Quaint spot, great food, plenty of parking.
Terrific service, excellent food. A restaurant that has its act together. A Saturday reservation, busy and they still provided an excellent service. One of the better restaurants based on our experience. Thank you Jimmy for the attention you and your staff provide your clients.
Stopped unexpectedly on a traffic- filled trip Sunday night after the Pats - Jets game. Staff was attentive and friendly. Great menu. Owner shared his fascinating Immigrant story. Turned a lousy trip into a lovely one!
Friendly staff. I am handicap and they did everything possible to make sure I was safe and comfortable They were amazing and the service was excellent The food is amazing and I am very pleased I will definitely return
Great staff, drinks and food. We came back up north and loved the food. We can't get good Italian in Knoxville TN. Very much enjoyed our night at Primavera.
Fine Northern Italian & Mediterranean Food is excellent, prices are reasonable as are the portions... The waiter we had was beyond attentive! Knowledgeable, Friendly & Polite! I'll definitely be going back, so many more dishes to try. 😋
We had to stop there at 3pm on a Friday, so naturally the place was very quiet. The servers remained attentive, helpful and very friendly. The food was exceptional, and they were very considerate of our baby, going so far as to bring things to occupy him like bread sticks despite the fact we were only there to feed him and then have a snack on our journey. We will definitely be coming here again on our future travels northward!
Fish was extremely fresh and not fishy. Service was impeccable, and there is a tremendous welcoming and friendly vibe in the restaurant. Certainly worth a drive for quality food and fresh ingredients. Most of their pasta is made in-house as well
The rack of Lamb with the chevre was outstanding and WoW plentiful! The Gnocchi Bolognese, a simple fare and staple for many Italian places, was outstanding and totally worth trying! We happen to dine when a Christmas party was going and it was so much fun! They offered us a quiet room but we declined gleefully!
Treated like family. Had my son's graduation party here. Staff was very attentive and food was excellent. We love Jimmy, Sfven and Jack.
Excellent choice for Italian food. The Chilean Sea Bass was delicious served with gently cooked potatoes and crisp vegetables. A side of vegetables was also perfectly prepared. Beautiful dining room with a lovely mural on one wall, and tables with views of the woods outside are available. A private dining room is also available. The bar is attractive as well.
went yesterday and were only 1 of 2 tables there. the food was amazing. definitely worth the price and one of the better restaurants I've eaten at in northern Westchester. food was super flavorful and portions are great. not like other high priced restaurants that offer small portions. they also gave us a free dessert for it being a birthday! we will go back here for sure. would be the perfect place to have a small party. waiter also seemed knowledgeable about the food and as previously working in the food industry myself found this a huge plus.
This restaurant is a culinary delite ! The setting is cozy, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The food.. from the shellfish platter appetizer to the pasta and main entrees and desserts are all absolutely delicious ! They have a nice variety of drink specials. Must try the screaming banana Martini ! We even had our husbands ordering it after tasting 😁 Definitely will be back for more !
My wife and I spent our anniversary here this evening and it was the perfect spot. Cozy atmosphere, fantastic food, great service, reasonably priced. The waiter "Freddy" was terrific and made sure that our every need was taken care of. Great place and we will take our family and friends next time.
BEST restaurant for miles in any direction, I've been going for 15+ years and always a great meal! Steak, pasta, fish all classically prepared as well as other specialties. Try the shrimps with avocado! Wait staff is always friendly and professional. Can't miss dining!!
Me and a couple friends stopped by here for dinner. Service was immaculate. The food was even better! 10/10 would recommend, I def will be coming back soon!
I usually go for the happy hour which is fantastic. Jack at the bar is great, always remembers your drink and refills immediately. I usually order the lamb shank. So tender and delicious
Had a private party here in July for 45 friends and family. The entire process from booking the date until the end of the night was exceptional. Food was fantastic and service above par. Would highly recommend Primavera for either an intimate dinner or to celebrate a special occasion.
I've never had a bad meal or experience whether it's the happy hour specials or off the dinner menu, the food and service are exceptional. Tonight I ordered the Chilean Seabass which was prepared perfectly.
Decided to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday at Primavera. The food was quite good and the kitchen prepared an entree to order for the birthday girl which was much appreciated. Several staff took care of us although we were never really certain who our server was during our visit. Drinks were made perfectly: it's surprising how difficult it can be to get a well made margarita but not for their bartender! I have worked in this industry for quite some time so I appreciate the effort made by the staff.
