Was Kunden über Mis Cazuelas sagen
Mis Cazuelas offers authentic Mexican food, with many praising the flavor and homemade tortillas. The menudo and Guiso de Puerco Verde receive high marks. However, some customers report inconsistent service, and the recent charge for chips and salsa is a point of contention.

The food was good, but it not tasty. Service was great. Atmosphere was fine.
Omg!! The food is awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍 and my favorite Guadalupe it's amazing! She's always with a smile and so friendly. ☺️
Great lunch place. Tex-Mex as well as traditional Mexican. Appears to be great dinner place too. Very casual. More parking in back.
We have been coming here for over 30 years, we drive all the way from Grand Prairie just to eat here, or for take out, it's the BEST authentic Mexican food ever!! The only bad thing is the waitresses have really bad attitudes, but other then that it really a good place to eat!!!!
This is a family owned business that personifies "from scratch cooking"! Once your order is taken the young when in the tortillaria start your order with fresh corn or flour tortillas. The chef will finish you order as if he is making it for himself. This place is a real class act for minimal coin. The wait staff are always helpful This place is easy to fall in love with.
Great place! I love their hamburgers and their gorditas. Their eggs with chorizo is delicious! I am not a regular customer, but when I go for lunch the male owner at the register is always nice and polite. And always asks if our order was ok.....
The food was great -- especially the gordita con queso. Prompt and thorough service. As a bonus, I happened to stop in during their Sunday afternoon Karaoke. I didn't partake, but I got to hear some songs in Spanish, sung very well.
Food is always good but the service needs to be more cheerful they need to act like they want customers to enjoy their experience 🙂 but they look like they don't care about them.
Food is delicious. Very authentic Mexican food. Fresh chips and two kinds of salsa, which are very good. My favorite are the corn gorditas with bean and cheese or beans with chorizo. I take my mother there to eat, and she absolutely loves it.
Yo best Mexican food in the metroplex I go here every time my band meets with our music mentor. The waitress' dont speak English very well (anyone who knows anything knows that means you bout to get served some good Mexican food) but if you take your time and are polite they are the same way and they work with through the hard stuff.
Incredible! Def the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. Passed this place for years, never thought it would be this good. Chips are light and freshly fried. Can't beat the salsa either 😍
Hot food ,not crowed. Called 5 minutes after I left about leaving behind my bennie on seat at the table, man answered was rude asked what table were you at ? where was that table at ? I just left and were 2 other tables with customers .Then phone got disconnected I called back man said ,rude, its here
The food was really good ! I order the menudo my way..they out did them self to please me, my wife order the chilaquiles, other than rhe sauce beign a bit to hot they where delicious. Service was good the waitress was on top with coffee .
Very authentic, salsa was perfect, food was delicious. Our waitress could've been more attentive, had to find her for to go boxes and the check, but otherwise...5 stars if you're looking for good Mexican food, this is the place
Exceptional homemade food flavor, beans, eggs, flour tortillas, salsa, etc. My picky husband was delighted with the plate he ordered. And I was pleased with the burrito size and the tasty filling of chorizo con huevo. It was our first time here and we were not disappointed at all! Keep cooking those delicious dishes!
The tortillas (made to order) are a next level treat. Our party got a mixed enchilada plate & chile rellenos and tableside guac...each a show stopper. This area has a lot of very good, authentic Mexican food, but this one is hands down the best on taste and portions.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down some of the best Mexican food in Dallas. The flavors are incredibly authentic and everything tastes like a home-cooked meal. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out. A true local gem!
Down home Mexican style decor to the core. Nice greeting at the door and fresh chips and two types if salsas await you with 2 homemade corn tortillas to liven up your palette. Wide variety of authentic Mexican dishes occupy the menu pages. Try the Chili Rellenos!
Great food! But they have curious pricing on their drinks and chips.
I’ve been eating here since I was 14. I’m now 40. The owner knows us pretty well now. I am picky about Mexican food, but Cazuelas is pretty much the closest thing to authentic Mexican food. The Gorditas are the best. It’s hard to find flour Gorditas, but they have them here & they’re amazing. They’ve raised the prices a bit, the quality isn’t as good as it used to be and the owner’s brother is so RUDE. But they still have the best fresh chips and pretty good Mexican food.
