Had a great time at Goffs Manor in Crawley! I ordered a flat white, mac & cheese, and the beeramisu. Everything was really good. The atmosphere was lovely and the service excellent. Special thanks to Madalina, who does her job really well and made the experience even better. Definitely recommend!
Our first time dining into this place. Didn’t disappoint at all. They have a good sun trap space outside for their diners. Cozy and warm inside, fireplace adds to a great atmosphere. We were served by Danni, very hospitable and friendly. Food is great, my toddler finished off his plate. They have different promotions daily too.
We visited for my birthday Very warm welcome and directed us to a suitable table. Food was delicious and I enjoyed the badger brewery ale, fussy ale drinker here 🤣 Pudding was lovely Service was impeccable
Lovely dinner with the family. Excellent food and really good service
The best relaxing dinner I had in awhile, steak was nicely done, chips, salad, really good! But what is the one thing that impressed me was atmosphere! Seriously relaxed, little rooms with furnace, bookshelf’s, outside great terrace and all next to beautiful park!!! I really enjoyed it. I do wanna banter on one thing, bathrooms, what is going on with sink, why is hot water separate from cold?!? Should you first wash your hands in scolding waters of hell then cool them down or wash them in cold waters of white walkers and then melt them? :) On serious note this is good place and I will be back here!! Thank you
I love this venue. So much so I had my wedding party here. It's family friendly. Has excellent food. And service is always great. If you want the traditional country small pub experience. This place has it If you want a great outside, sitting in the sun experience. This place has it If you want a good restaurant experience. This place has it Overall excellent
I went for a late lunch and got the filly cheesesteak sandwhich and i am SO glad i did! Really tasty! Would 100% recommend! If you want to make it a heavier meal i would suggest getting a side of fries, but this was perfect for me! Service was fantastic and prices reasonable! Highly recommend this establishment! Thank you for a lovely late lunch :)
Lovely homely place great beer garden and food was yummy can't complain Service was excellent big thumbs up for the staff
We popped in for a quick spontaneous Valentine’s lunch ! We were attended to by two helpful and friendly girls (👍🏽) The food was well cooked and presented and a good price for two courses and a drink !! We would def recommend the desert was almost too much to eat but I managed 😂
Our meal on Sunday was very good indeed. The guy running the place was very pleasant as well. Nothing was too much trouble. We were made to feel very welcome on our first ever visit here.
Been here a few times now. Food is always awesome and delicious. Always cooked to perfection. Nice ambiance as well. We booked a table for Sunday dinner at 6pm but be careful, they run out fast! Lucky we got the last plate of roast beef and lucky we got extra yorkshires too!
Excellent food, the fish and chips was as good as any I have had , its was a beer batter, so crispy the cod was very tasty. I recommend this pub, has a good selection of beers and non alcoholic drinks.
Really lovely Sunday Roast in a relaxing and bright setting. Quick service. Friendly and smiley staff. Overall a lovely pub and restaurant.
Really good meal, fish and chips was excellent and my party enjoyed the meals they had, good selection of beer, well looked after and the team looking after us were great
Cannot recommend Goffs manor enough. We were supposed to have a garden party but due to the shocking British weather our garden was like a mud bath. With less than 24 hours notice they allowed us to hire a private area of their pub with a private bar with over 35 guests and a member of staff manning the bar the whole time. They could not have been more accommodating. It made such a stressful situation so much more calmer. Everyone had a lovely time! Thank you so much! We will definitely be back for more events in the future 🥰
Lovely place, nice ambience. Staff friendly and attentive. Food was nice but a few items off the menu as had been sold during the day. However, still several options available. Would return.
Our waiter Elliott was amazing 😃 1st class service, very attentive and had few good jokes to boot! Highly recommend the food and looking forward to the charity cake sale in a few weeks time!
Our server Danni was amazing as well as the rest of the team. Great atmosphere and the food was epic, we had their Sunday roast and was not disappointed... Will be going back!
