Great friendly old style cafe atmosphere. Delicious food, large variety on the menu, breakfast served all day, coffee isn’t watered down/weak. It’s a representation of the way things used to be, and still should be.
Absolutely fantastic experience!! The staff was amazing and attentive, the food was simply top notch and worth every penny! I can't wait to go back again!
Andy's is well known for their breakfast, but honestly, ALL of their food is good. Its a cute little place with an old country decor. The train traveling around the restaurant is a pretty cool touch. Service is always fast and the food is always good :)
The food was fantastic, really there are OTHER places that have good food but do they have a train? No. Food took a minute to come out but nothing crazy beyond what's a usual time to wait. The staff was attentive, oh did I mention the train? Muffins were dry but that's cool they make them in house, trains.
Very cute and wonderful service. We had Omar for our server, and I could not recommend him more! I love getting a muffin once you sit down. There is smart balance butter on the table. But I got some real butter quickly, and it was whipped! The meals were all very big, and we brought home at least another meal.
We just finished eating only to realize they closed 30 minutes ago, we feel awful, we had no idea. Our service was wonderful and they didn’t even hint to us that they wanted us to leave. We feel so so so bad and would’ve left a much bigger tip had we known it was after hours. This place is wonderful and so was the food even though we kept them working after they should’ve been home already. Bless these workers. And it’s Halloween, man we are so sorry.
Andy's was a fantastic place to eat. The wait was a bit long, but if the food is good people will wait for it. The ambiance was really cool. Love the overhead train. The food was really tasty.
We came to this place because of the high ratings & I had heard that there was some good food. We came here on our vacation. Let me tell you, they were RIGHT! Sevice, food & the atmosphere was EXCELLENT!!!! You can look at the pictures & know that there's a difference. We'll be back on the next trip!!!! Thank you for EVERYTHING!
Great staff, good food, and clean facility. I was very happy with my order as the food was well seasoned and it was a healthy portion. I will be back.
Great little diner. A homestyle/Mexican fusion. Enchiladas for breakfast!?! Nice. I did t order the enchiladas. Was in the mood for huevos rancheros. Over medium with refried beans, grits and rye toast. They give you a muffin as breakfast dessert. All was cooked perfect, and tasted great. Service was excellent. They had trading on tracks running around the ceiling. Which is cool. Kids should love that.
This is a popular spot for the seasoned locals. We had a short wait to be seated. We were greeted by a basket of blueberry muffins, and boy were they delicious. I had chicken fried steak and eggs also hashbrowns. So here's a tip if you order hashbrowns as a added side you can share them with another person because they give you so much. The decor is vintage right down to the two trains that run over head on a track that spans the entire restaurant. If your looking for good food give them a try. Two thumbs up.
Take your time and don’t be in a hurry to enjoys this place. It’s worth the trip. There is something for everyone on the menu. We were seated prominently. Our server brought out our coffee and complimentary muffins and then took our orders. The coffee (Community Coffee) was right on point! They were very busy but like I said the wait was absolutely worth it. The bacon was perfect thick and not greasy. The pancakes were fluffy. The migas delicious. Oh and the tortillas are made in house. Nice thickness and taste. My husband had the western omelet with hashbrowns. Everything was perfect. Do yourselves a favor and treat yourselves to a meal or two here.
Busy busy! But for good reason. If there’s any wait it’s worth it. Filling omelets, good coffee, and the blueberry muffins are hot, fresh, and worth the visit alone. It took a little while for our food to come out, but everything was fresh and delicious. Atmosphere is welcoming, cozy, and inviting. Keep an eye out for the cute little train that rides around the restaurant. Clearly a popular breakfast spot and now we know why!
This dinner is so different starting from the complementary warm muffins they serve you once you arrive to your table. Be aware that waiting time always is going to be expected if you want to avoid it call in advance and made your reservation. We await but for a Holiday morning it wasn't too bad, we awaited about 20 minutes!! The host is so funny we had good time watching him while we awaited for our table he also was a little rude with the buzzer, this nice man from the kitchen was picking up the plates from our table and asked us a couple of questions he was very friendly and was just telling us to come back and the host yelled at him to finish picking up the table. I should give 4 stars just because of the host behavior with his co-workers, I just hope he can be less aggressive and more gentle with his peers. In the other hand we have very nice and respectful waitresses and waiters they were busy with a busy breakfast rush but always bringing coffe refills to everyone! I liked the train that goes around the dinner not sure you but when I see a train in a dinner I always can tell the food is great. I didn't mistake this time , food was so delicious. I recommend this place an be ready for a loud host but with good food and good service inside!