From the moment you walk into Primavera you are greeted in a warm and welcoming way. The staff goes above and beyond to assure you have a superb dining experience. At this restaurant, they don’t only give you a basket of bread as is popular with Italian restaurants, but they also bring a plate of antipasto including pepperoni, prosciutto, olives, and cheese. Our entrees were delicious and so well done. We were also surprised at dessert time when they brought out a lovely plate of biscotti with our coffee. Freddy and Chris were just outstanding. They were so helpful with explaining the menu and making recommendations. They made you feel right at home. If you are in the area and looking for a really special restaurant, this is the one. The staff is top notch and their food is delicious! 5 stars!
Loved it, best portobello mushroom appetizer I have ever had and the duck ravioli sauce was great. Wonderful service and the owner came over to check in on us and was very nice. Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service!
Great food. Love the happy hour menu!
Great local spot for Italian classics. The menu is full of them and all at a decent price. Really good for large parties to celebrate an occasion. We had a reservation for a group of birthdays and ordered a ton of apps and such. Everything came out excellent and the staff/service was super attendant to our table and dietary needs. The portions I noticed were like right on the money, not too little or too much, which is great because they also have a solid dessert menu and brewed coffee. Plenty of parking on premises and easy access ramp inside for those that need it!
Every time I've been to this restaurant I've had great experiences. Food is excellent and prepared with care. I love that you're given a basket of bread and entree's come with veg and starch. The wait staff are excellent! Lovely atmosphere!
We had a family event...about 60 people, maybe more. Many times restaurant food quality suffers for large gatherings as opposed to regular restaurant seating. Not so with Primavera. Everything was excellent from the Martini at the bar, to appetizers, to main meal (I had salmon) to the service. Very attentive, excellent service and food. I would return.
Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor seating in a wonderfully restored colonial. Elegant and friendly service, Delicious options for a completely satisfying meal. Enjoy those cocktails as well
Treated like family. Outstanding service. Staff is amazing. Food is delicious. Calamari, steak, pasta, Caesar salad, crab cakes, salmon - all were extremely delicious! The tiramisu was fresh and homemade - the best we’ve ever had! Great for romantic dinners or parties. Can’t wait to return.
The primavera dining restaurant was a wonderful experience I would definitely recommend to anyone in the neighborhood. The food was delicious, fresh, and high quality. And the service was quick. On top of all this, the indoor dining area was beautiful with paintings, giant windows to see the trees outside, and a pleasant cozy atmosphere.
My family has had showers and big birthday parties at this wonderful restaurant. Most recently, we were there for our 3d Mothers' Day in a row. Flavorful antipasti, and a full menu of great Italian food at a reasonable price. The wait staff is very professional and the rest of the guests seemed as happy to be there with their families as we were with ours. Great meals in a warm atmosphere. I recommend it highly.
We had a great experience. The food was so delicious and didn’t take long at all. The owner and staff are sooo nice. We’re definitely going back.
Great atmosphere and decor. The staff is super attentive and friendly. And the food is absolutely delicious. The chicken is as soft as butter!
Great place deserves 5 stars for food- hot, good serving size and delicious. Beautiful decor and good service. Very upscale and reasonable price considering everything
One of the best restaurants and service we have ever had. Vinny was our server and went above and beyond for us. Everyone on staff is super friendly and inviting. Also, the music is a perfect volume to not be bothersome. I had a great birthday dinner here and highly recommend it
I dined in with my wife for our anniversary. It was a beautiful setting, with attentive wait staff. The house cabernet complimented the meal. The food was tasty with appropriate portion sizes. The tiramisu with a cappuccino was an excellent end to the night. Prices were very reasonable for a romantic dinner for two.
The Bronzino is the best! Daily happy hour and a price fix lunch option. Freshest fish you can ask for. The staff is so nice too. My mom always asks for something not on the menu and they make it for her. Great cocktails, the bartender, Jack, should have his own show. They do private parties and are excellent with big groups. Definitely a local culinary treasure. My daughter compiled a photo collage of the deliciousness they served up last week on Friday. #freshfish #doversole #privateparty#biggroupdinner #primavera #datenight #besthappyhour #happyhournorthernwestchester #martini
We’ve been coming here for many years and absolutely love it! My family has had so many parties here over the years and they always do such an amazing job. Whether you’re coming for dinner or their daily happy hour (4-6:30pm everyday; 50% off any drink and bar bites) or throwing a party, you won’t regret it! We came yesterday for happy hour with 8 people and the service was incredible.
