My last post was great about this location since then the dining room was never opened and they have become so short and rude. Terrible service as I waited for 30 mins for my food only to get home and see even though I was charged correctly I was missing half my 60 dollar order. To top it off my food was cold only after a five min trip home. What happened chicken e?????
We picked up chicken strips for a very picky grandson and he loved them. We did too along with the potatoes, gravy, and okra. The rolls are awesome also!
Rolls light and fluffy, chicken cooked perfectly (juicy), okra not burned, it’s just right! And the woman’s bathroom was clean. 7/12/24 5:45pm
The lady working the counter I think the manager was lovely and so cool. The food was fresh and hot and the best chicken express around the Denton area #1. Definitely recommend especially if your dining in for dinner the night shift is super cool.
This location consistently does a great job of not under cooking their chicken and/or it is not too greasy. Good service at the window. Made my drink like I asked for it, the first time! Happy customer.
Wow! Talk about a yummy chicken place. This is it. Great chicken tenders in regular and spicy. Fantastic sides. Super soft hot rolls. Even great condiments like spice salt, hot sauce, honey and more. Now I understand why these stores are everywhere.
I visited this location today and was impressed with how well the staff was on top of every order and very fast with my order. The drive thru was packed so I went inside and ordered the Monday special food was hot and delicious.
I ordered food to feed our volleyball team and the place I ordered from didn’t make the food. I went to this location and ordered 90 tenders and rolls The woman working the drive thru, the cook and her inside help went above and beyond to get the food made fast and out to me They were so nice and helpful!!!! And even loaded my car
Chicken e is my favorite fast food since I’ve moved to Texas. Today I had the catfish and hush puppies for the first time. Incredible. The huspuppies are corn pups and taste completely hand made. The fish was crispy seasoned well yet flaky. I usually go for the thighs drums and chicken livers, but my boyfriend is doing lent and I’m so happy I tried something new cause it was so worth it. I also love the large options of sides. And the marketing is awesome I will have a shirt at some point before I leave here. Thanks chicken e
If you're looking for a fast, quick, meal that doesn't taste like "fast food" and it's really good, this is you're place. I've dined at this location multiple times and I have never been disappointed. The fried catfish dinner is better than some of the restaurants that specialize in this area. The customer service and price point are both good. Currently, only the drive up is open, but the line moves quickly.
It took 7 minutes to enjoy the BEST CHICKEN ever! We appreciate your business more than we can express and success will be the best! Fried okra is complimentary to fried chicken!.....YUM! THANK YOU!
My daughter requested their catfish for her 8th birthday dinner, so since it was for more than 10 people I called ahead and asked if it would be possible to place my order ahead for pick up. They were extremely helpful and kind and allowed me to place my order to have it ready when I came to pick it up. When I got there a little earlier than expected they were quick to meet me at my car to confirm my order, take my payment and deliver my order - all in the cold rain. I was very appreciative of all their help and my daughter loved her birthday dinner. Thank you so much!!
Very pleasant staff which go the extra mile to make customers feel good and happy. They are patient, caring, friendly, courteous, and professional. I love their fish meals and sweet tea. They also have an impressive array of side dishes, from which to choose.

Been here twice now, the staff is really friendly! Both times I asked for the spicy tenders, extra crispy, they obliged and they were super good! The hush puppies are delicious, the mashed potatoes on their own are okay but if you dump the gravy it's served with into them and mix it up it's superb!

Came here Monday and ordered a #1, it was less than the menu price. I asked the lady at the window why the price was lower and she said "I dont know I dont look at the menu" Came here Wednesday of the same week (dont judge me) and ordered the same thing, it was the menu price so when I got to the window I asked the person helping me the same question, and she informed me of the Monday #1 Special, which I didnt know about Very helpful person, if you ever come here, ask for Kennedy (I hope I spelled it right I even asked them but I already forgot)
The food here was some of the best I've had from a chicken express, only issue was hearing my grandma say "hey, (name)" to me despite me coming alone after I left. 10/10, would come again
The 3 piece chicken combo was fresh and delicious. Their rolls are delicious and their sweet tea is always fresh and cold. Their service is quick and accurate.
