Had an amazing dinner tonight. I've been in danbury over 25 years and I didn't even knew this gem existed! The steak came out sizzling and that's how I love my food, steaming HOT!!!! I'll definitely be back. Our server, Egzon was seriously phenomenal. Very genuine and humble!

We visit this place more than 5 times every year to dinner and never have a bad experience. The steak is perfect, very good drinks and excellent service.

Fantastic bone in ribeye. Comes sizzling on a plate with your choice of sides. I really liked the ambiance of this place and the service was fantastic. I will be back to try other dishes as well.

Excellent meal, especially for the cost. Prime rib eye was served on a sizzling plate, and I opted for the au poivre sauce which was stellar. Baked potato with salted butter and sour cream were definitely a great pairing with the creamed spinach.

Dinner and drinks, delicious. Open air bar and seating, perfect. Service, on point. I highly recommend grabbing a bite here!

With 24 hour notice they were able to accommodate my party of 35 after two other venues cancelled on us - the last cancellation being one day before the party. Dealt primarily with Nick who was awesome. The food was great and one of my guests from Switzerland broke their neutrality and declared it the best steak they ever had. The party room was exactly what we needed and our guests were very happy with the service. Will certainly use them for future events.

Hands down the best steakhouse experience in the reasonable vicinity. You'd have to go to Brooklyn to get better! The steaks are tender and flavorful on their own, the sides are traditional and delicious, and even the chicken is juicy and cooked with care and attention. If something on the menu sounds good, it's definitely going to be great!

It was my first time dining and I will be back! The calamari was excellent, so were the scallops! My steak was cooked perfectly as one would expect. All this means little unless you have the service to match and we had Egson looking after us all night which made the great outing complete. Thank you again!

Made to order butterfly, well done, 8oz filet mignon. Mouth water, ser ed very hot. Creamed Spinach was tender and tasty. Compliments to the chef tonight. Week night. Not loud, not rushed, and great service. Party of 14 people.

Kudos to Mix Prime Steakhouse. My wife and I experienced a wonderful time during a birthday celebration over the weekend and we were impressed from beginning to end. Decor, food, drinks and an awesome staff. Our waiter was top notch.

Mix Prime Steakhouse delivered an awesome experience from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, professional, and really made sure we were taken care of. The food was excellent—everything was cooked just right and full of flavor. You can tell they care about quality. Definitely one of the best spots around for a nice dinner. I’ll be coming back for sure.

Mix prime is a popular local restaurant and I have always heard great things about it. The service was super slow given it was Mother’s Day which is quite understandable. Can’t expect great service on a busy day. Then one of the staff noticed that we were waiting a while to be served and came over to take our order. We ordered a cocktail and three appetizers. The cocktail looked very mediocre with nothing special about it. The drink has absolutely no garnish not even a dried fruit. The fried calamari was cold and chewy because I think it was sitting for a while. The appetizer portions were really small for the price. I never really have issues with fried calamari portions because it’s always enough for four. For dinner we ordered 12 oz fillet mignon cooked medium rare. Well, it was delicious and cooked to perfection but it was more on the rare side than medium rare. The side of asparagus was okay and definitely not the best I have had. Overall, I was not impressed with what I had expected of a Mix Prime. The staff was super nice and that’s why I would give them 4 stars but it was based just off of food, it will be more like 3 star. The place is absolutely beautiful and we loved the vibe but the food quantity, cocktail menu and overall the quality of food can be far better.

Good visit... first time in a while. K lived the Prime NY Strip. Tuna tartar was good.

Restaurant 4.2/5 French dip 2.7/5 Good steakhouse and seafood. Overall, upscale quality food and drink in an American tavern aesthetic.This is our 3rd time coming and we enjoy. Be prepared to spend $$$. Today however, I was here with intentions. One item on the menu. The French dip. 2.7 out of 5. Does not beat out widow browns as not only best in area, but best ever. The au jus rocked, but I was disappointed with the steakumms style meat on the sandwich. It was dry, and i was expecting better quality, especially after previously having various steaks and other items from them menu. The meat in here was assembled with love and care, which is a huge issue at a lot of places. It was not stacked like a child did it, but scooped and layered with love. My biggest issue with this fd, is that is it no where near worth $22. What a sham.

Stopped here for an early dinner & the food was good. The risotto was a bit undercooked & not as flavorful as the last time, so I was a bit disappointed but the service & atmosphere was good. Some GF options are available but sparse.

