The food is on par with some of the more expensive restaurants. Sushi was fresh and full of flavor. Really hope to see this restaurant grow in the future. Big con of the visit was waiting on the food. Staff notified us it was going to be a long wait and it was. My wife and I are still willing to come back and try more of their sushi. Con: No free refills.

A Must-Try Under New Ownership! I'd always been hesitant to try this spot, but when I heard it was under new ownership, I knew I had to give it a chance. While I can't speak to the past, I can confidently say that under the new ownership, I'll absolutely be back! The family who runs it is incredibly kind, and the fish was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh, and they were generous with their cuts. They even gave us a sneak peek of an upcoming menu item: a seared salmon nigiri with crispy garlic chili oil. It was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to see what else these new owners have in store. If you've been on the fence, now's the time to give it a try!

Really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. The service, food, lighting, music, cleanliness, and overall value are all great, in my opinion. They have a unique vibe for this side of town. If you like sushi, check it out for yourself. You will not regret it.

This was a 10/10 experience! I knew I had to try this place after Chef Kevin Lee's glowing review. I was blown away by how amazing the volcano roll was! My husband ordered the spicy spicy roll and it was great, too. Already can't wait to go back; this is definitely my new sushi place!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh, and our server was both friendly and attentive. As a special treat, they offered us two pieces of smoked salmon nigiri to sample for free - a new item soon to be added to the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

such a calm and inviting place! The miso soup was the best I've ever had at a restaurant. tThe sesame chicken tempura roll was absolutely amazing, the texture, flavor, and presentation was all immaculate. would 100% recommend for a date.

Had planned a special lunch date with Hubby and sushi was a MUST!!! Found that The Hayashi was in route and decided to stop in to see what they were all about! The host was helpful and extremely nice. Was grateful to be able to utilize their restrooms as it was a bit of a drive from Dibble. The restroom was clean and welcoming. The Chefs did a fantastic job preparing our order to go even while being bombarded by another guess barking orders at the bar. They maintained their professionalism and efficiency. The staff did a phenomenal job of communicating with me throughout making sure of how my order was to be executed. Including all the things to boot. Soy sauce, chop sticks, napkins, ginger, wasabi! Upon arriving at my husband's work roughly 25 minutes away our food was plenty warm and so very fresh! Hoping to get some time off soon so that he and I are able to return for a dine in experience. 10 out of 10! HIGHLY recommend!! We SHALL most definitely be eating here again. Clearly care for their customers and it shows. Thank you for an amazing meal and overall first impression as well experience to The Hayashi!!!

Great lunch deal 2 rolls for $20 dine in only. Great portions. Nigiri pieces were amazing. New management has definitely improved since last time I been. Hoping this place gets the business it deserves.

From start to finish the experience was great. The chef was friendly and the owner was super nice, even greeted us to make sure our experience was going well. The waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything. The food was even better, recommend the hot summer, just a bit of spice to make it oober nice. Will definitely be returning

This is an absolutely delicious restaurant! We’ve been in a few times, but recently saw it was under new ownership. The owner, Peter, was our server and his uncle was our sushi chef. We got two Crunch Rolls and one Poke Roll- both were delightful and tastes so fresh! I will be back and look forward to trying new rolls each time.
