As an all things mango and Asian desert lover, this was an amazing discovery!! Great addition and menu variety of not-too overwhelmingly-sweet-but-satisfyingly hits-the-spot treat options in the bay area. Lots of natural fruit options like coconut, watermelon, and pomelo that are complementary to the mango. Unique menu. If you're not sure what to try, just take a look at the glazed replicas, every single one looks amazing. I need to returnnn. With lines out the door, it's a very popular spot so far FYI. The parking lot is small, as it shares the plaza with stores like Daiso and Mitsuwa and other restaurants but if you're willing to wait and try some premium mango treats you can't find anywhere else (I mean, you can make em too probably) - this is the place 🥭💛
Coconut Jelly with Mango The coconut panna cotta 🍮 at the bottom was super smooth and creamy — really tasty! The coconut jelly 🥥balls on top were so good too, with a nice natural coconut water flavor. The fresh mango 🥭pieces added the perfect sweet and fruity touch that made the whole dessert even better. Definitely a must-try if you love coconut, mango, or fresh, natural flavors! 😋
There’s nothing like some mango pomelo sago and mango crisps from Hui Lau Shan on a warm summer evening! They’re so refreshing and delicious!! I also love their watermelon juice with coconut foam, mango mochi and their mango pudding. You can skip the mango pancakes- they have too much whipped cream and pales in comparison to the other items. Do check this place out if you’re ever in Cupertino!
Idk what else to tell you. You come here for 🥭M🥭A🥭N🥭G🥭O🥭S🥭 Though, if you're not a fan, there are mango-free options that are just as tasty and just as satisfying. Their menu is mostly cold desserts, and in this summer heat, it's all I want! My favorites are the watermelon slush with aloe jelly and the mango coconut slush with crystal jelly. The crystal jelly here is really unique to me - chewy, but also jello-like. The mangos here always seem super ripe and sweet. I thought the coconut pudding was just okay. Parking is easy depending on when you arrive, but the service here is always fast. They give you a buzzer so you'll know when your order is ready even if you wander off.
Specialized in mango desserts and drinks. They are not overly sweet as the sweetness feels natural and mainly from the fruits itself. The vibe is lively. The music in the store is too loud for casual conversation but there are a few outdoor seating available. Note that it only opens at 1PM and the line can be long on weekends.
DO I RECOMMEND: Yes especially if you are a huge fan of mango wow hui lau shan is such a fun dessert spot! i personally loveeeee mango so stopping by after dinner was a nice surprise and fun way to end the night. i also really miss being able to get my hands on some bomb hong kong style desserts and this spot is the perfect go to. during my visit i got the mango chewy ball ($7.50) and the mango mochi ($10 - takeout w/ 6 pieces) and these are both something id recommend. id say that the mango chew ball has the balance of textured! tips: - dine in (indoor and outdoor) and take out available - lots of parking available (but the plaza does get busy so wait time might be high) - bathroom available - perfect for causal dates, kids and family friendly
My life was never the same after trying Hui Lau Shan. This IS my favorite dessert place to go to. Not only have I taken many friends and family here to experience what can only be called as THE mango spot, but it has yet to disappoint a single one of them. My expectation bar for other dessert places has increased dramatically after trying this place. It is amazing, and the only reason to ever NOT try this place is if you had a mango allergy of some kind. Even then, I still recommend it. 100/10
One of my favorite places for dessert !! I never tried this waffle here but it’s so lovely and not overly sweet. It’s an egg waffle with mango ice cream, mango bits, some jelly boba and whipped cream: all together was just yummy!!! At the moment there’s celebrating an event and you get a beautiful keychain or bag depending on purchase! You have to try this place out!! Also there’s usually a line but it’s worth it!! PS: You do have a wait time for the waffle: I waited 10 min aprox but didn’t mind waiting, surely come back soon for another waffle!!