Very good steakhouse. Decor is very nice. Great seating at the bar. Good selection of beers. Great selection of wine and spirits. I tried the 18 ounce ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I had creamed spinach as a side. It was very good. I would definitely recommend this location and will try it again.

great food.. good service. if you get the right bartender or waiter.. also they do custom dishes and special requests.. look at the photos.. they have great food not perfect and not cheap.. but good

Place was nice 👍 food was decent. The Mac & Cheese was not good at all. My rating would have been a 5, however the Mac & Cheese was like in Elementary School. No Bueno

We were hungry, we were in Connecticut, we were in Danbury, that summarized my choice process. Call me spoiled by NYC, but to me the only good thing in this place was the steak, everything else was just okay, no less but equally no more. I would expect the same quality from the local diner, sorry but my expectations are higher for a steak house.

We came here for Christmas Eve. Plenty of parking in the lot. Google gps brings you very close but tells you go to the right before you turn into the parking lot. Turn left into the actual parking lot. The restaurant looks great and was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The whole staff we encountered were friendly and nice. There is a nice bar area if you don’t want to sit at a table. The food was ok. Might have been an off night because it was a holiday. I had the Lobster Bisque which was a special on the menu. It had pieces of lobster meat in it which not all places do. My steak was just ok. I had the 18oz Rib Eye. It was cooked exactly how I asked and was very hot. It just didn’t have much taste. I will definitely come back and give it another shot. Will definitely wait until after the holiday season.

Max 40 is great when they are not super busy. I had the clams oreganata, and the bacon was undercooked. Not only that it could have done without the wilted romaine lettuce as a garnish. My husband had the crab cake appetizer which was better than the last time. This time around it was full of crab as opposed to the breadcrumb filling. My husband had the tuna which he said was tasteless. I had the ravioli with braised short ribs, which was pretty good. My husband enjoyed the flan while I had the creme brulee which as you can see from the picture wasn't completely caramelized. We've had some really great meals at Max 40, but by the same token, we've had some really mediocre meals. In essence, Max 40 is hit or miss. The one constant Max 40 is the staff, they are always friendly and extremely accommodating. Dinner for two with a bottle of wine is about $140.00.

I went to this place on a Saturday night dinner, I have to admit that the atmosphere was very classy, the food was ok, the cook played safe, there is no flavor in my steak, it was basically a safe food. My fried calamari was way to dry. Overall the food was ok, didn't make enough impression to remember the next day. The environment was great!

So the only option on the day we ate here was brunch. If I had known in advance I would not have made the reservation. Steak was OK but too medium and the eggs were runny. I might give the place another try but not on a Sunday.

Didn’t get the table I reserved and got to sit across from it empty all night on my son’s birthday . Hostess was not friendly and was walking around with here coat on all night. Mac and cheese was dry and sent back. My husbands $50 steak was better than our unseasoned, over cooked $195 tomahawk. We were there and thrilled on a Sunday. Wouldn’t go again on a Thursday. Not thrilled at all. Had to grab waiter from the bar for our check.

We went here on New Year’s Eve which is always a busy time but having been to many restaurants on this holiday in past years, this was one of the most disappointing experiences. The hosts were not welcoming, the food was below average and completely over priced and the service was average. The drinks were the only thing worth going for but definitely not the food or service. The atmosphere is mediocre and the parking was horrendous. There are much better steak houses with more affordable prices than this. The fried calamari appetizer was like rubber and not crispy on the outside. The steaks were over cooked as far as medium and medium well typically goes (capital grille, Ruth’s Chris, Peter Luger as examples) and the waiter never explained to us the “color chart of pinkness or red” before he placed the order. The steaks all came out well done and not to our liking. We made staff aware and then they explained the color chart. They did offer to re cook them but we had waited so long for dinner by that point we just left it. Kindly they sent over complimentary drinks. This was not a good dining experience and I do not recommend this establishment mainly due to the price and service. It was all mediocre.

Honestly everything was great! Good was awesome , drinks were good ! I did dine with my 2yr old son, when our bill came at the end of the night the waiter added gratuity to a party of 2! Really??? Then before I said anything he came over to me to say, oh the guy before me submitted to add “gratuity” it wasn’t me, it was him. It was very weird honestly, my thoughts are he thought a black women with her child wouldn’t tip him, well jokes on him because the amount he added to my bill was less than the amount I was going to tip him! So thanks Sir for trying to be slick and really you screwed yourself over ! Backfired racism is what I would call it ! I’ll never return because of this!

