Ailyn was our server for my bday lunch & she was so sweet & attentive. I asked her what she would suggest for my bday dessert & she highly recommended the Peach Cobbler (below) & it was a winner considering I typically order anything chocolate. Thank you for the kind service as we usually lunch here at least once a month, so we'll be back sooner than later..! ~CCG
We stopped at the Cotton Patch yesterday while traveling home from Tomboll to Aubrey and it did not disappoint. We were seated immediately and our server Lacie took very good care of all our needs. She stopped by our table several times to make sure our drinks were full, give us more rolls, make sure our food came out of the kitchen correct. Everything was delicious. I'm just sorry we didn't leave room for dessert.
Lacie was very attentive. Food was great. Only disappointment was some of the menu items we love have been removed. No Cesar salad, potatoe cheese soup, chili or corn bread muffins.
Great atmosphere. Very clean. The food was delicious. Prices were good....$6 kids meals! Layla was our server. She was very friendly and prompt, always asking if we needed anything. Great experience overall.
My family and I visited this location for the first time and I must say that I will visit again. Our waitress Ms. Lacey/Lacy was very nice and attentive to what we needed and wanted. I tried the Lavender lemonade (wasn’t a fan) and she changed it out and made sure we had what we needed the whole time we were there. At the time that we visited they were giving me funds that came in to the flood relief.
My first visit to Cotton Patch was a delightful experience! I was on my way to Houston and decided to stop for some Southern food on the journey back home, and this spot did not disappoint. Right from the start, the staff was incredibly friendly—the hostess greeted us promptly, and our waitress was attentive throughout. We began with complimentary rolls and butter, which set a welcoming tone. I opted to start with the fried pickles, and they were fantastic—crunchy, not too salty, and served with a delicious ranch dip. For my main course, I chose the chicken fried chicken with broccoli casserole and garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was incredibly juicy with a perfectly crispy crust, and the sides were flavorful and well-prepared. To top off the meal, we had the peach cobbler with ice cream for dessert. While the flavors were great, I was hoping for a firmer, golden crust on the cobbler—it was a bit softer than I prefer. Overall, my experience at Cotton Patch was excellent, and I would definitely return to try more of their menu. It's a great spot for anyone looking for delicious Southern comfort food with a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service.
Oh my goodness!! I am so very happy we stopped here for lunch ! Everything was great ! Definitely, no complaints here. Friendly staff always came around to check up upon us.. Made sure we were taken care of. My grandchildren ate all of their food. Next time I am back in the area I will definitely be stopping and trying something else new because I am sure it will be just as good as today’s menu.
Staying in town for business and decided I wanted to try some of the local cuisine. I was not disappointed and was happily surprised. We were seated immediately, and the waitress was ready to take our drink order. They have daily specials, so my husband ordered chicken fried steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and broccoli, which cost $9. I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, which comes with 2 sides. Since the plate already comes with fries, i ordered side salad and baked squash. The plates were massive, and they were not skimpy on portions. Everything was delicious, and we could only eat 1/2 our plates. We were given baskets of homemade biscuits that were soft, hot, and fresh. If I ever head this way again, I've got to make a stop here again
We had a fabulous meal! We each ordered a different selection and they were delicious! The rolls and whipped butter really add that extra homemade dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed with Texas based art and historical prints. They also offer a complete bar with TV to dine, enjoy a beverage and watch the game. Family friendly dining with all the adult perks!

Good fresh food, almost didn't stop due to low stars but I'm picky and the food was good. server was attentive as well
The kids Mac and cheese is good and creamy and the steak was good, chicken fried chicken was excellent. Waiter was very attentive and friendly.

