I went this morning about 9:30 AM, having been curious for a while. I walked in and walked out within 5 minutes. I ordered a farmhouse with two eggs. The bagel was fresh, hot, and nicely toasted. The bacon and ham were crispy and the cheese was delightfully melty. The shmear also tasted fresh. Everything tasted delicious. Service was excellent, with a prompt greeting and helpful recommendation when asked. The atmosphere was fine, though it was strange the gate between Peet's Coffee and Noah's was down. There's seating inside and out. I'll be back for sure! I was initially hesitant to go because I saw so many negative reviews. But sheesh. I'm not sure what the other reviewers problems were... But I almost wonder if they're not trying to drive this place out of business with some of their comments. Cause I didn't experience any of their complaints. Racism? Rudeness? Slow service? None of that was an issue today at all. Maybe I just didn't go at "peak busy time" but honestly, you get in what you put out. If you're a patient, polite and thoughtful customer, usually the service matches it.

As someone from New York, it has been hard to find a bagel place that does it right. Noah’s has made being so far from home a little bit better with their bagels. Definitely a healthier version, but great all the same.

Expect a wait for their bagels are highly demanded, especially on a morning. I came around 1pm, there was no line, and they still had everything. I didn't know what to get so I got their popular farm bagel. It was the best bagel I've ever had! I had great service, but just give them time to get situated, im sure their customer service will improve.

Nestled in the North Davis Plaza, is a nice bagel shop. Great choices, great spread- it's excellent. Just make sure you go into Noah's and not Peet's coffee, they are adjacent to each other. The chocolate bagels are great, and I love the almond spread. Can't go wrong and you can even order online via phone or call in. Just make sure to check to see if they are open during your time window. They are open everyday 6am--2pm, so they close in the afternoon. Enjoy!

I haven't been here in a long time and the menu has certainly evolved. Mike was a very good bagel tour guide, and put together a delicious breakfast sandwich for me in his personal style. Even though this is a national chain, he made it a very hometown experience with extra special customer service. Thanks, Mike!

I ordered the bagel and lox sandwich. It was delicious. The bagel had just the right crispiness and not too tough or heavy. The lox was fresh, not too salty. It's been a while since I had bagel and lox this good.

Something of a mixed bag. Bagels are quite good. Service is professional and friendly. On the other hand. You can anticipate a bit of a wait after ordering. While there were very few people awaiting orders when I arrived, it turned out I had a lengthy wait after ordering due to phone in orders.

Great bagels, how I like them. Fluffy and fresh.

The food is great , the service is friendly and there is a comfortable outdoor seating area to eat. The only gripe I have is that the bagels aren’t cut in half 100% through the bagel. If I don’t have a knife , My hands typically get filthy trying to take the two parts apart . Otherwise, great spot!

Best bagel sandwiches around! There's a bit longer of a wait, especially if you go where they're busy, but it's well worth it. I feel they've improved on wait times and customer service overall in the past couple of months.

I stopped by after work for a Chelsea and some lox and cream cheese for the first time in awhile. I saw the adorable three pigs out front and a pretty decent outdoor dining area, it's quite lovely. I love the combination of a Noah's/Pete's but it's completely cruel they don't have a public restroom. I believe in sitting and enjoying a moment. It's a tad bit dangerous without a restroom in sight. Overall timely, friendly staff, great products. Go get a bagel or coffee because that's life.

Noah’s is usually great and I used to eat there all the time when I was growing up. Just went back recently, twice, and they messed up my order both times... Not sure what happened, but I hope they can work out the kinks and get back to being the best bagel shop in town!

L
Lindsay Busse

Husband has been here at least once a week for the last two months. The food is good. However, an order has never come out right. Everytime he has to check and return it for the correct item. More than twice his item has been given to a different customer. Wait is as long as other reviews describe. They have been training a lot of new people.

