Really amazing lunch spot. Everything was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was super clean and the staff was helpful.
If you want to enjoy amazing Middle Eastern food in a relaxing environment, you found the right place! The employees are amazing too! I also appreciate how nice the employees were to my husband’s son. My family and I will definitely come back the next time we visit the Bay Area!
The food is very tasty. The staff is awesome, especially Beverly - Thank you so much for your hospitality! I would love to recommend this location for everyone who wants to enjoy a really tasty dishes. My favorite is shawarma. Almost like from my motherland. But i like to try all the menu cause it always freaking delicious! They have a lot of space including patio with the heaters. Please enjoy your time at Dish&Dash!
Delicious and fresh food. Staff is polite and friendly. They always ensure my order is made perfectly and to my liking and do customization with smile on face. Lentil soup reminds me of mild daal and it’s as healthy as it can get. Overall what I like about the place most is the ingredients and quality of the food. Quantity is also decent for the price. Good selection of vegetarian or vegan options. The walnut roasted red pepper dip is soo good!!
We’ve never been disappointed with this place, especially for the very reasonable prices they charge. I highly recommend the Sumac chicken in particular.
Dish n Dash Cupertino is the bomb, just like their fancier version in Sunnyvale. What I love about this place is that they sell our favorite dish "chicken beriani dajaj" (chicken in aged yogurt sauce) at a lower price point than their Sunnyvale restaurant, but it's just as good!!! ***Highly Recommend*** 1) Chicken Beriani Dajaj --> no other place makes this dish as wonderful as Dish n Dash and Dish Dash. Chicken is succulent and juicy, saffron rice is flavorful, almonds are toasty and crunchy, and the star of the show---the aged yogurt sauce--is tangy, creamy, nuanced in flavors, and just SO YUMMY. We crave this all the time! 2) Their chicken shawarma lavash wraps are AWESOME --> our boys get this door dash'd a lot while at the gym doing exercise and homework. Super healthy & SO good! Love the many side options too. Recommend the baba ghanoush (roasted eggplant) and hummus and any of their fresh salads! 3) Their side sauces are super flavorful & hit the spot! They have 3 unlimited options when you eat there in person. Especially love the garlic yogurt sauce and cilantro-based sauces. Perfect combo!
every time I come it's a treat! I love all the food I've tried and it manages to be both healthy and beyond delicious
First visit here today. We went there for a late lunch on a sunday. So it was not very crowded. Was able to place the order and find a table easily. Food was ready within 10 mins, which was surprisingly fast compared to other reviews. Ordered their Veggie Delight even though it is a starter, makes a good meal for one person and Chicken Shawarma in Pita, with Falafel as side. Both dishes were extremely good. Their sauces were awesome as well, Garlic Yogurt, Cilantro Mint sauces were the best. Will revisit this place soon.
I had the chicken shawarma with freekah (smoked brown rice) and hummus and edamame corn salsa. Their chicken shawarma is just the bomb! And while this restaurant is counter service, it's actually a super classy joint and has an amazing choice of beers on top and great wines. It isn't cheap, but it's great food and a very good value. There's a really nice outdoor patio. This is currently my favorite restaurant in Cupertino... Well done Dish n'Dash! 2025 Update: dish dash is still serving up great food with a nice wine and beer menu. The food is fresh, well prepared and well plated. I love the outdoor seating. Still great!
Ole reliable: the food always hits, the portions are generous, and I’ve only had positive experiences.
I live every Dish n' Dash. Great food, I live their freshly squeezed juices. The fact one can pick 2 sides from a wide selection is great! Their falafel is amazing, salmon always juicy. This brand has never dissapointed me in 7 years I've been visiting! (Sunnyvale, San Jose, Cupertino)
Great taste great sauces but little slow to get the food. Pretty consistent taste over the years
Great takeout. Hard to find takeout counter. Felt like I was skipping the line because they are too close to eachother. Easy fix, look forward to coming back again. The lentil soup was a 10/10.
The best middle-eastern food in the bay area! This Dish n Dash location has a wide open location with a great ambience. You'll find all you standard favorites, plus interesting ones like pomegranate eggplant. Most dishes come with two sides (the tabbouleh, humus, fries are all great options). We also recommend the salmon rice plate, chicken shawarma, and the falafel wrap. Don't forget to get the dipping sauces, they are in several locations. Try the yogurt and the mint ones. It is all self service. There can be long lines most times, and the food does take around 15 minutes to get ready so be ready to be patient.
