Great atmosphere and amazing food! The staff is what really has me coming back. This location has a great set of employees, they are wonderful and so sweet, even the location being busy never stops them from providing great service. I want to specifically thank the manager Arturo and our server Mailin for the experience they provided. From the amazing recommendations all the way to the delicious dessert! 10/10 recommend if you are in the area!

Roberto and Pablo are amazing servers with excellent support from their manager Juileta! They are very kind and attentive. This location is just right and very pretty at night with the lights.The food is very flavorful and endless chips and salsa are a strong plus.

Huge fan of the Mi Cocina chain and have eaten at several locations and am always impressed. The food is fresh and service is fast. My person favorite is the Rico Salad, very fresh and well portioned. This location however has exemplary staff, the service was the best we have received at any other locations. Highly recommend and will return.

We had a reservation for 9 around 3 p.m. The place was serene and beautiful. It did not take long for us to be seated. We had two waiters, who were both courteous, friendly, and very attentive to our needs. One waiter, Mr. Alfredo Aguilar, even took several pictures for us with all our family members as we were celebrating a special birthday. After being served delicious salsa and chips, we ordered a diverse number of dishes: Fajitas, brisket tacos, poblano chicken enchiladas, rib eye steak, and mambo taxi drinks. Everything was delicious.

Love, love, love this place! I’ve been going to Mi Cocina for years, and I can honestly say the food is always fantastic. The Mambo Taxis are amazing and pair perfectly with any dish. I have to mention that my server, Geo, is always on point—engaging, attentive, and full of energy. It’s that kind of service that makes the whole dining experience so enjoyable and keeps me coming back. I recommend him to my friends, family, and even complete strangers. If you want to experience great service from the hosts, servers, and managers, I highly suggest visiting the Highland Park Mi Cocina location.

We enjoyed our lunch here in this very busy, upscale area of Dallas. The staff was pleasant and the food was good. We would eat here again!

First time in Dallas. Just walked into this restaurant. Everything was great! We waited 30 minutes and it was worth it. Ordered the tacos recommended by the waiter, which tasted very good. My friend had the shrimp, which was also good. The only lowlight is that the seats are a bit narrow and the ground is not very clean.

Mi Cocina in Highland Park Village feels like my favorite pair of house shoes. They’re comfortable, always feel good, and I know what to expect. Mi Co is the same. The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently good. I know what I’m going to experience. But I wonder if some sort of refresh is in order for it to become consistently great. I’ll order another Mambo Taxi and update this review when I come up with something!

I went to this place recently for the first time and I loved how they decorated it during Christmas. They didn't have much to offer for vegetarians so we just had guacamole tacos and a pineapple drink. What I loved was that everything was freshly made. The salsa that they served with nachos was fresh and so was the guacamole. Although their service was slow we waited for almost 20 minutes just to get the tacos. Moreover, it would be great if they had more vegetarian options!

Our recent visit to Mi Cocina in Dallas was a bit of a letdown, landing squarely at a 3 out of 5 experience. The restaurant came highly recommended by friends and locals alike, which had us excited to try it out. However, after dining there, we couldn’t help but wonder if the glowing reviews meant Dallas might not have a strong Mexican food scene to boast about. The atmosphere was lively and the service was friendly enough, but the food itself didn’t live up to the hype, leaving us questioning whether this was the best the city had to offer in terms of Mexican cuisine. The cheese enchiladas were a particular disappointment—somehow, they managed to sneak meat into what we assumed would be a vegetarian dish, which threw us off entirely. Meanwhile, the chicken fajitas were dry and lackluster, lacking that juicy, flavorful punch we’d hoped for. Perhaps the biggest telltale sign of the meal’s mediocrity was the chips—usually a reliable indicator of a good Mexican restaurant. They tasted suspiciously store-bought, lacking the fresh, crispy magic you’d expect from a place with such a solid reputation. All in all, it wasn’t a terrible meal, but it certainly didn’t convince us that Mi Cocina—or Dallas Mexican food in general—was anything to write home about.

The wait is always too long, even with empty tables. The bar staff is awesome, the hostesses are subpar. The food is below average.

The food here was absolutely amazing!! However the service definitely needs some work. Took my friend from out of town. The server mistakenly brought her corn tortillas instead of flour, after bringing this to the waiters attention, he took longer to bring the replacement out than what it took to bring our table of 6’s food out. By that time the table was finished with their food! The waiter asked if we would like boxes to go. He proceeded to box all of our meals, including the customer who got their meal maybe 5 minutes before. BOXED HER FOOD WHILE SHE WAS STILL EATING! Brought this up to the managers attention, he however seemed not very interested in our complaints.