D
Dillon Carlos

Good, not great, bagel sandwiches (the circle cut egg patties are highly questionable). Coffee is gross(2/3 options were cold, too), but PJs is in the same room if you have the patience for two lines. The location is not very good for a convenient breakfast with regards to most of the business centric parts of Davis.

I struggle writing this review. In summary Food is great Customer service is slow Management is HORRIBLE It was my first time trying Noah's bagels and I ordered some bagels, spread and a coffee. The bagels and the spread options are undeniably great! I can't find a honey smhear anywhere so i appreciated that they had it here. The bagels were yummy, I tried regular bagels and I got the pizza bagel which did not disappoint. The service is pretty slow, there were a lot of people waiting and it took a little while to get my order, but not slow enough I wouldn't go back. The management... this is the reason I kind of don't want to go back. Since I was waiting in line all I saw was the manager or owner (not sure which one he was. Early 30s white man, heavy build) being so rude to the employees to the point where I felt uncomfortable. He kept raising his voice at the employees that the toaster has to "always be filled to full capacity", then he kept telling this employee they "needed gloves on, no excuses why there should be no gloves on", and then continuously micro managing an order from telling them what cutting board to use, changing gloves, checking the status etc. Mind you yes, wearing gloves and being stocked is important. But the tone, pitch, and the words he was using with the employees would not make me want to work there. It was difficult to watch as a customer I can't imagine how the employees feel. If you want bagels yes this is a great place, but for me I was disappointed to see the employees get treated that way.

We like the bagels and sandwiches, plus the convenience of ordering ahead to pick up food to go…but there is little to no security in the food pickup section. This morning we had an order of 5 sandwiches stolen before we arrived. The staff kindly replaced them for us at no cost, but we had to wait for the order to be made again. They really need to do something different with pickup (like hold them back and ask for the name associated with the order?) rather than just leaving it sitting out for anyone to come grab.

This place always seems to be be operating extremely slow, and consistently giving out improper orders. The issues aren’t the staffs fault, as they are often scrambling to find out the best solutions to their crazy restaurants system. Instead Noah’s Bagel should seek to get new ownership and management

A
Anna

The manager kept taking of her mask to talk to people because "they couldn't hear her" otherwise. Really? Always a terribly long wait. And don't even think about customizing your order, it will not come out right. But dang, their bagels are good and that's the only reason I keep coming back.

Ordered on the app, placed an order for a poppyseed toasted bagel with lox which included sea salt, potato chips. My order was an untoasted sesame seed bagel and did not include chips. I had to prompt the person at the front desk about the coffee, which was not included in the order, the bag of food Was stapled shut, which is fine, but had assumed the order was otherwise complete. Was not prompted at all at the register about whether or not chips were to be picked up by myself. Was not greeted upon entry or stepping up to the counter. Environment and general feeling in this Noah’s bagels is sadly not the most warm or friendly. Could live with the less than welcoming environment, if I had to choose, could do without the inaccurate and incomplete food order. Food otherwise tasted okay. Hashbrown was a little soggy - probably should have the option to warm it up or ask if you would like it warmed up.

I've given up on this store. It's in my neighborhood and convenient, but really slow even when they are not busy. They are often out of stock on bagels and the coffee pots are empty. Last week, they didn't even bother to toast my bagel for a sandwich.

Are you kidding me? Second time I come to this location and the second time they tell me there aren’t anymore 6 cheese bagels left. Oh well maybe they’ve been mobile ordered or something, but even after choosing another bagel, eating it outside and going back indoors, there are three 6 cheese bagels sitting on the tray. What’s up with this? Even at 11am when the store closes at 2pm, shouldn’t they supply more of those bagels?

Service not good. Long wait (15 min) most of the time. Bagels okay. No bathrooms. Decided to give another try. They are worse than last time. Slow & bad worker attitude. Will go to Posh downtown in the future (so should you!!!).