The restaurant is very nice inside but the food is not. There are many good restaurants in the Dandury area but this is not one of them we will not be returning. The bread was served cold, the steaks were burnt and the drinks mixed si quickly we had to stir them to make them taste better. Will not be going back

Yesterday was our first time coming to Mix. Went around 5:30 and sat in the dining area. Our waiter immediately came off as rude as we had to ask him THREE times for a new water glass. He actually argued with us and insisted on it being clean. He said, "we just stack them thats why". With respect, we didn't ask why it looked the way it did. We just wanted a new glass without trouble. Someone else had to bring one, and it was extremely awkward. There was another man who told us the specials and we WISHED he was our waiter!!! Our waiter came back and repeated the specials, so we asked for calamari, then our 2 dishes with a side of brussels. He then said something along the lines of "wow, you must be hungry" which was another awkward moment. He gave us our food and at another point later he said "are you sure you can eat it all?" I can't even remember his name, but this was not at all how I thought this experience was going to be. Not only that, but our food was just alright. We ordered 2 specials, the surf and turf, which was $70. It was completely under salted, and the portion could have been slightly larger. Very very strange that they would serve the butter and sauce on a $70 dish. Not sure if that's to make it look bigger??? The other dish was the filet tips with mushroom risotto. While the risotto was okay, the filet tips were also under salted. The best thing we had was the calamari, mashed potatoes, and brussels. While I'm glad the door was open to the dining room for a nice breeze, we had a TON of flies around the food and had to keep swatting them away. A very strange experience that we would not ever come back for.

Terrible! For a very expensive restaurant I had a horrible experience. To start the waiter was in a hurry and made me fell pressured to order the food and missed the sauce. The food took more than one hour to be ready and nobody said that could be take too long. The salad was very mushy and warm, it looks like this stayed a long time out of the refrigerator. The steak was sour because it was burned on top, also the hot dishes they served was disgusting, dirty and burned. If they want to serve food in a hot dish they should warm nice and clean dishes for this. Also they didn't gave me a knife for steaks, it was a regular knife to cut a burned steak. It was definitely horrible. I don't recommend.

It is easy to create a message online and leave something pessimistic about anything. I don’t like to sound terrible or like a Karen but when you go out for Valentine’s Day to somewhere that is supposed to be of a specific manner and are treated unfairly that isn’t good to me. I’ve never ONCE left a review on google. But I wanted to take to here to tell you guys of our experience. We had to change our reservation because of our work scheduling to 8:45 to celebrate. We were then told to wait upon our arrival with guests of later reservations getting their tables. Our server could work at a McDonald’s. He had no experience and a lack of communication, not asking us if we need anything. He had come to our table once throughout the whole night before giving our food. We were giving paper towels instead of linen and were not treated as guests. We did not leave a tip and that goes without reason as I work in a restaurant and know what it’s like to work in this industry. I hope this message reaches the restaurant and people to realize that they will disrespect people against morals of restaurants. We had arrived at 8:45 and did not leave close to midnight.

I attended a private dinner last night with about 25 other guests. Service was excellent, but food was very disappointing. The stuffed mushroom appetizer looked unappetizing and one could not even tell that it was a mushroom. It was awful! The fried calamari was so rubbery, we could not eat it. The bruschetta was o.k. The steak certainly was not prime. It was extremely overcooked and very fatty. Mashed potatoes and carrots were perfectly cooked, but under seasoned. I will also say that the front of the restaurant could use some cleaning up. The planters were rusty and the plants are dead. This is not a good first thing to see upon entering a restaurant. It leaves a bad impression. This was my 3rd bad experience at this restaurant, so I will not be returning or recommending it to anyone I know. Thank you.

Our waiter forgot to put in our steak order. We picked this place mainly because they served my favorite stake (Prime Rib) we finally ask what was the gold up but when he checked he said he is so sorry he forgot to put it in and now they are out of prime rib. Out reservation was 6:15 and by 8.19 they were out of prime rib. I was so pissed off. I had to eat NY Strip not what I was dreaming about for Christmas Eve dinner.

Had dinner here earlier tonight at the bar. Was about 5:30 or so. Place was empty & almost completely dark. I had to move to the other side of the bar near a lamp to read the menu. My salmon was very good, though I needed to turn the light on my phone on to see my meal. Please turn the lights on/up inside! It’s a very bad vibe on an otherwise good meal! Don’t understand what you are doing. I’ll be ack when you turn the lights on!