Always clean, service is always good. The fish can be crispy on the thin ends but not sure how you avoid that and make sure the thick parts are thoroughly cooked. Love the fried chicken and chicken strips.
Love the chicken tenders. Wish they has more size selections. The fried okra was excellent, fried to perfection. They had an excellent amount of employees working for 5pm on Sunday in my opinion which allowed for fast and efficient service.
Chicken is consistently good and I love their new fries but the item I love most is the fish. It's cooked fresh and is better than what I've had in some fish restaurants. Tea's a little sweet but I ask for it to be half sweet, half unsweet and it's perfect.
Good, dependable, and close. Sweet tea is bombsagne! Got more gizzards in my half dozen livers (judge not...) but overall on point.
Very poor customer service. I was told when I placed an order in the drive thru for Catfish, that it would be a 10 minute wait on the fish. I waited in line for that long and an additional 10 minutes when I got to the window. Then they didn't even apologize for the wait. Food was okay.
A good chicken express. In 8 years of visiting, there has never been a serious problem with their food quality. Their monday special is a good deal. My only complaint would be that they often get biscuits and rolls mixed up and the size and quantity of tenders is inconsistent. In a 4-pack, sometimes you'll get six large tenders. Other times you'll get 4 nuggets that hardly make 2 tenders when put together. Otherwise, the food is great.
Overall a good chicken tender fast food chain. My biggest gripe is with how noisy it can get in there, along with sometimes the tenders are really small, and the fact they put on the horrendous fox news on the TV's. However I do not own the restaurant so it is the owners decision on what they want to have broadcasted.
This is my first time going to Chicken Express. The drive thru was open. No walk in table service was available. I went around 7:00 pm on a Monday night. Not sure if it's closed inside due to covid. The ordering was fast but I did have to wait for my food which isn't a problem. It was fresh and hot. The fried catfish is delicious. Not overly spice. Crisp and tender. Hush puppies were really good too. Loved the claw saw. This place is a fast food restaurant but it taste like a sit down dinner kind of food. Definitely recommend to check out when your in this part of Texas.
Chicken was good but they didn't have butter they forgot my drinks the communication between them is poor because they were going to charge me again when I ask for my drinks. They forgot about the napkins and the food was to go. So check your meals before you leave
The food was okay but what really got us is that the manager on duty was berating an employee in front of everyone.
I got the chicken tenders and mashed potatoes. I got the fried pickles instead of the drink too, which is a pretty good deal. I try to stay away from sodas to keep my figure but I also love eating so subbing a side (fried pickles) for a drink is an easy choice. Anyways. One problem I ran into is that combination of roll, gravy, mashed potato, and chicken strips tastes very high school lunch. As such, I can only give 3 stars to a fast food place that tastes like cafeteria food- even if it's still pretty good.
The drive-through is ridiculous. You order ahead for pick up and still have to wait 20 to 25 minutes in line to get to the window and everywhere in denton, open up their restaurant, and your restaurant is closed for dining. Why not open up the eating area? Please!!! the food is great but the drive true lane is horrible. I saw cars leave just because they have been waiting a long period of time.

We ordered two 4 piece chicken tender dinners. Food was delicious. However, when we got home and opened the boxess, both orders only had 3 tenders and the containers for the gravy was only about 1/3 full. It's too far and too busy to take the time to go back to the restaurant to fix the order. We definitely feel cheated.
Not super consistent, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad. Often forget to put in sides you already overpay for. And it’s 2026, it’s time to add Tap to pay at the drive through.
Management seems to always be changing. As a result, cooking and preparation processes can vary. After coming for over a year, I find they can have really great days and really bad days. It averages out to middle of the road food, service, and quality. Make the drive to Chicken Express in another town or go to an entirely different restaurant. Don’t support this location.
