Most aesthetic milk tea place in OC! Located in a small plaza with convenient parking, I visited on a weekday and had no issues finding a spot, but it seems like it gets busy during peak times. It's a cute shop with a beautiful, Instagram-worthy interior! The staff were so friendly and gave me helpful recommendations! I tried the popcorn milk tea, and I was impressed. The sweetness was perfectly balanced, and the popcorn flavor was subtle--neither too buttery nor too syrupy. The Brown sugar tapioca mochi had an excellent texture! Fresh, with just the right amount of chewiness. I loved it... I'd say it tastes like luxury milk tea! This place is better suited for takeout or a quick stop, as there isn't much seating, and many people come and go, so it's not ideal for sitting and chatting with friends. If Torotea were closer to me, it would absolutely become my go-to milk tea spot! Highly recommend giving it a try!
Worth the drive! Drove 40 mins to try this place that my friends recommended. They didn't disappoint me. Top from service to products. They welcome us and ask if we want to try their sample (Jasmine Oolong). First sip already wow me. The aroma is not too strong but have a good sweet note. I bought 4 drinks, and love them all. Unlike other boba, they serve jelly mochi. It's not chewy but not soft like jello, cool to try. Other thing, I love their decorations, but not too much room to hang around.
A new and unique tea shop! I got the Misty Oolong tea with no modifications and it was absolutely delicious! The normal amount of ice is only 8 pieces of ice so there no need to do less ice. I usually get my milk teas at 25-50% sweet, but the drinks are already less sweet so I ordered it as is and it was perfect! You can really pick up the authenticity of the tea with each sip. What makes this place truly unique is the tapioca mochi (which I recommend in place of boba). It has a soft mochi texture that compliments each drink nicely. Like a mochi treat in each sip. Enjoy!
Update: This has become our staple to go boba place. Now that the initial hype has dropped it’s much faster to get your drink orders and there are no longer any drink maximums. However it’s definitely still busy especially on the weekends and a line will form. They’ve opened online ordering which was fast and convenient. Place your online order and then you’ll get another email when your order is ready. They’ll also call it out in store. Original post- (10/10 would get again, lovely brewed milk tea. The line is generally about 8-15 people deep regardless of when you go on the weekdays. You can only get 2 drinks per person during the weekdays and 1 drink per person during the weekends.) Drink flavors: Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Mochi- strong fragrant popcorn flavor, roasted sweet, buttery. This is a favorite for my mom Koan-Im Oolong milk tea- A more roasted oolong milk tea. I like it with the osmanthus jelly to make it more floral. This is a classic for my bro with their brown sugar mochi for a more sweet roasted flavor. Jasmine oolong milk tea- I wish it was a stronger Jasmine flavor. You can taste some oolong. This might have been more milky as a one off but the tea flavor wasn’t as strong as I was hoping. Crème Brûlée milk with brown sugar mochi- It’s pretty much self explanatory. The perfect sweet is still sweet without making your teeth ache too much imo. If you’re not a sweet person or you want something with tea, I would not get it. Husband likes this (he normally wants the brown sugar milk tea with boba full sweet at most places) but thinks he might prefer the extra sweet. Misty oolong- More basic oolong milk tea good with the brown sugar mochi. More oolong than the Jasmine Oolong Osmanthus citrus refresher with osmanthus jelly- Refreshing and light, the jelly is sweeter than the drink. I would personally consider getting extra sweet but that would probably make it more lemonade than an osmanthus refresher so feel free to disregard. Others like it as the perfect sweetness since the jelly adds to the drinks overall sweetness. Calamansi Oolong Twist- Good oolong tea mixed with calamansi ?syrup. Refreshing but not too sweet flavor. It’s more tart than the osmanthus refresher. I like adding osmanthus jelly for extra sweetness and a floral flavor. Probably wouldn’t go with the brown sugar mochi for this one as it would overpower the tea. (No milk)
They have a waitlist to go inside and order. I waited around 10 mins which is not too bad. I ordered matcha eispanner, it was very tasty and the cream blended well with the matcha. They have samples you can try and on that day they have chrysanthemum tea. It was refreshing and might order that next time. They have uncommon drinks which really piques your interest so go ahead and try it!
I recently visited ToroTea and was truly impressed! The variety of teas available is fantastic, each with its unique flavor and health benefits. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, recommending the perfect matcha blend for my taste. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet moment alone. I appreciate their commitment to sustainability and using high-quality, organic ingredients. Definitely a five-star experience and I can't wait to return!
