Esin Restaurant and Bar

The food here is amazing! We came here for my birthday dinner. We all got great dishes: my pork chop was tender and juicy, the crab cakes were excellent as was the flaky filo Mary's chicken. The desserts were good, not as great as the main courses in my opinion but my friends liked them. We got the bread pudding and the black bottom white chocolate banana cream tart.

It was good!! I had the risotto and the coconut tart. Not a TON of gf dinner options, but a fair enough variety with many that are also vegan/vegetarian. Lots of gf dessert options. The servers and atmosphere were nice. Servers knowledgeable about celiac. In terms of service, wow, I’ve never felt so served in my life. We were frequently checked up on, given fresh water, asked if we needed anything. The servers were all friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

I've done 2 birthday dinners and one father's day brunch here. And they all were wonderful experiences. From the delicious baked oyster starter to the indulgent chocolate banana cream tort, everything was great. Favorites this time around were the filo wrapped chicken breast with 3 cheeses and the Spanish octopus. Service was exceptional. Make sure to save room for dessert.

THIS place!! Wow- the food and service were top notch. Let me begin by - I am a picky person- a big foodie. I also travel for work almost weekly and this place will hold a special memory for me. The scallops were incredible- not overly doused in a sauce or butter - but so flavorful. The wine was perfect, the dessert is a MUST. The waiter was attentive and fast… I was so impressed. After a long day of work travel, this was a treat- thank you!

Well hidden place far from where most of Danville best restaurants are so we didn’t even know it existed. Food is great though everything was very delicious and upscale and very reasonably priced. Service is fantastic as well. The interior is a bit generic.. it’s ok just nothing special. Overall definitely a bit of a hidden gem. Also great gluten free options and even gluten free beer on the menu which is pretty rare around here

The service and food were excellent as it always is. Baked oysters were spectacular and the pork chop was thick and juicy. We also had the wagu burger the steak and Phyllo wrapped chicken. All very good and full of flavor. And the desserts always rock the house.

This place never disappoints. They have maintained their quality over the years and it is always so much fun coming here. The highlights for me are all the scrumptious desserts!!! 8-15-2023 - Dinner - Table for 8

We had a special dinner last night to celebrate a new child. Great service by Tori, amazing meals, dessert was perfect! Very classy place with excellent meals.

Came here for our anniversary dinner. Even though our reservation was at 5:30 pm, the restaurant was already quite busy. The service and food was excellent. We had the burrata, beet salad, shrimp and scallops rissoto, Mary's 1/2 chicken, and burger. They were all delicious.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere! We had the Hanger Steak (aka Steak Frites), Wagyu Hamburger, and a Rock Cod with risotto special! All were delicious, though one of us suggests getting the hamburger something other than medium well 😥. We also shared a delicious Lemon Meringue tart for dessert.

We are fortunate to have this restaurant in our little town. Esin and Curtis are truly passionate about the food and serving their community high quality food. Love the food and we feel like family when we are there.

At first glance it's not a particularly welcoming restaurant. Lots of dark wood and somewhat dim lighting, at least in the back section. And the selection of drinks is very classic but tasteful. The Caesar salad was fine. The flatbread appetizer was enough to feed two for dinner and was also fine if a bit of an unusual mix of sweet pear and very sharp blue cheese. The risotto was excellent. Just the right consistency. And the pork chop on sweet potato puree was exquisite. A perfect mix of flavors and perfectly cooked as well. My partner has a French Chardonnay that was just about as bland as it's possible to get I had the Machiavelli Chianti which was interesting but also on the light side. Dessert was a Bailey's cheesecake which my partner who is a cheesecake expert said was fine. A bit bland and with a hazelnut garnish that was not a success.

Beautiful venue with great food! Fantastic service. The manager came over and introduced herself and the waiter was helpful and friendly throughout. We tried the pot roast, Il Filo Chicken, and the Risotto with chicken. All of the dishes were very flavorful and delicious! All of the necessary social distancing precautions were taken.

