Good food at a decent price!

It's one of my favorite places to get mexican food in Corpus Christi! I ordered the Mexican Plate, which came with 2 cheese enchiladas (yellow corn tortillas not red), carne asada taco, rice and beans. Delicious! You can't find too many places in SA that use yellow corn tortilla for their enchiladas. I prefer yellow over red. My fiance ordered the Texas plate, which came with 2 cheese enchiladas, a good portion of carnedl guisada, guacamole, rice and beans. Good flavor! Tortillas are homemade and fluffy, prices were good, and the service was great! Always a Corpus Christi favorite!

I can't get enough of their breakfast tacos. Anything on the taco and you add cheese and its amazing. Huge fan of their carne guisada

Had a great meal with great friends at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Corpus Christi, TX. I had the Al Pastor plate for dinner,and it was terrific. Lots of food and the homemade tortillas were *chef's kiss*. I cannot recommend this place enough. Next time I'm in town, you'll know where to find me!

Very welcoming, clean and good environment. Got the crispy taco plate which came with 3 tacos, all packed with ground beef. Ordered guac on the side which was delicious also. Chips and salsa were amazing, chips were crispy and fresh and the salsa had just the right amount of kick!

Man this was a great surprise! Price was phenomenal, taste was great, service was super, ambiance was okay but not bad. My only complaint is the you only get TWO tortillas with this meal, the Molcajete for one (but can feed 2 or 3). The salsa ( chips and salsa ) was great. Warm and tasty. Not too spicy, just spicy enough. I wish I lived near this place but I was visiting for business. I will go again if I am in the area.

Their tortillas were thr fluffiest Ive ever eaten in a good while. The waitress was very polite and accommodating. Food was good. The atmosphere is pretty cozy. We must have gone on a busy day because it was kinda loud and there were crying and screaming kids next to us.

This place is the average Tex-Mex Corpus restaurant. Waitress today was not attentive. She kept forgetting whatever I asked for, never refilled my coffee, which is always a must do in any restaurant. Came to ask if we needed anything just to never bring what we asked for. The food was okay but pricey. I appreciate them making an effort to keep up with the building maintenance, fresh paint job, and new upholstery in the benches. That makes the place look clean and keeps the "old manteca" smell at bay.

I ordered something different ,a fire roasted corn quesadilla, I did not add any meat , I did not think it needed it , and I was right. If I did order it again and I wanted meat , I would get shredded chicken. I also ordered 1 tamale ,it tasted good, but fell apart easily. The chips were ok , I did miss the fact they had no flour chips mixed in. The salsa was a good consistency and ok heat. .

Typical Tex-Mex, but I found this place to be extraordinarily friendly and not too cold. The Ranchero sauce was delicious, over easy eggs perfect, but the coffee was very weak. I liked the fact that 3 police officers were having breakfast there. I imagine their enchiladas rock!

Basic 2 egg plate with refried beans were tasty. It came with ranchero sauce but I didn't order the plate that way. I order a side of guisada with the plate. The beef tips were cooked well and very tender. The gravy was good as well. The flour tortillas tasted home made. Buen provecho!

The food was really good! Not excited about the chips, but the salsa was good. Service was fast and pleasant. No employee was rude! Our waitress checked on us a few times with a smile on her face. Affordable prices, too. Everyone was minding their own business. I was there during the lunch hour. So if you are pressed for time, this is the place to go. I don't really like Mexican restaurant food, but this was definitely an exception. 8.97/10 will continue going to try other food off the menu. This place was pretty good! Portions were large for the price and the food was tasty. The salsa was not for me though, it tasted like picante sauce you get from the grocery store. They do give you 2 different hot sauces once your food comes which were better than the table salsa.

Affordable and what I can only assume to be authentic (im not mexican). Most items on the menu hover at about $13 and they provide free tortilla chips and salsa which is yummy. The only complaint is that the lady that was suppose to waitress wasn't very accommodating and waited too long before revisiting us for things like ordering and the check and etc. ( we were alone in the restaurant btw). I frequent this restaurant as it is close to my house. I have ordered the enchilada plate on 3 different occasions. Today was by far the worst enchilada I've had there. Cheese was hard and stringy, and even the enchilada sauce was off. Thank goodness the rice and beans were pretty good, as well as the tortilla. I don't know if I'll try that again, especially to go. This is my go to place but why has the service gotten so bad? The food is almost perfection but the poor service is just ridiculous.We all are in the customer service business and if tips are how you make your money attention to detail is a big deal.Hope you guys get better and make sure the waitstaff checks on tables like they are expecting a tip.There are some great tippers out there , remember that!