Been here before pandemic and this is my 2nd time. I ordered from Grill - lamb shawarma, lentil soup and humus, salad. It comes with 4 slices of pita bread and some fried “chips”. Another order was falafel and beef shawarma, humus, vegetables and salad! This is a more self-service style. Fresh, good quality and quantity served about right to some might take home (depending on a person’s appetite ). Indoor and outdoor seating.
First time here at Dish n' Dash in Cupertino Ca. I must say........ It's definitely a place for everyone! Awesome, yummy food! I had chicken kebabs with rice, humus, and spiced carrots 🥕 with walnuts. They have so much to choose from. Reasonable prices. The service was great. Everyone was nice & kind. I will definitely be going back unless they open one in or near Fresno Ca.
One of our go to places for Mediterranean food. This place has great chicken shawarma, falafels, lentil soup and you name it! We love it all! Great food with informal setting. Food comes quickly so the wait time is minimal. Outdoor and indoor seating area. Usually very crowded - we come either early or late to avoid the crowd.
Great place to hangout with friends and tasty food. You order at the counter and they give you a pager that vibrates when your order is ready. Ordered a platter of sumak pulled chicken with 2 sides. The sumak chicken as such was great, good balance of spices and great flavor. The hummus and babaganoush were also yummy. The mutton kebab was okish, the taste was good but it was super chewy.
Newly opened, Mediterranean cusine, nice decor, high ceiling, relaxed ambience, with some outdoor seating. Tried their various kebabs and drinks. Everything was quite good, prices were reasonable, good CP. Though partially self service, the staff will bring your food to the tables and very friendly and attaintive!
Very lively place, usually people are waiting in line, service is quick. Food is good. It has many vegetarian choices. Food is healthy and delicious. Prices are good as well. A lot of dips and sauces you can take. Food portions are good size. I liked falafel wraps, walnut eggplant dish, and lentil soup. Would recommend this place:)
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dish and Dash, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This was my first visit to this particular location, although I've been to Dish and Dash before. It's safe to say that they consistently maintain their exceptional standards across all their locations. I couldn't be happier! I opted for the Lamb Shawarma with grilled veggies, hummus, and basmati rice, while my friend ordered the Beriani Dajaj with rice. Let me tell you, both dishes were absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and delicious. Overall, I found Dish and Dash to be a very decent establishment. I'll definitely be returning for trying more other dishes in the future. Highly recommended!
Servings are very generous and everything is fresh. Grilled vegetables are especially delicious. Our group of four ordered 4 different meals and everyone loved their lunch.
My go to place to have Mediterranean American fusion in the bay area. Chicken shawarma and Pulled sumac chicken plates are always my go-to foods here and they're amazing. Lentil soup as a side goes very well with the plates. Falafels are aromatic and crispy. The sauces/dips here are so special and add great flavor. The carrot+orange juice tasted good. The ambience is always lively.
I ate one of the best Mediterranean food after ages at Dish N Dash! Their falafels were so good. Everything I ordered was so good so good. The garlic dip was spot on. The date smoothie was spot on. Chicken over rice was well cooked and had a very pleasant taste. Everything looked so good and tasted so good. I strongly recommend this place. The ambience of this restaurant is very good. They serve Mediterranean food but they also serve beer and wine. So if you have a doubt whether they serve alcohol or not..they do! I am definitely visiting this restaurant again!
Dish n Dash in Cupertino is a go-to spot for us, and it never disappoints. We've been there many times, and each visit is consistently great. The Mediterranean food is fresh, flavorful, and always hits the spot. The kebabs are tender, the falafel is perfect, and the hummus is some of the best we've had. The service is friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. Highly recommended!
It's rare that a restaurant has this much consistency in providing tasty and high quality dishes over decades now. It all started with a modest restaurant downtown Sunnyvale almost 20 years ago, and since then they have opened a few more places with table service (DishDash) and a few order/pickup ones (Dish'n'Dash) that are favorite among people who work close to these locations. My favorite dishes are Mansaf, chicken shawarma wrap & lamb kabab plate. Rice is excellent, veggies are delicious and the overall taste is amazing. I have catered their food for an event in Santa Cruz, and they have delivered on the deliciousness over the mountain too. Big thanks for being a yummy constant in our lives!
