The ravioli Limon was to die for omg the most amazing. And the Margherita was amazing as well. The place is 5 stars for pasta night. Amazing for families and much better than casa orinda.

Had the Linguine Aglio Ollo twice already and each time it was perfection- piping hot noodles cooked just right, a delicious garlic sauce and lots of bright green broccoli. Everything is fresh and the restaurant is meticulously clean. It is a comfortable and welcoming place to enjoy a meal.
I had a great dinner here . I ordered gnocchi tres fungi and it was delicious. Service was great and prices were reasonable its one of the places I’d like to come Back when I’m in the area .
Excellent wood fired pizza, pasta, salads. Nice wine and beer selection, Quiet. The Risotto Louisiana is my fave.
Came to San Fransico with a few friends and wanted to dine at a small business, did not know it was going to be this good! Thank you to the owner and the workers, so friendly and amazing food. Had pasta and the pizza, amazing place to go for a quick dine or an evening date! Will be back
We reserved a table for 6 people at 6:30pm. The table was all setup when we arrived. Service was quick with bread and olives and water. We placed our orders quickly and all came out about 10-15 minutes later. Hot and delicious. Then more bread and olives and water. We were too full for dessert but plan to order less next time to have dessert. I recommend the chicken picatta and chicken parm! Parking could be a challenge so give yourself some extra time.
Amazing food and great service! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back!
A clear improvement on the previous owners. The new added beef cuts include, a sumptuous 10 oz sirloin that is delicious and an NY and rib eye steak. All best when medium rare. Their pizza dough is different and better than before. There are now some burger choices too at a great price. And on top of this they added a full liquor license that really helps complete the dining experience. A great place to go before or after a movie at the historic Orinda Theater which is just across the street.
Best pizza in Orinda, highly recommended. Fast and tasteful. They even understand my need for halal food they don’t mind using different knives. Ambiance is even greater for a team night or a getaway for a date ! Highly recommended.

what a gem! a delightful intimate, warm, and friendly atmosphere in a cozy, comfortable space! we will be back, SOON! the wood fired oven adds to the flavor and ambience… La Piazza is wonderful!
They have excellent Italian dishes and delicious pizzas My favorite is the Carbonara and my friend likes the veal dish . The staff is very attentive and pleasant. The kitchen and brick oven are where you can watch your meal being prepared. Some outside tables, clean bathrooms and pleasant atmosphere. Located directly across from Orinda Theater
The food and service were good. The ambiance is letting the place down. It's a good neighborhood Italian restaurant but not fancy or cozy.
I am not sure why this restaurant is rated 3.8. It is a really cozy Italian joint with really nice ambience, good service and good food. I would come here again. This place should atleast be rated 4.3-4.5

Reliably delicious, this is our family's go to restaurant in Orinda. Lovely pasta, an ever changing specials menu, and friendly home town service make this place a gem. Check it out--but leave 1 table free for us, please! 1 year later, I must change review. The new owner is driving this place into the ground with a bumbling wait staff that can't get orders straight or even serve a glass of water without invading diners' personal space. Thank goodness Pedro is still the chef. Pedro, when you leave, let us know where you'll be cooking next! We'll follow the food.
At first when I ate the pizza it was good, very cheesy. However, although it was wood fire oven made- it did not taste like the pizza I had in Italy. The main issue I had was that there was too much garlic; there's only supposed to be small pieces of garlic in the pizza. Consequently, it hurt my stomach. It was definitely over priced! Other than that. It was a small, cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere.
First time trying out this neighborhood italian resto. They serve amazing woodfire oven pizza! The linguini alla vongole was also good. We will be back to try the rest of their menu. Service was friendly and quick.
This place used to be a favorite of mine but the new management has low standards. The food was OK, but not special. The service was really slow. My husband was waiting for the restroom and observed an employee whose flush was immediately followed by the door opening (no hand washing). The place was fairly empty...now I know why. Disappointing

I was only one here on a Monday, just after 5pm.. staff was friendly. I ordered pasta carbonara... gag! It is served a bowl, TONS of butter left in bottom of bowl, random few peas, prosciutto was weird. Heavy heavy cream sauce.. and did I mention the butter. Thick spaghetti pasta. I didn't care for it.. way too heavy. For $18, not worth it. La Strada in San Pablo is WAY better.. food is authentic.. sorry to bring up another restaurant but it was on my mind, having been there last week. I won't return here. Atmosphere nice though.. ugg on my dish. Ciao!
I like trying best food about 40-50 miles, so I go Lot Of best places around Bay Area. Now I want to tell for sure and truth This place is really in bad hand, these owners use to be Owners of best lasagna place called Four corners and they completely destroyed name of 50 year old restaurant. service is good as always this place use to be slightly under staffed eahhh .. may be my feeling. Restaurant around this area is usually expensive but this is little more expensive and they think they are THE BEST CHEF IN WORLD!!! I can feel there is change since my last visit and now. I can still try once more long I don’t see these people around.
SLOW, low energy, sloppy service. We were there for 1hr49 min and decided to walk out without our meal. Atrocious. They were busy but took down orders from guests out of order from arrival. We had two small kids who were without food for almost an hour and a half. The food we did have was mediocre (table bread, salad). The additional garlic bread we ordered was the only notable thing. They use pesto. It was better than average. They were apologetic but it doesn’t make up for the pace or the low energy of the staff. Would not recommend and certainly would never go back.