The food is amazing. The hospitality from the manager toward homeless people is not so good. I understand you can't operate a business if you give all your food away for free, but they didn't do that. Me and my family were done eating, and had the remainder of our untouched food in a to go box, when I noticed a homeless person eating out of a trash can outside. I simply stepped outside and gave him my to go box, and the manager didn't seem to like that, as he was telling his employees pretty loudly that if you feed alligators, they'll keep coming back. That is probably true to an extent, but there are many homeless people today who was once wealthy. One event in your life can change everything, and you could be in that same predicament. The Bible says, "He that giveth to the poor shall not lack." I will continue to help where I can. I don't have much, but what I have here is temporary anyway. Mr. Manager, hopefully you never have to eat from a garage can, but if the time comes, and I see you eating from a garage can, I'll feed you too.
Visited earlier in the day food was awesome service was awesome just as good as a food figured I'd go and visited later on in the day when I got off work so I'll stop by and got some more food from there but it wasn't aware that I had to speak slang or any of that nonsense lo behold my order was wrong so seriously get people train on how to take orders we'll gladly visit anytime during non-school hours when there's not a teenager working
I usually enjoy theyre great food with that southern style sweet tea but this location took forever (over 20 minutes) after I paid I was asked to move up (I'm assuming so the boss doesn't see how long they take) and waitvfor them to bring my food. Then when I finally got it there was tiny pieces of livers and gizzards ... I'm not one to complain about not getting extras but I know they deliberately placed the smallest pieces in there cause the guy had a smirk on his face when he handed me the bag. I used to work for C&E and our livers and gizzards were all full size not small pieces, and we always threw a couple extra in cause of the 15 minute drop wait ... I would usually give atleast 4 stars except for the undersized portions and delayed staff at this location.
The food was delicious, but the girl at the drive thru window at night was super rude. She didn’t say a word & just handed me my box of food & shut the window. Didn’t ask me if I needed any condiments or anything. I had to wait for her to come back so I could ask her for some condiments , & when she got them she gave me a huge handful of them & slammed the window.
I will no longer come to this chicken Express because there is always something off about my order. If my fries aren't old and full of grease, then it's the chicken that's old. I never seem to get a meal where absolutely everything is hot and fresh. I recommend Golden Chick if you want Express chicken. Chicken Express just needs to care a little more for their customers food.
Happy Birthday! NOT! Went to the chicken express off loop 288, thinking I was going to get my FREE combo for my birthday, that was text to me. Ordered in the drive thru and waited the usual ten minutes. Get to the window show my phone to redeem my rewards. Didn't work. Get the manager, didn't work. She calls the supervisor. Oh he hasn't "updated" it since last year "so you will still receive text messages, but just ignore them". It's like they really don't want my business, bc they don't do Uber eats anymore. Oh well there are other good chicken places in Denton. Krispy Chicken and Golden Chick, Canes....
The whole time we ordered we couldn’t hear anything the person was saying. We kept having to ask her to repeat herself. No total was given, nothing was repeated. We got to the window and the whole order was wrong. When we asked for it to be corrected, they said, “oh uh well it’ll be like a two minute wait?” And that’s fine, but come on.
I ordered the 4 piece chicken strips w/1 side, and roll and 1 order of fried pickles. I received my order and the fries were cold and over cooked, the fried pickles were over chicken and so hard I couldn't eat them and had to send them back. The employees are all young and were playing around behind the counter loudly. I will not be going back to that restaurant in the future.
The food is always good, however, I've given up on expecting my order to be correct. I've called, I've emailed the owner, yet the employees still don't put in enough effort to get everything you ordered in the bag. Hopefully something changes because this has always been my favorite chicken brand and the one by UNT is gone.