Yum! Everything was really tasty. Very helpful staff. Family friendly. Somewhat casual (but still nice decor) and really good food. The lentil soup was probably the standout for us.
I loved how fresh, healthy and delicious my chicken shawarma sandwich was. Loved the sides, hummus and lentil soup. Pita bread was so soft and freshly made. I also liked the atmosphere. It was cozy and relaxing.
My friend brought me here for a nice dinner and I didn't know what to expect. Growing up in a Greek family I was truly impressed and shocked how good it really was. I had the most tender lamb kebabs and roasted vegetables, along with an incredible hummus with PETA to different it and tabouli which was refreshing and absolutely delicious! I feel sad that I live in Pennsylvania and I eat here on a more frequent basis, because I would eat here all often.. It was really good! Good value for the money tables for nice and clean and comfortable well lit and spaced out enough that you aren't right on top of anybody else. I will have to recommend this restaurant it's very good! 👍
Edited on 23Jun 2025: Service 5 stars (updated) Amit, thanks for reaching out. Glad to know that this has been addressed, and your customers will once again get exceptional service as expected. Thank you. Original review: -Great food, good atmosphere. Service at ordering station should be improved. We requested that one of the sides not to be added directly in the dish. We were planning to share that dish, and one of us didn’t like that particular side item. A simple request, not difficult to accommodate IMHO. The person who took the order was visibly annoyed at that request, and made it sound like we are ordering something extra. She said she was doing us a one time favor!🧐
6/22/2025 Dish n Dash 20750 Stevens Creek Blvd Cupertino, CA 95014 The first time I came here there was an order line to the door so I skipped. I returned for an early Sunday dinner and I understand why. You order at the station and receive a pager plate to notify your food is ready to pick up. It's a clean modern table, booth and bar table setup. I had the Lamb Kebab with hummus and veg. The Lamb was moist and delicious medium rare, didn't ask but should have. The hummus was a little bland and could have had more garlic, the vegetables were al dente and fresh. MTV has some nice Med places but this was definitely worth the drive. Definite repeatable.
We really like Dish n Dash. I brought my friend and her young family to the Cupertino location on Thursday at about 4:30 PM. As usual, the food was excellent, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. This is an excellent choice for halal food. The restaurant was quite empty at this in between time, so the service was especially fast. But I was embarrassed and mortified by the way the food runner treated my friend. The food was brought to our table with no plates or utensils. My friend had her baby in her lap and asked for a plate. “May I have a plate?” Answer: “NO! Plates are there.” Incredibly rude. You could have gotten another loyal customer, but for the runner’s appalling service. Frankly, I would love to urge her go return for more great halal food, but I’m concerned about the service.
Why have I not tried this place earlier?? I absolutely love the food and the vibe of this place. For me personally, I like this place more than the dishdash where everything is soupy and super tangy. The falafel, the edamame salad, hummus, babaganoush, fries, the sauces...I love everything about this place. Their pita's are one of the softest I have had around. Although I have had an instance where one of the pitas wasnt as fresh as I tried earlier, I hope the management keeps the quality in check. I highly recommend getting their falafel and while you are here, definitely try the sauces. I love the chipotle tahini and the mint sauce. Both times I was here, I got a pita pocket. The first was falafel and second was a veggie pocket. I liked them both. If you want a lighter option, go for the veggie pocket.
Delicious food served in a casual space. This is a popular place and therefore can be a bit noisy.
One of the branches of the Dish N Dash family, this was the first one I visited. Since then I’ve visited a few; This place can get busy but the place is clean, service is good and the food is solid. It may seem confusing at first but once u figure out the menu, it’s not too bad. I’ve tried a few of the dishes, but lately I’ve really been into their pulled sumac chicken. I also like their falafels and I especially love eating it with their garlic yogurt sauce that you can get a ton of.