Delicious - If you love mangoes this is the place to go. I was especially surprised to learn that the mangoes are Philippine mangoes. I have not tried anything here that I don't like. I typically go for mango romance, mango mochi (fresh mangoes inside) , mango crisp, and mango pomelo drink....everything is so good My only warning, be prepared to wait in line but definitely worth the wait. Don't get discouraged because the line moves fast. One thing I can say after being here a few times now is consistency. Everything is always on point and is as delicious the first time you tried it. Regardless of the line, you will get the same best quality... refreshing One of these days, I hope to try the mango pancake.
Very unique options to try for a mango drink. The mangoes are sweet and good quality. The wait time is usually 20-25min but the line moves quickly. They also have samples of almost every item displayed so you can get an idea of what you'll be getting. Seating is also limited. Must try.
Best Mango desserts un the Bay Area! I absolutely love this place, but if you come on weekends be ready to be in line for some time. I visited this shop on a Saturday night and it was packed! I probably waited around 30 min to get my order, however service was pretty fast and I got my drink in 10 min. They have a variety of desserts with mango sago being my favorite. Some of their other popular items are the mango chewy ball, and whole coconut (which they did not have when I was there) Every few months they introduce seasonal items that are not exclusively mango but those usually sell out fast. My recommendation is to visit on a weekday if you want to avoid waiting in like
My new go-to spot for mango desserts! I love how fresh everything is here. They make the desserts in literally seconds and somehow, it's still so so fresh! PARKING: This is located in a really popular lot (Izumi, Sanrio, Marufuku) so parking can be a challenge even though the lot is big. Peak times (evenings) can be really congested. ITEMS: I love the "mango chewy ball". It's a good size to share with 2-3 people, and not too filling. It's not too sweet at all and sits comfortably after a long meal. Staff is helpful if you've got questions, and there are large displays of each mango dessert so that you can get a feel for sizes. I think that most items here are for sharing. PRICE: AT ~$8-$9, the mango chewy ball is really affordable, especially if splitting with others.
Hui Lau Shan is a chain of dessert stores with a mango-forward menu. My personal favorites are their jumbo pomelo and mango with sago, and their jumbo mango chewy ball. Of note, the chewy balls are small tang yuan / mochi balls that add a great bite to the dessert, and we always add an order of extra chewy balls (they're really that good). Both desserts are packed full of mango flavor with actual mango chunks mixed in, a perfect treat for any mango-lover. They offer their signature mango desserts year-round; however, I would keep in mind that mangos are seasonal fruits (May to September). If you're ordering off-season the mangos might not be as sweet and tender as they normally would be. From personal experience, I placed a couple orders in the winter months (what can I say, I still wanted my mango fix) and found the mangos to be somewhat unripe and sour to taste. Another one caveat I'll mention is the incredibly long wait times (and I'm talking about 1hr+ waits) you may encounter. I'm not the biggest fan of waiting in line just to order (much less receive my food, and really who is), but personally I find the wait worthwhile given the quality and taste of their desserts alone. If you're a fan of mango, then I can almost guarantee that you'll fall in love with Hui Lau Shan and their mango-centric desserts.
A paradise for anyone who loves mangos or fruity desserts. I have never seen such a variety of mango desserts ever before and everything looks impeccable. Highly recommended. It’s quite popular, so it gets crowded pretty fast. You might have to wait in queue for about 15 minutes to order here. The mango romance is a great dish to try out mango in different textures. There was fresh mango, mango ice cream, mango slushie, sago balls, crystal jelly and a mochi with fresh mango inside. The mango and coconut juice with crystal jelly is also a very refreshing drink with a play of textures from the fresh mango and the crystal jelly.
Their mango desserts are da bomb! This is the place to come whenever you crave for mango desserts. They used to be out of mango pancakes often and now it seems to be more available. We had their mango pancakes, mango mochi, Pomelo & Mango With Sago, and Taro Black Glutinous Rice (hot), they're all great. Their Coconut Pudding with Black Glutinous Rice comes in a jar and it's delicious. If you like to get something to drink, their Mango & Coconut Juice With Aloe Jelly is excellent, taste like the one I got from HK before. The place is pretty spacious in general but don't have that many tables inside. They do have a patio for outdoor seating. Expect a line when you come during peak time.