We had a lovely experience! Although it’s a table cloth restaurant, the prices are fair. The menu has some good options, enough ones so you don’t get lost. I had the sea scallops and it was amazing! First time I had such big scallops in my plate, you can really taste how good they are. Service is really good, waiters super polite and available. Place is crowded, make sure to make reservations and plan ahead.
Had our daughters baptism party here. Service was amazing and so was the food. We felt that for the money we got a lot. Our relatives still talk about how good the food was.
Great food. Not as fancy a place as I was expecting. Lunch specials are decent. For $26. But dinner oh momma you gotta have some money for that. Waitstaff were great. But matrie D a jerk
Great food. Excellent service. 4 stars only because decor appears dated; a bit of spruce up and ... voila, to 5 you go.
Nice atmosphere excellently prepaired food with a pleasing presentation. Limited wine selection but well apportioned. Service was attentive untill a private party of big wigs in the front room took all the service staffs attention. Then we were ignored and waited 45 minutes for the dessert and the check. Go for the chef be patient for the service. I would be VERY concerned about the service during a crowded night ro the above mentioned private occasion party. Nice view out the large picture Windows except for the twin propane tanks that should be addressed by the owners. At least a nice fence with evergreen shrubery would go a long way to increase patrons dinning experience.
Only visited for a quick light bite, hot antipasto for me and some grilled veggies for my wife, both perfectly prepared and made me want to come back soon to sample more of their menu. Situated in a beautifully kept house built in 1864. Looking forward to our next visit!
Not bad, will need to revisit, food was great except for one thing. The main course had an issue with the scallops, I alerted our server and they did the right thing plus made a good gesture in light of the problem.
Food was solid, service was acceptable. I had mussels and With White wine and garlic as an appetizer, portion was fine, flavor was okay. Halibut for dinner was very good, flavorful and cooked well. Service was a bit slow which was disappointing given the restaurant was less than half full.
Very impressive martini selection - got the special lamp chops dinner which was delicious but didn't have my dessert option on the menu available . The horse painting was unique, and a little odd on the left side .
Delicious restaurant with a lot of great food options, just a bit pricey for the portion sizes you get. For $26 getting Penne Vodka (gluten free spaghetti replacement no charge), I would hope I would at least get either more or a bit of grilled chicken added. Other restaurants in the area range around $20-$23 for this dish at much bigger portions. It seems like they're known for set dishes, all of which the rest of my party seemed to enjoy. The cakes were all delicious, especially the red velvet cake. It's definitely a great atmosphere to bring for a special occasion, and their private party room downstairs is gorgeous. The bar is really awesome too, very authentic and tied into the rest of the old house.
Service was excellent, the food was average but overpricedand. If your going to charge more than you have to deliver on flavor, me and 3 others didn’t think so The waiter was very pleasant and courteous.
Food was average at best nothing inspiring to report. Restaurant is very out dated . Doors to the men's and ladies rooms don't lock. There was a large crowd so some people must like it the 3 couples I was with will not be going back . The highlight was the waiter
The service is impeccable, and it's a nice place. My friend and I both had very basic pasta dishes. I was expecting more creativity and flavor for such a highly rated restaurant.
We heard good things about Primavera and went there. We ordered a drink from the cocktail menu- they ran out of cucumber vodka, we ordered a second round of bread- they ran out of bread, we ordered beet salad- they ran out of pears... The main courses were ok. The staff was friendly and they did feel bad and gave us after-dinner drinks and two deserts on the house. Before we go next time we’ll call to make sure they did not run out of food... They do deserve another chance.
2nd time here and ordered Chicken Francais and it barely had any sauce and the sauce was bland, no lemon flavor at all. My boyfriend had the lobster pasta special and said it was awesome. We had an after dinner drink at the bar and our martinis were delicious and the bar tender was very attentive.
Nice ambiance. Food was top notch. Serving of ravioli was a tad on the scarce side. The mussel appetizer was abundant and delicious. Desserts were very good. Three star rating for lack of service. We were waiting for our sixth guest to arrive and we were never offered cocktails or menus to peruse. Halfway throughy mussel appetizer, the waiter decided to finally give me a bowl for shells. Almost seemed like they were understaffed. Great food, hit and miss on portions and rather poor service. Hence, three stars.