Short wait that was well worth it! Extensive menu for any meal you want. Blueberry muffins were delicious. Eggs, pancakes, perfect bacon and hash browns. Yummy biscuits. Well be back on our next trip to Corpus!
Went there on Memorial Day weekend, and it was packed. However, the wait time was only 35 minutes, which is much better than other places. The food had large portions and tested great. They offered free muffins. They also gave plenty of toast. My only complaint was the coffee creamers. Some of them were rotten. Please watch for that.
One of the best classic American Diners in Corpus Christi. This Southside eatery is a breakfast-lover’s heaven and great for families, couples, or even dining solo. I usually get the “Andy’s Country Breakfast” that comes with two eggs (your choice on preparation), bacon, sausage patties, hash browns or grits, and pancakes. It’s like a mini-buffet on your plate! The staff is quick and fast-paced, and always extremely friendly. You’re always greeted by your server with a complimentary basket of their delicious blueberry muffins that go well with a cup of coffee. Kids always enjoy seeing the model train that operates around the restaurant. Advisory: Be sure to show up before 8:45AM on weekends, or else you will wait. The waits can be up to 45 minutes, but typically they rotate tables out faster than that.
When we are down here in Corpus this is our favorite breakfast place. Be prepared to wait but it's definitely worth it! Love their homemade, fresh blueberry muffins!!
Nice restaurant. We were given blueberry muffins when we sat down. Heavenly! They have 2 trains that run on a track above your head. Food was delicious. I had the chorizo and eggs. It comes with 2 sides and toast. Wonderful! My husband had their chorizo and egg quesadilla, and he had the guacamole as his dipping sauce. Spectacular. Highly recommend them. We will be back next time we're in town.
Good place to have a breakfast. Be prepared to wait for a table! In the weekends, usually you will wait around 20 minutes, but I really recommend! They offer complimentary blueberry muffins! It was delicious! I went here two times, I ordered ham & cheese omelette and breakfast quesadilla, respectively. Yummy!! Also, my husband loved the Andy's country breakfast. The food was great, huge portions and the service was friendly!
Delicious food. Enormous portions. Decent service. Relatively quick food considering we were eating during the busiest time on a Sunday. Breakfast syrup seems to be a corn syrup flavored with maple but not real maple, and the butter at the table looks like a margarine based on the label. But other than that, the food was great. Will be back.
Really enjoyed my experience out at Andy's Kitchen in Corpus Christi, Tx. To start things off were the complimentary phenomenal tasting blue berry muffins. Some of the best I've had. For breakfast, I ordered the Andy's Country Breakfast which you see in that delicious photo. Special also included toast and silver dollar pancakes. This all American breakfast was cooked to perfection and possibly could be the best I've had in years. I so wish San Antonio had an Andy's. Can't wait to make another trip back!! Btw, the service was top notch.
Now this place right here for breakfast was amazing and the service was great but as busy as Andy's as usually it didn't take very much time to see us and it was just all around perfect to to go to there is waiting time. So if you're trying not to wait for a long time the best thing is to go right when it opens arrive early in other words but it's really an amazing place to go have breakfast at
Andy's Kitchen is a delightful dining spot with friendly staff and quick service. While there might be a slight wait, it's definitely worth it, especially for first-time visitors. The menu offers a wide variety of options to cater to all tastes, and the ambiance is inviting and pleasant. Don't miss out on their amazing muffins; they're an absolute treat!
Always been a local favorite when coming to Corpus. Fast and friendly service with cool remote control trains circling above you. My favorite is the breakfast enchiladas. Give them a shot.
Andy's is always busy for a reason...they're the best! The best home cooking in Corpus! Great staff and they are on it! So attentive and courteous, even as busy as they are. And the food is soooooo good! I highly recommend the biscuits & gravy and the breakfast enchiladas with the eggs over easy ...heavenly!!!
