I had a good time. Im on a diet so I couldnt eat all that. Got a box and was good to go. The brisket was good. The pulled pork (what I could eat ) tasted well. The okra was very good and I finished off the spinach. The food was filling and tasted well. The sauce does spice things up some. I do recommend
5/5 2022-02-12_1544 Always a good fast-food barbecue place. Higher quality level. Then most other "fast-food" or "lunch-food" Competition. Only better barbecue is at mom and pop. Or hole in the wall. Type establishments. Dicky's provides while less in legendary potential. As some American barbecue achieves. Still reaches far and supercedes established national "chains". With whom Dicky's competes.
The workers I talked to were Great. My husband and daughter loved your cookies. We ordered through GrubHub. Bad idea the food had been up for over an hour before it got here. So it was room temperature. That wasn't y'all's fault. If was good food, bet even better fresh.
The ribs were juicy and melting your mouth good. I wasn’t sure what order but I went with the 3 meat plate and it was enough for two people. The workers behind the counter I think their names were Dustin and Colton were very friendly and helpful when I wasn’t sure what to order. Very good customer service and food. We will be back again. Keep up the good work.
Shawn is our favorite thing about visiting Dickey's! The food is always good and he serves it with pride and a smiling face. He's been at this location as long as we can remember and he is awesome! Love the smoked turkey breast and the brisket. Thanks for always making our dining experience first rate.

Shaun has always been so friendly and welcoming when I go to this restaurant. I can tell when he has been working because the food tastes perfect when he's there. They always greet me with a smile and make sure I am happy with my food. I have noticed lately that the portions seem to be less than they were before. I feel like I pay quite a bit for my meal but they could be more generous with meat. I got a three meat plate and only received four ribs and a few slices of brisket. I am sure they have a ton of food at the end of the night that gets wasted, they should probably just give us more for our money so we actually want to keep coming back. I spoke to the manager Travis about that and he said he will take that feedback to Corporate. The location is good, the food is good, I just feel they need to market themselves better, and offer more value proposition to their clienetele. The better deal I receive, the more often I will come back. I feel if I am going to spend $20 it isn't very difficult to give me a little more meat, and I know mac and cheese isn't expensive. For instance, I could probably go to Chili's and get a half a wrack of ribs or more for that price I'm not sure. All and all, I love this restaurant and I hope to see them improving over the years. Especially with new management and owner.
Food is good but today was the second time I have ordered a loaded baked potato with brisket and realized when I got home that they didn’t put the meat on it!!! Not acceptable for the amount of money being spent. Called the first time and they said they would give us a free one next time but husband forgets to use it. Didn’t bother this time and it was cold and rainy so not going back to get ordered fix. Totally aggravating!
I went on Saturday evening. It's always short staffed at this location. Two people working the entire operation is not enough, because the dining room suffers tremendously. The food is always good. Not great, but good. They were out of smoked turkey (again). No butter on the rolls (again)...honestly, why do you have the melted butter machine if you're NEVER going to use it??? Also, we ordered extra pickles...no pickles in/on any of the orders. The two employees that were there were nice. Nothing spectacular, but definitely not rude or anything. They were doing their best I guess. The dining room DEFINITELY needed tending to. Multiple tables needed to be cleaned off and/or wiped down. The trash cans were getting full. There was NO lemonade in the lemonade machine. There was NO iced tea in either container (sweet or unsweet). Much to my surprise, there was ice cream in the ice cream machine (it's almost always empty when we dine in, but on this particular night it was a takeout order). If the owner(s) would staff 1 more person per shift, and actually give a damn about stocking everything on the menu, this place could be a hit.
Have tried twice. First time sweaty long hair guy cutting meats. Not very clean in the restaurant. Second time cashier dude had no clue what he was doing. Little lady was trying her best. Food was good but not really hot. Drink machine was mostly broken. Overflowing garbage and extremely dirty restaurant.

At least the sides were okay. How something like this makes it to the plate is astounding. [And no, I am not going to be emailing the social media manager of an eatery, so do not bother with a copy pasta response, please.]
Floors look dirty and bathrooms need deep cleaning bad at least the women’s side for sure . I got ribs and they were so tough to eat , I had to cook them more to get tender at home and I was hungry for lunch not supper .
They put almost no toppings on our Bakers and the women's bathroom is flithy.

