Mountain Mike's Pizza

Went for the first time just the other night - we absolutely loved it. Firstly, the pizza is delicious. Secondly, we had a nice conversation with the owner (Evette), who is a fascinating person with a special history all her own. Since then, we just can't stop talking about what a good time we had, and how great the food is, and we are definitely going back soon! If you haven't tried Mountain Mike's on 17th in Newport, you must give it a go!

Really solid pizza! I love the thin crust crispy curly pepperoni. Their regular crust is also great but a bit heavy for me. Even my Italian boyfriend approves of Mountain Mikes as one of the best “American” style pizzas in town. Do yourself a favor and try it out

I don’t usually leave reviews, but after our visit, I felt like this one was worth mentioning. My family and I went in for a simple lunch and ended up having a really great experience. The pizza exceeded all expectations. The crust had a nice crisp, the toppings were generous and the pepperoni is unlike any other. It tasted fresh and well made. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. A young man named Evan helped us out, and he was genuinely kind and patient. We took our time deciding on toppings and he didn’t rush us at all. He even made a recommendation that ended up being a really good call. At one point he approached and asked how our meal was and when we asked if it was possible to change the channel to something our family would enjoy he spent the time to search through the channels with us until we found the specific channel we were interested in. Instead of just saying no and walking away, Evan came over and helped us get it sorted. It was a small thing, but it made a difference. You can tell when someone actually cares about making others feel comfortable. The restaurant itself felt clean and welcoming. There were other families there, and it had that relaxed, comfortable vibe you want for a casual pizza. Overall, it was just a solid experience. Good food, friendly service, and a place we’ll definitely come back to.

Mountain Mike’s Pizza is the spot. Their pizza is very delicious and they really hook it up with the toppings. The crust is not too thick or fluffy, it’s the perfect amount of dough. Their pazookis are delicious too. My son is six years old and he’s super picky with food, but he loved it here and definitely wants to come back every time, especially for the pazookis.

Tried the Everest pizza at Mountain Mike’s Pizza today and loved it! 🍕 The crust is soft on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside, and the toppings are super generous — every slice is loaded with cheese and fresh ingredients. The flavor is amazing, well-balanced, and very satisfying. Service was excellent, quick, and friendly. The place is clean and welcoming, perfect for dining in or taking out. I’ll definitely be back!

They make their own Dough on site ! Oh. And great app. This checks all the boxes of a great carry out delivery or visit . I get it now after I went for it at lunch . And that deals worth it . See the dough making room in hb too. Pretty cool they do this place very well the staff is awesome 👍. They hav delivery with their car for direct hand offs

Awesome service the XL dough wasn’t up to par so phone hostess called back and explained the issue and decided to give me two large pizzas for the inconvenience. Great work I will return because you thought of me as a returning customer and boy I sure will be. Excellence is the entire experience

Pizza was great and had a nice selection of draft beer. Staff was nice and helpful. Chip was especially helpful and made me feel welcome and gave great customer service. Bathrooms were also nice and clean and the atmosphere was nice. Overall I only have good things to say, will be back soon!

We went for the basic pepperoni pizza for our first visit. Such excellent pizza. Both soft and crispy at the same time. Sauce was good. We also tried the cinnamon sugar dessert pizza. Very tasty. All the staff were so very kind and helpful and friendly. They constantly came to check on us out on the patio. We will be visiting again, for sure.

Last night at my sons soccer pizza party, changed my opinion drastically on mountain Mikes. Pizza was actually really good (had 3 slices). My kids loved it even if they said the pepperoni was spicy. They loved it. The games section makes it very family friendly.

I am hard on pizza reviews since I operated and owned pizza places for 20 years. So take this with a grain of salt. Fun little place to walk into. Has some arcade games to keep kids busy. Service was pleasant and quick. Personable person at the counter. Pizza was ok. I ordered a 6" with mushroom and sundried tomatoes. Great variety of toppings to choose from. Pizza was served in about 10 min. Look appetizing. Overall good but nothing great about it. I will say the topping were plentiful which was refreshing. Sauce did add to the flavor profile and crust was just there.

We went to grab some pizza after visiting the local butchery across the street. This was our first time at a Mountain Mikes Pizza place. Our first pizza was given to the wrong customers and they took a slice off. After realizing it wasn’t theirs, they put the slice back on and then the workers tried to give our family the same pizza that the other customer touched and returned. We then had to wait an additional 20 minutes for a new pizza to be made. So while waiting 45+ minutes, I asked for ranch and then after all that, charged for the ranch too lol. We were thoroughly disappointed. I also believe we heard the manager or someone higher up talking bad about my mother in law for asking for a new pizza. Overall a mediocre experience.

Sorry to say that the quality to the price of their Pizzas are not equal. When purchasing a large pizza that exceeds the food quality ( above $30.00 )I have to say move on and find a different place to eat. My main concern was the Dough! Tastes like pre Fab and NOT a traditional style hand tossed dough.

The order was wrong (we specifically requested certain toppings not be included) and the crust tasted almost like it was frost bitten and the lettuce for salad was wilted. We loved this place and were loyal customers but the service and quality were so bad we didn’t even feel like it was the same restaurant. Our family normally eats every bite but we had about 80 percent of dinner left over. It did not appear busy but staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed- if they are too busy with takeout perhaps they need more staff. We have not been for a couple of months with a new baby but we spoke with other patrons that night and they claimed this was the second time they experienced a bad experience and they were hoping it would be better and they were giving the location another chance… I don’t know if it would be worth dropping over a hundred dollars to try them again despite having numerous fabulous experiences as it seems it is an emerging trend.

Ordered pizza, Gave credit credentials over the phone, and the pizza never showed up! What? We waited an hour and a half and finally called and nobody answered?! That was it folks! Update: Headquarters notified me and told me they took this seriously, especially since they didn't even bother to call me, and that they would notify the franchise owner personally, and that they should get back to me within 5 days. 5 days later, a low level employee called me and told me he wanted to keep my money until the next time I ordered a pizza. There was no real apology. A real apology would've been at least a discount in the future. There was none of that. I wouldn't want to face going through hunger pains again because the staff at Mountain Mikes Pizza doesn't care about you one bit. Proof is in their apology I just mentioned. Also, I don't think they're paid well because they always beg you for tips for the delivery guy when you're just trying to call and order a pizza. Personally for me, I avoid places where the employees are always begging for tips, it's always so uncomfortable.

Sorry to say but I was super disappointed. The worst pizza I've ever had the only thing I really enjoyed was a soda for the price it could have went to 7-Eleven and got a better Pizza I should have realize that it was bad when there was no customers in there at lunch time. Not recommended at all

I had no glue it was mine u til im just waiting no communication nothing I asked for manager Kyle never walk up to say that’s him Sean is the one inside the pizza over. They didn’t apologize offer me. Drink nothing just blank stares this bullshit