The food is consistently tasty. I had guiso de puerco verde, and it was nicely spiced with a fresh flavor and was delicious on flour tortillas. Prices are quite fair, and the ambience is unpretentiously simple. The service can be a little slow, but not unreasonably so.
One of the best attempts at authentic Mexican food there is in and around down town Dallas. Its not upscale dinning but its not pretentious either. The price is right and the food is good. The service is aimed at pleasing the customer. Overall a good experience.
Very authentic Mexican food. The service not so good. And the lady at the cash register not nice at all. I keep on coming here obviously for their food, is delicious, especially their menudo on the weekends. Location is good. Parking lot,...Good luck with that. The parking lot is very limited and it seems like it was designed for compact cars only.
They have good breakfast burritos to go. I dinned in for the first time and I thought it was OK. But their chips salsa was amazing. It was very thick and hard. I usually like the light thinner ones but their chips were sooooo flavorful. Menudo was really good but it was a little too spicy for my boyfriend.
The food was decent for being Mexican. The daily specials seemed more of a Tex-Mex style. Extremely slow. Not sure if they are short staffed in the kitchen but it did take quite some time to get our food.
Traveling all the way from Benbrook, Tx to Dallas on Main Street to enjoy some home cooking at this restaurant was well worth the miles. Waitresses are very polite and welcoming. The food is Grrreat!!! Home made Mexican food, hand made tortillas, both flour and corn. Don't need more than that. The atmosphere is very loving and like mom's dinner area. Customers go to eat great food, conversate with one another and leave very happily full. Their menu consists of plenty of favorites, I'll let you find out for your selves, don't want to spoil it by giving away all their treats. Believe me when I say that, " you will not be disappointed at all. The only downside to this place is, it takes a "LITTLE WHILE" to get your food. But if you've got time, it's well worth it. Enjoy folks!!
I was really looking forward to eating a nice burger that wouldn’t make me feel hungry within hours(fast food). I stoped at MIs cazuelas and order a Mexican Burger. It was $13 for a decent dive burger and a small potion of fries. Although the male at the front counter could have been a little more welcoming that didn’t stop me from enjoying their Delicious homemade burger/torta. The only reason I didn’t give 5 star is because the guy that takes the orders (I think he is the owner) lacks of carisma. Maybe that’s just the way he is but I hope he knows that his lack of enthusiasm and lack of projecting a warm welcome is probably causing him to lose customers. The ladies that were working while I was waiting for my food also were using profanity with each other. Not a big deal we are all adults but I think they also need to work on that. Other than that I would probably go back and order more.
Update: doubt ill be back unfortunately they started charging for the usually free chips n salsa no matter what you order. I asked for a side of salsa after my fajita order and was told it would also be a $2.50 charge without the chips... i asked if hit sauce was free and they brought me a huge bowl. Prob could have been two shakes from the hot sauce bottle, but got 20X as much as i needed but definitely no free salsa with a fajita order. Removing a star :( Times are tough eh. Nice spot. Authentic. Fast friendly service. Lots of space. I'm sure I'll be back. The sour cream chicken enchiladas were on point. Update: I first gave this place a 4/5 stars but after today's beef fajitas I'm adding a star. Wow! I can't think of a better place to order this. The guacamole was excellent, fresh pico, beans and rice plate rocked. The tender, and flavorful beef came out sizzling in its juices that caramelized the abundance of onions and red peppers. If the beef wasn't marinated it was seasoned to perfection. I might try the chicken next time just to compare.
Very good food!!
Came here attracted by the pozole on their menu, but they didn’t have it😏, had gorditas , they were ok , if you pay with card they charge you a little extra on top of your check , parking is tight
Friend recommended , but y'all need a new cook ! My appitser was a fail. The meat is looking good? Special is greasy an either the meet or the oil is old. Sorry I can't lie.
Nice little place, they were kind of busy, took a long time to be seated(table was ready) needed to be cleaned, our order took over an hour to be ready, food was ok, my husband ordered the bisteq ranchero or a la mexicana and it was basically salsa with a few chunks of meat, that's not how it's made, he hardly ate. Sorry but not going back.