I know the food is not the best, however everytime i order takeout they always have something wrong, i order a pulled pork sandwich fully dressed and came plain. A 3 meat meat plate with cheedar sausage and it came with regular sausage, a side of onion rings and baked potato casserole and they give me 2 potatoes, i know you can go out of some items but at least you should be worried about telling the costumer/druver that you dont have what you asked for.

HOW does this business stay open ? The restaurant is filthy dirty disgusting! White male employee with long hair is rude to customers and other employees alike ! Watched him mistreat his coworker, who was a very nice young man. Also watched him proceed to get on his phone and text while I was standing there waiting for him to fix my order. Is this acceptable to Dickeys? I have to assume so bc he was very bold standing in my face texting on his phone for over 60 seconds before he decided to make my order. It's painfully clear he will suffer zero repercussions for his actions. I have been here in quite some time bc I was grossed out by how dirty it was on a previous visit. It's gotten worse since then, which I never thought possible. The sandwiches were made wrong on top of everything else. PLEASE do not just give a generic response to this review, and actually find out what is going on and FIX IT!!! Evening crew on Monday (today's date), white male, long hair, yellow shirt. If he is so miserable that he mistreats coworkers and customer's, and he'd clearly prefer to be on his phone instead of helping customer's. For the price and the lack of well everything, I was definitely legally robbed. Do yourself a favor and don't even go thinking maybe this was a one off and it could be better whatever day you choose to go here. Go elsewhere. Trust me !!!!!
Very nasty place Ice cream machine had ice cream all on it no one clean up the food was nasty green bean and mash potatoes had a weird taste to it and the employees no uniform there also playing video in the open area on there phone playing video with x rated song the bread they gave wasn’t even toasted will not be back here ever
was on the phone cussing about how he hasn’t gotten enough hours. i was here picking up a doordash and it took about 10 minutes and this went on the entire time i was here. very unprofessional and the other employee working seemed to be doing everything themselves. this was 7:01 on January 9th.
Don't expect much from the staff. I had one item... Brisket and they couldn't get it right. They kind of reminded me of the not so bright aliens from the movie Men in Black.
We got to the store and they were about to close and we got their and they said they didn’t have mac&cheese and the Mac and cheese was sitting right their but they didn’t feel like making it because they are lazy and as soon as we left out they locked the door way before the closing time they were so disrespectful and show so sympathy worst workers at a fast food that we had experienced!! FIRE THEM ASAP NO ROCKY probably the worst customer service ever never seen somebody so lazy to serve us food and not somebody who was willing to work and serve us food .
I did take out. Wanted a 3 meat plate and was told that they were out of both sausages. I thought about the turkey but didn't like how it looked. I went with ribs and brisket instead. They were out of baked beans so I got the cold salty mac & cheese, and cold potatoe casserole. Why was it served to me cold? Who knows, maybe your employees don't care. The ribs were horrible and the brisket was just ok. Almost forgot the good part. So they were also out of lids so they decided to cover my side containers with empty side containers. Which I didn't notice until I made it home. Try to imagine how that looked when I pulled my order out the bag. Total waste of my hard earned money. One more thing the restaurant was dirty. Especially behind the counter area.
I wish I would have read the reviews today. I am a long time costumer and heartbroken that service and food quality has went down. I took two bites of my sandwich and found a long hair in my sandwich. The fried okra was hard inside and the mac and cheese has an awful smell to it. Thirty dollars down the drain and I will take my business elsewhere.