I’ve been coming to this location for a very long time. And this is the worse it’s ever been. The employees they have working don’t seem to care about their job. The manager is very unprofessional and needs to talk to people with more respect! I was shocked to learn he was the manager at all because he wasn’t dressed like a manager. He’s extremely long hair not in a hair net and baggy pants and dirty clothes made it hard to believe he was the one in charge. We did get food. So that’s a plus. We had to go back to get the sides they forgot. Then again because our hush puppies weren’t cooked. The replacement ones were burnt! But the tea was good. So other than the raw, puppies, unprofessional dirty manager, burnt puppies, and forgotten fry’s it was a good visit! Do better! Just do better!
I decided to write a new review. This time, the restaurant has REALLY, REALLY, REALLY let me down!! I was giving the benefit of the doubt, giving them a couple of chances by ordering from them. In doing so, they have truly let me down!! 2 times, they messed my order up! The first time, I ordered 2 family side fried okra, the first time-they gave me 2 boxes of rolls!! Now the second time, I asked for 2 family side fried okra, THIS TIME--they gave me GRAVY instead!! All of this is really STUPID!! I called this place, and the girl wants to put the blame on Door Dash, when all Door Dash is doing is delivering orders! The restaurant should be to blame! I'm very angry about this because I spent way too much money on all these wrong orders! I'm done ordering from y'all again!! If we want Chicken Express, we will go in person I'm done with y'all!!
They always did a great job. Of course that's the past...it's been awhile. This visit sucked. The fried okra was burned, the macaroni was mooshy like oatmeal. Then the chicken breast seemed as if the chicken wasn't fed in a couple of weeks before the process. Very poor job Chicken Express.
I like Chicken Express, but I am not impressed with the service at this location. 2nd bad experience here. There will not be a 3rd. I went in to order dinner and have items replaced they missed last time. I placed my order inside and waited. I watched at least 3 employees look at my order sitting in a bag on the back counter. Each one walked away. The order was complete. However, rather than haand a waiting customer his hot food, they just let it sit there getting cold.
On 11/04/25 at noon I came for the first time ever and I received bad service from the lady with glasses at the front. She responded with attitude tried to rush me when ordering our food and made it seem like I was inconveniencing her when I asked for another lid and a bag to take our leftovers but went out of her way to help a caucasian gentleman. Seemed pretty racist to me. I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN thanks to her horrible service.
Went at lunch today and the lady believe her name was Valerie was at the register. I had no issues with her but as I was sitting waiting i overheard her with several other people and my god was she rude. She was extremely short with an elderly gentleman and then was condescending to a Hispanic couple that came in. The lady didn't speak English very well and Valerie literally her in a very rude way that she didn't speak her language. The guy with her translated and when it was his turn to order she asked him what side he wanted and when he asked her what they had she yelled at him and pointed to the menu. To top it off a group of African Americans came in I'm not sure what happened but not even 2 minutes later they were screaming and cussing at her calling her a racist. With valaries blatant attitude I will probably not be back. And I really suggest corporate to keep an eye in this location
I live in a town over that has a chicken express but I go out of my way to go to this location in Denton. Not anymore though! It has gone so downhill! From the chemical tasting sweet tea jugs, to the watery sweet tea in the cups, to the tiny gravy cups. FINALLY the biscuits aren’t as hard as cement but everything else is just ruined. Tonight I was missing an entire meal, a roll, and a side of okra. Establishment ran by children….
I went through the drive-thru at 6:30pm. I was asked to pull up because it would take 20 minutes to fry up more chicken breasts. Forty five minutes later, they had not brought my food out to me. I ended up having to go inside to find out what happened to my order. They had forgotten about me! The manager should have been more aware that their supply of chicken breasts were running low.
The service is really bad today. We were asked to pull our car up we waited for 10 minutes when the food didn't come I got out of the car and knocked on the locked door. They finally gave us our bag and when I got home there was no roll and no french fries. I had also asked for ketchup and jalapeno Ranch which I asked again for at the door. It's a good thing I did because it was not in the bag. There was no apology for me having to wait 10 minutes and having to get out of the car either.
