Amazing flavors and incredible service!!! The best Korean food in the area!!!

First time coming here for lunch, two adult two kids spent $188 LOL The atmosphere is very modern and looks new! Wife originally wanted the mother signature hanjeongalk which include braised short rib, garlic buttered abalone and grilled short rib for $119 but I was like why don’t don’t we pay $20 more get the mother queen set include wagyu ribeye, marinated short rib and wagyu beef brisket LOL It was during lunch other on a Saturday, kinda slow for a weekend but the server was attentive and welcoming the wagyu ribeye, short rib and wagyu beef did NOT disappoint!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are coming back for the mother KING set!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Highly recommend this restaurant! We ordered the Mother's Signature Hanjeongsik ($119.95), which is a set menu for two. Hanjeongsik is a traditional Korean dining with many different small dishes. If you're new to Korean food, I suggest trying bulgogi or BBQ, but this menu was a good choice for us. Each dish was beautifully plated (as shown in my photos/videos), with two portions. The flavors were excellent, and the dish's plating was beautiful, clean, and elegant. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere, and our server was very friendly and kind. The only thing I would like to point out is that someone tried to clear some dishes a bit early while we were still enjoying them; it seemed like a simple misunderstanding. It would be nicer if everything was cleared after we finished paying. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I'd be happy to come back again!

Clearly upscale Korean dining! An awesome and different addition to the area. Don’t claim to be a Korean cuisine expert, but they are. Contemporary, elegant vibe, look forward to future visits to explore more.

It was a great first experience for us at the restaurant. We ordered the Mother’s Signature Hanjeongsik for four people, which was a little pricy but worth the cost. Everything felt very clean and distinct. Every bite was great. We added on bingsoo and beef tartare which were also great. Service is a little slow but that is to be expected with so many side dishes and the attention each table requires for this type of meal.

Mother’s apron might be the best Kbbq and Korean restaurant in the Chicago suburbs. Everything was incredibly fresh, including the home made kimchi. The service was impeccable and presentations were charming. The extensive beverage list was very well curated. I will definitely be back.

This restaurant has become my favorite in Korean food; it is amazing in every aspect, food, service and atmosphere... It is spacious, comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful all the way till the end. The food was delicious, we had barbeque, it was called Mother's Queen set, plus butter garlic shrimp. As appetizer we ordered the Korean tempura and the seafood pancake. In the end we had an amazing night... We all agreed on that.

We had the Mother’s Signature Hansang, and we added the Pork Belly. Everything was delicious, from the pumpkin soup to the buttery abalone. The short rib was outstanding. Furthermore, the service was excellent, food presentation was beautiful, the ambience was upscale. We will definitely come back and try other things in the menu.

Very good food. The waiter was very helpful and assisted with everything from choosing the best dishes to helping us cook our meat properly. The restaurant was clean and looked very nice. Fantastic experience.

Reservations for Mother's Day. 1st time here. USDA prime short rib was my favorite. The marinated bone-in short rib is second. Banchan aka side dishes were all so good and got seconds on almost all of them. Love all the variety of salads. Good ol' traditional korean food. Thank you for bringing out the lettuce, mixed greens onions, perilla leaves, bossam, garlic and peppers. That's how I grew up eating korean bbq. #IYKYK. My son is a salmon lover and got the Atlantic salmon and he said it's 5 stars. Ventilation is good... my hair and clothes didn't smell like bbq. Only complaint i have is the service. Wish they had the bell. Decor was very modern. Got the Mother's Day special cocktail and it had perilla leaves which was overpowering unfortunately (and made my drink green). Otherwise the food, atmosphere and presentation were excellent.

So glad we finally tried this place! My husband and I are very familiar with Korean food and lived in S. Korea for many years and can vouch this place has all the right flavors that will transport you to Korea. Not to mention the restaurant is very modern and nicely set up with some beautiful Korean dishware. Great attention to the food and ambiance that is on par with the price point. Kevin (혁진) was an excellent server and he really made our evening special.

we are impressed with all the side dishes. Never thought side dishes can be this elegant until dining here. pork belly, eels. abalone and Marinated Galbi are all really really good. I will definitely come back again to try more food. Great Service and nice atmosphere are definitely bonus points on top of the delicious food.

This was a perfect place for a date. My wife and I get a weekend night a month and this place was perfect for us. The vibe was welcoming and modern, the service was impeccable. "Joy" was our server. She guided us through our first visit with care and enthusiasm. We/she cooked our dinner at the table... And what a cool experience! The meat provided was top quality and the sides matched perfectly! We loved the meal and experience. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful date night!

💯 💯 💯 Place was amazingly good!! The kalbi (short rib) was so juicy and tender, had a delicious marinade and you could tell it was very high quality. Shrimp and salmon were excellent as well. All the sides, especially the kimchi were phenomenal. The service was phenomenal from start to finish and the restaurant decor is very cool. There are plenty of Japanese restaurants around but there are zero Korean and definitely no Korean bbq. What an absolute gem! Highly recommended! 👍🏼👍🏼

Absolutely outstanding. First, the restaurant itself is beautiful. You can see the kitchen as you eat and the dining room is very inviting. Now to the food: exquisite. Chicken bulgogi was grilled to perfection and marinated well. Side dishes were great little samplers with a ton of variety. Throughout our meal, our server Hyuck was friendly and patient, explaining each dish to us. All around wonderful experience that I highly recommend!