The food was good but took 45 minutes to get it! When we paid the bill the man was rude and didn't acknowledge that I wasn't even there. He took my money and walked away!!!
Poor customer service. Food wasn't that great. This is the only place I've been to that charges for chips & salsa. This place has gone downhill. Will not go back.
the food and everything is great, just that i ordered tacos & the salsa option they have to offer aren’t good at all. the lady tends to forget some things, but in all great food😎
They food was good and hot ..they didn't do my enchiladas like I asked ..the service was great and quick i like that..and the atmosphere was ok...
Food was good but the music is way too loud and then the guy that signs it's too much for the little restaurant. Wont be going back due to the loud music can't hear the person across you talk.
I used to come here a lot when I was younger but not sure if its cause if Covid but the food sucked. The chile that they give you with the chips was so watery and needed salt. Had no flavor and what's worst they had no desserts at all. Our waitress seemed to not be focused, kept forgetting stuff. Bad service. Not going back for a long while.
Environment is so inhospitable. No greeting when you enter. The waitress serving you doesn't come by often. And if you ask another they are very reluctant to serve you. The food is delicious, but who can eat when the service is awful 😖. I think they read my review because we went back and the atmosphere is more welcoming. 😀
I had the large bowl of menudo. It was really good, but the "large" bowl was not that big. They did not have barbacoa or lengua tacos either. This is also the first time I've been charged for chips and salsa at a mexican restaurant. The service was good. My waitress checked on me regularly. The parking lot is pretty tight if you have a large vehicle. (I drive an F250 crew cab with a long bed.) I'm glad it wasn't that busy when I was there.
I went today and our waitress was really sweet. Our food did took long to come out and it was not that great but the tortillas were really good. The waitress was really the only reason im giving 3 stars.
Had never been to this establishment before. Parking lot was almost empty as was the restaurant on a Saturday evening. Notice on menu lets you know that chips and salsa are no longer complimentary. 2.50 if you want this. 4% is added to your bill if you use debit or credit card to pay. The food was good but not as good as I was expecting. I had pork guiso with beans and rice. My wife had a chile relleno that she felt was excessively greasy. Waitress was attentive but rather curt. Needless to say the experience was not very positive.
Good food, good lunch specials. SUPER SLOW. TOOK FOREVER TO GET OUR FOOD. This has happened more than once. It's no so bad if you're not in a hurry but if you're on your work lunch break it is NO BUENO.
Ordered eggs that came with beans, potatoes and bacon. Didn't get the potatoes and they refused to discount the missing food but they sure didn't forget that they were gonna start charging for the chips and salsa. Not coming here again, dude with huge teeth is rude.
I had an EXPERIENCE here. So let me start, the food wasnt too bad. Had great flavor texture and the ambience was very comfortable. the waitress was very nice and there wasnt a long wait. but the biggest issue i had is that I payed 100$!!! for a family of 6 who didnt even order on the adult menu. the charged us from the chips and they also include a obligatory 15% tip which was 20$ on its own. i have eaten at olive gardens for less. so basically the food is good, but it isnt cheap.
Unless they know you or you are connected they basically tend to ignore you. I saw a young black girl attempt to purchase several breakfast tacos, for her job I guess. They've completely ignored her. The waitress was on the phone the entire time. The young lady attempted to explain her wishes to the cook, who was another lady. She pretended not to understand the girl. The girl finally used very decent Spanish. The lady laughed at her and mumbled something out of the corner of her mouth. The girl left the place exasperated and fuming. Who could blame her. The food is only tolerable at best. Definitely not worth the extra effort.
Wanted to place an order to go, cashier was inattentive, not very nice. I left.
Food was ok but nothing I'd return for. Service was good but atmosphere was sad and dark.
The service was good but can't say the same for the food. I order the Chile relleno but it was greasy and had no taste. The Chile relleno lacked spices. The rice was ok. The beans were ok. The meal was not what I expected. It's a shame, the restaurant used to have a great reputation for their food not anymore! I will not recommend this restaurant nor will I be returning.😫
Worst service ever. We had to wait like over an hour to get the food and the guacamole and rice were not even good and on top of that they wanted to over charge us. Watch out the a waiter that works there. He is the slowest waiter I have ever seen.