After our flight was cancelled, my family and I decided to visit Goffs Manor as it was very close by to our hotel and we thought we’d give it a try. The pub had a lovely atmosphere with some nice ambient music playing throughout. When we entered we were immediately served by both Annie and Lewis, who were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The entire evening both of them were very polite and humorous, regularly checking in on us whilst serving our food and drinks. The menu was vast with many great veggie options for my daughter. The food arrived quickly and hot. Overall an excellent visit with lovely staff and amazing food. We’re planning on visiting family again in July and we will definitely be returning for more!
Stopped by for lunch. Friendly and efficient service from Danni. Food was really good and arrived quickly. Great experience.
Tilly was amazing, great to chat to, brilliant customer service. Willing to help, nothing more she could of done. Very understanding about wife GF allergy.
Amazing garden with very friendly staff, Erin and Tilly in particular stood out. Always greeted us at the bar with a smile, had friendly conversations and were overall just fantastic, will definitely be back!
Lovely meal in Goffs Manor, served by Maddie - will be coming back again and recommending
Lovely lunch today! Dog friendly area seems to have moved a little move into the centre which was lovely. Our waitor Elliot couldn’t have done more to help us, brought over dog treats, asked if we needed anything else etc. Food was brought over quickly, a swell as sauces that we requested. Overall vibe was lovely - very cosy with the fire, decorations and fairy lights. Would be great if the kids’ food could come out on plastic plates instead of china but only a small ammendment! Thanks again Elliot!
I’ve been here a few times now. I think it has a lovely atmosphere. It’s always warm and friendly. On the one occasion I had a problem with the food it was quickly exchanged without a fuss. It’s decent food and a good price. Special mention for Danni who’s served me on many occasions with energy and a smile. She gets an extra 5 stars 🌟
Erin you are AMAZING not only was she absolutely lovely she made me and my sister an absolutely delicious extremely yummyyyy espresso gingerbread martini not once but TWICE honestly it was the best espresso martini I have ever tasted. She’s such a sweetheart she even brought them over to us bless her. I hope she’s working the next time we visit❤️❤️
I came here for a solo dinner as I was staying in town for work. I wanted something more than the hotel had on offer and I am delighted to say I was very taken aback at the quality of service, ale and food I received. I look forward to coming back. The pie was particularly delicious.
Fantastic waitress called Tilly served us our food and drink, very speedy and bubbly young lady. Would definitely come here again as we are local.
A lovely pub and restaurant, had a little get together in the top half of the restaurant for about 40 people. Food and service was great.
I find pub culture and traditional places to eat very lacking these days. I'm very fortunate to have found Goff's Manor as a result, it itches that scratch of a good pub whilst being modern enough and different enough to be a wonderful experience. The staff are lovely, particularly Erin who served me and was very friendly. I tried a few pints throughout my visit and she was spot on every time. The beer was tasty, the lines clearly cleaned. I thought the food was tasty and well presented. Reasonably priced and received quickly. I will definitely be back again if I am in Crawley. I highly recommend his place. Clean, well looked after, quality, friendly and welcoming.
Nice, old pub. Service friendly. Shame door wide open in cold weather and no fires lit- when they have fire place's, otherwise could be cozy.
A very nice traditional pub. Cosy and welcoming. We enjoyed our time there. The food and drinks choice is good and reasonably priced. The steak pie was delicious as was the fish and chips. Good draught beer too. The young man who served us was extremely polite and helpful. It was a nice experience.
Nice place, especially for dog lovers. Excellent garden for a sunny day. Food good, but more than a little slow to arrive.
Really nice Sunday roast, nice atmosphere and the kids enjoyed the outside play area. Service was a bit slow, nice and friendly staff but there wasn't enough working
Delicious food. Tasty and well cooked and well presented. Good value for money if you chose wisely. I really liked that you could size down portions for a lighter bite that was ample for any normal appetite. Pub also very dog friendly not just out in garden, with the smokers! Hall and Woodhouse brewery does seem to have a good range of nonstandard ales too as any family business should. On a subsequent visit the food was delicious. Flat iron steak tender with a hint of chew and bags of flavour. Perfect chips fluffy on the inside with exterior crunch. Disappointing mushroom but you can't have everything! Starters were tomato soup n chunky wholemeal bread and juicy calamari strips. So succulent I was transported back to Crete. Definitely returning on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday for the special offers. See website for more details.