The food was great. Super cool atmosphere. Had a bit of a wait and they called me right within the time frame they said they would when our table was ready.. Coffee cups were never empty and the service was fast and friendly and was great. I have bookmarked this to return again next time we are in Corpus. The portions are huge and very tasty. The syrup for the pancakes was thick and very tasty!
Pretty loud and bustling restaurant. Both times I've been there, it was about a 30 minute wait. The waitresses are busy, busy and I'm not sure how they keep everything straight. Food tastes great, only took away 1-star because it wasn't all hot when served.
I will not ever skip a visit to Andy's Kitchen when I am in town. We loved it here. The staff is friendly. The food is great. I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were excellent. They were perfectly prepared and tasted great. I love their blueberry muffin that they bring to you as well. My coffee was also good and perked me up for the day. Our server was friendly and prompt. He checked on us and provided great service.
I love this place! Complimentary warm, fresh Blueberry muffins. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the breakfast quesadillas, your choice of meat, I had chorizo. The ranchero sauce had so much flavor and I'm so picky. The Blueberry pancakes were the best. Definitely save room for them. There was so much food with our order. Also the service was incredible. Our waiter was funny, friendly and very attentive.
I always order the same thing: country fried steak, which is one of their best meals! I love how everything is freshly made so it takes a little more time to get served and this place is always packed. Waiting time is usually 15-20 mins on peak hours. Of course, their free blueberry muffin is a bonus. All in all, I always go back here because of how the staff treat their customers- like a family!!
We dont live in CC, TX, but if we are ever in town, we try our best to eat breakfast at Andy's. We usually expect to wait, but the time goes quickly as they are fast to service every customer. They serve warm, delicious blueberry muffins as you sit. The service is truly 5 star. They are nice and very fast. The host greeted us and was very nice. I ordered Andy's breakfast, and every item was great. The host was even kind enough to send us home with some of those exceptional muffins. I would definitely recommend that you take your family. Our boys love the toy train that passes by as you eat. Great service, food, and atmosphere.
We've been coming by for breakfast on Sunday mornings and as expected there is always a wait for a table. Nice atmosphere just a bit too small but still a good place to come eat. Food is full of flavor and decent portion sized. Food comes nice and hot. Servers always come by and check on the customers.
Saw Andy’s rating on Yelp and was super excited to try. What people didn’t tell you is that this place gets upset busy in the morning. It’s Saturday and I had to wait 25 mins before being seated. So glad I stayed because this spot is amazing. Sat down with a group of 4 and complimentary blueberry muffins was right on the table for us. We were serviced right away with drink and food orders. After looking at their menu, I decided on their country fried steak & eggs (13.95$) while the wife got the Andy’s country breakfast (11.95$). As we wait for the food, we couldn’t believe how busy this place was. When the food arrived, we were amazed at how huge the portions were. You will not leave here hungry, guaranteed. The country fried steaks is a must try because it was excellent. The food were quality no doubt and the service was outstanding. So glad there is a place like this in Corpus.
Recently moved to Corpus Christi and have been hearing about this place. We tried to go a few times on Sunday but the crowd waiting outside was intimidating. Finally this past Sunday there wasn’t anybody sitting outside, so we shot our shot and it was Amazing. It’s like a Cracker Barrel’s crazy cousin. The trains they have going over head is a nice touch. To start… this place gives you blue berry muffins as a starter. Food was good and it came quick. I went with the Andy’s special with the sos gravy. Hit the spot. Was ready for a food coma after for sure. My other half went with the eggs Benedict. I don’t do eggs, so I trust her opinion when she said they were amazing and she left nothing on the plate. Server was quick and attentive. She even put me to work and I had to stock the butter 🤣 Will definitely be coming back 🤌🏼💯
The best first experience and great service from my server Anna. The decor reminds me of the restaurant in Kansas City named Fritz. It too has the railroad track and train that runs along the upper part of the restaurant. It was enjoyable and I will be back as well as recommend cowboy chicken fried steak. However, the pancakes were not as enjoyable. I will try again. However, I do recommend this restaurant
As a Mommy and Me date I took my son here to see the model train and to finally try the food! This place is just wonderful! The food is fantastic and the staff are amazing! I ordered the country fried steak and a cup of the split pea soup, my son ordered the grilled cheese with fries. Everything was very flavorful and perfect portions! The desserts are phenomenal as well! I ordered the fudge pie! My son ordered the hummingbird cake. Just delicious! We will be coming back here more often!