Ordered delivery for my team, a dozen bagels with schmear, bagels came, with no schmear. When I called to talk to someone to amend the situation no one answered despite me calling 8 times. Finally someone answered, and asked me to hold, and placed me down, without actually placing me on hold so I got to listen to staff talk amongst each other and customers for over 10 minutes, I gave up after it became clear they weren't going to answer anytime soon, nor did they have any concern for their customer on the phone. Honestly more annoyed by their unprofessionalism over the missing product. Why is staff incapable of answering their phone calls? Be careful ordering here.

The bagel quality is probably the best in town. However, I rarely go to Noah's because the wait is also so long. I know to look at the order screens (the ones the workers use to keep track of orders) as soon as I walk in to check how many red orders are in the queue. I will only wait if I see zero red orders on the screen. Even then, it can take 20 minutes to get a toasted bagel with spread. I've had to leave without my bagel before to make it to meetings on time even though I came in with plenty of time to spare. The workers are sometimes rude, but more recently, they have seemed more clueless than rude. When I went in last week, the lady working the register was bouncing back and forth between slicing bagels and touching the register. All with the same gloves. Handling money and food at the same time is just plain gross. I think they're trying their best, but there is no organization or management. Everyone is just scrambling. This isn't a short-staffing or COVID problem because this location has ALWAYS been slow. I honestly don't know how they stay open.

A
Augusta Quilliam

I’m normally not one to give bad reviews but this was unacceptable. Wait time was over 20 minutes, and both me and my friend were given orders without components that we paid extra for. The coffee is not worth the 5 dollars, just go to Peet’s next door. The bagels themselves are good but it’s just not worth the wait for a sandwich that will be missing half its components

K
Kaila tabor

I order my food for delivery on the door dash app. I couldn’t add any notes , so I called them 11 times they didn’t answer any of the calls. I just want them be careful and let them know not make any of my food next to meat because I don’t know if halal or not. I can’t have any pork. For me it religion but what if it was allergy they can’t put allergy modification in on the app or customer trying to contact them let them to know. They refuse to answer the phone.

E
Ethan Chapman

The bagels are good but that is entirely outweighed by the egregiously rude and incompetent service. They gave my food to the wrong person and when I asked them to make it again for me they refused until I asked to talk to a manager. The manager said they would make it and then left me waiting for 30 minutes until I just gave up and left. Suffice it to say I did not feel valued as a customer. Maybe they are going for the authentic New York Deli Experience but if that is the case I think they over shot it in terms of awful service.

Maybe on a Tuesday it's great, but on weekends you're competing with a gazillion delivery or pickup orders, there's limited seating, and no bathroom here or in Peet's next door (they direct you to Safeway). We had to wait over 25 minutes for two bagels.

A
Allison E

I initially tried to DoorDash but they weren't accepting orders due to high demand. When I arrived there was a line with no one at the register. One employee appeared and started taking orders quickly. For me it was hard to hear her, she needed to speak up. I got an Avocado Veg Out bagel...it came with NO avocado and NO cucumber. So I got a bagel with lettuce, tomato, and onions... It was also never pointed out I was to grab my own bag of chips. I saw another customer do so after waiting to ask, I assume, and no one acknowledging her. Is it too hard to have the employees hand chips to customers or put them in bags?? I'm sure countless customers have been shorted their free bag of chips just because they don't know this unspoken rule. I also know people who have DoorDashed for this location and will never accept orders from here again for various reasons. I would say avoid this location.

K
Korbro

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Blatant racism by the staff. I visited the place to pick up an order on September 21, Wednesday on a morning around lunch time. I have never experienced being bad mouthed by an employee while I was standing in front of her. Maybe she thought me and my mother couldn't understand her because we were Asian, but when we went up to the counter to order she very visibly rolled her eyes, let out a loud sigh and turned back to her coworkers to badmouth me while I was standing RIGHT in front of her. When it was the White customers behind us time to order, she did a 180 and greeted them very friendily. We did not do anything to that woman, we just wanted to get our food but we were mistreated and seen as a bother for the simple fact of our race. This sort of behaviour is unacceptable, and it's disgraceful that Noah's bagel promotes it. We will never be going back to this place again, and I encourage everyone who is a Minority to not support this disgusting business. If you actually care, PLEASE do something about that blatantly racist staff. It does not leave a good image on your brand, and more people WILL come out about it.