I'm afraid tonight was not a great experience for us. Perhaps the restaurant was extra crowded but the service was as slow as I've ever seen it. My wife, sister and I took my mom out for a belated 90th birthday celebration and it felt like she was 91 by the time we left. Tough for mom as it's hard for her to sit in one place for a long period of time. We were 10 minutes late for our 6:30 reservation but didn't see our entrees for at least an hour. My appetizer and mom's entree came out luke warm and were clearly sitting in the kitchen for awhile chilling. Other than that, the meal was good despite the slowness of service. The staff was friendly but gave no explanation for the delay. We've been to Primavera before and have generally had good experiences so I hope this was just an anomaly. Very few good white table cloth restaurants in the area so hope this isn't the new norm.
I’m sorta shocked at how terrible the service was. We ordered a very expensive priced dessert, yeah it was not done correctly, instead of watching him make it for us, it was dropped off on our table and served to us as absolute melted ice cream and fruit mush. No one came up to ask us how was the meal. The place needs to fix the ceilings, mold dust next to the vents in the dining room and the water damage is pretty visible. Disappointed on a dinner out. I expected so much better than this. Especially it being such a beautiful location.
It's been a year or so since I had dinner here, unfortunately I'm a bit disappointed how things have evolved. Service still great, but the food not anything "over the top". Mozzarella appetizer, Chicken franchise, and spinach ravioli in vodka sauce were all "average". Biggest compliment: priced like a Manhattan fine-Italian restaurant. I can justify this at Racci, but $42 for five ravioli? Simply overpriced.
Walking up to the restaurant, it is definitely beautiful and the smells were very very appetizing. We sat at the bar, where we were told the kitchen would be closing soon (between lunch and dinner), and they’d rather us not order anything. We’ve been traveling and we’re hungry, and asked if we could order a simple appetizer. The bartender said that was fine. We were promptly served some bread which was very good. The calamari came out fast (I’m sure they were in a rush), it smelled quite good. I really hate to say it but it was the worst calamari I’ve ever been served. It was so rubbery we couldn’t even chew it. I had to spit it out. The marinara it came with was a little spicy and absolutely delicious so I dipped my bread in it. The bartender ignored the totally uneaten plate of calamari. It made us feel like we were totally an inconvenience. I did show him how stretchy and rubbery the calamari was before he came back with the check, no apologies but he did take it off the bill. The beer and wine were nicely chilled and the glassware was sparkling. The bar and restaurant were very pretty and the bathroom was squeaky clean. The outside was nice and tidy, and there was plenty of parking. My main issue is that if the kitchen is open until 3, and we place an order before 3, then why serve us crap? Just say the kitchen closes at 2:30. It seemed almost retaliatory.
Appetizer expensive. Shrimp obviously frozen not fresh. Friend sent back, though was bad. Staff turned off lights on porch where we were sitting to "cue" us to leave instead of just asking us. Rude. Had high hopes because atmosphere was so nice. Disappointing.
Not one of the appetizers or entrees was exceptional, only the beet salad I would give 3 stars. The crab cakes were.below average and frozen ones that you can buy anywhere would be equal, and the mozzarella en carozza was like grilled cheese!- very underwhelming! There were 4 of us for dinner for my daughters birthday this evening. My son’s fillet mignonette was sliced in half and very small. We could make better on our grill. Two of us had the fusilli siciliano. The pasta was not fresh and the sauce tasted like jarred sauce from the grocery store, we barely had any eggplant or mozzarella in the dish. Another big disappointment! The other person ordered a chicken dish, with artichokes and asparagus. This was also very below average and had bland flavors. We won’t be going back to what was rated as a 4 and 1/2 star restaurant!. It was overpriced and very disappointing. Will not be recommending Primavera to anyone! As I said earlier maybe it’s worth 2 stars and not worth the price! We did not stay for dessert,’.
First time patron with party of 11 and none of us won’t be going back. Drove 35 minutes. Overpriced for the quality and taste. States Zagat rated, didn’t get that. They can do better. Chicken over cooked in 4 of 5 orders.