The food was great but unfortunately this is the second time we came to this location and both times experienced terrible service. I understand people have bad days but when you arrive before another table (different waitress Joanna)and they get their drinks and order taken even before we received our drink order, that’s frustrating. The waitress from the other table ended up taking our order. Our waitress didn’t bother to ask if we wanted chips and salsa and never asked if we wanted refill. Love the food here but the service is always mid. I recently got double charged due to the new POS system they started using. Whatever you do, do not leave a tip if you do not want to be double, triple or quadruple charged. I was told by the manager that they recently got a new system and I was double charged due to leaving a tip and it’s happened to others as well. After I was double charged, they held my card on file and attempted to charge me 2 more times but I had already locked my card due to their mistake. I was waiting for someone to reach out and resolve the problem before leaving a bad review but after 4 days and 2 phone calls of following up requesting answers on my end I still have received no assistance and no effort to resolve the issue on their end. Awful service… I’m fine with not receiving my refund since I spend tons of money here, I take my family to eat here at least once a week but this awful service has lost my business for good.

This is the second time that I have gone to this restaurant and ordered take out and both times the same lady at the register took the order. My family visits this restaurant often but I will rate them for today's drive thru service. We ordered a chicken caldo and when I opened it there was 1 tiny chicken leg and nothing else. I proceeded to call the restaurant and when I asked for the manager she refused to give me her name. Then she hung up on me. My family or friends will not return to this place. There female nameless manager needs to learn how to deal with the public. Horrible customer service. The beauty of this is there are many more Mexican restaurants I can go to, but I will not spend any more on this one.

I ordered a Fish plate! I received a small piece of fish that was flatter than a tortilla. Plenty of Rice (which I didn't eat), plenty of Fries and Cole Slaw. I had my Family from North Carolina joining me. There were 4 of us. If a Plate is FISH, that should be the main food on it! I got more at Church Friday than at restaurant! I was very disappointed! I would never receive FISH PLATE ever!

I hate to do this, but today was just the worst I have ever felt at a restaurant. I had my family with me and for 10 minutes they just treated us as if we were invisible. I used to think this was a really good restaurant until today. we walked in at 8:20pm and we're standing by the door waiting to be seated,or at least that's what we thought. My mother and I ordered to go at drive thru. When we got home, we realized we did not have a receipt as we paid cash, and they messed up the order entirely. We asked for bean, potato, egg and cheese to only just bean and potato. My mother drove back up to show them the order -1 taco as she tried it and realized the mess up. It wouldn’t be uncommon for people to make mistakes, as this restaurant seems to be an expert in, but they decided to charge her extra for egg for the 3 tacos. EVEN THO THEY MADE THE MISTAKE. That tells you a lot about the establishment.

The waitress got the order wrong and wouldn't fix it. I was going to have to pay for her mistake plus the re order. They threatened to call the cops. After I offered 20 dollars for them to just let me leave. Because they stood in front of the door. And I never saw a manager. The girls name was Marisa and hardly spoke english.

So my pregnant wife ordered beef enchiladas, as she started eating it she noticed the meat was getting pinker and pinker til she brought out a piece of raw meat. She through it away right after she took a pic. I went over there to get our money refunded. I showed the manager and she told me I was wrong. I asked for a refund back and she refused. She acted like she didn’t care. Then she complained in Spanish to the other waitress, the didn’t know I could understand la fea gorda idiota. Don’t go there, they don’t care if they give you bad service, bad food, and bad management.

$8 taco salad with close to no lettuce and an overdone shell. I just called to try to get a replacement at a later time and they said the only thing I could do was drive all the way back there and get some lettuce. Won't be coming back here.

Horrible experience from the get go in the drive-through. We have often gone to this specific area or restaurant because they have typically have been great but this time they were rude and not accountable for their mistakes. Food was cold missing several items servings were extremely small and when we called, they could not accommodate us unless we just went and picked up a new order which we didn’t have time to I feel or should I say most restaurants but accommodate if you’re not satisfied and you’re admitting that most of the time this place or their restaurant has been amazing. They would accommodate their customer. We actually got sick from eating some of the food

I've eaten at the other location on Gollihar and weber and it's never disappointing. This location always misses. This last time spent 60$ worth of food in drive thru and I had 2 plates that should have came with tortillas, didn't get any. My customizations I paid extra for, also not there. No napkins, no salsa , no side orders. Not to mention the food was bland. I'll stick to the original location near Gollihar.

I went through the drive thru, ordered some tacos and saw the chile con queso was 6.99 for a large add ground beef for 1.99. So I asked for a large. The person at the intercom says. Well just to let you know that's 20.00. I was confused l, so I asked her do you meal 20 for the whole order or just the queso? She says no just the queso, at that time another lady got on and says what's your problem asking prices? Do you want to order or not? I was like yes, I just want to make sure I heard correctly, she says well its on the menu that its 20 dollars i said no mam, it says 6.99. She says WELL 20 IS THE DRIVE THRU PRICE, BECAUSE OF THE CONTAINERS WE USE, SO ITS ONLY 6.99 INSIDE. SO ARE YOU GOING TO ORDER OR WHAT?. I declined to order and went on my way. I will not order from a place that freestyles pricing. And 20 dollars for a queso?? I'm not sure if the containers she's talking about are pyrex or the queso has gold flakes. But what's even more mind boggling, is that you would just want to think people are stupid enough to pay 20 bucks. That was my experience.