We booked a 2pm lunch. Ordered fish and chips , the fish was ginormous! Also ordered rigatoni carbonara, a much smaller serving but perfect for lunch , might not satisfy a bigger appetite though , a drink each and a latte with a mini desert . Total just under £54 . The food was really tasty , the staff were lovely and very helpful.
Looks really cool from the outside, olde world, modern inside, fish pie was not good, steak pie basic brought in one, puddings were good average price for the area ! Would go again to find something really tasty!
A very enjoyable evening out. Nice atmosphere, very attentive knowledgeable staff. My only negative comment would be that it was very cold in the dinning area
It was my daughters 50th birthday and we had family visiting from Scotland. There was 13 of us. The pub is lovely and the staff are very friendly. I felt confident bringing family to Goffs Manor expecting to have a lovely meal. We were all looking forward to a Sunday Roast, Sadly for the price of our meal it was very, very poor. We spent a lot of money on food and drinks. Everyone's food was tepid. (Which we ate as we were starving and i dont think anyone wanted to complain until i brought the subject up at the end.) Each plate had 2 very small roast potatoes, that did not look like they were roasted, 2 small bits of carrots, & parsnips, a few peas, very fatty beef, and a great big Yorkshire pudding that disguised the poor servings. Sadly it was the worst roast dinner I / we have ever had. The waitress was very apologetic and asked if there was anything she could do to rectify but it was too late as my daughter had already paid the bill. Which was a few hundred £'s. We just told her to have a word with the Chef. I have worked in catering for many years and took pleasure in making sure my Sunday Roasts were good to eat. If you are charging High prices, Make sure you have high quality food.
Pleasantly surprised. We went to the local Harvester first, got ignored for 10 mins then told food was a 45 min wait with a strong suggestion we shouldn't bother. So rocked up for a much warmer welcome at Goffs manor. Our waiter was super lovely, and very accommodating. My 13yr old loves a roast but only the veg/potatoes/ Yorkshire and gravy. We asked for a no meat roast, as it was the end of the day all her dreams came true when she was presented with 3 Yorkshires the size of her head, extra roast potatoes and 2 jugs of gravy. Our burgers and Mac n cheese were all good, nice puddings, good selection of drinks. We'll be back, in fact the 13 yr old has asked for birthday dinner there lol
I'd like to day nice things about this place because it could be so good. Could be, but isn't. It's all a bit confused.. The small bar to the left is lovely, but don't expect to get served (it was therefore also empty - well, it was when I visited). The main bar is not sure what it is, and the restaurant thinks it's something it isn't. I didn't try the food, admittedly, but the menu looked decent enough though a little pricey for the odd (and somewhat confused) atmosphere (there was also a children's menu, which is good). The staff seemed generally confused, as perhaps rightly they would be if the place doesn't know if it's a pub, bar, restaurant or none of the above. There's a massive beer garden, which must be lovely in the summer, and it's dog friendly (though I'm not sure if it was Snoop or Booh who was the 'Dog of the Month' as two signs gave me conflicting information; fitting, perhaps, that they were confused, too.). I'd like to come back, and be less confused, but in all honesty I don't think I will.
Two of us had the fish pie last night and they feel ill now, so that's a damper. But the service was superb.
Visited here on a week day early lunch time. Lovely old building. Obviously a new menu. Unfortunately, not much on it that I liked. Had the smoked fish pie which was not like any fish pie I've had before. Bottom layer of cabbage?, then the smoked fish, topped with crushed new potatoes. Flavour was OK, but it was very dry. My husband's meal ( burger and chunky chips ) was good and he enjoyed it. Think I just made a bad choice.