Guess this is the last time I will go to this store. Pulled into the drive thru, requested freshly cooked livers for my wife, the reply I got was "we cook our livers fresh every day"! Went ahead and got the order and got home only to find, not only were the livers not cooked reasonably fresh, but the tenders I also ordered were cold. It appears this staff cooks food only a couple of times a day and mounds it way up until it sells out. Not a busy time of day (3:30pm Wednesday) which is why I did ask for the fresh cooked. Food continues to cook once pulled out of grease and put under a heat lamp right away, so it is pretty easy to tell that the food had been there quite a while. Livers were dry and tough, tenders were just not really up to temp. Food safety is not really a thing for this store, obviously, so will no longer shop here
I don’t know how this location has 3.9 stars and one singular 1 star review. I have came here 6 times in the past 2 months and 5/6 times they have messed my order up. Their inside isn’t open because I guarantee you they don’t want people to come in and complain. How hard is it to differentiate a roll from a biscuit or fries from okra. This job isn’t rocket science I guarantee you they are just stoned out of their minds or just completely incompetent.
If I could give 1 star I would this place has horrible service might as well drive down to the tesley location to get some better service slams doors in your face can't be polite looks as to me it's a whole bunch of teens with no manger . Not even to be a Karen but this is not the first but 3rd time this month. I work for Taco Bell and I assure you you will never go thru this !
I love chicken express but I hate this location. Normally I go to the one by my house however this was an order for my office. One of my orders was incorrect which is not a huge deal however when I had called back the lady who answered the phone was very rude and had no customer service. This is an ongoing issue that we as an office have had. There is no excuse for being rude and nasty when you are the party at fault. Very ghetto people and attitudes.
I ordered chicken livers and gizzards. Three livers and four gizzards. Of the three livers only one was full sized. Three of the four gizzards still had their green ball skin on them that SHOULD have been removed during cleaning BEFORE they get cooked. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! Hubby ordered the four piece tenders. Smallest tenders I've ever seen. About the size of nuggets. NEVER GOING BACK!!!
Slowest restaurant I have ever been to. There was a line considering it was Sunday afternoon, but I started to order, they took half my order then got distracted. Came back over the speaker more than 5 minutes later so I had to repeat what I had already ordered and finish since they didn’t get the second half. Then had to repeat my order AGAIN when I got to the window. Took more than 30 minutes to go through a drive-thru and was late getting back to work. Never will go here again!
This is the worst chicken express I have ever been to. When ordering they were out of many sides, and were not polite in the delivery of the news, and once I finished my order the drive thru attendet was impolite and umprofesional. Coming from some one who has worked in the service industry for close to a decade, I can tell you the food was mediocre and the empoyees where unfreindly and unwelcoming because they were more focused on pre closing an hour early. I will not be returning to a store that has no care for the customers or the product they serve.
Last night on 10/15 I went through the drive through ordering food for my family my order was 75$ in which I asked for ranch I was changed 5$ for (10) ranch all for me to get only 4 in the bag. This was after I waited 35-45 minutes to get my food very disappointed I didn’t get what I ordered.
Worst chicken express I’ve ever had. I told the manager I was unhappy with my meal and he seemed bothered by actually having to do his job. I ordered a snack pack and tea which is almost $7 by the way for 2 tenders and a fry and they gave me 2 chicken tenders barely bigger than the width of my finger, a half empty small bag of fries and left off my role completely. In the end I got a family pack of roles for free like that’s going to solve my grievances....
I just left here! Every time I come, they don’t have enough chicken to do an 8 or 12 pc combo! Then I’m told I have to wait 20 minutes! This is sad, so I’ll take my business elsewhere!