Lightning fast service. Wet wipes at every table to clean your space before/after eating. There are fun plushies to look at while you’re ordering. Highly recommend the desserts with chewy balls, super satisfying. I saw towering boxes of mangoes in the back and I can definitely taste the freshness in what I ordered, no artificial mango here!
Great dessert spot, especially and well mainly if you enjoy mango and coconut since most their items are based on those two. Opens a tad late but still I would 100% try them again a few times to try out their menu. Pricing is about what you expect for a dessert spot now a days so would highly recommend anyone who likes coconut and mango.
Nice desserts, cute place. Tried the Mango Trio that has mango purée, coconut purée, sticky rice, and of course cubed mango. Tastes nice, not too sweet.
Great desserts! A favorite place to get a delicious mango passion fruit dessert or watermelon 🍉 and aloe jelly beverage super delicious
We were one of the first ones to enter the store on a Thursday and there was already a line right behind us. The machine taking the card didn't work, they had to restart a few times and still didn't work, so they ended up taking cash. All the things we ordered were super delicious! Mangoes in every bite! There's a small patio outside for people with dogs to sit at too!
Went in around 2:30pm on a Sunday. Parking was no issue with the large parking lot. Was able to order fine and get a table for 4 without any waiting. Though on a busier day i can imagine how this might be more difficult Food was excellent, the each mango dish was sweet and refreshing. Other standouts akso included the sago and especially the black sesame porridge Ordered the following: Jumbo Pomelo & Mango with Sago Black Sesame Porridge Service was solid but minor since it's an order and go kind of place. Pretty mich standard Ambience was solid, may have some kids and their familes so it may be noisy but nothing that can really hinder group conversations.
Yummy dessert place with refreshing mango drinks. Even though we always get the drinks, I hope to try some of the desserts they offer. Lime is always quick and staff is polite and efficient.
We picked up some dessert after dinner here and let me tell you it does not disappoint. If you like Mango, you'll love this place! They also have things that don't have mango in them, like the watermelon coconut juice (which is delicious), but Mango is the theme here! I got the D3, Pomelo and Mango. It was so creamy and flavorful. It has perfectly ripened chunks of mango in it which just melt in your mouth. We liked it so much we got the D10, mango & yogurt, and another watermelon juice to-go. Definitely recommend! The line looks kind of long, but it goes quick, don't let it deter you.
We visited this place yesterday. There was a long line but wait time was minimum. The service was quick. We ordered Mango Pomelo with Sago and Coconut Pudding with Crystal Jelly,Mango and Rice Chewy Balls. Both the items were delicious, very little sugar added. The mangoes were a little sour and that kind of added tart to the dessert. The desserts are reasonably priced and hope they continue to maintain the good quality and taste. We will definitely go back to try a few other desserts. One of the server was rude to us when we went to collect our order hence giving 2 stars for service.
Such a solid place to grab a yummy mango drink! They’re very popular and crowded on evenings and weekends. The fresh mango on top adds a layer of flavour and texture that’s indescribable! Great consistent quality and efficient service even when there’s a long line! Will be back to try other items.
Mango dessert specialty restaurant. We really enjoyed the jumbo mango with sago, so we got extra sago. Mango pomelo drink is also good, but toward finishing it we started choking on the fillings. The crispy mango does have a crisp to it when biting and is tasty. Make sure to either eat it or store it in the fridge since it melts. All in all, tasty place. Always has a line since it’s popular.

I love coming here for Hui Lau Shan’s mango desserts. I regularly order the mango swirl, and the mango pancake and the mango chewy ball are delicious!
Its official!! I’m addicted to this mango chain. I truly can’t get enough. Anytime I pass by any store I will stop in without a question and this location is the busiest one I’ve ever been too.