Waiters are not attentive. No eye contact to show they want to take good care of you. Would not go back!! I did not feel this place. 0 stars if I could.
There going out of business restaurant... They should with bad service a very rude management. I ask for Beef soup they mentioned that no longer on the menu. I ask for fish and shrimp plate . We don't sell that here but I was confused these items are on the menu. Waited for 30 min after what they had and what a disaster. They have lots of Is ignorance by 1 get 1 free
It was a bad experience. I got the green enchiladas. The chicken was cold the tortillas were not heated. I ask for onions and they didn't have any onions. And the flavor was awful.
My family arrived for brunch and we walked into an empty restaurant...nobody to greet us or seat us. Finally someone from the kitchen window saw us seated and a waiter shortly gave us our menus. My dad and I had the misfortune of ordering the Lunch special of milanesa...DISGUSTING. It's the special because it's refried, not fresh-from the previous day I'm assuming. Also, our waiter did not check on our table to refill drinks and chips...of which we ate only the chips because the salsa was rancid and bubbly.
Terrible customer service. I went two times the first to try and the second to give them a second chance. No worth it. The food is acceptable but my money doesn’t pay only for food but also for service. If I could I will not give them even a start.
Food was OK sucked that they didn't offer barbacoa in the menu. I did not like that they charge for chips and salsa and I did not like that they charge you a fee if you pay with a debit card. I'm surprised they didn't charge for parking.
They are so rude especially the guy in glasses with his negative attitude. It makes the entire experience of eating out go south.
Nickel and dime you with all charges, even charge for to-go boxes. Long time customer that won’t be returning unfortunately
Great taste, service can be improved ( a lot)waitress didn't show up after bringing the food. Had to look for her to get our check. Didn't find her.
I been coming to mis cazuelas since I was a child, today however was different. My niece asked for a glass of water, when she started drinking it she said the water tasted weird. She looked at her glass and there was stuff floating in the water with a dead roach. We told the waitress and she said oh they just fumigated the place and the roaches was just dropping dead everywhere. We paid and left we was disgusted.
They over charge me. And expected a better tip. I wouldn't mind but the owner didn't even help the staff
Ordered coffee and a roach was on my cup. Asked for quesadillas without jalapeños for my toddler. They forgot or didn't listen and put the jalapeños with the vinegar then removed them leaving the vinegar all over his food. Never coming back here...
The waitress named Lupe was very rude and disrespectful. She took more then 15 minutes to ask is I needed a refill, even after I chased her down ask told her I needed something to drink. The food was cold . I will never go there again
Food is terrible not authentic Mexican food order the shrimp Al mojo de ajo didn’t even taste like garlic the chips and salsa has no taste
This place has literally gone down hill. Was my favorite spot few years back. Walked in, dirty and unorganized; boxes and clutter in entrance. Sat down, 1st thing waitress says: "do you want chips, they're not free?" Lol. That's fine. Ordered appetizers. Burnt quesadillas, instead of jalapeno poppers, gave me cheese sticks. I mentioned it to her. She said they are jalapenos but let me check. Came back with poppers and grabbed cheese sticks off my plate and said cook needs these back and walked away. Eesh. After, walked up to register to pay, approached manager by saying hello, how are you. He ignored and said, ticket please. Told me how much total is and that was a wrap. I simply paid and walked out feeling terrible after this experience. Guess everyone was just having a bad day there, but I don't think I'll be coming back for a while. 😔
The service was actually ok waitress was attentive and helpful so they get points for that but the food wasn’t great. Very bland flavor not much season(flavor) at all. My agua de pina tasty like they used old tap water to make so I changed that for a Jamaica which was fairly better. Like I said service was good food not great. I wouldn’t be returning to dine at this establishment.
