Maiz Cocina exceeded my expectations! The food was absolutely outstanding, with huge portion sizes that make it well worth the visit. I also loved the variety on their drink menu, especially the numerous flight options. A major plus was that my meal came with six tortillas: something you don’t always see but definitely appreciated. Fast service, great prices and excellent food all around. Highly recommend!

My friends brought me here for my birthday and it was such a pleasant experience. The food was incredible. The Chilean Sea Bass was so insanely well prepared. Every element on the plate was cooked with care, with ingredients that married extremely well together, and plated beautifully. It’s so rare to find a place that can cook seafood well, and they nailed the sea bass, it was moist and glistening inside, cooked to perfection. I felt like I was in a Gordon Ramsay restaurant lol They are really fun when it comes to birthdays. They come out singing and light a big sparkling candle in front of you, put a hat on your head, and it’s a party lol excellent service and atmosphere, and overall, a lovely experience.

Scarlett was great! This is our second time here and she is amazing! We were loud having a good time and she just kept us going! I love her energy! You guys need to get a waiter like Scarlett she’s the best!!!!!

This place is in an industrial center/strip mall. They have amazing good food and are truly done Mexican style. My husband found it on Yelp. Service was also great. I would definitely come back here again. This is definitely not your typical Mexican restaurant. Very upscale in the presentation of the food is simply amazing like a high-end restaurant. An experience you don't want to miss and come back often.

Upscaled versions of traditional Mexican dishes from a variety of locales. It's not a cheap street food vendor, this place has a chef who really thought through these recipes. For example, I got the Chile Colorado (Chihuahua), the first Specialty on the menu. I typically use this dish to determine a Mexican Restaurant's quality. Instead of cheap meat in the sauce, Maiz Cocina uses short rib braised until it shreds in the sauce. Elegant. We also got mole (Puebla) enchiladas. And the kid ordered rack of lamb with mole and it was really good. The cream of Jalapeño soup was worth the trip alone. Beans and rice were flavorful. Tortillas were fresh and HOT. We had one waiter who reminded us of Ricardo Montalbán in a good way running the whole place and bar, and he was excellent for everyone we could tell. We were late for dinner but never rushed. Atmosphere yes. Service Yes! Food YES!!

Scarlett was the best service. We had the great breakfast the huevos rancheros were excellent. The patio is beautiful and the inside was very welcoming. I cant wait to come for dinner.

Maiz Cocina absolutely exceeded my expectations. The chicken mole was perfectly prepared — tender, flavorful, and so rich that it practically melted apart with every bite. The carnitas were equally impressive — juicy, crisp on the edges, and seasoned to perfection. And the steak fajitas? Hands down the best I’ve had in years. The steak was so tender it could be cut with a butter knife, and every bite was bursting with flavor. You can taste the care and craftsmanship in every dish. The presentation was beautiful, the portions were generous, and the entire meal felt like a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine done right. If you’re anywhere near Corona, do yourself a favor and eat here. Maiz Cocina is the real deal — comfort, flavor, and artistry all in one plate.

Coworker recommended so had to try it and well also had a giftcard lol. Let me tell you that this place did not disappoint. Food and drinks were delicious. My favorite dish was the pork belly bites with this honey sauce...Chef's kiss!

This was our first time here. Service was courteous. We ordered garlic shrimp, and chipotle bbq, baby back ribs. The foos was good, but I felt that shrimp portion was too small (6 medium shrimp) I was told the bbq ribs would be served with potatoes au gratin and it was a bed of french fries. If you like spicy, thick bbq these ribs are for you. The drink Oaxaca Antigua was really good.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I had the steak fajitas plate and my wife had the chicken mole. We both were very happy with the taste and presentation of our food. Unlike many other Mexican restaurants that load your plate with a tone of beans and rice, Maiz serves dishes with decent proportions and instead provides better quality food. Absolutely one of the best Mexican restaurants in Corona. I recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty Mexican dinner.

We had a lovely dinner here. They were accommodating for our party of 8 on a week night and we had a few appetizers... guacamole and a chili con queso. The chips were crispy and the dips were yummy. I had the mole sauce and it was delicious. Rich and flavorful on chicken. Well presented and a good portion. Pretty cocktails that tasted yummy! My mango margarita was very yummy. Friendly service and lots of parking.

Had dinner at Maíz Cocina and tried the sea bass and their famous carnitas. The sea bass was honestly incredible! Super flavorful, perfectly cooked, and just melted in my mouth. Easily one of the best fish dishes I’ve had in a while. The carnitas were good too, tender and well-seasoned but the sea bass definitely stole the show for me. Great spot overall, and I’d go back just for that fish.

“Great Services” I recommend this place. The food is not just good is delicious. But Today, I want to talk about the services. I want to thank all the servers, especially Maricela. The restaurant today was packed. A lot of people were celebrating Mother’s Day, and Maricela she knew the kitchen would take a little longer to get food to tables; she was our server she was taking care of our table at all times, including other tables. It took a little longer to get our food to our table, today waiting was an acepción, having an excellent service. Thank you, Maricela, for the great smile and great attitude and the time your invest in providing outstanding customer services that make the difference to coming back and having the same experience.

My family and I love this place! The food and drinks are delicious. My go-to is the pork belly bites, and my drink of choice is the Cantarito. We recently went to Brunch they serve on Saturday and Sundays, it was great! The service is good and they take reservations, which is great for us because we have a large family.

This is located a little off the beaten path but truly a fun place for dinner. If you think you will be ordering traditional Mexican Food, think again. The food and presentation is unique, fun and special. It is a great small business to support with truly tasty cuisine. The restaurant is small, so you will get great service. I give this thumbs up for date night!

Antonio is our favorite waiter, and he is very attentive. The owner is very gracious, and makes you feel like family. The drinks are yummy, my go to is the spicy mango margarita it's 🔥. If you haven't given them a try I highly recommend it. You wont be disappointed!

I had been here several years ago and was a little bit disappointed. Some friends and I stopped here for lunch and I absolutely was impressed. The server was great. The ceviche was absolutely delicious. I wish the tables were a little bit further apart for privacy, but it's a small place so that's doable. They will definitely be back again!