I remember seeing one in Berkeley but I never thought they would expand here! Amazing variety of mango desserts but sure pricey! This place is famous in Hong Kong ever since the '60s and I'm glad that they are expanding here in the US! Their accompanied by really nice people with really fresh mango sagos!
Food was pretty good. I loved how there was Mango chunks in it and our drinks also consist of them! The Mango Crisps were super interesting, not crispy enough tho bit had a nice concept. Definitely can not beat HK original dessert shops but this is the closest to it. Ordered 2 Mango puddings, mango crisp, D3 drink, D8 drink, and a Mango passion fruit drink. Service was decent, the wait was an hour but it was still worth trying out this place since food was served at about 5-10 minutes.
To all Mangoholic, must try this place:) I tried Mango and Coconut juice with crystal jelly (D7) and Pomelo & Mango with Sago (J3). I loved it, will definitely revisit this place. * Tried on a weekday, there was a queue but service was fast. * The sweetness level was moderately sweet.(not too sugary)
Had the mango chewy ball, and coconut jelly with mango. Both were good. Funnily enough, the chewy balls in Mango chewy ball were not great so we left them out when we tried the Coconut jelly with mango (pudding). If I lived here, I'd probably go A LOT. I don't like sugary desserts, and I get why there are so many lean, pretty young ladies lined up here. So worth it for the taste and how light it is. I went on a Friday but it wasn't too much of a wait. Maybe the hype died down?? Either way, I didn't think I'd like it, but it's yummy as heck. For the price, the portions aren't absurd. The mango pieces were fine, but the purée (idk what you call it) had a chalky aftertaste which comes from unripe mangoes. I really love mangoes though so it didn't bother me nor the people I was there with. Most customers were getting a few desserts in a group and sharing, and I can see why. It's surprisingly filling, mostly because the taste is satisfying enough that you're pleasantly happy and content after eating a few spoonfuls. Feels like how dessert should actually be enjoyed (several small bites shared with people you love).
Super long lines, but that’s a good sign because it means a lot of people like it. Not enough tables, so you may need to take it home. We got lucky with a table. They have wipes on the table so you can clean the table. Lots of mango! The mango pudding tastes like a mango smoothie. Overall, super yummy! Worth a try!
This place was packed when we went there. They always have a line of people waiting to order. We tried their A2 mango romance, which comes with 3 mango desserts- ice cream with mango sago, mango mochi, and mango chewy balls. Everything was pretty delicious and fresh. The ice cream was our least favorite. The mangoes were mostly sweet, with a subtle sour flavor. Their service was pretty fast, too.
Tried the Pomelo Mango and Sago dessert- mangos were ripe, sweet with a slightly sour aftertaste. The overall desert had greta mango flavor but wasn’t too sweet albeit it was on the pricy side. There’s a long line but it moves pretty quickly. There’s limited seating inside the restaurant but not enough to accommodate all patrons.
Place gets packed! Service is pretty quick though. Lots of mango desserts, but they're all pretty big, so I would recommend grabbing a friend or two. If you're dining by yourself, they make drink versions of the desserts and those are excellent as well! Would like to try their non-mango desserts one day, they look quite yummy. Between this spot and meet fresh, I would pick here any day!
Nice store with specialty on Hongkong style fresh mango dessert. I see so many mango boxes the store. I came for their lemon tea as I was thirsty. The store us nicely arranged. The worker is nice and you order at cashier. I ordered ice Lemon tea snd interestingly they don't give you the receipt right away after you paid. They will give you when your order is ready. The ice lemon tea is refreshing, not sour and not too sweet. I like it. Will visit next time to try their signature dessert. As I know there is one that will open in San Mateo downtown.