Stopped by for dinner and the place was packed on a Monday night. Delicious food, entree and dinner both a hit. Hefeweizen from Germany to boot!

The food was absolutely phenomenal!!! Our waiter constantly checked on us and added to the experience.

I used to come here more often when I lived up the street. Today, did some errands in the area and had to eat! Late lunch on Monday. Food is consistently delicious with great service and good attention to details.

The menu selections are seasonal and perfectly prepared. The salmon was expertly cooked. The halibut was tender and had a beet sauce on plate that was was not only exquisite but beautiful. It would be criminal NOT to have dessert at Esin. Her meringue on the lemon tart is heavenly and like NO other I've had. The house made gelato is divine. Dining at Esin is quite simply divine.

The menu has so many delicious offerings. The grilled, Jumbo Shrimp, and they, indeed, were jumbo!, Cobb Salad is beautiful and my friend said it was the best she'd ever had. I had the Petrale Sole with fresh green beans, al dente, and garlic mashed potatoes. Yummy! Our server was five star.👍😊 I absolutely love the quiet / peaceful ambience.

Near perfection! We had the sea bass on risotto and moussaka. Absolutely delicious and service was excellent. Must come back!!

Great meal and service as always. We go once a year for a birthday dinner. 1st off the manager Ricky was awesome super personable. Appetizer Shrimp and Clams wow great broth not what I was expecting and loved it. We had the swordfish special yummy with califlower and couscous. Ricky brought us a taste of wine to pair with the seafood great choice. Brittany was our server she was excellent as well very chatty and ingageing. She mentioned a New Orleans style Manhattan I must try. ( Not on the list ) It made it a great evening for us. Would definitely recommend this place. PS the 🍞 pudding is great.

Here's the deal: I was a fine dining server for about 15 years prior to changing into a professional career. I travel for work now and eat at a LOT of restaurants. The food here is a lovely blend of high quality without being pretentious, over-done, or over-priced. In addition to a couple of starters, I had the cider grilled pork. It was amazing. A hint of ginger in the spiced apple topping really made the dish. The service by Karen was fantastic. She gave me good advice not just for the food but also for my wine selections. And they have gluten-free desserts. This place is basically perfect.

I have eaten here perhaps 3 per year for several years. I have never had a bad or even a meh meal. This place executes well all the time.

The hanger steak was delicious. We also enjoyed the cheese plate and some good wine.

Lunch time foods are not as good as expected for dinner time, but the environment is still good to dining in with friends.

Had the pleasure of dining here for dinner and service was so lovely! Tried the mussels for starter, and salmon + pot roast for main and it was delicious. No complaints, everything was wonderful :)

I have never had a bad meal at Esin, and I've been visting the restaurant for 15 years. Open the menu and order anything, and it will be excellent - every time. Lunch or dinner. Service and ambience are excellent too.

We've been meeting for lunch here for years. The food is delicious, desserts especially good. Atmosphere is elegant. It's gotten very popular, so parking is sometimes a bit scarce and I recommend reservations. Many of the servers have been there for years, too, so service is very smooth.

This was my second time dining at Esin. The food was once again delicious! Each of us ordered a different entree and everyone was happy with their meal. We also shared desserts and the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake was absolutely delicious! The peanut brittle topper was just the right touch to compliment the cheesecake. Service was wonderful. They repeatedly checked on us and constantly refilled our drinks.

It was a really beautifully decorated and intimate setting. The service was very nice and friendly. The food was good, but just needed a little seasoning. The drinks were great!