I was inspired by the owner’s story and know this is not “just another tea shop”; in fact this is far from it. Walking into the shop felt like walking into a primitive and cozy cave. Although not a big space, it felt warm, inviting and peaceful. This shop was well staffed and the staff were very friendly and enthusiastic about the variety of tea that they offer. I started with a simple jasmine oolong tea and was so pleasantly surprised by the aroma of the tea; definitely a stark contrast from my previous milk tea experiences which rarely hit my olfactory nerve. I went on to try several others including creme brulee, mulberry & matcha which all unique in its flavor and texture. I definitely loved sharing the cream brulee with my 5 yrs. The staff offered us a variety of mochi and jelly samples; they were chewy, flavorful and without any weird aftertaste. Later I was thrilled to find out there were no artificial color or flavor added. I am glad to see a teashop which offers quality and authentic ingredients and can’t wait to try more tea!
So if you are looking for really good tea that makes you feel good go to this place . You can tell they really into their craft and take pride in their products. All staff are knowledgeable excited to serve you . They use sugar cane sugar their jelly is from Taiwan so delicious so much better than bobas . I don’t hate bobas but these jellies are delicious to chew on . I like refresher drinks used to be fan of Starbucks but I felt every time I drink them they are so sugar high or very caffeinated. Torotea’s refresher citrusy drinks are so refreshing I like the citrus and mulberry one it has few chunks of real mulberry which was nice surprise. The sweetness is just perfect. I am hoping they will have pickup Doordash soon otherwise it’s so good I don’t mind standing in line . Starbucks canceled.
They dont have boba , but they do have good jelly taste good( tea jelly, brown sugar jelly etc) I was worry the popcorn milktea will be too sweet, but its actually really good! Not too sweet, and smells very good, my friend like it too! Other Asmas tea us refreshing and good too. The shops also is also cozy and pretty, have few seating. Servers are friendly, they bring out the togo drinks for me
This is hands down currently my favorite tea shop in Los Angeles!!! So far, I’ve tried the following drinks and have LOVED all of them. Everyone is super helpful and friendly. Service is excellent. The wait on a weekend can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Cannot wait to go back soon to try more drinks on the menu!!! Manor Milk Tea, Perfect Ice, Perfect Sugar, Black Tea Tapioca Mochi Jasmine Oolong Ice Tea, Perfect Ice, Perfect Sugar, Osmanthus Jelly Misty Oolong Ice Tea, Perfect Ice, Perfect Sugar, Osmanthus Jelly Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapioca Mochi, Perfect Ice, Perfect Sugar Black Tea Tapioca Mochi
Cute little shop with friendly employees. I was wary of trying the popcorn milk tea but it was quite good. Just tastes roasted not like actual popcorn. “Perfect sweet” level is actually perfect, very light.
Its not that often that such a good milk tea place opens these days that are not chains. Only a matter of time before everyone hears about this place. Definitely one of the best quality milk tea I have ever had, if not the best. I love boba, and this place only has jelly and I will come here despite that. Only issues, the place is small so no place to sit and drink. The other, can't order ahead of time but maybe they will add that soon.
This sweet little tea shop is everything tea lovers dreamed of! The tea flavors are unique and have the perfect amount of subtle sweetness! The neutral decor brings an ambience of comfort and coziness for everyone. The moment you walk-in you are greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are so helpful with recommendations and suggestions if you have questions! The straws!! Omg, two different sized straws to match your preference! The work is in the detail and the tea quality at Torotea does not disappoint! A note to 1st timers: Do not be discouraged by the lines! They move very fast and are worth every minute. Many standing in line are returning customers and proves the wait is worth it! Remember this; tea leaves grow very slow in nature. They are steeped slowly in the kitchen to brew the perfect flavor. I hope your Tortotea experience slows you down and reminds you to be calm as each sip brings you closer to nature 🤍 Teas in photo below- *Mulberry oolong with osmanthus jelly (don’t skip this unique jelly!) *Matcha Einspanner (pure art!)
Look, the drinks are definitely good. You can taste the quality in each one (trust me, my group got four of them). The matcha einspanner was delicious. My family loved that their drinks were not too sweet. If you are coming here (especially on a weekend), be ready to wait because I've tried coming here three separate times, and this third time, I finally found the time to wait in line. They have a virtual queue, which is definitely better than a huge line out the door in the blazing heat.
