This place is Dansville’s little gem! I live near Victor, NY and my daughters live south of Dansville so we were looking for a place to meet half way between us to celebrate a birthday. We googled restaurants in Dansville and found Scovill’s! It’s beautiful, friendly, personable staff, and absolutely delicious food! I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely make this our go to place! Thank you Scoville staff!

Just what we were looking for on a Friday night. The outdoor seating was pleasant and the food was great. Sweet potato fries in the Pittsburgh salad is a great idea!

The food was absolutely one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had! I had the Ahi Tuna and my husband had the Steak. The server was very friendly and efficient!

Stopped by this place today for a quick meeting. Waitress was very friendly, service was perfect and food was delicious! I had the burger, best burger I have had in awhile! The other 2 in my party also raved about the place. I highly recommend and will certainly visit again soon.

We went there July 17th at about 715pm. The waitress was terrific, the cook absolutely nailed every order, and the bar tender was very friendly and attractive. Salmon was perfect, the sirloin was cooked to perfection also, both chicken and steak quesidillas were on point, the wings looked amazing, the chicken parm was very delicious, and even the cheeseburger my son ordered from the kids menu looked delicious! I had to tip the cook...

We celebrated my husbands 90th birthday, at Scovill’s We had a great meal and service our server was Kaya , had the salmon dinner, and chicken parm .did an awesome job. Thank you.

What a wonderful lunch my boyfriend and I had here! He ordered the reuben and onion petals, and I had the venison burger with the sweet fries (sweet potato fries). We shared an appetizer of crab cake waffle. Everything was incredibly delicious; the sweet potato fries were hands down the best ones I've ever had! Excellent service and a lovely dining room topped this off. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone travelling through the Dansville area.

We were crossing the state on I-390, and needed a rest stop/lunch break, but options seemed scarce. At the last moment, my spouse found Scovill’s just as we got to Exit 4. We almost passed it, the entrance didn’t seem obvious, and we weren’t sure they were open (~11:30a on a Saturday) But…rounding the corner of the building, a couple of doors stood open and Ally B greeted and welcomed us. Clean (including bathrooms) and very nice setting overall. Food was delicious and fairly priced. We each got a wrap, one with fries and one with tots. Everything fresh and quick. Beer selection was good and also fairly priced. It wasn’t very busy at that hour. We didn’t feel rushed and, if we weren’t in the middle of a road trip, probably would have stayed longer. Would never have known they were there from the highway (very easy on/off location), but Scovill’s is the most memorable thing about our brief stop in Dansville.

Came here on a Thursday night for dinner with my parents. The beers on draft were fantastic! I ordered the special which was the Lobster Mac ‘N Cheese. It was HUGE but more importantly DELICIOUS!!! Our meals came with salads that were fresh with great dressing options. My mom’s chicken pot pie was homemade and her red skin mashed potatoes were so good they didn’t need gravy or any butter. My dad got a Reuben and he was happy with it. The service was fast and our Bar tender was phenomenal. Can’t wait to come back!

Compelled to write a review. I've personally never been, but have heard a lot of good things. Decided to go here last minute for a quick celebration dinner. Very impressed with everything we got. I normally don't opt for the pork chop, but the buffalo stuffed pork chop just sounded amazing, and it was. The Scoville's chicken and the prime rib also didn't disappoint. Turned new customers into returning customers last night!

We were on a girls weekend trip and saw this restaurant on our way, decided to stop. It was a bit of a wait as they were busy (no big deal). Food was delicious. I do NOT like fish fry’s but I tried a bite of my friends fish and it was really good! The other two got the French chicken pasta dish and they loved it. I got the chicken ceaser wrap. Good portion sizes, French fries had a salty vinegar taste, loved it! Everyone says “good choice!!” Would stop again if in the area!

We had a dinner for family and friends traveling from out of town before our wedding. The space fit all 25 of us. The only down side was that the room echoed and it was hard to hear when 6 or 7 conversations were going on. Overall, food and service was awesome and staff was very accommodating! Called ahead and reserved a table, they were perfectly accommodating with the fact that we were driving in and arrival might have been a few minutes off. Table was ready and waitress was fantastic and worked with our 2 autistic kidos to get orders correct. Food was fantastic and very filling. Hard to find restaurant on left side of medical building. However, if you golf, it is actually the course restaurant overlooking the course. I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. My daughter loved the dry rub wings, and I got the fantastic mini fish fry (we were here for lunch). The server was very nice and very friendly. This is just a stone's throw from Stony Brook State Park, so keep that in mind. Yhe restaurant is immaculate and has some outdoor seating. Really nice place.