HOLY COW! Dish n Dash was a breath of fresh air. My favorite aspect of Dish n Dash is always their plethora of dips like the garlic dip, roasted red pepper walnut they are all so good and pair well with everything. I got their pulled sumac chicken which in my opinion is their best protein! I got it with frekeh, hummus, and red pepper walnut dip. The frekeh had the perfect texture that complemented the tender flavorful chicken! The chicken was insanely flavorful and it was a cool red color as well! The red pepper walnut dip was so good it was a little tangy and quite creamy as well with the hummus they were both so flavorful but each was a bit too oily. OVERALL I definitely reccomend and the prices are not too exorbitant with the portions being large. It was unique and super tasty so you should definitely give it a try!
Food is very good and they have yummy fresh juice and smoothie. But this is not a full service restaurant. Menu is completely different from the original Sunnyvale location. Expect to order from a counter, pay upfront, get condiments and water on your own and self-bussing at the end of the meal. The only service is they bring food to your table. Comparing to the location in Sunnyvale, which is a full service and has the atmosphere for date night, this location is too casual and unromantic. If you want to take your date for an intimate night out, go to the one in Sunnyvale.
I’ve come here a lot for the huge portion sizes and the really delicious and easy Mediterranean food! Food: I usually get the salad and Jerusalem style since I love the grilled eggplant and cauliflower and get it with chicken shawarma or falafel! The falafel is super crunchy and tasty and the salad comes with pita chips which is a nice touch. Service: You order at the front and then get called when your order is ready and sit wherever! It’s a very casual place and the orders take 10-15 to be done. Ambiance: Super casual and good place to catch up with a friend! There are seats next to the window with nice lighting. Overall I like this place and it has good vegan options and really filling portions!
Bus your tables people! This is a fast casual restaurant where you walk up to the counter to order, even though the seating area is nice enough to be a sit down restaurant. The staff had a hard time keeping up with multiple large parties who did not clean up after themselves at all. That aside, it's a lovely place for a family meal, since the space is nice, you get your food relatively quickly, and it's affordable. You get a solid amount of flavorful meat and your choice of base (rice, salad, freekah, etc.) and two rather small sides. My only wish is that there were more veggies on the plate. The salad side is TINY and there is no side salad available. We got the salad main to top off, but it was also primarily meat -- which is great for some folks, just not what we were looking for 🙃.
Really good falafel, super fresh crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! The mansaf is really popular but I felt it was too salty/cheesy tasting so it may just not be for me. The lamb in it is nice and soft though. I also enjoyed the beef and lamb shawarma. Their hummus, rice, and fries are all decent.
Tasty and healthy food - I’d definitely be interested in coming back. The ingredients tasted fresh; only complaint was that the pita was a little hard. Service was surprisingly slow (exacerbated by the fact that our buzzer was broken), but hopefully they can live up to their name next time. Very clean and spacious inside with lots of sports on the TVs.
Self-serve Mediterranean food chain. Quality of food is one of the best on the west coast! They still toned down on the spice quite a bit to be called authentic, and portions are getting smaller year after year, but it is as good as it gets in CA. If you want better Mediterranean food, go to the East Coast, or Europe.
This is a really nice high end dish dash. Order at counter and pick up. But has wine and beer and real plates and glasses. Very beautiful decor and tables We had lgrilled lamb plate 4 Stars And grilled beef plate 4 star The falafel Were delicious 4 stars Hummus 4 star Garlic dip 3.5 stars Fresh pita 4.5 Lentil Soup 4 stars Kebere 4 stars this place is delicious but I feel that Mathilda branch taste Slightly better. Though that has only Patio seating and Togo setup
I usually come here for dinner with friends, and it’s a dependable place for solid Mediterranean food. I almost always order the falafel grill with lentil soup and baba ghanoush. The falafel is always cooked perfectly, and the lentil soup is hearty and comforting. There’s plenty of seating. Water is self serve and you bus your own dishes. Prices do seem to creep up a bit with each visit, but the food quality and consistency keep me coming back.
They don't have table service. You order at counter and then wait for your buzzer to ring. Pickup the food. The volume of food is very good and taste is delicious. I would rate 4.5 or higher on taste and freshnesss. The lunch salad option with two additions was good.
This location is huge with lots of tables to sit at. The parking lot can get crazy but there is more parking towards the back corner. You order at the counter and wait for your food to be ready. Staff here were friendly and constantly bussing tables. As for food, I got the medium beef kebab salad with a side of rice and lentil soup. Beef kebab itself was very good and flavorful. The lentil soup was ok. Didn't really stand out for me. They have a green sauce that's great to add to the salad and dip the beef in. And their red sauce has a nice kick to it. The portion is huge so it's definitely worth the value. I couldn't finish my plate and took the rest home for leftovers, which was still good. If you're craving Middle Eastern food that's quick and delicious, it's definitely worth checking out.