Fried pork chops with scrambled eggs, hash browns and biscuits. Pork chops were tender and fried to perfection. Eggs were fluffy and tasty. Hash browns were crispy and not greasy. The biscuits, wow, were tender, and buttery. Add a little honey to make the biscuits melt in your mouth good. Don’t walk, run to get you some good old fashion home cooking.
This place will deffinatly fill the hungries 😋! Those Blueberry muffins fresh out of the oven! Wow! Service was amazing and the portions are deffinatly healthy. Now let's talk flavor... don't touch the salt or pepper. Everything was seasoned, and if you add items to an omelet, they add!! 10 outa 10 reccomend
Absolutely best breakfast diner we've ever eaten at. Wonderful service. Very clean and open atmosphere. We loved it and highly recommend. It was busy and had a slight wait so plan accordingly. *If crowds bother you then you may have to settle for less stellar food. 😁
My husband is originally from Corpus I am from Houston and we reside in San Antonio. I have never been in a more beautiful place ever! The food is great the long line went quick every single person working there interacted with us in such a lovely friendly way. I am definitely putting many pictures on my YouTube page (Judith (Ramos) Diaz soon . I love this restaurant and I will share my experience as much as possible. Keep up the great work you are all doing and thank you.
This is a Great place to have breakfast! They were very busy when we were there. We probably waited a half hour or so but it was Definitely worth the wait as the food is super good. Be sure to try out their blueberry muffins! Very cozy atmosphere with interesting decor! I definitely will be back when I'm in the area! A strong ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!
Clean and friendly staff! Went above and beyond for my little girls birthday breakfast! We are from out of town and I highly recommended if you want a good breakfast! I am in love with the blueberry muffins!
Please don't let the long line deter you from going to Andy's because it's well worth the wait. The food was so delicious that we had to go back one more time before we hit the road back to Houston. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was seasoned and cooked to perfection. They also provide you with homemade blueberry Muffins while you wait on your food, and it was the best blueberry Muffins I've ever had. I can't wait to go back to take the rest of my family to this restaurant in May.
The place was great. It was Saturday morning, and the town was busy because of the solar eclipse, but the food and the fast, efficient service made up for the wait time. Watching the team members work in unison was impressive, and our server was very personable. I highly recommend Andy's for breakfast if you're visiting Corpus Christi.
Second time here and they do not disappoint! Everything was so delicious! My husband had the sirloin (perfectly cooked and seasoned) egg whites, hash browns, tortillas (just ok). I had corn beef hash perfectly crispy as I requested, two over easy, biscuits (excellent!), and sausage gravy (yum). Always enjoy the black coffee. Thank you for the great service and great food!
A Corpus classic with a fun history. Come early — but worth the wait if you don't. Kitchen bar seating and booths, so come one or come all. The hot chocolate is tall and messy with whipped cream and chocolate sauce as it should be. The service is so warm and friendly. Breakfast quesadilla tops the charts for me and (after coffee and free muffins) usually gives me leftovers for lunch. It's our go-to birthday breakfast place. Everything made fresh, and they are glad to have you. *"Never leave, Andy's!**
First time coming here and it did not disappoint at all. I got the Andy’s Country Breakfast and I cannot get over how good it was. My boyfriend got the sirloin steak & eggs and we got our son the dollar pancakes with sausage. Our orders came out perfect and the service was the best. Definitely will be coming here again.
My husband and I opened a restaurant right after our wedding making it difficult to go out to eat! We went for breakfast today and it was so so amazing. We like to sit at the counter to watch all the action. The food was out promptly, hot, coffee refills hot, the service outstanding, I think it was Meagan. Owners are salt of the earth. That means alot in a small community like ours. We will definatly be back soon. Thank you!