Scovill’s Grill never disappoints. They do a great job with their menu. I had the BQQ brisket sandwich and ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture. It was that good. WOW! Get the chips with buffalo chicken for an appetizer it is so good.

It's pretty surprising. I thought we were at a doctors office or nursing home because the sinage is hard to see in the dark. The restaurant has a nice patio and a nice dining room and bar area. The menu was original. The prices are good. The food was excellent. It didn't feel or taste like cheap, low quality food with fillers. I had panko shrimp. The veggies were crunchy and firm in my stir fry. The shrimp were big and plump. The wife had tuna nachos, and she really enjoyed them. The fish was fresh and flavorful. Our daughter had boneless chicken wings and tater tots. I had a tot, and it was crispy but not overcooked. The chicken had a nice batter on it and she really enjoyed them. The men's bathroom was clean and well kept. Looks like the TP dispenser broke off the wall recently. But everything else looked nice. The dining room was clean, and everything was well kept. The tables were nice and generally everything was very clean. It was a little dark to read the menu, but maybe that's my old eyes. The waitress was attentive and explained the menu and specials. She came back to check on us a few times. I saddly forgot to get pics of the food. It's definitely a must try if you're in Dansville.

Food and service was amazing! It was on our way back from Letchworth State Park and looked like a decent place. It’s right by the golf course. I got a turkey wrap with onion soup, was tired of fat “american food” - and this was the right choice!

Scovill’s Grill was an absolutely amazing fine dining experience. My husband and I chose this restaurant based on google reviews with no idea of what to expect! We came here to celebrate our first meal together as husband and wife after getting married at Letchworth State Park! One of the co-owners, Phil, even came over to congratulate us with a complementary bottle of wine! Our server, Taylor, was so sweet and took such good care of us and even other staff came over to congratulate us and offer recommendations of great local places to explore while we were in the area. The food at Scovill’s was beyond compare, the wait staff was exceptional, ambiance was perfect, and we will definitely be coming back! It may even be where we go to celebrate our anniversary. Needless to say, we were overwhelmingly blessed by the entire experience and cannot say enough good things about the restaurant and the people there. We highly recommend them for a celebratory dinner or even just a night out. It was perfect!

It's a beautiful setting. If the weather's nice you can sit outside along the golf course. The food is good and there are lots of choices.

We decoded to stop at Scovills after a morning enjoying StoneyBrook parks trails. This outdoor restaurant skirted a golfcourse and provided the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a hot lunch on a surprisingly cool summer day. We picked up some lighter items to try the variety more then a full meal and were pleasantly met with great food. The chicken wings were meaty, juicy and full of flavor while the pretzel and beer cheese were hot, salty and robust. The beer cheese was full of flavor and the chili-mustard was a nice counter flavor to the aforementioned cheese. Lastly, and my go to, the French onion soup was delicious. The flavor seemed to include a bit more hints at Italian seasonings than I prefer but the taste was delicious none the less. The cheese was melted to perfection and included that beautiful crispy browning where it bubbled in the oven. The soup was creamy, not oily which can often happen with cheaper ingredients or recipes) and full of tender onion slices. The breading, which I find to be more the case when traveling up north, was made of croutons or smaller pieces of toated bread, not a full slice or round. I'm not the largest fan of this method but it doesn't really impact the flavor but more so the texture or consistency so much. Regardless, this restaurant hit the spot and the staff was very friendly and the service was fast. We would certainly come here again and try more items off their menu. I'd suggest stopping by if in the area and enjoying a nice meal!

This place has beautiful decor, great staff, and amazing food at a very affordable rate! Only 2 issues, the breading on my chicken french was really soggy but still delicious, and they need better advertising and a big sign cuz I only stumbled across this place on Google maps when my Dr office is right next door! Highly recommend this place!

Excellent service and the food was great. However the tirimisu (spelling?) was terrible. I was expecting creamy sweetness and got sour thick stuff. They must have tried to use cream cheese instead of marscapone. It is no where near the same. Very disappointed! I might add that I had dessert to go otherwise I'd have sent it back.