Being out of everything has become a reoccurring problem when I go to this dickeys. Nothing fried (okra, onion petals, etc.) They advertise fries as a base for their smoke stacks...no fries. Out of Barq's and Dr. Pepper. The guys working in the store are not the reason for the low service rating...it's for management for not having half of what's on their menu. This is sad.
Went to get some brisket and traditional BBQ sides. You know, the meat that should break off with a twist of a fork and fresh warm sides that you pay $18 a plate for... What we got was stiff hunks of meat that tasted more like roast beef than brisket and ALL 4 of our sides were barely room temp. I never leave a plate with food on it, but today I just couldn't finish it. The store stunk like burning grease, and everything was sticky. The help there was fine, but didn't really seem too excited to be there. We won't be going back.
I love Dickeys BBQ but this location is just gross. Today we gave them another shot after even getting spoiled potatoes salad months ago. Well their air condition doesn't work employees forehead sweat is DRIPPING INTO THE FOOD. If I were owner/management I would definitely have the air condition serviced before opening for customers. Last time we will be eating here for sure.
Total garbage. Both Pulled pork combos looked like a kids meal. Ordered 3 meat combo, left out one side. Sliced brisket was cold and hard as a rock! Paid for extra barbecue sauce, and did not receive it. For the prices, the quality and quantity should be much better. They should be ashamed of themselves. Called to let them know, and they could care less! Never again Dicky!
I couldn't wait to get back to our room to post this review. I'm baffled that this place is still up and running.We went on 9/27/24 at around 7:40pm. There was three workers, if you could call them that. The guy cutting the meat could care less, he wouldn't speak up when you could get a word out of him. The sides kid was clueless. To put the bake potatoes casserole I ordered in the small bowl he used the side wall of the second bowl to pack it in. When it came to frying our okra and onion rings, he dumped a scoop in the fry basket spilling 1/4 of it on the floor and loose in the frier. When they were done he dumps the basket in the serving container again spilling a 1/4 on the floor. The other guy walked to and from his vehicle 3 times. I don't know what his job was. As we tried to eat our food I watched the guy that was serving the meat go change out the trash bags with his gloves then go right back to cutting the meat with the same gloves. This place is garbage. I will never be back.
The first male to help us was rude which we overlooked because we were hungry. The loaded potato casserole was not warm and had zero taste - lacked the “loaded” part. Diet Coke was flat, high chairs were disgusting and sticky. The younger male that checked us out was friendly but said he would have to “trust that we wouldn’t use our points for our 2 meat place again because he didn’t have a way to scan our app.” I don’t understand how you can be a franchise, offer an app with rewards and then not be able to utilize said app within your store. BUT WHAT TOOK THE CAKE was the first male worker that PLATED OUR MEAT moments before walked by us, went into the restroom near our table and started throwing up extremely loud. We immediately stopped eating, threw away FIVE PLATES OF FOOD and left. Two plates pictured below. If there was less than one star, that’s what I would rate this establishment. Disgusting and unacceptable.
No longer worth the trip. I have been coming here for several years and the food was always top notch for a chain restaurant. Now this place suffers from lack of management, lack of care, or both. We went just before noon, which is prime lunch time and certainly not a time you would expect many food items to be not available. We were greeted when we walked in the restaurant not with a hello, but with a whole long list of food items that were not available. There was a lack of lids for condiments, making taking extra sauce to go treacherous. Out of all the tables, only one was stocked with a roll of paper tolls, and it was occupied, so no paper towels were available. The ice cream cone box was also completely empty. The lemonade dispensor was no longer there yet lemonade was still listed in the app as available. No lids were on the sweet tea dispensors allowing the tea to become contaminated by anything airborne. There was also another glaring health code violation. All of the straws were unwrapped and in a large cup, meaning in order to grab a straw you would come in contact with and contaminate every other straw in the container. All food service straws in Louisiana should be individually wrapped or dispensed from a commercial style dispensor.The whole experience was unacceptable and I am disappointed because I use to enjoy my trips here. No TLC has been given to this place. Most of the window signs are extremely faded and the menus are covered with many unsightly scratch outs.

I received the order with the receipt and the kitchen ticket was included in the unsealed bag as well. I know my order was conveyed properly to the restaurant because the receipts are in the bag! I open the containers and the ppl at this establishment should be ashamed. How can you package this junk and send it out with unknown delivery ppl in unsealed bags? THIS SLOP THEY SENT ME HAS ME HIGHLY UPSET! “Bbq brisket slider” aka old, brown, un-sauced meat on the tip end of STALE French bread. 3 small cups of macaroni and cheese and 4 LARGE SCOOPS OF MASHED POTATOES WITH SHREDDED CHEESE. THAT IS WHAT WAS IN MY UNSEALED BAG! No utensils, no condiments and no bbq sauce! Please see the receipt for what I purchased and tell me who at this restaurant put this bag together to send to a human being? This is a slop bag for a stray dog! SMH I should have read the reviews! Chicken, pork, and brisket were way overcooked, dry, like chewing sawdust. Your sweet sauce isn't sweet. It's tangy. Bake beans are basic. Coleslaw wasn't cold. Mashed potatoes with cheese on top is NOT a casserole. Snd why is a piece of pie in a paper bag? Don't get the pecan pie either. It taste nothing like Pecan Pie!! Waste of money
I placed an order with the Hwy 21 location of Dickies in Covington LA. The mac n cheese that I was given was sour/bad. I have included a pic below. It was totally inedible. I called the location and the customer service individual at that location told me “she didn’t believe the mac was bad because she took it from a bag” She offered for me to bring the mac n cheese back and give me more, but I was already back at work and did not have time to do so. Also, I didn’t want another bad mac n cheese from the same bag. I called again, asked to speak to the manager. When she came on the phone, she told me she would refund. She never refunded me. Its been over a week.