Andy’s is THE place to go for a pleasant, home-cooked dining experience in CC, especially for breakfast. 🍳 Expect a bit of a wait, but even @ that, the servers get everyone sat & accommodated as quickly as possible. Food was fantastic, my coffee was always full, & everyone was super pleasant. Definitely can’t go wrong w/ their blueberry muffins. Thanks to Cristina R. for ensuring our breakfast plates of corn beef hash & breakfast omelette were all set. 🥘 We’ll be back!
I’m from San Antonio and as a regular visitor to Corpus Christi I wish I had found this place a long time ago! When I first drove down Staples Road to look for this restaurant I saw that the parking lot was full… and thought to myself “That’s a GOOD SIGN!”. I went in and found out for myself why this is a popular spot- great service, a clean atmosphere, and mindblowingly good food! I enjoyed a complimentary blueberry muffin before my order of Oreo Pancakes and bacon landed on my table- and while that sounds like something very simple… it was very enjoyable! I took a dozen of those blueberry muffins to go and shared them with the staff of the hotel I’m staying at on Padre Island who have always been very kind and helpful to me. They really enjoyed them! I look forward to being back here again soon. The staff here obviously works hard to earn our business and I appreciate everything they do to create a wonderful experience!
They just “get it”! Reminds me of a diner circa 1980. Honest helpful staff, great food! Breakfast menu was a solid choice of traditional american options and Mexican options. Food was fantastic! Portions were rational, and flavorful. My coffee cup stayed full the whole meal, every staff ensured we were cares for. Skip the fast food and try this local joint!
Very good selection of menu items. The food is excellent and the staff are very pleasant. The hot fresh, free muffins that are provided before the meal are very tasty and well appreciated. The bathrooms were clean, but small (one person per gender). There’s a dual track train that circles the whole restaurant and is a very nice addition to the already fantastic atmosphere. When I come back to the area, I will definitely revisit Andy’s.
A great place for breakfast. We come here every time we visit from San Antonio. The eggs and bacon are delicious. The 3 dollars pancakes are cute and very tasty. And I have to mention their biscuits and gravy, very good. Also, the staff is very friendly and prompt. The overall atmosphere here is amazing. We even loved how so many regulars were eating here and the employees were on first name basis with them. They already knew their orders too! That’s just great customer service. We will keep coming back and definitely recommend this place!
Andy's Kitchen in Corpus Christi is an absolute gem, embodying everything a classic diner should be. The ambiance is warm and inviting, a perfect blend of nostalgic charm and bustling energy. A delightful detail that truly sets it apart is the miniature toy train that perpetually circles the dining room, a whimsical touch that brings a smile to every face, young and old. The wait staff are consistently hospitable and genuinely friendly, making you feel like a welcomed guest rather than just a customer. They contribute significantly to the comforting, home-like atmosphere. But let's talk about the food! The biscuits and gravy are a revelation – fluffy biscuits smothered in a rich, flavorful gravy that tastes homemade. The crispy bacon is cooked to perfection, a crunchy complement to any breakfast dish. And the silver dollar pancakes? They are, without a doubt, the cutest you will ever lay eyes on, perfectly portioned and incredibly delicious. Andy's Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone seeking hearty, delicious food and an experience that feels like stepping back into a simpler, friendlier time.
Dropped in for a late lunch (sorry staff!!) they were so accommodating even though much of their food was already out of stock. The blueberry muffins were still coming out HOT! The chicken fried steak was the table hit! I got the Rueben sandwich - wasn’t the best but not sure what I was thinking ordering that at Andy’s. Oh well. My father in law had the liver and onions and enjoyed it! We got a basket of rolls and jalapeño corn bread and it was so good!!!
Andy's Kitchen is a must stop for breakfast and lunch 😋 The food is delicious, and the staff is prompt and very friendly 😀 ENJOY the awesome decor and the non stop train which rides along the tracks throughout the restaurant, just wayyy cool 😎You may encounter some wait time, depending on when you get there. Generally, it's not a long wait, and plus, there's always the truck stop counter to sit at. I highly recommend you stop by. Very short drive from the main hi way. ♥️
I highly recommend this place! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and the place was cute and nicely decorated. We had a great time! The chicken and waffles and breakfast quesadillas were the favorites in my family. Get there early when you go, there was a 30min wait when we went but it was totally worth it!!