Super disappointed today with the crispy beef taco plate. Food was cold. Tortilla shells were old, cold and hard. No cheese! Only a teaspoon of lettuce and tomato! Rice and beans were cold. I use the drive thru several times a week. Will not be going back! The chalupas are not much better. Shells are old, hard and cold. Quality stinks. You all need to do better.

They ALWAYS forget a taco or quesadilla in my order. It is so annoying that it happens every single time, I go out to make dinner/lunch easier not having to waste more of my time to go back and ask for something I already paid for. It's ridiculous.

Be very careful if you pay with a credit card! Went through the drive thru on Tuesday morning. And my credit card notified me today the total was updated to include tip. I don't tip drive thru and I wrote the total on the receipt. They clearly choose to tip themselves.

Beware , they are charging the same for credit card as cash fees. I always order the same order & they charged me same as they did the credit card order. Then on top of that they missed my bacon I asked for in my taco & when I called they decided to tell me they’ll give me the bacon after I already drove 15 min. Away instead of making it right after I expressed this full frustration after they being basically stealing money from me. The staff did not let me speak to the manager which is named Claudia Supposably OR she was avoiding me. Unsure but that was just horrible. I’ve never had an experience where they’re just constantly ripping you off. Never again.

They screwed up my friend's order. She ordered a salad a sweet tea and a lemonade. They gave her a salad and an Arnold Palmer. When she tried to correct them they made a huge deal about it and offered to refund the drink instead of providing what she originally ordered. The manager was called and we could see her shaking her head dramatically through the drive-thru window. Very rude and unprofessional. If I could leave zero Stars I would 10 out of 10 don't recommend. If you're looking for mediocre food with a side of bad service this is the spot.

They have gotten really lazy on their food presentation and quality. I asked for Asada quesadillas and they gave me fajita one piece cut like a steak in us in the quesadilla. Horrible horrible!!

I swear every time I go they ALWAYS give me a no cheese in my bean and cheese taco. It’s like I ordered a simple bean taco. I swear i am done with them. If they can’t make a simple taco right then why are they there.

Acapulco is an amazing place to dine. 100% the best. This location is 100% TERRIBLE. The food was so bad we tossed it out. A dog would not have eaten this garbage. A take out order should not include smashed burritos due to poor bagging. Smashed is for burgers, not Tex -Mex food. Avoid this location. It is disgusting.

New building doesn’t make a restaurant great , it’s the people in it. I don’t mind waiting an hour for great service but after an hour don’t keep lying to us abt “ you are next” when we see others go before us that WE KNOW we’re after us. Everyone can relate to my situation one time or another. And don’t say you are having Marachi play on Fridays ( we called ahead) and none are present. Management just gave excuses but never “ I’m sorry “ definitely wasn’t looking for anything free, just good experience.

Went for lunch and bill was $30.16 for two, left waitress $6 tip cash, 20% reasonable gratuity. I was charged the $30.16 and someone added a $10 tip for a total charge of $40.16 dollars in my credit card. This will be the last time I ever eat at any of their establishments, why do people now a days assume they can steal without being caught with online banking . Please be aware of this establishment and any of their other establishments.

This morning. Stopping in for some breakfast. Ordered two tacos. One potato and egg and one potato spam and egg. The potato spam and egg was all potato and spam, not much egg to enjoy a taco. After taking two bites it was brought up to the waitress who proceeded to go get another lady. She came out and had no care for a “customers“ concern. Her initial statement was “they put one egg per taco and if you want extra, it will be an added charge.” Since when does the cost of an egg come out of her pocket? My husband proceeded to tell her that he wanted a refund and she said no because he ate almost half of it. If it were up to him he would not have paid at all. Unreasonable hospitality. If you are the manager reading this review read that book. You have a lot to learn. I have been a restaurant manager for over 30 years and have never in my life treated a customer this way. She had no concern for the customer just for “the rules.” She was doing what she was asked that’s all she could say. Her management certificate came out of a Cracker Jack box. If I could give zero stars I would. On all categories. Will never return here ever due to service and “their rules.”

We have dined at this location a few times and most of the time it’s been good service and decent food. We dined there tonight and the food was disappointing. It didn’t have much flavor to it at all. The biggest issue was one of the ladies at the front. When a charge was questioned on our receipt she informed us it was because they gave us a bigger portion of avocado. However we did not ask for a bigger portion, we just asked for it to be put on the side so if we took leftovers it would not become soggy. She ended up refunding the $2.50 but as we walked away she made a snide remark of “it’s just $2.50 darling”. I found it very rude and makes me not want to return.

I come here a lot. Like a lot a lot. I try to be understanding and patient. I’m fed up with these smear of beans and a small pinch or cheese for premium crack prices. The price isn’t the issue. Its the size of the taco for the money that’s the issue 🤦🏻‍♂️ the food is delicious. Yall can do better
