Good selection of sushi rolls. I refreshing yet light one is the Lafayette roll. Has no rice. Instead it's made with thinly sliced cucumber. Wish I took a picture before I ate it. Plating of the sushi rolls was nice.

One of my favorite places to go. Casual and boy a lot of take out. If you want to snuggle in for the evening and just have sushi by the fire this is a place to order. Otherwise you can go casual and sit at table or bar counter and enjoy delicious fresh and real crab meat. Sake beer and wine served only...

After coming here very regularly for the last year, I have to say this is my favorite sushi place around. We've gone to many in WC, PH, Lafayette etc, but this beats them all as far as quality of food, price, ambiance and service. It's bright, airy, spacious and super clean. It gets busy on a Fri/Sat night, so come early (before 6 and you can always get a table). Everything on the menu is great, but a Mt. Diablo Roll, Hamachi Sushi and a glass of Pinot Grigio is the definition of heaven to me. And they pour a very generous glass of wine!

Great sushi in a relaxed and laid-back environment with a very friendly vibe. The sushi is very good with my personal favorite being the California roll and crunchy as well as the salmon nigiri. Some other good ones are the Lafayette and lion king.

I can't believe I have lived in Lafayette for over three years and just discovered this place. In summary one of the very best Japanese restaurants I have eaten in, as good as anything I have had in Japan. Went for lunch. Started the meal with hot saki and toro sushi; outstanding, even the ginger and wasabi served with the sushi was outstanding. My wife had the sushi sampler with salad, I had the grilled miso sea bass with miso soup and rice. Everything was beautifully cooked, presented and tasted fantastic. As an added bonus, the food was served on what looked like a Japanese version of Heath pottery, nice touch. The restaurant decor is bright and tasteful. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Total cost for this amazing lunch was only $70, plus tip. Like Arnold said; "I will be back"! You may have noticed all my reviews to date on Google have been 5 star, this is deliberate. Life is too short to focus on that which does not make us happy. This is why I restrict my reviews to those things/places/services that make me happy and appreciate life. Sure, I have been to some really dreadful shops, hotels and restaurants etc., but, like I said, life is too short to spend time thinking and writing about them.

Randomly stopped on a Tuesday night before going to Trader Joe’s. About 1/2 full. Sat at the bar. Service was quick. Ordered sake and seaweed salad both came out quick. Ordered 3 rolls, also pretty quick. The spicy rolls were pretty spicy without using the wasabi. But really enjoyed the rolls. No issues and reasonable price.

Unpretentious Japanese eatery, but very good quality from (so far) limited experience. Most of the staff appears to be Chinese. The tonkatsu was crisp and tender. Will patronize again.

Delicious food, fantastic fresh fish, but I am sooooo sick of being nickel and dimed when I order from them. Their prices are also very high, but if you ask for cucumber in a roll to be added, boom $1, ask for any variation on anything... boom, another $2. It is just really annoying to pay such high prices and then get tiny extra charges every time.

Went there and it was empty... yet it took them minutes to bring the menu not to mention how long it took for the food. (Food was ok) the disappointment happened when I ordered online.. the "house salad" it's over $4 + just to get a container with simple greens and a side of dressing not even carrots or anything else.