Wait.. how have I not been here before? My son is usually in charge of picking out restaurants for us to eat at when we travel. We roll up for breakfast and were immediately seated. I loved the two trains they had running on tracks in the ceiling. It was very nostalgic. The young lady who was our service was on top of it. She made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. My kid had ordered eggs and she asked him what kinds of salsa he wanted and brought all of them they had available, including two they made homemade. They also brought out homemade blueberry muffins that were hot. As I am eating one, I look over and noticed they had all kinds of homemade baked goods available. I am glad we got there when we did, as the restaurant had filled out quickly. The food was amazing and the service was also stellar. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

Great food and service! Delicious biscuits and free muffins as a starter. Go early to avoid a wait. Very popular local place.
Very good breakfast. Unique small town feel. Cool train running around restaurant. Food 10/10. Service excellent. I'll be back!
The food was excellent at Andy's restaurant. Excellent coffee, the best biscuits and gravy I ever ate and very pleasant service. On my second visit I had French toast. It was very, very good.
One of the best places to get good home cooking at a good price. The food is great and the service is awesome. My wife and I go there at least twice a month. I highly recommend it.
Really busy place as it's very popular.Awesome muffins to kick off the order! Good food and variety. So much to try but the chicken and waffles are a classic.
So great would go back got helped out by the sweetest people ever! Was truly a great experience such a homey vibe in there and the food was great!!! And they have fresh squeezed lemonade

Great place. Prompt, friendly service, clean restaurant. Also forgot to mention, food is great. You can tell it is well established and family friendly.
A busy place, but they move customers in and out pretty fast. But be prepared for a well worth it wait. Excellent choices on food, great atmosphere. Friendly staff.

The breakfast food quality was excellent. Complimentary muffin good too. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The ambience and parking space good too. To top it up, it is not expensive either…
Great place, we had to wait a while for a table as they were pretty busy. The food was great, service was great. I loved the train and tracks on the ceiling.

Great place with an old school dîner feel. My son loved the chicken and waffles. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast. My was good, but the chicken fried steak was a little salty. I will go back and I am glad it is still good, Have not been back in 13 years, just moved back. Great place for breakfast. Expect a wait time, I went on a Saturday, late morning.
This place is a solid 4 stars for us. What we liked: Hashbrowns-flavorful Bacon (thick, tasty, and crispy) 🤤 Eggs and omelet were good. Not excellent, but good. You can tell there's some history here. And the trains chugging along above your heads is fun. Free warm blueberry muffins. What were 4 stars: Belgium waffle was dry, not much on taste Hashbrown quantity is less than we get at other breakfast places Not much for pie variety for a place that boasts about it's pies. (Chocolate creme, apple, cherry, pecan) No ice cream option (did have whipped cream) Place needs an update. Just looks and feels a dingy and outdated. Only 2 single holers for bathrooms.
My order was kinda misplaced or something or I'd give 5 stars. Everyone around me who ordered after I did got their orders and I waited a while. But staff was wonderful and busy and happy as is all of Andy's. I love the place and hope when i move to Dallas I find such a place there. The breakfast plate of cheese enchiladas with 2 over-easy eggs was DELICIOUS!! My coffee cup was kept full. It was 10 am and people waiting for booths so I sat at the counter alone and felt welcome. It's always crowded no matter the time of day so may have to wait. Well worth it.