Had stopped by Dish Dash in Cupertino for dinner and was immediately struck by the buzzing atmosphere - it's clear this place is a local favorite! The menu was a bit of a puzzle, though, with some items appearing in multiple categories (hello, veggie Shawarma!). The lack of pictures didn't help, but our server was super helpful in navigating the options. The food was solid - we went with the veggie Shawarma, with basmati saffron rice , lentil soup, and veggie delight. The portions were just right, and everything was delicious the pita chips and garlic dip were a highlight, though maybe a tad too salty. Service was a bright spot - our server was prompt and friendly, and the cleanup crew was efficient. Overall, I'd definitely come back and recommend giving Dish Dash a try! A few tweaks to the menu layout could help streamline things, but the food and vibe are definitely worth checking out.
The beef and lamb kabobs were solid, flavorful, and cooked well. The tabouli was a bit of a letdown, missing the zing I usually expect from the dressing. However, the muhamara was a standout, deliciously spiced and a perfect complement to the kabobs. I also appreciated the garlic yogurt sauce they offered, as it added a nice touch to everything. Overall a good experience for the price and portions. I would consider returning when in town.
Pretty good tbh. The place is kept clean, there's plenty of seating, and they have a notification system so you get told when your order is ready. The sides are great, as are the sauces. But the chicken shawarma, the main entree is pretty basal, leaning heavily on the mediocre. Honestly feel you're better getting that wrap elsewhere and just stuffing up on the sides. The chili sauce is like 1/16 of a seedless jalapeno.
Been coming here since they opened. Lemon slices with water is awesome but I do have one complaint is the recent change to their chicken sumac recipe changed and my kids can’t eat the new saltier and spiced up recipe. Even the chicken shawarma is kind of spicy now and unable to feed to children. I hope you can fix this.
Waiting for the food (which I have heard great things about) but in the meantime, 1. Super slow service and, 2. Most tables are not bussed, dirty and full of left over food. Probably they are having a bad day. Hopefully otyer locations are better managed. Mixed feelings. Post food: My shwarma salad was pretty good. I would recommend asking to substitute the overly fried and oily pita with plain pita. The rice pilaf in kebob plate was good as well. Hummus is ok-ish. Not the freshest or best tasting. Overall 6.5 on 10. I would stop by again for a quick bite, but a bit pricey for this experience (however, I am happy to pay since ingredients are great!)
No complaints on the food, very good as always. However the patio was very dirty, napkins and food all over the floor, tables and chairs were in disarray, food and beer stains on all the tables, after sitting for 10 min at a dirty table we ended up moving outside under the umbrellas because it was noticeably smelling of beer and the surroundings were not appealing at all. Noticed another couple sat a bit on the patio then joined us outside and mentioned their table was dirty to the guy who brought the food. A family of four who sat at the table we attempted to sit at in the patio after the woman cleaned it thoroughly with napkins. Nobody cleaned the tables around us all the time we were there. The last straw was the dirty desert plate we were brought with dessert. I have attached a picture. Was too ashamed to take a picture of the chaos on the patio. I don’t recall it being this dirty last time I ate here.
The food is fine. Took 20 minutes to get the dish. The pita is with low quality
REVIEW PREVIEW I am an extremely picky person and probably the most picky person you’ll ever meet. So 4 or 5 out of 5 or anything 7.5 or higher out of 10 is really an achievement for that restaurant. In that case, here is my review, by Nicolas! I would give this restaurant a 6.5/10!!! First of all, the service was great! Super friendly and outgoing. They even made sure to answer all my questions with accuracy by double checking some info with their manager! Amazing. The atmosphere was also very nice. I loved the design and inner architecture, and I LOVED that they weren’t blasting music. At about 20% restaurant capacity, it was 70 decibels, which is ok, but it could reach 85 on a busy night for sure. As for the food, it all looked good! However, they are not able to make some foods plain because they were pre-marinated but the french fries were good with a little bit of salt, and the plain rice was also very good! This is probably one of the best Mediterranean food restaurants out there !