Torotea has now set the bar for milk tea and elevated the whole experience to new heights. I have never been more blown away by milk tea. Service is excellent, and they've now implemented a waitlist system so you don't have to wait uncomfortably in line. The drinks are unique and made very well. I've tried the jasmine oolong milk tea and the misty oolong milk tea. The teas were brewed well and had the perfect sweetness and creaminess. But the star of the show in my opinion is their tapioca mochi topping. The texture is slightly chewy yet QQ with a hint of sweetness (it doesn't taste like it's been bathing in syrup all day). Torotea is a must-visit for boba lovers and worth driving out of the way to try this gem of a shop.
Be prepared for a wait during peak hours and weekends. Online ordering is available during the week. All the drinks are perfectly done and not too sweet.
I got the Popcorn Milk Tea today, and it was amazing! I loved the subtle flavor of the brown sugar tapioca mochi - and of course the texture was perfect. The sweetness was just right too. The standard sweetness is not like most other places where it is a sugar bomb. And had some sips of the Roasted Barley Ice Tea and Osmanthus Citrus Refresher and they were just as enjoyable. The line moves in groups, so it is well managed and not too long, even though it looked like many people were in line. The staff were also friendly and attentive. The decor was super cute and relaxing. Definitely will have to come back and try the rest of the menu. No issues with the parking either.
Ordered the Roasted Barley Ice Tea with Black Tea Tapioca Mochi. This was a refreshing cold drink with the default "perfect ice" and "perfect sugar". The barley taste is distinct but not bitter or distasteful. The black tea tapioca mochi are nice bite-sized toppings that add a slight sweetness to the drink. This location recently opened so there was a line even on a summer weeknight just before closing. Please stay within the marked line areas in line because they do not want to disrupt neighboring businesses in this plaza. Parking here is accessible with sufficient space.
Torotea is easily one of the best boba drink spots I’ve experienced in the USA. The tea was exceptional, and the unique jelly added a delightful twist to the drinks. I also loved the vibe and atmosphere inside—it’s a great place to relax and enjoy your drink. The only downside was the long wait; I ended up waiting about an hour. Also, there’s a limit of two drinks per person, but both of the drinks I got were fantastic—perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Despite the wait, it’s definitely worth it for such a quality experience!
I’ve visited ToroTea 3 times within a week because my first visit left a wonderful impression. I’m not from the area, but willing to drive for good quality tea. If you’re tired of the typical boba tea shops that are filled with artificial flavorings/powders, unhealthy syrups and fluff that mask the poor quality tea flavor, then you will be in for a treat at ToroTea. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the beautiful minimalistic aesthetic. Everything was artfully arranged, and being a creative, that truly speaks to my heart. I was greeted by cheerful staff that were knowledgeable about the selections they offer. I’m an indecisive person and like to know all my options 😅. They told me the tea is all imported and custom-selected from Taiwan. Although they don’t carry “boba” here, they make all their jelly-like mochi chewies from scratch daily, and naturally flavor them with teas and natural sweeteners. The moment of truth was when I received my first drink: the jasmine oolong with osmanthus jelly. Since I prefer less sugar in my drinks, I ordered “less sweet”, even though they told me their “perfect sweet” is not as sweet as your traditional tea shop. It was perfectly sweetened to my liking and I could taste the floral, slightly woody flavor of the jasmine oolong. There was no bitter aftertaste, and the chewy osmanthus jelly added an additional layer of floral that I really enjoyed. This first drink has become my favorite out of the others that I tried, which were all tasty but different in flavor profile. I ordered my husband the Zesty Oolong with assam black tea jelly, which had a nice, refreshing hint of citrus. The tea jelly further enhanced the flavors. He is selective with his tea drinks and was really impressed when I brought it home, even though it was an hour after the drink was made. Some other drinks we have tried and really enjoyed was the Koan-Im milk tea. Another friend compared it to the Metal Buddha milk tea from Orobae in Irvine (which has been closed and we were really bummed about, but now we found a better option without the crazy lines!). I’m sensitive to lactose and milk protein, but didn’t have any issues with their milk teas. When I met Amery, who is the owner, she mentioned that they use high quality creamers from Ireland. She shared how she is passionate about high-quality teas and has been doing all the research to ensure each drink has been thoughtfully crafted, and it shows. She was very open to honest feedback, which I really appreciated. I’ve shared ToroTea with several of my friends and family, and those who have tried their teas have been hooked. My kids also love it, especially their jellies! If you’re thinking about coming here, give it a chance and you might find yourself appreciating the art of tea, and coming back for more.