Have not been in a long time got a email for the bogo free baked potato so me and the wife thought we would go for lunch and try it out! The guy behind the counter was on his phone and ignored us and the lady was sitting at one of the dinning tables and ignored us. She was reluctant to honor the deal but was nice enough to honor it and when the food came out it was a cold hard potato with cold butter cold cheese and a side packet of sour cream and the brisket looked like it was boiled not smoked and was completely un eatable. We asked them to please fix the issue and he stuck it in the oven which just made it warm and hard did not fix the issue at all and when I asked for my refund she was not even surprised and gave it right back. Will not be going here again which is to bad used to be a good establishment was just too pricy but was always good food
I honestly don’t know how this place is still open. My experience at this Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was absolutely terrible. The food was cold, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. They even forgot to make part of my order, and I had to remind them just to get what I paid for. What really sealed it was the complete lack of care from the staff. The guy making the food was hitting a vape right there on the line — yes, in the food prep area — and complaining the entire time about how “everyone else is lazy.” The irony was unreal, because he was barely doing his job himself. You could tell none of the employees wanted to be there, and it showed in every detail. The place looked unclean, unorganized, and totally unmanaged. No one seemed to take any pride in what they were serving or how they were representing the Dickey’s brand. It felt like a place that just gave up on caring — about the food, the customers, or basic cleanliness. If you value good food, decent service, or basic hygiene, do yourself a favor and skip this location. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Placed online order for employees at my company. After order was placed I received a call that the smoker was broken and the meats that I ordered were not available. I cancelled the order and requested a refund since I had already paid $183.04 for the order and was told the owner would have to take care of it. Three weeks later and after numerous phone calls, still no refund. Travis, the manager has had different stories as to why the refund has not happened and has been very unprofessional. This has been a horrible experience.
Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. My family and I went to Dickey's last Friday as we had not been there in a long time and decided to give it a try again. When we walked in we noticed that no one else was in there so that should have been sign number one to leave. The place was kind of a mess and it was dirty especially in the kitchen area. We started ordering and my daughter got a kids chicken nugget plate which was 10 bucks so we were hoping it was decent for the price. We also got a pulled pork plate and a plate with brisket and sausage. They were out of most of the sides so it was a forced option to get cabbage slaw and potato salad and mac and cheese. The food was horrible and cold. The meat tasted like it had been sitting there all day. The staff was only 2 people and they could have cared a less that we were in there. They were rude and acted like we were inconveniences to them. Absolute the worst dining experience I've had. I will not be returning and this place should honestly close down because they have no business of serving food.
We tried to order our food and the manager was truly on something. High as a kite. Before asking us what we wanted he played music on his phone. He could hardly stand, falling against the counter. He finally asked for our order. Which we had to repeat our order several times. Also touching the food in the tray without gloves on. And he claimed to be the manager. What a shame. We won’t be going there ever again!!! Disgusting. We were talking about ordering for the holidays, but not now! I didn’t even want to give 1 star.
I ordered delivery. My receipt was taped to my bag. Half of the items received were wrong or missing. I spent $75 and ended up with only a few meats and a kids meat. Wrong sides for 2 of the meals, missing fries for 2 other meals. Im done with this place.
Placed online order for company lunch. After placing and paying for order received phone call that the smoker was broken so cancelled order and asked for credit card refund and was told the owner had to do that. 2 weeks later still so refund so called and spoke with Travis the manager and was told he would take care of it. Another week passes and spoke with Travis again and was told to contact the credit card company to deny the charge. Asked Travis for owner contact info and was told he could not give me that. I am currently waiting for corporate. Ridiculous series of events for $180.00. Travis was rude and unprofessional. Zero customer service and concern! Will not ever return there and warning to all others to not go here!
Great pictures of lean brisket on your website, but don't expect to get any, even when you specifically asked for it. We got a pile of grissel and fat, with a little meat.
Maybe the worst restaurant experience of my life. Ordered online pickup and they didn’t even have any ribs cooked so had to choose another meat. Ordered lemonade for my kids but nope they don’t have that either. I tell the kid working there that I paid for food that I’m not getting and he tells me they try to call the owner but he never answers. Then he immediately went back to watching anime on his phone. I get home and the two orders of fries for the kids aren’t even in the bag. What little food I did actually get I wouldn’t even feed a stray dog. This place should do everybody a favor and go out of business.
I cannot express the total dissatisfaction with this restaurant. 42 bucks for 2 plates ( a one meat and a two meat plate) with one small drink. No value. The slice brisket was shredded , worker sliced with the grain not against it. Far superior BBq out there for the price.
What happened to this place? We went here for years. We went for lunch after not eating here for a while and they were out of so many things. The place is disgusting and dirty. Paid over $75 for lunch and left grossed out with absolutely 0 plans to ever return. Stay away.
We were there at 11am. One employee was working the food station. The fried food was dark due to old grease. The ribs were cold. The brisket and turkey tasted like it was leftover. The tables were dirty from the day before. So disappointed!!!
Have not been in a long time got a email for the bogo free baked potato so me and the wife thought we would go for lunch and try it out! The guy behind the counter was on his phone and ignored us and the lady was sitting at one of the dinning tables and ignored us. She was reluctant to honor the deal but was nice enough to honor it and when the food came out it was a cold hard potato with cold butter cold cheese and a side packet of sour cream and the brisket looked like it was boiled not smoked and was completely un eatable. We asked them to please fix the issue and he stuck it in the oven which just made it warm and hard did not fix the issue at all and when I asked for my refund she was not even surprised and gave it right back. Will not be going here again which is to bad used to be a good establishment was just too pricy but was always good food