Ok I saw a 3.7 rating and said ok not every place is going to be a 5 star and that’s ok. I should’ve actually read the reviews. Please believe them. Just so you know none of the huevo plates come with salsa de molcajete. Additionally, the flour tortillas are built like Taco Bell chalupa shells. I sincerely don’t think the food is worth the money, but if you’re desperate, it’s edible, so that’s good. I think ordering here is what’s finally going to convince me to listen to my mom que hay comida en la casa 😞
Horrible experience, I ordered them albondigas and my brother ordered some huevos rancheros. man the soup tasted like it was days old and you can tell when it is heated up in a microwave, my drink didn't taste right either and the worst thing was the staff, who was indifferent to it, it was like they didn't care. I have eaten soup from a can that tasted 1000 times way better, the idea of going to this place hoping to experience home made food is just ridiculous, I hope the people that runs this place somehow could taste their own food before sending it to the costumer, but i doubt it it's like no standard whatsoever. Stay clear of this place.
Still crappy, service is crap. Highway robbery, Way over priced for the amount of food. Will never be going back! I don't recommend this restaurant!!!
Food is crap!!!!! Service is worse!!!! Place is dirty!!!!! And the owners are the rudest people I have ever seen in a restaurant. They take your money at the cash register both the wife and the husband (or whatever they are) and they don't smile, don't say thank you and a couple of times they literally snapped my money out of my hand. WTH, #%$@ be nice at least when you take money. But you won't be getting anymore of mine that is for sure.
One of the worst Mexican Restaurants I've ever eaten. First the waitress has a personality of a rock. Not attentive whatsoever. Had to ask for water. Waited 30 minutes before the waitress came out to tell us our food will be out soon. 20 minutes later until we finally got it. Funny, because there were only 1 other customer in the whole restaurant. The Carne Asada was salty and the Enchiladas were hard as cardboard. The waitress just didn't care. My opinion, do not go there if you want to enjoy your food. Not recommended. Awful experience.
What a bullshittt asss restaurant!! I went earlier today and there were Noo customers, yet it took them 15 minutes to come to my table & tell me someone will take my order soon, so I paitently waited till 20 more minutes passed and then someone finally came to my table to take my order🙄by that time I was already tired so I told them just forget it even thoe I was really hungry😪with covid being around your would figure they would appreciate our business but no not these ppl!!! I really hope no future customers of there’s have to deal with what I went through with them!!!
We ordered online, drove 40 minutes only because we were craving gorditas de harina just to get there and be completely ignored. The lady at the registered asked me what I wanted and I said I was there to pick up my order, she looked at me and said I don’t have any orders, las order just left. She had a real unprofessional attitude and was looking like she just had get up from bed and said well if you want to place an order you can wait and get your food prepared, I just said no that’s fine and left. Do not offer online ordering if your employees don’t know how or just don’t check online orders.
The wait staff is very unfriendly, the table was dirty, one of our guests had to wipe the table down. The food was mediocre to very bad. I ordered the pozole, the special of the day, and it was almost inedible. They charge 4% for using a credit card. We tried to get our credit card back and the man went ahead and ran it through after we said we wanted to pay cash. He pretended not to speak English. Very rude! Stay away.
As a local I was very disappointed with their service. Sat at a table for more than 20 min and no one went to take my order while they were attending all the tables around me. I was ignored and someone who wasn’t working my section had to come take my order. Rude waitresses who do not care about clients. Not going back!
Okay this is about my 6th time eating here. Personally I don't see anything amazing. But I meet a friend here who likes to eat lunch here. This last visit was horrible. The milk for my coffee was spoiled. I ordered the mix fajitas and they were overcooked. I personally like well done meat but there is a difference between well done and totally burnt. As I started eating them all I could taste was charred meat and veggies. It was really disappointing. I ended up just eating a bean taco because my stomach was not having it. The lady's did not even apologize.
Worst experience of my life Food with no taste The terrible waitress Service The horrible atmosphere
How disappointing! This is our go to place. AC is not working. Waitresses got in a verbal fight in front of us. They charge you for everything! Chips, to go boxes and 4% if you use your card. They give you a paper receipt and at the register they charge you want they want. What century are we in! Ownership needs to revaluate their system or they will continue to lose business. A shame cause the food is so good. I guess the cooks know what they’re doing. And people get judged upon their appearance. One poor man had to pay for his food before just cause he looked homeless.