I am rating this a 4. I want to make constructive criticism. Love coming to your establishment; however I must tell you my soup was cold and my fish was overcooked. I would come back and I would order the same again. Just letting you know so this might be corrected.

Good food, Good wine and cocktail selection. Only a few beers on tap but plenty of bottles. Favorite sandwich no longer on the menu, Turkey, Gouda on pretzel bun.

The food wasn't bad, but also not something I'd go out of my way to get again. The sausage in the stuffed mushrooms had too much caraway spice, to the point that after a few bites it was overpowering. The Jack Daniels burger was good, but could use a bit more of the sauce. The fries were also good, but the cheap catsup they use kind of ruined them for me. The service was good and everyone was friendly.

We stopped here for dinner on the way back home. Although the food was great nothing was noted on line that there was a limited menu on Sunday. That probably would have changed our decision. We were seated in a dining room that wasn't open yet and was dark. Our waitress/bartender was sweet and very efficient.

Had a really good meal with my wife here. The food was flavorful and came out reasonably quickly. The service was friendly and attentive. Also, our waitress recommended the turkey burger after my wife asked if it was good. She said it was well seasoned and the toppings make it excellent. She was spot on! Thought the menu sucked for a New Years eve dinner. The bread was brought out on a checkered paper in a plastic basket felt like I was at a drive through. The bread was cold and not fresh baked.Had our hearts set on a filet mignon and maybe some lobster. And what was up with the fried carrots? They were so tuff you couldn't eat them.The eight of us Won't be back next year.

They messed up my mom's order twice. I got fried calamari and it was very good though.

This place has a lot of potential to be...idk...more, I guess. Located at Brae Burn golf course club house and has a beautiful atmosphere (tip: use the bathroom by the pro shop, not the one off the bar - it's much nicer!), great service, but the food...the most important factor in a great restaurant... is sadly just... MEH. I wanted to love it... I really did...but even excusing the very lacking menu descriptions that left key ingredients out--in some cases to their own detriment as the ingredients left off the menu were key to making it sound like an appealing dish-- and described "crispy" calamari that was anything but, as it was drowned under soggy diced tomatoes and floating in garlic wine sauce (we gave that a pass because the sauce was delicious, the whole thing dumped over a bed of pasta would have been a tastier dish than our actual entrees). Beautiful and quite tasty honey sriracha salmon, cooked almost perfectly, served with grilled asparagus and then a pile of white rice?!! Who does that? It looked like someone took the Chinese takeout rice container and dumped it on the plate. Maybe a little pilaf? Mix it up with a little ancient grain in there? ANYTHING but an ugly pile of white rice. The ahi tuna nachos won the prize for taste and presentation. It was close to perfect. Unfortunately some of us prefer not to eat raw fish, so there's that... My dish, the Chicken Milanese was OK at best. The chicken was a tad overcooked, the greens were ridiculous...just so much...and I pulled out a good handful of very yellow to slimy green and rotten leaves. The lemon vinagrette was really boring...in fact the whole dish was pretty boring. Desserts were good (cheesecake, peanut butter pie and berry créme brulee), but the hit of the night was the coconut lime margaritas. Those were danged good! I would go back for the bar and maybe some handhelds, but I wouldn't recommend for a fine meal for a special occasion.

Saturday Prime Rib special runs out by 5:30pm. How? Seriously who does that? Scovill’s does. Very disappointing

I went with two other friends, all of us are young adults. Food was delicious, but service was bad. Worst service I have ever had, waitress treated us as a nuisance even though we were respectful and nice. Everyone else there was nice. Never again.

Reservations made. Not told they only were serving buffet. No ham only fried chicken. Overpriced for what they had. Not recommend. No dessert offered. Very disappointed. Fire alarm was pulled and went off for over an hour. Very annoying since everyone was trying to enjoy their poor meal. 😒

I’ve been here 3 times with in the last 10 months and each time I’ve come it’s been the same thing. The service is turtle slow when it comes to getting your meal served in a timely manner. We waited over a hour for a Chicken Cesar Wrap / French Fries and A Buffalo Chicken Wrap . It was not a busy evening so I really don’t know why it took so long . I also had to go up to the bar to get myself a beer . I’m not sure I will be coming back again nor do I know if I would recommend eating here if someone asked me where to eat in Dansville the one nice thing was sitting outside enjoying the fresh air

I have been there multiple times and it appears that the kitchen does not understand how to fill orders. Our order is taken and then we wait 1 hour and 10 minutes and then we get our appetizers and 4 minutes later our main's appear. I watched a few other tables and the exact same thing was happening to them, appetizers and then 4-5 minutes the mains would arrive after waiting 1 hour plus for any food at all. I would not reccommend this to anyone. The kitchen appears to be only able to work on one ticket at a time and has no understanding of timing between dishes.