One of the best mango flavored drink I’ve ever had in California. Their drinks are fresh, refreshing, not too sweet and refreshing. Personally I would pick them over boba as these drinks are good boba replacement. They make these desserts with real mango pulp. We had their D3 and D7 menu. It’s basically their code word for their drinks and each drinks has different fruit pulps. Their ambience is also great and they have a good demo of their desserts. This place is always busy especially at eve. I would suggest this place if you love fresh fruit desserts and if you like boba kind of drinks. Will definitely comeback with more of my friends.
D3 Mango drink. wow. D4 is little bit less sweeter but it was delicious!! Heaven for mango lovers. There’s a long queue on the weekends. Loved it!!

Very strong mango and passion fruit flavor and the jelly chewy texture perfect sweetness, but long line waiting to place the order, the order preparation was quick.

I'd been wanting to go to this place for a long while, since my friends mentioned that the place is heaven for mango lovers. You'd probably encounter a 15-25 min queue at the store if you visit during the evenings. All the desserts look quite tempting and the place has a nice ambience too. All the ingredients are quite fresh however I felt that the mangoes were sour. If you’re used to Indian mangoes which are sweet and are expecting that here, you could be disappointed. You might like this place if you only like very mild sweetness! They have some nice looking drinks as well.
It's not bad but I would be a little more selective about what I would get next time. The 'mango crisps' are really good, but small in portion. The passion fruit mango ice drink is refreshing, and good for the first 3/4's, but I'm not partial to the clear gelatinous stuff at the bottom. The 'mango pancakes' are a little odd; not bad per se, but the cream and mango combo isn't one that works particularly well, IMO.
Good desserts, but I really hope you switch to packaging that is more eco-friendly. These plastic containers are SUPER thick and will obviously never biodegrade. I understand you need something sturdy for the hot desserts, but given majority of your desserts are cold, and many people eat in-store, I really hope you switch to reusable containers for dine-in customers and biodegradable for take-out. The spoons provided are also very cute but really thick plastic! Customers (especially dine-in customers) definitely don't need such thick non-biodegradable plastic for a quick dessert. 3 stars only because I think restaurants have a responsibility not just to provide good food (which this one does!), but also to be good stewards of the community and environment in which they operate.
A hip Hong Kong style dessert place (a chain) known for their mango drinks and dessert bowls. We tried the classic pomelo mango sago drink and a mango bowl with tiny sticky mochi balls. The pomelo mango sago drink with coconut milk and mango ice cream was very tasty (recommended), but the mochi balls in the mango bowl tasted a bit off (not very fresh). The price is not cheap (almost $20 for the two desserts). Service was friendly and fast.

I rarely give anything less than 3 stars even though this place deserve 1 star but let's just say I only tried once, so give it the benefit of the doubt. Cons: 1. I ordered A3, the mango trio. - The mango is nothing like Hui Lau Shan made in HK, it's not the same kind of mango from tropics of Asia (呂宋芒), I assume these are from Mexico but you can tell the difference. The smell, the taste. It's also not very ripe. - There black glutenous rice is good. Nice texture but because of the ice, it makes the mango taste more sour and not able to enjoy the black glutenous rice as much. - The coconut milk probably the best part. 2. The size is very misleading if you think you are getting what the display show, you will be greatly disappointed. May be about 2/3 is what you getting. I was going to say half but you be the judge. 3. After having that dessert, both my wife and I had diarrhea. Very bad stomach ache. Not as bad as food poison but it was very painful. 4. I also ordered C4, the mango crepe. We don't think that's the problem of our diarrhea because my wife didn't have it. Nonetheless, it was another disappointment. I went to another dessert place which offer the same dessert and it was so much tastier, the mango taste much sweeter and flavorful. That's how I know they didn't use the right mangoes. The crepe doesn't taste very good neither compared to the one we had at the other dessert store, may be not enough butter in the batter. Pros: Well, it's a taste of HK if you missed HK, it's a nice experience as long as you don't have diarrhea. 😅 The wait is brutal though, it's got nothing to do with the food but honestly, I won't be coming back cause I doubt any improvement will make an impact unless they change the kind of mango they serve.