This place used to be great, but last night will be my last visit. I have been going to this location for 40 years, and it was always an upscale experience, and I expected a similar experience for my 39th wedding anniversary. The ambiance was the same as always, but the food and wine, I could get better at my local pizzeria restaurant. I ordered grilled calamari, and yes they were calamari, frozen rings that were not grilled and very rubbery, my paglia and fiero pasta was gooey and stuck together with rubbery shrimp and the wine was nothing to write home about. It seems that they want a different clientele, one who wants quantity instead of quality.
We’ve heard so many good things, and left so disappointed we won’t be back. Had reservation..showed up on time; table wasn’t ready…went to the bar. Bartender nice and attentive…so that was nice. Waited over 25 minutes and was finally ushered by a bus boy to our table and hands us mmaenus. room was about 1/2 full. Waiter came over, dropped anti-pasta and bread.not a hello, how is your evening, can I get you another cocktail…just, “do you know what you want”. We did..we ordered. App- calamari…dipping sauce really yum. The calamari was literally the same frozen bag you pick up at the store and not even fried until crispy . Yuck Dinner- Husband had veal- his was tasty I had chippino (so?)…basically a seafood pasta dish. The sauce had no flavor, the seafood was chewy. Ughhh so disappointing. The waiter never came to check on us or again ask if we wanted anything and we saw him just standing by the kitchen talking with somebody. Bussers cleared table then waiter finally comes over with dessert menu…again most asking how anything was or how we were doing; so we just ask for check, paid and left. What a disappointment from the food to the staff mehhhh I can get just as good from my local pizza place pay 1/2 and have better service. We will not go back
Such a beautiful restaurant, and that’s where it ends. To start with the service was lousy. A. Because they were understaffed and B. Because our waiter was in over his head. For appetizers, my wife and I ordered gnocchi and coconut shrimp. The shrimp was actually pretty good, but the gnocchi? Awful! It was more like Tater tot’s. For my entree I ordered what was suppose to be a dry age shell steak. It was tough and very bland. So much so that I left 2/3 of my steak on the plate because it wasn’t Edible. The waiter Never asked us if we wanted to refill or drinks, and When we managed to catch his attention, he was very late in bringing our drink orders. Getting him to bring cheese to the table was like pulling teeth. When The waiter asked me to wrap if I wanted to wrap it up, I explained to him that I was not happy with my steak. And made made no effort to have what I would describe as a pice of Kangaroo meat the check. The only thing positive was the prompt Valet service, who had more personality, and personality, which moved this restaurant from one star I had in mind to two stars. Very disappointed to say the least, because this use to be a place for a fun dining experience.
Impromptu anniversary dinner with my wife. Wasn’t a bad experience per se, but the food for both dishes was very bland. Weird sides for an Italian restaurant. Service was below standards, and half their beer menu was out of stock at 6pm on a Saturday. We didn’t see the waitress from the time we ordered until we left. Nobody asked how it was. Didn’t get offered Parmesan or black pepper for my pasta dish. Speaking of which, it was made with shrimp and lobster. There was none in it. Maybe it was pureed, idk. But the dish had no flavor. My wife ordered the chicken Parmesan. It came with potatoes and vegetables instead of a pasta which was weird. It also has surprisingly little flavor. Jarred Rao’s and Italian seasoned bread crumbs from Stop & Shop taste better. We didn’t complain about anything or really dislike anything. I just expected way better from a place with $$$$ for pricing in that area. A random Joey’s Pizza in anytown USA has a better chef.
We sat in a nearly empty restaurant only to wait 25 minutes for a waiter to come over (only because we were finally able to flag him down and call him over). It was a pricey date night where the food and service didn’t warrant the price we paid. So disappointed. We were so excited to get out an enjoy and it was a miss.
Disappointing and overpriced. It has 4.4 stars but most of the better reviews are older. Calamari appetizer was rubbery and fishy tasting. Escargot appetizer was okay. Broccoli rabe and cavatelli entree was okay. I sent back the lobster and linguini entree. Lobster and shrimp were tough and overcooked. Mussels were served out of the shell and were pasty. Replaced it with a caesar salad that was surprisingly good. Pinot grigio was $12 for a glass and tasted like box wine. Service was attentive. Tipped on service not food quality. Won't be going back.
We decided to go to the restaurant for New Years Eve, the food was less than we expected. Some entrees came cold & sent back. Everything was just thrown on the dish. Apparently the they were overwhelmed with the number of guests, but that’s no excuse. I had the chicken Scarparello, it was the worst I’ve ever tasted. Portion was small and had just one tiny round of sausage it was overpriced. I hope that their normal dining is a step above this meal.