Lovely beer garden and very nice waitress but extremely poor food. When asked how our meal was we pointed out a burger bun was completely burnt on the inside. The waitress offered to replace it, bringing it back ten seconds later with the same top and the bottom replaced with what was clearly an older piece of bread. The cheese burger was so tough you had to put effort into cutting the patty with a knife. Good front of house, poor kitchen...
Used to be the best pub in Crawley this. Don't know what's changed over the last year but bloody hell service behind the bar is shocking. Food is average but it mostly always has been but service used to be fantastic and it made the place complete but without that it's lost some heart. Its not that they're not doing their job, it's just they're not as enthusiastic as they used to which I'm going to guess is down to bad management and/or pay. Atmosphere great as always though but like others say, wasps outside are a right headache, is a shame.
Usually an absolute phenomenal place to dine at, but this past Saturday I found one staff member to be very rude and very blunt. Was not friendly, also since eating there I've had a mild case of food poisoning with stomach cramps. Marcus however is the absolute highlight of the place, very kind, friendly, courteous and very good at his job. He's the main reason why we love coming here, but my stomach hasn't been too well since we last ate here. I would give a 5 star, but unfortunately due to the two reasons previously mentioned it gets 2. Expensive too, one of the chefs there made a crack at me too, in regards to a tip. Seriously guys, sort it out. Also, menu has shrunk so much that you cannot even order what you used to, for example removal of the halloumi burger alongside, many vegetarian dishes.
We fancied a nice sunday dinner after our hectic Christmas however we were not impressed with the Sunday dinner that we had it was probably the worst Sunday roast I’ve eaten the vegetables were not fresh. They were really dry like they had been cooked and left to the side they were so tough to eat (the potatoes and parsnips in particular). The meat quantity was so shocking literally 3 small pieces of turkey. For £23 a plate it was definitely not worth it. Wouldn’t even pay half of that I feel so ripped off. The food really let this place down such a shame for this local pub.
Goffs Manor has deteriorated to a level that's unbearable. Blocked toilets, old and reheated food, and way way overpriced. Houmous was so old it was solid, the pitta it was served with was old and stained with something pink. The cauliflower was hard, old and refried, the "taco" was an old, dried mini pitta flash grilled. Nothing was seasoned, everything was tasteless, and the toilets were disgusting. And we had to wait to be served at the dead quiet bar whilst 3 staff tried to look busy. Seven years a customer.....never again...
I am absolutely appalled and devastated after our experience here today. It is Christmas Day and my family of 5 including myself at 31 weeks pregnant had arranged, booked and pre-ordered to go for Christmas dinner. After arriving on time and waiting to be seated as our table wasn’t ready I was very much looking forward to getting my children fed and heading back home for a nice chilled evening. However after waiting for 30 minutes we still hadn’t even been served for drinks so my husband went and ordered these at the bar (hopefully also a reminder to the staff that we were there and hadn’t been served). We waited another 15 minutes and my husband asked when we would be served our food, to be told we would be served in a few minutes. So 50 minutes after our arrival the food appeared. Only it wasn’t our food. None of what was brought to the table was the correct meal for us. No explanation made and we then asked to talk to the manager and for a refund as I had by this point gotten very emotional and did not want to wait with children that were hungry and frustrated while the restaurant sorted out their mistake. We were provided a refund and have left but as this isn’t just any other day I needed to write this review. The manager told us they were sorry and it shouldn’t have happened but that seems a bit empty and it has ruined our whole evening. I am still very upset and it has thrown us all into a bit of a spin. Ultimately I will not be dining here again and am heartbroken at the outcome of today
This was the worst sunday roast! Food came out and 1/2 the food was missing. When we asked where it was, no apology and still some food missing off the plates! Missing pigs in blankets, missing vegetables, missing Yorkshire pudding and missing stuffing! Definitely not worth the money! Manager offered 25% off bill only to be told 10% was what I was given!