Sorry but $21 is a lot for cold, stale food. Been a customer for years, so I didn’t expect this. Jan 2, 2025. I placed my order at 8:35 pm, picked it up by 8:45 pm, reached home by 8:55 pm, management can verify order details. The food was entirely too cold. Now I don’t expect anyone to make a fresh batch of everything right after I order, but what are the chances that every single item is cold to the bone 7 mins after I pick up? The fries were cold and musty. The olive oil tasted off, the pita was cold hard. Again, I don’t expect gourmet dinners, I only expect non-stale food when I have promptly paid full price. I deserve the courtesy of having my food microwaved before it’s packed into the take out box. Thank you.
Rude. Rude. Rude. Dehumanizing experience in this restaurant. The Latino cashier from this establishment will intimate you. Been a customer of years, but first time being assisted by this staff that gave me a very hard time. He was short tempered, too. Made fun of my slight English accent multiple times with rude remarks. He made derogatory comments on my English (ironically the cashier had thicker accent than myself). The staff started using sarcasm and cackling when requested to speak with manager. The cashier was very discourteous. The manager had to silence the cashier multiple times given his attitude problems when discussing the situation. Had two different encounters with this staff during my visit. The cashier forced me to review my order on the screen with arrogance yelling me "faster" , "faster" . He was very sassy. I didn't come to this establishment to get disrespectful demeanors from the cashier. No amount of apologies from the manager eliminates the fact her staff was extremely rude and the cashier bad mouthing and disputing even in front of manager. Muy grosero el staff que se encarga de procesar órdenes. The food was very good, but the manners from cashier were disgraceful. Very embarrassing having to speak with the manager against the behavior of the cashier. Hopefully the regional corporate lead addresses this situation (this is unacceptable). Hold the manager accountable to discipline this cashier for the detrimental attitude against customers. Never coming back.
The food quality has reduced drastically. The rice smells like cow poop meaning it's a cheap basmati rice. The chicken (sheesh tawook) has no seasoning and quite often it's raw in the middle. The garlic dip (toum) tastes like yogurt rather than a strong potent garlic dip that you are familiar with at their Sunnyvale branch. The food portions are getting smaller and smaller every day and they just give you 2 small pieces of Pita and when you ask them to give more, for 3 dishes they give you a half of a pita (very reluctantly and rudely). The service is terrible yet on the register they ask you for tip! Tip for what service?! This place used to be heaven and now more like hell. Go to their Sunnyvale restaurant and you'll see the difference in food quality and portions.
Unclean. They didn't clean the table until asked and one of the cutlery had a dried food stuck on it. I'm surprised this place is rated well.
The front desk cashier guy was extremely rude today. Maybe he had a bad day, but he needs to change his attitude. I have been a customer of years to this, and I am willing to stop going to this place if I will be mistreated by this guy. Customer service is important.
Dish n Dash has been our go to place for Mediterranean food but I was very disappointed when I went last week. I ordered 2 veg portions and one non veg for our family. When we got our order, I was surprised to find a piece of lamb in our veg plates. I am a vegetarian and this was a huge disappointment. When I asked the servers and staff about how this can happen they had no response. They changed my plate but this really makes me question the hygiene and sanity of their kitchen.
Why is it spicy?? I ordered their chicken shawarma hummus plate. I've had it before and it was not spicy at all. Nowhere on the description does it say spicy but they put something so extremely spicy in it I have it at home now and I cannot even eat it. $15.00 & I have to throw it in the trash. Middle Eastern food is NOT SPICY.... But if you decide to make a Mediterranean dish SPICY, make it VERY CLEAR in the description, make sure that the word "spicy" is in the description so we don't end up wasting our money.
I am a frequent customer at several dish dash locations. I had a wonderful experience for many years and it reflected in my 5 star reviews. I deleted my previous 5 star review of this location to bring this review to the management’s attention. I ordered a Veggie Delight and added the “Style Your Dish – South of the Border” option for $4. What I received for “style your dish” was only a small side of black beans, four avocado slices, and a lime wedge, which felt misleading and not worth the upcharge. Additionally, pita bread—previously included with Veggie Shawarma—was suddenly an extra charge, with no explanation or notice. This change was frustrating and made the experience feel unwelcoming.