Went here with a group of 10 for Christmas Eve dinner. There was plenty of friendly staff however the meals that we received were all room temperature/ boarder-line cold. When bringing this to wait staffs attention, there was no apology or remediation. They were busy this night, however there were plenty of wait staff on deck. Overall, the price is extremely high for the quality of service that they provided.
What a let down. We were there for a holiday dinner party. Wait staff must have been brand new. Waiter took forever to take drink orders and would only take 1 or 2 orders at a time. The bar was not to far from our table yet the waiter could only carry 2 drinks at a time and still spilled them. By the time the last people got their drinks, the other end of the table was ready for another round. We sat there for at least 30 minutes without a menu. When we finally got the menu half the table got lunch menus which was another wait to get them swapped out. We then had our menus for another 30 to 40 minutes before anyone came to take our order. 20 minutes of that time our menus were down and we were still waiting for drinks. The waiter forgot one person's soup completely and brought appetizers out with salads. When the forgotten soup was mentioned to the waiter, it was blamed on the kitchen but yet no soup ever appeared. They were out of a few items but the waiter never mentioned these things before we ordered and even after dessert was ordered, the waiter had to come back to say he was out of an item. The waiter apologized and again blamed the kitchen saying they had too many parties that night and it was very busy. The food was OK at best. The food was better than the waiters but not by much. They gave out the wrong filet mignons to everyone or they just cooked them all the same temperature and didn't care. Everything took too long. They were obviously not prepared or trained for a typical holiday Friday night. On top of it all they added gratuity automatically to the bill at 20%. Way more than they deserved. Sorry we tried this place. We are embarrassed we took our employees there.
Very poor service. We were not given menus when seated and had to request them. Wait staff did not check on us throughout the evening or even give eye contact while standing to side. We had no idea who our waiter really was. Once our meal came they didn't come over once to see how the meal was or if they could get us anything else. We had to ask for sugar with our coffee. Disappointing and not worth the cost. Valet was the best service of the evening.
We were totally disappointed here. Once we sat we weren’t even looked at. We waited a LONG time for us to get a drink which we had to flag someone down for. Meanwhile we saw people coming in with management escort and they were waiting on them hand and foot immediately. So we choose favorites at this restaurant? Unacceptable. The entire night we had to flag someone down. It was ridiculous. Additionally both our filet mignons were not cooked medium rare as we asked - they were well done and chewy. It was horrible. They should be ashamed of themselves with their service. It was completely evident who they wanted to attend to. Absurd.
Good food but horrible service. The service was incredibly tense and lackadaisical. No one cared to make the experience pleasant. They also don't have a wine list so it's impossible to properly order wine by the glass. The wine list on their website "is out of date" so you can't even go by that. It honestly felt like they wanted us to leave, perhaps because we had our small child with us. Pass on Primavera.
The food looks like a 5 year old made my beet salad . Also tuna tartar with sweet !! No way
Awful experience tonight. Ruined my anniversary going to this dump. Amateur service, fish was frozen and obviously microwaved and owner was rude. And did I say it was overpriced?
Went for Hudson Valley Restaurant week 2018. Service was poor. Had to get the manager to intervene. I ordered filet Mignon cooked Medium. I received what was like a piece of pot roast - very well done, soft and mushy in gravy. Had to reorder!
I have to say I’m a bit confused. I’ll begin with where it started. I ordered the grilled calamari starter and the lamb rib main. My cocktail was never delivered. I had to walk to the bar to get it 20 minutes after ordering it (and yet I was still charged). The grilled calamari starter was tired, served with wilted greens, and had the consistency of shoe leather. I’m confused because the main dish of lamb rib roast was excellent. It was perfectly prepared and everything accompanying it was outstanding. Why would a chef who clearly took pride in creating one dish believe it was ok to serve something else that was just awful? My $15 glass of cabernet tasted like it came from a $6 bottle. The sorbet dessert was decent. All in all, just confused.
The food was good but not the service. We waited about 10mins or so for a menu while other people got there’s right away. I really dislike how they come over to refilled the water while the cups were too close to our face’s. We didn’t ask to refilled the water but at least say excuse or something. The pictures here shows a well lit restaurant. It’s not, it was way too dark for my liking.