Andy's Country Kitchen: A Local Gem Where the Trains Run on Time (and the food is like home cooking). On a quest for authentic local flavor in Corpus Christi, Google led us to Andy's Country Kitchen, and boy, are we glad it did! We rolled in around noon, expecting a wait, but were whisked right to a table. Score one for immediate gratification! Stepping inside, you immediately realize this isn't your average chain restaurant. The decor is a delightful mix of aged wood, an abundance of greenery, and – wait for it – a model train that chugs along above your head! It's not fancy or trendy, but it's got a unique, quirky charm that just feels fun. Yes, it's a bit cozy (some might say "snug," especially when it's bustling), but they're clearly maximizing space to get all that deliciousness out to the hungry masses. Our server was efficient and friendly, guiding us through a menu loaded with comforting foods, including breakfast. And comforting it was! This is good, hearty, honest-to-goodness downhome cooking. The portions are generous and the food arrived surprisingly quickly. The prices? Very fair for the quality and quantity – a rare and beautiful thing these days. What truly sealed the deal for me was the distinct lack of obvious tourists. This felt like a genuine local hangout, which, as a discerning traveler, I wholeheartedly appreciate. If I lived in Corpus Christi, I'd be a regular fixture at Andy's. It's the kind of place where you leave feeling full, and happy. Don't expect white tablecloths; expect good food, good vibes, and maybe a little elbow room negotiation. Highly recommend for a truly local taste!

Food was delicious, prices are a bit high like $5 for an add on piece of ham. Pretty cool space to eat in and the service was decent.
The food was greasy and soggy. My husband specifically requested his catfish to be fried hard. It was soggy. My sandwich was greasy and salty. The staff were short with customers. Staff seemed …

Pancakes were not as good as we had hoped from reviews. Chicken fried steak was very tasty. There was a bug crawling on the edge of my coffee saucer. I have a very strong stomach and have eaten in many foreign countries where cleanliness is questionable. I didn't say anything because I didn't want my father and daughter to freak out. I examined food and utensils meticulously and didn't see anything questionable. No military or veterans discounts.
There was a bit of a wait, but we were seated rather quickly. There was a longer wait for our food to arrive. The food was mediocre , but nothing that I would wait in line for. I didn't like the fact that they charge you for a to go cup of fountain water without telling you. We requested to go cups because something was in our regular glass and our waitress saw it and apologize about it. The biscuits were cold. The steak was seasoned but was a little too tough. We saw our waitress every now and again being their was so many people they had to wait on.
Disappointed, 3rd time here from San Antonio. I liked the place , but on this visit we had an unexpected visitor (roach) and I’m so grossed out. I did tell the manager and he stated that they had pest control spray the day before, (which is a good thing) however, that could be him saving face for the business. Still paid for our meals and tipped 20 percent, and I have no problem with that. We just won’t be back, if they’re out roaming around while people are dining, I can’t imagine how many there are when it’s closed. I barely eat out anymore because of this.
I know this is a staple in Corpus, but the last few times we’ve been here, it’s only gone downhill which it’s a little sad because this used to be our go to place for breakfast on the weekends. The muffins are a nice little treat while we wait for our food. We normally go here for the Chicken Fried Steak, and the most recent time we came, I couldn’t even finish it. When our food got to our table, the first time I noticed was the amount of grease on our steak. I had to use a couple napkins to dab off the grease. I also noticed how sloppy it is when it came to plating, I’m not saying it needs to be some kind of Michelin star plating, but the hashbrowns seems like it just gets thrown onto the plate, and half the time there are hardly any crispy edges to them. I don’t think we will be coming back nor recommending this place here anymore.
The good service and atmosphere were overshadowed by lackluster food. Dry omelettes, incorrectly prepared orders from the kitchen, and bland hash browns, made for a disappointing breakfast. My omelette was last to come out to the table because the kitchen forgot the cheese and they decided to just throw it on top of the omelette. Looked very lazy and unappealing. Other items from our order were also prepared wrong. I will try again another day, because management took care of us, but the food prep needs to improve next time.
15 minutes from the time we were seated until our waitress came by to see us. 25 more minutes until we got our food. I ordered a BLT which you wouldn’t think would take so long to make. The Mac n cheese is 100% just frozen microwaveable stouffers that was soupy and flavorless. The only redeeming quality was the free blueberry muffins for the table. Maybe it was an off day, but I personally have no plans to return here for food that resembles that of a tv dinner.
Well this was our first time visiting this establishment. Sad to say but they dropped the ball on the service. I ordered chicken and waffles and the rest of my party got their food first. My food s…
I wouldn’t even give this place one star. I waited an hour and 30 minutes for my food after being seated; only to be served cold, undercooked tilapia and shrimp. Absolutely unacceptable. To make matters worse, they still expected me to pay for their terrible service. A complete waste of time. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
