Great lunch place - good selection of salads and sandwiches w/ rotating daily soup selection. Everything is fresh and there is a wide selection of prepared dishes, especially casseroles, to take home and cook for dinner.

Short Stop food is always yummy, sorry I didn't take a snap shot of my roast beef sandwich. Only thing I wish for more lettuce. I love lettuce..

I like their food. It takes like home cooked meals. Just bring it home and heat...yum! Oh! the cucumber soup is delicious (not warm)!!

The quiches are delious!! Unlike any of the typical ones that you always get. Fresh ingredients and batter not made with butter or heavy creams.

I love the chicken salad and the convenience of the casseroles. Just pop them in the oven or microwave and your done.

First: I 100% want everyone to eat here, because the food is brilliant and real. This is basically a sandwich shop with additional coolers of prepared casseroles to bring home. The decor is a somewhat worn blend of whimsy and practicality, and it creates an ambiance. This is not glamour or understated professionalism. This is good, healthy food in a safe place that makes you feel like you're hanging out in your friend's mom's kitchen. This is food that is prepared by hand with care and real ingredients. The carrot chips were hand-cleaned and scraped, not commercially or by machine. That is a level of care that renews something damaged in our world. The recipes are traditional with creative touches and lots of options. The spiced tea and Mexican tuna sandwich were both delicious, and my husband fell in love with the reuben. This is a place out of time. There is a sense of community and self-responsibility when you grab a seat, when you wave at neighbors, and when you wipe up your crumbs as you leave. The food feels like that, like the menu of a healthy neighborhood get together from the 1960s. That level of care, just with better ingredients.

My second time getting to go food. I got the tuna with broccoli. It was so good I didn't even touch my crackers. Will be back for sure. Yum yum!

Great meals to enjoy at home when you simply don’t have the time (or effort) to cook a healthy (and delicious) meal for yourself or family. Also a great lunch spot. The chicken salad is simple but perfect!

This review is for the large tray of cookies they do for catering. Wow I had to attend an event and was given the leftover cookie tray from this place. Really really good cookies guys. I'm picky when it comes to baked goods. I just won't eat crappy baked goods. These cookies on the other hand, dieters beware. There must be 10 types of cookies on the tray and there was not one type that was bad or subpar. If you need me, I'll be working out, I normally don't eat a dozen cookies a day, but this tray of cookies was so exceptional I have been.

The chicken salad sandwich is not unique but it certainly isn’t bland either. It tasted great. The cashier was very nice and helped me out when I was uncertain. It’s clear this place is well liked by the Park Cities community.

It would be kind if when you call in an order and say you have never been there... they would let you know everything is served COLD and you have to warm it up. I am in my truck so apparently not eating until I get home... which is hours from now. Spent 20 on lunch and not eating lunch from Short Stop!

In this neighborhood often. Gone here 3 times, and it gets worse everytime. Like someone else said, paid $8 for a BLAND chicken sandwich on stale bread. ChickFilet any day over this. The blond hair older lady at the cashier is always stuck up too. Not impressed, but gave it a fair shake. Won't be a 4th time, I am sorry to say. I love to support small businesses but they have to step it up too.

You’d be better off eating from the dumpster of the restaurant next door then even eating here for free. Take an Imodium or bring a vomit bag you may get as horribly sick as I did