Went their last nite with a party of 10. Service was horrendous . We waitied hour to get bread on the table. When they finally put it down with this tiny little dish of olive cheese . It was four like 4 people not 10. Understand it’s just a nosh before appetizers but even short on the bread. They took out cocktail order never cane back. We went to manager. He just listened nothing good happened after that. Dinner finally came. Then tried to order coffees and cordials and dessert. Some desserts came out. Coffees never showed up. We had to cancel them. Expresso Martinis tasted like burnt coffee. Manager came back over only to apologize totally not sincere. Terrible service and very disappointing.
Food was OK, well presented but nothing special. Six of us had lunch on a Friday in Oct to celebrate a friend's b'day. The atmosphere was OK too, except 2 persistent flies. Their website and the sign by the front door advertised the price-fixed lunch menu for parties under 8. Yet, they gave us the regular menu and when someone asked about the special they said it only applied to parties under 4. Establishments can charge whatever they want and set own limits, but I don't appreciate deception. We still spent $40-50 a person but we're not going back.
Made reservations for 8pm for me and my husbands birthday in which we both share the same birthday. Unfortunately things happened and we was running late. I kindly called to tell them I was going to be 30 mins late if I can change fore 8:30pm because initially they said they closed at 10pm! The guy who repónded super rude said “ no ma’-am you spoke to me this morning and I said 9pm!” Such a lie he said 10pm! That’s why I made a 7:30-8pm reservations! So unfortunate for this to happen to us on our birthday!!! 🤦🏻♀️
Quite possibly the worst dining experience ever. We made reservation on Super Bowl Sunday. Offered to sit in restaurant or bar. We chose bar. Ordered drinks and appetizers to start. Also were told there was a buffet in dining room but we opted for menu. Drinks were good. Server was attentive. Appetizer (calamari) was unseasoned and chewy. Husband got order of oysters which were good. We ordered entrees, him the rigatoni and I the petite filet, cooked medium. Entrees served but filet was seared on outside but jelly in middle. I requested it re-fired to medium. It was returned with more sauce still rare in middle. My husband had finished his entree and we had to flag down a server as ours had not been seen in a long time. Requested re-grill of the filet. I had only cut it in half to check level of doneness. I was then served a chopped up and burned piece of meat covered in sauce. Vile. Inedible. Disgusting. I was shocked and horrified at what left the kitchen was served to a patron. Was this a joke??? Literally dropped off and no server ever appeared again. We sat for at least 20 minutes, no follow up, no check in. Silence. I ultimately went to restroom upon my looking around I found all the wait staff in the empty dining room. I requested our check. Had to ask for the steak removed from bill as I did not eat it; left a 20% tip because we aren’t a-holes and servers rely on tips. Left hungry. Literally came home and made toast. Will never recommend and will never return.
Very disappointed!! My mom bought a $100 gift certificate for my daughter for a Christmas gift. She was looking forward to going. Unfortunately she lost her wallet which not only had all of her credit cards, license etc but also all of her gift cards. I explained the circumstances to the owner and he would not replace it even after I showed my mom's credit card statement. He insisted on the little register receipt, which she didn't see a reason to save. He could have easily looked at his records and made good on it. This is terrible and business with no courtesy or understanding! It is highly highly unlikely that this cert will not be redeemed. The owner has $100 in hand in return for nothing. Goodwill would have been appreciated. Really crappy on is part. Now none of my family will ever go there. I was also planning a party and would not consider them. Shame on him for $100!
What a disappointment. Not sure if new owners but horrible experience. We spent over $900 and the food was served so cold. The waiters were not good with their English and spilt on me while cleaning the table. Worst of all the tip is already included on the bill. Save your $$$ and go elsewhere.
This was my second visit and I was hoping I could be a regular as it is on the way home and my first visit was fine. Unfortunately, I won’t return. The service is friendly, yet I was forgotten about even though I sat in the bar in front of 4 servers. How can it take 45 minutes to prepare a standard/staple pasta dish? When a server finally asked if I wanted anything else (I had had a small salad), I asked if my pasta order was forgotten. Although he apologized, there was no accomodation on the bill - no comp of the entree, glass of wine or salad. I would not be writing this review if they had made one small gesture of apology and comped the glass of wine. But nothing. And - the pasta, cavatelli with broccoli rabe and sausage, was nearly tasteless swimming in a bath of pasta water with multiple practically uncooked thick slices of garlic cloves. With tip it was a $70 lunch for a salad, glass of wine, standard pasta dish - never again.
