We Love THIS location in Conroe. Mr Kirk the manager is AMAZING! Brian takes great care of us while we dine. Makes you feel like you are having Sunday dinner with family that you like! Lol!
Best Golden Corral I’ve ever been to! The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. Everything was clean, organized and running smoothly. The food was delicious across the board and you can tell the team really cares about the experience they provide. The only small hiccup was my steak wasn’t cooked quite to medium rare like I requested and the steak cook was grumpy but it didn’t take away from what was overall a fantastic visit. I confidently give this place five stars. God bless!

This is definitely one of my favorite Golden Corral's! The food quality is always top notch fresh, & more variety is served at this location than others I've frequented thru the years... And I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone is especially friendly & hospitable. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. A loving shout to my Man Charles, who my Fam & I always look forward to seeing when me go. Thanks for all you do for us & others Charles! We appreciate you... 🙏💯😁
Thanksgiving afternoon. There was a vast variety of delicious food. More importantly,however, our server was tremendously kind, friendly, and attentive. He kept up the fast pace whether filling drinks,clearing tables, or restocking clean plates. He. Was. Everywhere! I wish I had gotten his name, but whoever he was, dressed the part as a pilgrim, I hope he earned enough tips to complete his Christmas shopping.
Went there today, on Thanksgiving. Everything was perfect. Delicious food, great service and so blessed they were open today. Thank you to everyone that worked today and sacrificed their holiday to make ours special. Oh!! Be sure to tip your server well. They work very hard to ensure your experience is memorable. Thank you again for all you do.
Waitress was not attentive. Had to refill our own drinks and get our on silverware. Manager noticed and reprimanded the Waitress. The food was wonderful as always and service on other visits was excellent.
The food is just too real and too good. It isn't bland like other golden corrals and the customer service is phenomenal. I go in there with my wife and one year old and 9 year old and the staff is always the most respectful and helpful. I work a lot so I get the plates to go but even while I do that they offer seats and a high chair for my babies and an eye is kept on them while my wife and I enjoy whatever we are feeling that day. My favorite time to go whenever I can is Saturday morning something about that breakfast oh my God. I'm probably bout to go right now.
It’s been years since before Covid I’ve been to a Golden Corral. If you’re hesitant, come back! We came right at opening and were able to get first pick of all the fresh food. I tried to get a taste of most all the proteins so that I could leave a fair review. I’ll start with the Salisbury steak was overcooked and way too dry, even with the gravy. The meatloaf seemed to be a hit with others, as it was mostly gone right out the gate, but it was burnt on bottom so the flavor was off and was dry. All of the chicken items I tried (spicy ranch chicken, BBQ chicken, and shredded chicken in poultry gravy) and the pulled pork were prepared well and tender. The cornbread was prepared, I believe, with honey butter on top. The cornbread had the perfect amount of moisture and didn’t give that dry feel when swallowing. The fried okra was seasoned well and not overcooked, but the okra with stewed tomatoes fell flat. The dessert bar was impressive given the price of the buffet and everything I had was worth going back for, except the carrot cake, as it lacked the traditional amount of spice (the cream cheese frosting was spot on though). And my favorites were the chocolate pie, as it was a pie crust baked with a brownie inside, filled with a whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate and the warm bread pudding! Overall I give it a 7/10, but I would return to this same location. The server, Gladys, and the manager were both helpful. My mother really appreciated some white chocolate type fudge that they had and he was trying to help us find out what exactly was in it, but we were all unsuccessful.
We took the family to eat tonight. We were lucky enough to get a large table area. Great for 7 adults & 2 kids! Plenty of room. The lady working our section was very attentive & helpful. The food was amazing! (Try their bourbon beef!! 😋) Everything we tried was delicious!
We love Golden Corral and have visited many across the country. This one is clean, well stocked and the people are helpful and friendly! We visited here a couple of times while in the area. Thanks!