H
Heather Lieb

I love Noah’s Bagels and have purchased food from here many times, but I may not be returning. This morning, the restaurant was busy and my friend was waiting for her coffee and bagel. After she received her bagel, she waited an additional 20 minutes for her coffee, and after mentioning it to an employee, politely, twice, the employee made her coffee. However, she walked to the back and spit in it. During a pandemic. Very inappropriate and immature. We understand that the employees are busy, however, there is no need to spit in a drink because a customer politely reminded you that you forgot to make their coffee.

J
John Conway

One star for the food, because when we arrived they didn’t have any bagels left, an hour before closing. This happens ALL the time at this location. In fact it happens even in mid morning, like 9 am. As if they are continually terrified that they will have too many bagels and have to throw them out.

N
Nicole Vinson

I ordered two bagel sandwiches on their app. When I showed up to pick up my order, the older woman told me they were out of everything. Literally everything. Despite the fact they had lots of bagels in the window and we're serving other people. I was confused but said ok how do I get a refund? She waved me over to the register and asked for my card. She then refunded me for the wrong order, giving me $7 back instead of the $13.94 that my order was. When I pointed this out, she punched something into the register and asked for my card again, then refunding me $5.73. I pointed out that this still didn't add up to my order. She angrily said, "That's 7, and that's 6." And I replied that my order has been 14. She then reached into the register, grabbed two dollars, and shoved it at me, saying fine how's that? I was nearly in tears by the time I left. If you can't take orders, why are you open? Why can you order things on the app that you don't have? I tried calling to place an order and wasn't given the option to speak with anyone. And why was I told you had nothing when you had a store full of bagels and we're giving other people food? Utter BS. I understand staffing is hard during this pandemic but there's no excuse for treating customers like that.

R
Ryan Dunne

Good bagels but huge wait time while the 2 people working slowly fulfill online orders while the queue backs up out the front door. I just want to pick up bulk bagels but they make me wait in a long line. No attempt by the staff to be quick. Typical wait time is 40 minutes. Absurd.

J
Jaemi Adair

I waited 20 minutes for two cold brew coffees at this location after I placed my order in advance and then the clerk was rude to me and didn’t even get the coffees right so had me wait another 10 minutes. 🙃 what is the point of order ahead???

I often organize regional meetings at my workplace and I tried Noah's Bagels catering once and the ordering was 2 hours late! Everyone was hungry and the breakfast pushed back the entire agenda. They didn't notify me of the delay. I had to track them down. I will not be using their catering services any more.

The place is nice. I like the bagels VERY much. It is clean only on the outside though, if only you guys knew what some of those employees do. VERY appalling I must say. Noah's Bagels, I deeply and truly appreciate your baking because it warms my heart even though it takes forever. I will wait patiently for my bagels though. Alas, DAVIS citizens, be warned!! There is some peculiar stuff going on in there. They gave me dirty looks on MANY occasions.. but I only come back specifically for the glorious bagels. I really love the maple house, so creative. Food is safe (delicious) but my shoes were basically glued to the floors last time I came. Why is it so dirty?

Service unacceptable in Davis. It is inefficient and inconsiderate to those who walk in. They prioritize online orders and make clients wait. They can streamline the way they function by having one group take care of the call in and at least one person servicing the walk in clients. You should be ashamed of how you run this business. You have no respect for your loyal clientele. You are not even the best in town and I have lived in Davis 7 years. Get with the program and improve your service.

They can streamline the way they function by having one group take care of the call in and at least one person servicing the walk in clients. You should be ashamed of how you run this business. You have no respect for your loyal clientele. You are not even the best in town and I have lived in Davis 7 years. Get with the program and improve your service.