Food not hot at all. Sauce on enchiladas dark red and thick very much like spaghetti sauce. Did not come with chips and salsa. Worst Mexican food I've ever had.
I arrived at 12:03pm while I waited to be seated I noticed they had 2 or 3 tables available but no one there took the time to seat me now I'm not the type to cause a scene so I patiently waited after 24 minutes a waitres asked if would like to be seated. Now 12:27 I sat and than waited another 18 minutes to have a different waitress bring me a menu. Now I completely understand that Sundays are pretty busy but most definitely this by far is the worst experience I've had with a restaurant. The food was mediocre at best.
Bad customer service!!! Having to repeatedly ask for refills. Waitress never came around to check if we needed anything. After having to get up to ask for the ticket the Waitress decided to tip herself 15.00 with out telling us. Which we would have never known if we didn't itemize ouR ticket. That's when the cashier explained that the Waitress tipped herself 15.00.. i didn't pay the 15.00 I asked the cashier to remove the 15.00.. WILL NEVER GO AGAIN TO THIS PLACE!
This place is nasty I order a cocktail shrimp and it’s very blend for a simple dish I also order very some flatuas they were very soft due to the heavy oil on them also they rice and beans no salt or flavor I will not be coming back please pay attention to the reviews this place is over priced. I do recommend ojedas on maple ave great food and prices…
Worst place. Food not that great Worst customer service
We came to town for a Doctors appointment and looked up a spot to eat. This came up. The food wasn't bad and the service was good. My wife & mother-in-law ordered chilaquiles, my father-in-law ordered enchiladas. My daughter and I ordered breakfast burritos. 3 coffees, horchata And water. When they brought me the bill, it came to $117. They tried to slip in "gratuity". "Tables of 5 or more pay 17% gratuity" she said. But menu states "6 or more". She argued that it was an old menu. And they charged for an extra plate aswell. Very disappointed
Mis Cazuelas – A Disappointing Experience I had high hopes for Mis Cazuelas, but my experience was nothing short of frustrating. First, it took 20 minutes just for our server to take our order, which is unacceptable considering the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. While waiting, we witnessed something shocking..one of the servers stole tip money from another server's table. It was unprofessional and left a bad impression on the staff's integrity. When our food finally arrived, I took only two bites of my enchiladas before noticing a hair on my plate. Completely disgusted, I addressed the issue with our waitress. Instead of making it right, they tried to charge me full price for a plate I barely ate. After some back-and-forth, they finally agreed to only charge me for the soda I drank, but the situation should have never escalated to that point. Overall, my experience was terrible. The service was slow, the environment felt unprofessional, and most importantly, the food was not sanitary. I will not be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values cleanliness and good service.
A very nice place and excellent food. The service is good too, but the waitress that served us did realy bad. We like to go back but I don't want that waitress to service our table.
Will not be coming back here. Waitress came to us and said “you ready?” Then disappeared on us then came back and everything we asked she had to get an answer. Took our order around 2:20 and by 2:50 we decided to just leave. They only had 3 tables occupied, so why the long wait. Went to the cashier to pay for our water and chips and got a little attitude from her cause we did not know who our waitress was. I told the lady she never went back and we never got our food. She called the waitress over to her and the waitress flat out told her that she forgot about the order. I told the waitress, we came out of our booth and saw all the waitresses and other guys sitting around I thought they was having a meeting I was being a smartalek at this point and said we been waiting at our table like dumba****. We got no apology or nothing. Very disappointed and pissed off. If I could I would not even give them 1 star.
Food is okay. Service is not that great. My mom and I dine in about a couple weeks ago. There was an older man (Which I am assuming his the owner or manager) but when my mom and I walked in, we sat at a table and this man yelled at waitress to go get our table multiple times from across the restaurant. I believe it is a very unprofessional way to run a restaurant and horrible way to treat your team. Furthermore, when it was time to check out, I went up to the register and there was a young man in line looking at the menu, trying to order. The same older guy that was upfront tells this young man( which is a costumer) to move because I was trying to pay. It was a very uncomfortable and embarrasing moment for me because he was very rude to this young guy trying to order. I apologized to this guy for this older man's behavior. I hope he didn't order from this place after what happened. I will no longer buy food from this place!