The staff was amazing. The food however is not what it used to be. It could be because of the time we went; Friday early evening right before a big freeze. The green beans were strange. You can definitely tell by the flavor that they are canned. They used to have a lot better flavor and didn't seem as to they were boiled to death. The pulled pork was so dry I barely even made it through one bite. It didn't really have much flavor either. My daughter said the fried chicken tasted good but was dry. With how much you pay the food should be a lot better. Based on staff alone I would give 5 stars. Based on food alone 1 star.
It was a newer GC. I appreciate the bars being arranged in course order as opposed to other GC:s I have dined at. Server was attentive. Food was great... Freshly rotated and plentiful.
The buffet was really good but was not really impressed with the desserts. I tried several different options of the deserts and they all tasted off and not as described. The only desert that tasted good what's the bread pudding. All the other desserts that I tried had either a metallic taste to it or tasted like whoever cooked it didn't know what they were doing.
Our server was Bryan. He was super nice and had a really good attitude. He stayed attentive to our drinks and kept the used plates out of our way. Just wanted to jump on here to say we are thankful for the positive energy and hospitality from that guy
It's always a bit too noisy. I think that the stereo system should be dialed down a notch or two. By the time I make it back to the table, my food is cool. The restroom was clean! I don't believe service animals should be inside of places where I am eating, but hey, it happens and they are welcome here. Inevitably, that was my que to depart. Overall, I like to come here because they have a variety of options to choose from. Hopefully it will be better, next go round.

Went here on vacation at a nearby hotel in Conroe... Gotta say it was very mid.. The dessert other then the chocolate chip cookies was pretty bad. The place was messy and the mood was bad, not to mention the fries was like eating cardboard with little taste, the only thing I can praise it for is a well kept bathroom but what's a bathroom matter when everything else is not very good. I’m a truck driver and I was here yesterday for Thanksgiving and I have to say that the service was excellent but the food was horrible! ALL of the turkey was cold, most of the food had absolutely NO seasoning! And did I mention that there were flies everywhere! The flies loved the salad bar and the desert bar! I’m assuming because they were the least customers eating from those areas! I would personally not recommend this place or ever visit again! Sorry Golden Corral :-(
I want to say that I love this place… however I went today for Thanksgiving and was so disappointed. I took a friend who had no where to go thinking we would enjoy dinner together. However… it was NOT good at all. Dressing tasted like overpowering sage and was mushy. Yams looked like mashed potatoes and was bland. Macaroni was over cooked and mushy, Peas tasted like they came straight out of a can. The only thing we found edible was green bean casserole. Really was a waste of time and money. I give it a 1 out of 10. I do have to say although it’s not the cleanest place the staff was really nice and inviting. Really think better management would be helpful. Won’t write them off but might be awhile before I try it again.
If I could leave zero stars I would. We spent $46 for two buffets. The food is absolutely horrible. Nothing served here is edible. I could enjoy a nice juicy steak for the price of what I paid for this disgusting food. I cannot believe this place is still in business. I have not eaten here in several years and I can say everything has gone down hill. I cannot believe people pay to eat this garbage they serve
I visited with my family of 5 and spent over $100 and the manager sent the cashier to ask if I had paid after eating 1 plate. The only black family in there at the time and the manager himself was black. He then proceeded to flirt with my 16 year old daughter. I am not returning to this location. The service, management, and food is better at the Spring location.
Where do I start? Let's start with the unapproachable young lady with red hair. She was standing at the register taking our money and rolling her eyes at each customer that came through. Listen sweet heart if you don't like your job please find somewhere else to work. Yes it's that easy. The food was disgusting, well the zucchini was delicious and the water was great. My experience wasn't all that bad because Ms. Tracey she was phenomenal server she made sure we were good every pass by. No wonder her section was so crowded. Not to mention my husband watched her do an honorable action for one of her coworkers. We just want to let you know Tracey, you are a good individual for what you did. I pray you are seenThank you Tracey for showing us what Good customer service is all about. If I ever return I will definitely be sitting in your section
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent visit to this location. On 05/17/25 I took my son—who had just returned home from university—to Golden Corral for what we hoped would be a celebratory and enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but. The most troubling aspect was the behavior of the manager on duty. She was standing behind the carving station, visibly eating in front of guests, including my son and myself. When the chef carving steak politely asked for assistance in restocking ribs, the manager refused to help. Guests, including us, were waiting specifically for the ribs while she stood by eating and doing nothing to address the issue. When I approached the cashier to inquire whether the head manager was available, I was told that the manager eating behind the station was the only person available and that “she won’t help.” This was deeply disheartening. To make matters worse, the heat lamp above the carving station was extremely dirty and held up with black electrical tape—an obvious health and safety concern. Despite this, I want to commend the wait staff and chefs, who appeared to be working hard under difficult conditions. They deserve better support and leadership. I’m sharing this feedback not just to express my disappointment, but in hopes that Golden Corral corporate will take appropriate steps to address both the management issues and the maintenance standards at this location.