The fact that this place doesn’t take Apple Pay sucks!! I had my mouth sit on those chicken strips that delicious gravy that biscuit and those incredible okra only to find out when it came time to pay that they don’t accept Apple Pay!!! this company truly needs to get with the program them and Walmart

WORST SERVICE EVER!! Went tonight 1/21/23 at 8:00pm ordered a #25 spicy double mash and large family okra. Person in drive thru was rude, said they could not do a 25 and then proceeded to ask hot or spicy. When I tell you this chicken was re fries with seasoning thrown in it, it’s not edible. We did NOT get the double mash they gave double fries and to top it off WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. To end the night I had to come home and end up cooking something that was edible.
Never going to this location again. They hire a bunch of kids to handle your food, and they all have attitudes and horrible customer service. I bought 4 individual tenders and only received 3, how? Wish I could upload a picture of this macaroni and cheese, just a blob of yellow in a cup. I should have followed my instincts to just drive off when the kid at the drive thru window was rude and annoyed.
I was trying to grade 0 stars but there isn't an option to do so. The owner of the chicken express on loop 288 right by taco casa seems to not put his customers first when orders are incomplete and wrong. When you order fresh chicken it means right out of the oil. The employees are too busy playing around instead of taking care of the customers on what they ask for. When I place my order I expect to get the exact things that I'm paying for not short on chicken. I ordered 3 piece chickens and paid for it and ended up getting 2 piece chickens. When I emailed the owner he took the side of his employees instead of the customer after they told me they would replace the food with a voucher for a later day instead he said scratched off the voucher that I took a picture of off my phone and told me he respected my opinion but respects his employees opinions more. If your brave enough to go don't leave without checking your order. Which in my opinion you shouldn't have to check it . It should be correct the 1st time and not have to worry about checking it. I would advise not to visit that establishment. I won't give them the satisfaction of my business.
Absolutely ridiculous service. I came to redeem a birthday meal and the manager was extremely rude and disingenuous. She claimed that because I redeemed the coupon *right in front of her* that it could not be accepted because apparently they have to be the ones to redeem even though this was never stated AND the coupon expires in a week. This coupon expired on 9/23/22 and I used it on my birthday of 9/16 so how would it be possible for this to be fraudulent? This was terrible customer service in my opinion and I will never be eating here again. The manager can go to hell.
Bad reviews are not me. I always figure anyone can have a bad day so I just let it go. But the customer service at this place was so bad and with multiple employees. There almost has to be a management issue. I like Chicken Express for an occasional snack or meal but this particular location, and the employees that I dealt with, bring bad service down to a new low. I highly reccomend you pass this location up and drive the extra mile for a friendly face and good service.
Went through the drive-through and placed an order for the 3 number ones as well as ordered a kids meal, when I was given my total I was told it was $16 and some change. I asked if she had gotten everything as the price was different and she said yes go to the window. Once there they only charged me for one box dinner and the kids meal I went ahead and let them know it was supposed to be three number ones, The guy at the register seemed very annoyed that he had to change the order, the lady who brought my food to the window had an attitude and said OK so now you have your three number ones and your kids meal what else did you need? I asked her if the okra was in the bag also she sighed loudly and said yeah, when I was giving back my credit card I asked for some condiments The young man at the register said OK then proceeded to hand me drinks and I asked for a drink carrier he rolled his eyes and said all we have are plastic bags I said OK that’s fine then he hands me my drinks and I said can I please have the condiment, he sighed very loudly slammed the window shut rolled his eyes and aggressively handed me condiments. Staff was very rude.
Messed up order wanted 4 piece got a 3 fries hard an cold chicken couldn't finish dry as a bone. If you need a toothpick try the chicken place isn't worth going to. Get better at Walmart.
Okay, so I work in customer service. If someone is calling about a messed up order that’s like over $10 or something, I totally understand having them come in with the meal and receipt to get a refund. But as long as I’ve been in customer service, I’ve never had a problem refunding a couple doubles back to the card. I had ordered a meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and then an additional mashed potatoes and gravy. I got home and ended up with 4 buckets of just gravy and no potatoes! I called after driving an additional 15 minutes home with no ac just to be told to get a $3 refund I have to bring the WHOLE meal BACK across town. What’s so wrong about giving me $3 back, I have no idea! Make sure to check your meals before leaving the window because they will not service you otherwise. Managers were not understanding or polite about this issue. It’s just mashed potatoes but they have to “keep themselves safe from revenue loss” of $3.