I’m usually skeptical of all positive reviews on a new-ish restaurant (it’s been open for 6 months) but you can believe these for sure. Went last night and had an amazing meal. As a Korean, I’m pretty picky with my Korean food — the service, food and ambience are all fantastic. Most Korean places in the NW suburbs are all small mom-and-pop style joints; this one is modern, more upscale, and polished (though more $$). Authentic flavors and the seasoning on everything was perfect honestly (no fusion here thankfully 🤞🏻). Banchan is very well done and a good representation of high quality Korean banchan, short rib bbq was super tender, and we couldn’t resist by ending with some red bean shaved ice (Korean summer dessert staple - wish there was more milk in it though). Definitely leave room for dessert!! Also highly recommend the soju flight and the makgeolli flight, especially if you’ve never tried any! Cocktails looked interesting, too. We will be back to try other foods! Highly recommend!!!

After living in LA for four years, my wife and I have been missing KBBQ in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. Mother’s Apron completely blew away my expectations and was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, the banchan was absolutely perfect, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We went for lunch with our kids, but my wife and I are planning on going back just the two of us on a date night. Highly recommend checking it out!

Finally, modern Korean cuisine has arrived in the northwest suburbs! Food was authentic and nicely presented. We loved the decor, atmosphere , and friendly staff. Fyi, black chef jackets made a big impression. Nice concept! 대박나세요.

Wow. Was not expecting that! Random stop. Ambiance, service and food! The food! Even if I didn’t know what all the food was everything was extraordinary highlighted by the beef bulbogi and pork belly!

I heard a lot about this restaurant so we decided to try it for lunch. It definitely lived up to its reputation! Best Korean I’ve had! Great service and great atmosphere as well. Can’t wait to go there for dinner!

Stopped in for a random Tuesday lunch. Service was amazing, only outperformed by every single piece of food we ate for the Hansang. The freshness, flavor, portions, and genuine passion of the staff made this one of the best restaurant experiences in a very long time. Will not hesitate to return soon!

What a great new addition to the dining scene in Deer Park. This cozy sleek restaurant has a great Korean menu, food & service are outstanding and prices reasonable. Portions are very generous. We will be back!

It was first time visiting this place and my hus and I were very surprised that the interior is very gorgeous and clean. We thought this place might be very expensive but when we check the menu, we got surprised again! The prices were pretty cheaper than I thought! Food were delicious and the service was great as well. I'd love to visit here again with my friends and family.

The food is fresh and really good, the service was amazing and helpful. As someone who’s not Korean I had an amazing time here, I’ve been to a few Korean BBQ places but there is the only one who helped me throughout my experience here. The interior is so beautiful and everything is clean. I totally recommend this place, super nice staff too!

Best Korean restaurant I’ve been to in the whole Midwest. The food is insanely good and authentic. Really only rivaled by some food I’ve had in LA and Seoul.

Went with a friend recently and ordered the Hanjeongsik. Good variety of dishes, and overall taste was pretty good. It got us full so there were no problems with the food amount. The pricing... it was definitely more on the expensive side. I would say this restaurant is one of the better Korean restaurants in the Chicago suburban area. Thanks for the good experience and good food. :)

This is the best Korean BBQ spot in the chicago suburbs. We had the Brisket, Beef Bulgogi and Spicy Pork Bulgogi combo, everything was delicious and the portions were plenty large for 2 people. Our server Chris was great, she really took care of us and made sure we had the best experience possible. Even the salad and soup that comes with your meal is great. Can't wait to come back for more!

Great service, the food is good the lamb was a bit fatty but overall great. Do recommend one of the best Korean bbq I've been too in the burbs!

Visited the restaurant to check it out just the other day and I have to say, I was disappointed in the food. For its price you do get quite a bit of food, but it was subpar at best. It might have been the dish I ordered (spicy pork dinner tray), but the pork tasted like it was doused in gasoline. I was barely able to finish my meal as the taste was so unappealing. The side dishes were great, but it's unfortunate that they were the highlight of the meal. It truly is disappointing when only the presentation is good while the taste is not. I can only hope that the food quality will improve.

My husband and I were excited to enjoy date night and were able to find an early reservation to bring our 10 month old along with us. We arrived and were impressed to see the beautiful open kitchen. The food was impressive and the cocktails- delicious. However it seemed clear to us that our 10 month old was not welcome- multiple times were we encouraged to use a booster instead of a high chair because the high chair was in a "high traffic" area. At this point in the evening, there were only a handful of seated tables, however cognizant that we didn't want to interrupt any workflow for the staff we offered to move to a different table but were told everything else was reserved. At the end of our meal (approximately 6:30 pm) we asked to see a dessert menu, but were informed by someone, who was not our server, that the kitchen was too backed up to serve dessert. I've never been to a restaurant that refused dessert. My husband and I have enjoyed dining at upscale restaurants many times and truly have never felt more unwelcome in any establishment. I'm disappointed to say that although we enjoyed our meal, we will not be back to support this business.

Majority of the food tasted great, but the service was horrendous. I would not recommend just because of the waitress we had! We went with a group of 6! The food was pretty tasty with generous portions, some of the sides were very salty. Where it becomes bad was the service from the older waitress, who clearly did not explain anything and kept running away right after she would bring the foods. She also did not clear the table, and always expected us to give the empty plates to her, which we don't mind helping. But the fact that we had to pin her down to give us forks and garlic shrimp that we asked for multiple times. Additionally, she didn't pour the water from the bottle initially, and were mad at us for opening the bottle to pour ourselves water. How are we supposed to know the cover stays on unless she shows us!?! Another problem was when we asked for dessert menu, around 8:40pm, not even close to closing time; she also said that they don't serve dessert. Why wouldn't an upscale place like this, not have single dessert? I asked the lady if the fish was cooked, and she asked me if I was blind? It's a Korean BBQ place where we cook the meats, was I supposed to look at the fish and know. A majority of us are business owners; my friend even made a comment that she must not be the owner of this establishment, as they would never treat customers like this.