Waited almost a decade to dine here, putting off and putting off, also they are always relatively busy, we think it's a hidden Danville//Alamo treat. Esin she designs the pastry cake items herself they are NOT purchased from Sysco. The dishes are well thought out and played out presentation. Higher end than Pleasanton fine dining, gives Peasant and The Pear 's chef Rodney a run for his many rest in the area. The food was perfect portioned just right and the taste was not too overly seasoned, nice selection of a wine vault too. Some outside patio dining here too, as we went for Easter Brunch. Mimosa flowed, but had to try others dishes in our adult party of three. What a couple serving long pre covid survivors. My bistecca steak was a 8.5 on a never given ten on a 10 scale. Really great.Packed but no service loss here. Going back for another dessert and cafe' This place for being hidden east off the 680 unlike two landmarked Tge Livery steakhouses and other fine dining, I feel this gets a no surprise traveler recommendation of a 9.5 star

The staff was friendly and professional. Our wait was short but it seemed to take a while to get our drink orders and appetizers served. The pot roast was tender and tasty. The cod sandwich was wonderful with huge portions on a ciabatta roll. But potato chips on the side? Desserts were delectable and looked gorgeous. Quiet and dark atmosphere.

Enjoyed a solo dining experience at Esin. Ordered the soup of the day (cauliflower apple with brown butter) didn't taste much of the apples, definitely got hints of the brown butter flavor. Entree was shrimp pasta. Pasta sauce did not amaze me. Ended with pear brown butter tart. Not too sweet. Took a pecan pie slice to go. $11 for a slice is overkill. Overall service was attentive and welcoming. Came before 5pm without reservations. Got crowded at 6pm. Make reservations!

Quick pitstop turned out to be a pleasant snacking experience. Had to sit outside due to some of the Covid concerns. The heater was turned on, and we felt relatively comfortable on this mid January day in Danville. Although every time the order was taken, and the drinks, food was served.l - we had a new waiter or bartender bringing it to us. Appetizers, cheese, platter, and salmon were relatively good. The fact that one of the drinks was sold as previously premixed did not impress us, however, it was still good. Outside patio has variety tables to choose from. Service is pleasant and very interchangeable. There is not much difference between lunch and dinner menu, but a two extra dishes in each section. Good place to stop again.

Food was good quality and very satisfying. The service staff was attentive and friendly. Solid place for a nicer lunch or date night.

Came here during the weekend, was with a group, we were seated right away @ the patio. Service was good. I ordered Pork chop, it looks great but it was tough and it was barely warm, I liked the quinoa that comes with it. Dessert was ok too.

5 Stars for an amazing staff, our server went above and beyond to make our lunch a very pleasant experience. The place is huge and the ambience is basic with decent spaced tables. They do have outdoor seating for Summers. Coming to the food - the fried chicken sandwich was amazing! It was very well done and the arrangement within was presented well, with layers of avocado, coleslaw, and sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed every crispy bite and will highly recommend. We also got the meze plate which was well organized with the baba ganoush the most tasty. The olives were salty and while the green ones were good, black weren't. Esin's Classic Caeser Salad wasn't fresh and lacked all the minimum tastes of the Caeser salad. Thus falling short of our expectations by a lot. For desert we got the Ginger bread special, tasty with pear and caramel syrup.

I’ve had the pleasure of dining here multiple times. Each time I’ve had a great experience and great food. However, last Saturday that all came to an end. We were there with a group of people and from the start, some of the staff had a bad attitude. Maybe because we all didn’t arrive together, that’s all I can think of. Everything was a rush from the time we were seated until the check came. Appetizers were ordered, and they came at different times, they were good, but timing was way off. Before we finished, they were taking our plates, some still with food on them and the appetizers were only half finished. You spend a lot of money on good food and can’t enjoy it. Main courses were about the same, all came at different times. On person had to wait over 5 minutes for hers while others were already eating. Again, plates being cleared before we all finished eating. Dessert was the same. Delivered at different times and when someone asked for forks, the server rolled his eyes and walked off. If you want to dine here, go for the food and not the service. I was very disappointed because I used to really enjoy the food and atmosphere. Service used to be good, I can’t say that anymore.

Unfortunately we sat at the bar before our dinner reservation I simply inquired about a Spanish gin. The response from the bar tender was arrogant as his associate confirmed that that was not a gin they carried. We were served a small GT and a tiny Moscow Mule. Left the bar. Got seated Soup ok Beet salad atrocious Ordered chicken in phillo Undercooked!! Replaced entree Dessert good Server lovely. Unlikely to return