My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday for my birthday around 5pm! Not busy. I ordered chicken Parmesan and a salad and my husband had a hamburger and fries! My Chicken parm came out first and I had to asked for my salad which is supposed to come out first! The waitress never came over to asked how things were! She was to busy walking around chatting with others and looking on their phones! I would have liked some Parmesan cheese for with my meal! 😩 Food was great but the service could have been better

We often have their Friday night fish fry. Tonight it was awful. Instead of nice flakey haddock, it was thin and wide. I suspect it was Tilapia. If they plan to continue to charge the full shot for a cheap imitation, we will go elsewhere.

Definitely was not organized or prepared to restart the business. Wait staff was trying their best but was not well trained (not their fault - the person(s) responsible should work on that). No visible bartender to keep up with the crowd. No drink menu's etc etc..

I had a party of three and we were told that there was no room. No you could wait a half hour or hour, they just told us that their was no room and they had three tables opened. We'll that's fine I'll just take my business somewhere else. It's vary sad that places like this is just getting worse,the food, the princess and the service has just gone down hill. I guess they have all the business that they need.

i had to call scovills 3 times just to get an answer and when a lady finally answered the phone she was nothing but rude to me and told me that i couldn’t order anything until 8:30 which is weird bc that’s never happened before. she also proceeded to give me rude comments throughout our phone call that were very unnecessary. if i could rate 0 stars i would 😭. i didn’t even get to order

I came here right before 4 and they said they can't serve me anything other than fried foods which I was okay with, so when I asked about if I can get a burger because I saw several people eating some they said no. They also did not mention what time they serve food when I called in advance. The hostess was rude and there was plenty of seats inside and they sat us outside and said we can not eat indoors.

Ordered boneless wings for my son and they came out raw in the center. No apology or anything for serving us raw chicken.

One or two tables occupied inside. Obviously some event outside under a tent. Ask for a beer with order. Waitress brought beer immediately. Got warmer and warmer. Been sitting, waiting over an hour for food. No excuse. We also ordered an appetizer that hasn't come.

My husband and I used to go to scovilles on a regular basis. We loved it. Good drinks, good food, good atmosphere. I would have always given 5 stars. But for the last year time and time again we have only been left with disappointment. Bad service, bad food and way to expensive. Servers on their phone when I have an empty glass, food is not great. After today I will no longer be going there again. Ordered my food at 12:45 for pick up. The lady said 25 mins. My husband went to pick it up.. the food was not done until 1:30. Right before the food came out we ordered dessert to go. My food sat at the bar in containers for the next 40 mins while the dessert was being boxed up. When my food made it home everything was freezing cold. This is absolutely ridiculous! Terribly service.

We went there for lunch with our 2 young children. After our water was given to us we waited 25 min for my kids grilled cheese to be brought out. We were told our entrees were coming right out and 10 min later we still didn't have our food. There was only 1 other table with people and the rest of the place was empty. No one came out to ask if we needed a drink refill or maybe some bread or chips to hold us over since our food was taking so long. When I brought up about the food taking a long time and the waitress being unavailable all I got was "ok" with an attitude. No apology or explanation. She said "apologize for what??". So rude and unprofessional. My husband and I didn't eat and we canceled our order and took the kids food to go. We wasted 35 min and left hungry.

Our family has been patronizing this establishment for years. My mom has organized huge fundraising events there to build a school in Gitare Kenya. Many of my parents friend groups eat dinner regularly. The establishment has recently changed ownership. The new owner kicked my entire family out of the establishment, my parents, my 18 year old son, and even my husband who was not in attendance due to a personal prejudice against us. While the food may be nice, I would suggest that you think very carefully before dining. What the owner did to our family in public is reprehensible. I do believe it is even against the law.

This is the last time. The last owners were clueless and the new owners haven’t set their staff up for success any better. We waited more than 10 minutes for a drink menu, got the wrong drinks (the K2 IPA is 4 months old for the record), our meals took more than 45 minutes to come out and they were cold.
