravy was good. The green beans didnt have much taste at all. Wife liked the okra, said the apples tasted as if from a can, and said her tilapia was moist, but again, had no spice. Overall, it didnt live up to expectations, and left me wishing I had not seen the menu online.

Anyone tired of begging for condiments, to only get one. You would think there's a Willy Wonka golden ticket hidden in all the condiments

First off the menu doesn't have any prices on it at all except if you want to add anything to your plate, which is kinda sketchy.. they have a sign on the table letting you know that due to covid and shortage of staff they will be adding $5 surcharge to your ticket. The waitress we had wasn't the best, didn't pay attention to the smallest details which tells you she wasn't listening. The Turkey club sandwich I ordered, turkey was very overwhelmingly salty while the tomato basil soup was very tasty.

I want to start off by saying I’m not one usually to write a review… but I just couldn’t get this bad experience off of my mind. Honestly I was very pleased with the service a fine young gentleman made the visit a bit more pleasant. My wife and I came in a bit late I know they had to almost be closing because the restaurant was desolate. The food was also nothing to complain about it was hot and flavorful. Now to my chief complaint, I guess there was a dispute between two workers. Which I get not everyone gets along, but I don’t think it was very professional to argue in front of customers! I overheard an older woman yell “He’s cussing at me call Chris!” I mean really what are you 5? She then proceeded to state that she was mad and needed to smoke a cigarette. The aroma quickly filled the restaurant it’s like she smoked it behind the counter. This is not by any means a Michelin star restaurant but I expect some professionalism or decorum in this line of work! My wife and I went in for a late dinner not a Days of our lives episode! I hope this gets taken seriously I personally do not wish to return for another episode.

If I could have given zero stars, I would have. We have ordered to-go through delivery apps several times and it is horrendous every time. Today was a prime example. We ordered a kids meal with two fruit cups, a tea, and the obligatory cookie. The fruit cup (I'm very loosely using this term; see the image attached) was a single strawberry cut into pieces. We did not receive the tea or cookie. The garlic toast was stale. We also ordered the bbq Brisket tacos and did not receive the chips, salsa, or guacamole. Basically half of our nearly twenty dollar order did not arrive. The quality control at this location is non-existent. I do not recommend ordering to-go from this location. One of the absolute worst take-out experiences I've ever had.

I was first able to try the Cotton Patch via delivery and the food was solid. I was very excited to go and try this spot in person. Went for an evening dinner and the place was about a quarter full. We were seated right away and then... That was it. Nobody came to the table, not a single staff member asked for drinks, and we sat for 15 minutes with no interaction with the staff period. Horrible experience that felt like the staff purposely did not want to serve us. Never will I go back. We walked out and went to Braum's across the street instead.

I went to get chicken fried chicken for dinner with my son. Service was terrible. We had to ask for rolls, she brought the rolls out with no plates or flatware. Then acted like we were inconveniencing her because we asked for small plates and flatware. My flatware bag only came with a fork, no knife. So,I had to ask for a knife, how else do you cut the bread & spread the butter. We got our food and the waitress never came back & checked to see how everything was. And needed refills our teas, served them (if you want to call it that) like we were dogs. Walked past and just slammed our refills on the table and kept walking. I had barely touched my dinner and my son had only eaten half of his dinner. She brought one (1) to go box, then asked if we needed another one?? We asked for a bag also at the same time, she brought the other to go box but no bag. Had to ask for the bag again and acted like we were asking too much from her. We weren't even asked if we were interested in dessert? I could understand it if the place was packed, but it was a little after 7 pm and there wasn't that many people in there. Just horrible service and the food was not that great. What a waste of time and money.

I’ve done curbside pick up several times here. I pulled into the to go parking spot, called and Shannon answered to let me know “we don’t typically bring it out, but we will do it this once.” If you have to go parking signs and I tipped 20 percent I would think you could walk my food to me without acting like it’s some huge favor.

Honestly super small portions for the cost. Especially when using Uber Eats. I ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. There was hardly any chicken and the small bits there were was in tiny pieces. On top of that they did not inside the selected avocado ranch dressing, so I would have to eat it dry, if I ate it. Which I didn’t due to the old looking lettuce on my salad. One good thing is they did add an extra egg as requested but it stops there. It’s not worth it. And made for a very sad pregnant woman that was craving Cobb salad.