How are you going to hand me my food with no bag and no napkins in the drive thru? Do Better
Not a great experience. I ordered a #4 in the drive-thru and upgraded it from a combo to a dinner to get an extra side. I chose okra and corn nuggets, but when I got my food, the corn nuggets were missing. On top of that, they charged me for a #1 plus a drink and the extra side instead of the correct price for my meal. I had to go inside to get a refund, and instead of just fixing the charge, they had me pay again at the correct price. To make things worse, I had to manually type in my credit card, which didn’t feel secure. They apologized, but there was no compensation. The whole process took about 20 minutes, and I still hadn't eaten. Plus, they were out of biscuits and said there was a long wait, yet I was still charged for one even though it wasn’t included in my meal. A simple gesture, like upgrading a side or offering something small, would have been appropriate compensation for the hassle.
Such a horribly managed location. Been multiple times and it's clear all mgmt cares about is saving pennies. Super slow service. Roll was literally raw in center, they never give ranch for fried pickles and when asked they say its in bag but not, fried pickles not fried long enough (always stuck together and near raw), gravy half full, chicken super greasy, dr P not set at normal setting (weak). Learn from your Sanger neighbors, they do it 100% right. Will not come to this location again. Terrible.
This restaurant is a hot mess. The last two times that I visited, I went through the drive thru and ordered two pieces of chicken and a roll. Both times they were out of chicken legs but didn’t communicate that to me until I got to the window and had waited over ten minutes in line. I called the store to give them the feedback of the poor service, lack of product and communication and the manager said, “We do struggle on the weekends because we have kids working.” No offer to make it right. No real apology. Just excuses. I won’t be back.
I have never in my life had a terrible experience with chicken express, besides today. So first off, we order the mimi poppers. paid almost 3 bucks for them. and they only gave us three. the rolls literally taste like soap. lastly, there sweet tea taste like they haven’t been cleaning the metal container good.
Went in and ordered chicken gizzards and some how they said the details got mixed up with the cook. The two customers that ordered after me got their food first and I waited over 45 minutes. How did it take them so long to figure out it was an issue with my order? Then I finally got the gizzards and they were a little hard. They were not like that when I ordered them a week ago. The place also needs a good cleaning.
Came through the drive thru at 6:30 pm and was told I couldn’t order 4 legs, and would not be allowed to wait because they weren’t dropping anymore. I managed a chicken express for years and never turned a customer away who was willing to wait. Never coming back.
The worst ever, the employee doesn't listen to the order correctly. Then they bag the order the right way and things are missing in the order. Also things are missing and they take too long with the order. I don't recommend anyone going here at all. Plus it's not worth paying the money for bad service.
Don not buy overhere, nothing food safety is trash amd I know because of a worker there i bought food yesterday and all my family and my self have salmonela all of us are vomiting and with diarrhea, I don't know how many people got sick but I hope the city shut down this location because not even correct management is on floor good thing I saved a couple of peaces so that way the city can inspect them even the restaurant is empty probably because of the service. I have always love this chicken but this location needs to be shut down by the city and management should be fired and removed from the city and not be management on any other type of business.
When you spend $66 on a meal you expect to get everything you ordered and if you mess up you expect people to apologize for not giving you the order but they just handing you the food go here you go with no accountability they were completely oblivious to the inconvenience of this was. This is why minimum wage shouldn’t be increased.
Food was awfully salty and dry. When we called the store manager said I will let the owner knows and will contact me...and yet I am still waiting to get refund on this awful food and service.