Great food! You can tell how good the restaurant is by how full the parking lot is. We went on a Sunday, we had a 25min wait…. But well worth it! It was our first time at the Cotton Patch, definite…
Excellent food and staff. Very large portions. Great variety to choose from. We had the steak fingers and chicken Alfredo.
Lacie was an excellent server. I wish they hadn’t been out of hush puppies but that’s OK. She let me sub it for mac & cheese this time. My family of four overall had a great experience with the food and service.
Preslee was such a sweet amazing waitress! Probably some of the best service we’ve received there. Highly recommend asking for her when you go.
A friend and I stopped in for a quick meal on our way home to Houston from a visit to Dallas. The handsome red-headed young man who seated us called me ma'am. I.... have a beard? I'm also balding? So that was awkward. He was polite and friendly, however. Our server turned out to be Lacie. It took awhile for her to finally get to our table and take our drink order. She checked in with us just once in the middle of the meal, but afterwards, there was a long, long wait for the checks to arrive. Once she came by and confirmed split checks, she added my drink to his order. She had to correct that. More wait time. The long waits kinda made me had wished that the dude that called me ma'am had been our server... at least he was attentive to his tables multiple times throughout their dining experience and was getting them turned quickly.
We stopped in for dinner here passing through and had a good experience. It had been awhile since we had been to a Cotton Patch Cafe, so my wife was craving the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and white gravy. She loved it. My daughter enjoyed her burger and fries. I tried the steak fingers and they were ok. They had a little too much breading for my liking, but they were still good. The Cajun cheese bites were a good appetizer. They had a little kick to them, but not overpowering. This location is spacious with plenty of tables and booths and some seating at the bar. We were able to get a seat without a wait (6pm Friday). Our service was great. Definitely worth checking out.
My first visit was 5 starts pork Chop , cooked to perfection, perfect size, flavor. 😍My second visit 2 weeks later was a 3 star, beef tips, great flavor BUT I would say it was a little too much mashed potatoes 🥔 with 5 small beef tips. dish looked huge but disappointing that all was potato . If that would have been my first time I would have never tried again . Planning on going back a have a 3rd time hopping it will be like the 1st time . Service same first time there was someone on the door that welcomed us, second time no one , and it was not crowded to justify.
If Texas Roadhouse and Black Bear Diner adopted a baby, this would be it. We flew in for the eclipse, and stopped here the night before. We came in about an hour before close. We were seated quickly and able to order right away. After ordering, we were brought out a basket of rolls. They were just alright. They were a little dry, and possibly had been baked earlier in the day. Three of us got chicken fried steak, and one got the avocado burger. The chicken fried steak was pretty tasty, but I asked for extra gravy. The waiter advised the mac-n-cheese was house made, not the boxed stuff. It looked like it probably was house made, but it tasted the same as boxed mac. The avocado burger was missing the avocado, but otherwise acceptable. Prices were fair. Wait staff was friendly. When we needed water refill, instead of refilling our cups, he brought out four more glasses, so now we had 8 cups of water cluttering the table. Kind of weird. Solid four stars. If we went back and had more time, I'd probably look for another restaurant.
Where to start? The food was great and so was the service. There were a few things that I didn't like. For one, some of the booth cushions were torn and ripped up. Some of them even had black tape on them. The barriers that were put up probably during the Covidd Era that separated the booths were totally nasty and needed to be wiped down and cleaned. It appeared that someone had sneezed one one. It was just not appealing. The floor needed to be swept and picked up also. So that's why I gave the atmosphere 3 stars. Everything else was good. I will probably go back there again, I just hope that they clean up better and replace some of the booth seat cushions.
Got chicken fried steak, sweet potato, green beans and coffee. All of it was good but coffee took awhile to get to the table! I'd go back again tho!

Food wasn’t worth the price charging. It wasn’t bad just not really good (more ok ish). Chicken fried steak was overcooked and not very flavorful, the burger meat was ok but the veggies were super soggy like they’d been sitting out. The best tasting part of the whole meal was the rolls served. Plenty of seating for large parties or small parties. Our waitress was super friendly and tended to everyone great. Food wait wasn’t very long either. Bathroom smell was overwhelming, like a zoo in the men’s. Very comfortable atmosphere and good decor.

2.25 stars... (11/23/2025) Very disappointing.😞 Cotton Patch has always been reliable before but today was a bummer. We have eaten here many times before. Today, there were 5 of us. Not sure if there is new management but the 1st thing we noticed were the rolls. Not only were they considerably smaller but they were cold and didn't taste fresh. When they brought our entrées, the plates were hot but the food itself was luke warm at best. 2 of us had the Chicken Fried Steak, 1 had the Tilapia plate, 1 had the Shrimp plate and 1 had the Meatloaf plate. The one with the Meatloaf ate only several bites. I will give the management credit since they did not charge her for the Meatloaf plate. Granted it was busy but we were still surprised at the lack of quality. Hopefully, this was just an aberration.

We went there last night for first time, they brought out our food and my pork chop was cold,my mashed potatoes were cold and my wife's squash casserole was cold, they brought out new food and it was all hot like it should have been first time. Then we ask for dessert and waited 20 minutes and waiter finally said he was sorry they were backed up and never brought it. How hard and long dies it take to get the dessert from the kitchen and out on a plate, it wasn't like they were having to make the dessert.
