The food is always fresh, hot, very good! Anything ordered here is always put together well. The server guy is a friendly man, he always checks on ya several times if you dine in. The restaurant is very clean, and even enough space for big families to sit with tables together! This is my daughter and I favorite to stop at once in a while!
They delivered an amazing deep dish pizza in a blizzard. I liked it more than Rosatis or Lou’s. Definitely worth a shot if you like deep dish pizza!
Papa Saverio’s Pizza is some of the best pizza I ever had! I love getting their slices, they are big and delicious. I last visited on Sunday, August 31st, 2025 and did takeout slices. They only had pepperoni and sausage pizza by the time of day but It was still tasty and delicious and takeout service is the quickest takeout service I have ever experienced. They cater high school sports games in the area too at least, and I very much recommend! We make sure we stop in at least every once in a while! Especially with football now in season! Six of us met for dinner. It was great! Large pizza, salads, three appetizers, three dinners, beverages, and desserts. We had great service and the food was excellent!
Last night we ordered from Papa Saverio’s in Crystal Lake and were blown away! The pizza was perfectly cooked — crispy on the outside, cheesy and flavorful on the inside. Their crust has that ideal balance of chew and crunch, and the toppings tasted fresh and generous. We also tried their pasta and garlic bread — both were outstanding. You can tell they care about quality and flavor in everything they serve. Definitely one of the best local pizza spots around. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, satisfying Italian comfort food!
I just moved into town and tried their pizza for first time, and no kidding, it was one of the best Pizza I have had. We ordered the Saverio’s stuffed pizza and it met our expectations very well!
I recently moved to Crystal Lake and was looking for great delivery options. I have tried several other places that were recommended by friends, but I really love Papa Saverio's. I love their pizza, the breaded mushrooms and especially the wings. The garlic Parmesan wings are beyond compare. Delivery is reliable! The food is warm when I get it. Here are some pics!
We ordered a catering package from Papa Saverios in Crystal Lake for Mother's day and the food was outstanding. Our package included the Italian beef, mostaccioli, fried chicken and swapped out the garden salad tray for their chopped salad (for an extra cost) but was so happy they were able to accommodate us. Everyone commented on how good the food was especially and surprisingly the fried chicken. It came crispy, moist and delicious. We will continue to do our catering with them! Thanks Papa Saverios for an outstanding job!
BEST PIZZA I've eaten in crystal lake besides The Cottage. Delivery is cheap too! The inner restaurant is lacking in Atmosphere, kind of boring and bland in the new extension, but it is still an AMAZING place to get pizza at. Don't forget to buy a pepperoni calzone! They're GOD TIER.
We've been going there for about two years. My husband really loved their pizza. He enjoys the cheese that they use. It's not so salty and they always make it the way you want it. So we really enjoyed going there and love their pizza.
I was picking up some freight right across the street so I came in for a quick grab and go. I grabbed two HUGE slices to go. One pepperoni and one with bacon, tasted amazing. The service was great too and the place was very clean. I wished I had time to try the deep dish but I’ll pre order that next time.
Best pizza place in town! Highly recommend the curly fries and chicken Alfredo. We got the deep dish which was phenomenal as well. 5 stars!
My daughter wanted to be sure I gave them five stars. From the moment we came in, when all the seats were up as most everyone was ordering to go, we were offered a table which was promptly sanitized. The host was very patient with all of our questions (which were many), accommodating and pleasant. And then the food... great serving size, even my very picky daughters loved the taste of everything. So from my family to yours, thank you!
My food was quite good but I felt the person who took my order was annoyed I was there ordering food…did not return my pleasantries and yeah I didn’t feel overly welcome. I would appreciate to feel welcomed when spending $15 on a sandwich.
Food was good, place was clean, service was poor. My wife, oldest daughter, and I came in for a small bite to eat for lunch. There were only a couple of people who appeared to be eating on their lunch break inside the place. My family and I get to the counter and ordered our pizza. I then asked for some drinks. The way the lady spoke seemed as if we were an annoyance or as if she didn't want to be there. I'm a very passive person and usually stuff like this just flies by me without me noticing. However, I noticed it right away. After we got our order, my family and I sat in the outside patio area. It was a nice environment, and as mentioned, the place looked very clean. The pizza was big and filling. As soon as we were done, we threw away our trash and left. No other interaction whatsoever with the staff on whether everything was good or if we needed anything else. Most likely won't be back for a while.
They change there wings sometimes there delicious and big others times terrible small can’t stand it …..the forgot my whole pizza on Togo order and made me come back and get it didn’t offer to deliver even though I’m 4 mins away. The older owners were very good!! seems like new owners are not consistent very disappointing. Take note to detail and service
I stopped in with a coworker to grab a slice, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to the behavior of the young woman working the register. She was noticeably rude, lacked basic customer service skills, and came across as irritated from the moment we stepped up to order. When I tried to clarify that our orders were separate, her only response was a curt “yeah, cash or card,” without making any effort to listen or engage. My coworker then asked to add a drink, and she responded with visible frustration, as if we were inconveniencing her by simply ordering food. I understand that everyone has off days and outside stress can bleed into work—but it is never acceptable to treat customers with such attitude. A little professionalism and kindness go a long way, especially in customer-facing roles. Disappointed with the service today.
Very disappointing!! This place used to amazing under the old owners. The new owners completely changed everything the wings got smaller, very dry, and are disgusting the salad tastes fake and cheep, they have items on the menu that they do not carry and the pizza is very average.
Ordered delivery. Tipped well. This driver decided to place pizza on my wet porch ( from rain). The pizza was drenched in tomato juice literally. Used 14 paper towels to try and absorb all the tomato juice puddled on top. Wouldn’t recommend based on cost.
If you're looking for a place that doesn't honor your coupons price and deliver you slid pizzas then have the manager cop attitude with you for calling in the situation, then this is your place. Have been a repeat customer since moving here 11 months, and will now have to look for someplace new. Scam artists selling an average pizza, smh.
If I could give this place zero stars I would! Do not go here we ordered from door dash and their lazy cook made the burgers and our food was RAW!!!!! This is unacceptable and disgusting! I cannot believe a restaurant could allow this to happen my God my kids could have gotten sick ! I am reporting them to the health department .
Terrible experience, new owner who has no idea what customer service means. They take a phone order while your standing in front of them waiting for your ALREADY PAID FOOD. About six drivers all sitting in the dining room, very appealing to the general public. Then I get home only to find I was missing my pizza! From reading other reviews here I feel pretty confident that when I told the owner my guess is that he will be gone by December is probably accurate.
I just tried to order a pizza, have been a customer for years. I guess they are under new ownership. Orders now go through a call center and the woman had a hard time applying a coupon. I was put on hold and after 25 minutes of trying to order a pizza I was able to speak with the manager. He was extremely rude and wouldn’t honor the coupon which was a $5 dollar off coupon for them making a mistake and sending the wrong pizza on a previous order. Couldn’t care less that I had been trying to order for 25 min. End result: they lost a customer. Customer service is everything. Obviously the new ownership doesn’t care about customer service.