I waited over 5 minutes in line that didn’t move at all. 3 cars in front of us. 1 left the line and the other 2 were there for at least 10 minutes or more. We saw two female employees talking to themselves at the window. Those working 11/21 night, do ur job. Worst service
For the past 20 years my family has been coming here. I am a veteran and they have been giving entire family my military discount. The manger would only discount my combo meal. What is the point?
Missing part of my order and the quality isnt worth it for the price. 7 piece tenders combo shouldn't be 16 dollars and shouldn't have to drive back and get my missing side. Better off going to Canes for these prices at least your order will be correct. Wouldn't complain as much if I hadn't waited in line for 10ish minutes.
I’ve always ordered all dark meat(16 pcs.) and always being told that will take time to cook them. I ordered it on line this time and gave it some time until the order tracking tells me it’s ready. I sent somebody to pick it up 5 minutes away. On site and the chicken is not even dropped yet. They gave same excuses blah blah blah. Why not just say sorry sir , we drop the ball and doing what we can to get out asap. This take time about an online printer and it’s because it’s all dark meat doesn’t cut it. It should been ready unless somebody not doing there job correctly.
The chicken strips are extremely bland. They have no seasoning or flavor at all! The batter is bland & unseasoned & so is the chicken itself. Even the spicy strips have the hot spice on the crust but the chicken is tasteless & unseasoned!!!!! This is my 5th time ordering during the past 2 months. I continued going because I’ve always liked the chicken express in Frisco, Ft Worth, Carrollton & Aubrey over the years so I was trying to give the Denton 288 location the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the first time was just a bad batch & mistakenly missed being seasoned but 5 times isn’t a accident, that’s intentional. This is absolutely the worse chicken express tenders I’ve ever had (5 times) I’m tired of wasting money because I had to throw them away. I’m new to Denton but heard there’s another chicken express location that’s about 9 miles away from me so I’ll try that but if it’s not any better I’ll wait until I’m in one of the above mentioned cities before I order chicken express strips again. Also, each time (all 5 )the mash potatoes were pasty not creamy like real mashed potatoes.
I witnessed the following today: there was an elderly lady standing off to the side waiting for an order. I ordered & received my food. The lady stood waiting…for over TWENTY MINUTES! She finally went up to the counter to ask about her order. The employee told her it would be another TEN or so minutes. The elderly lady understandably became frustrated and told the employee ‘that’s what I was told 25 minutes ago when I paid for my order’. The employee was unnecessarily rude to this woman who had been waiting for her order. They didn’t offer to rectify the issue or offer any compensation. They were just unkind to the lady. The lady told them to ‘just give me my order…I don’t care what kind of pieces’ (apparently she had ordered specific pieces). The employee again was unnecessarily rude. I felt so sorry for the little old lady. She did tell them ‘I won’t be back’ and I don’t blame her. I don’t think our family will go back there either. Do better Chicken Express!
AVOID!! Terrible location. Spent $50 on a family meal and waited forever despite being the only one in line on a weekday night and had been seemingly for at least an hour. Somehow a line built behind me, and a lady at the window went to hand me my food asked me for an order #? then closed it when I didn’t have one and my food sat there for 5 minutes until someone else came and finally gave it to me. Cream corn was overcooked, rolls undercooked, and 90% of the chicken was breading that tasted like it sat out for hours. Everyone at the window could care less if I was there and the guy on the speaker was the only decent encounter. Not to mention I got fries that were so soggy and still managed to taste and feel like they had been recooked several times already. Threw most of everything out :( please don’t waste your money here they won’t be in business much longer. Overpriced garbage.
This location is always mediocre but after today I won’t be back . The customer service was really good . Good hot and fresh . The fries were not fried that good but when I went to dip my fry in the ranch I noticed a piece of hair fried into my French fry . I was going to call the store to complain but at the bottom of the receipt it states no refunds unless returned same day. I do not live in Denton I never knew any company to make such rules. I know the images look like lint but it is cat hair down the fry the color of the hair changes .