Placed online order for employees at my company. After order was placed I received a call that the smoker was broken and the meats that I ordered were not available. I cancelled the order and requested a refund since I had already paid $183.04 for the order and was told the owner would have to take care of it. Three weeks later and after numerous phone calls, still no refund. Travis, the manager has had different stories as to why the refund has not happened and has been very unprofessional. This has been a horrible experience.

Very nasty place Ice cream machine had ice cream all on it no one clean up the food was nasty green bean and mash potatoes had a weird taste to it and the employees no uniform there also playing video in the open area on there phone playing video with x rated song the bread they gave wasn’t even toasted will not be back here ever
We tried to order our food and the manager was truly on something. High as a kite. Before asking us what we wanted he played music on his phone. He could hardly stand, falling against the counter. He finally asked for our order. Which we had to repeat our order several times. Also touching the food in the tray without gloves on. And he claimed to be the manager. What a shame. We won’t be going there ever again!!! Disgusting. We were talking about ordering for the holidays, but not now! I didn’t even want to give 1 star.

I honestly don’t know how this place is still open. My experience at this Dickey’s Barbecue Pit was absolutely terrible. The food was cold, dry, and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. They even forgot to make part of my order, and I had to remind them just to get what I paid for. What really sealed it was the complete lack of care from the staff. The guy making the food was hitting a vape right there on the line — yes, in the food prep area — and complaining the entire time about how “everyone else is lazy.” The irony was unreal, because he was barely doing his job himself. You could tell none of the employees wanted to be there, and it showed in every detail. The place looked unclean, unorganized, and totally unmanaged. No one seemed to take any pride in what they were serving or how they were representing the Dickey’s brand. It felt like a place that just gave up on caring — about the food, the customers, or basic cleanliness. If you value good food, decent service, or basic hygiene, do yourself a favor and skip this location. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. My family and I went to Dickey's last Friday as we had not been there in a long time and decided to give it a try again. When we walked in we noticed that no one else was in there so that should have been sign number one to leave. The place was kind of a mess and it was dirty especially in the kitchen area. We started ordering and my daughter got a kids chicken nugget plate which was 10 bucks so we were hoping it was decent for the price. We also got a pulled pork plate and a plate with brisket and sausage. They were out of most of the sides so it was a forced option to get cabbage slaw and potato salad and mac and cheese. The food was horrible and cold. The meat tasted like it had been sitting there all day. The staff was only 2 people and they could have cared a less that we were in there. They were rude and acted like we were inconveniences to them. Absolute the worst dining experience I've had. I will not be returning and this place should honestly close down because they have no business of serving food.