The most popular one is the popcorn mill tea and it is very good! I also love their boba since they are not similar to the regular boba from other stores (more like jelly) but I really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!
Torotea is now my local favorite in Diamond Bar! I love that each drink is handcrafted from scratch daily and each time I’ve visited the quality has been consistent. I’ve enjoyed all the drinks I’ve tried so far. My current favorites include: Koan-Im Oolong Milk Tea w/Brown sugar tapiochi and vanilla cloud and Mulberry Oolong w/ Osmanthus Jelly.
There is not too many dairy free options for their creations but the mulberry tea was delicious. I LOVE the tapiochi. Very creative menu and theme.
This is a old review but I have severe IBS and I can't drink any caffeinated drinks. Yes it's rough but I'm happy that toro teas has some drinks that I love and was able to try them. My favorite is their cassia tea with the osmanthus jelly. The drink itself is super creamy and rich and it not too sweet . I highly recommended their jelly because it's the same texture in Taiwan where I would order boba. It's not jelly but more chewier and softer. Somehow every time I would get a stomach and turns out cassia has a natural laxative property. Maybe it's only me but their citrus soda is good too. The lines are packed!!! Beware ⚠️
Torotea is super popular and often requires signing up for a 40+ min waitlist, as crowds venture here to experience an off the charts “QQ.” I think the wait is actually worth it. Here, conventional boba pearls are replaced by handcrafted tapioca cubes with the consistency of mochi. While the cubes are enough to be a dessert on their own, the famous Popcorn tea provides buttery, caramelized flavor notes reminiscent of kettle corn, complementing the tapiochi’s texture and subtle sweetness. Altogether, the effect was incredible..
Nice little vibe when you need a Boba! The staff definitely have been hired by a good owner as they are all super in it and friendly; really adding to the atmosphere.
To be honest, this is the most unique and BEST TOPPING & TEA store. It’s incredibly refreshing, light, and flavorful without being too sweet or heavy. Their seasonal drinks are so good like the bamboo jade oolong milk tea is my favorite milk tea. I especially love their tapioca Mochi. It’s slightly chewy, but not too much, and it doesn’t harden like boba after a while. I even tried leaving it in the fridge for a few days without ice, and it was still great. The topping still had a nice texture. I recommend going on weekdays because the wait usually doesn’t exceed 30 minutes. Definitely join their Yelp waitlist online before you get there on the weekend, I like that I don’t have to stand in a physical line in the heat or cold anymore. Personally, I like to get 2 drinks just for myself so that I don’t have to come everyday. 😂 I’ve never been to a tea shop this many times consecutively for months. Highly recommend trying it out!
One of my favorite boba spots in all of SoCal. They have a yelp waitlist (you need to get on the list before you can go inside to order) but if you go on a weekday afternoon, it’s possible there’s no wait (that’s what my sister and I did when we visited). They had the uva black tea samples to try and the tea was crisp and refreshing. The team members were helpful in providing suggestions. You can customize the sweetness amount as well as the ice level. So far, I’ve tried the popcorn milk tea, uva black tea, Kalamansi tea, and the jasmine oolong. They have jelly’s rather than traditional balls; all of them are perfectly chewy and tasty, so you really can’t go wrong. There’s limited seating inside so most people opted to-go. There is a free parking lot. Credit cards accepted.
Finally checked out Torotea—and it was worth it! We used the waitlist and got in pretty fast, even for a Sunday morning around 11:30. The shop is super cute and cozy, with some nice seating spots if you want to chill with a friend
Nice cool aesthetic boba shop that does take a while for it to make, but its because its a nice craft Now and more locations but this location it may take up to 1 hr time if its popping. Overall great unique drinks, service is good, they let you sample, and adjust ice and sweetness We got the popcorn milktea with boba which was so good. Overall definitely would come back but try to come not alone as waiting might be boring
The wait is long, but very manageable. You can place yourself on the waitlist via Yelp from anywhere. You’ll get a text when it’s your time to enter the store. The parking lot is quite limited, so I would try to arrive once you’re like ~15th on the waitlist. Once inside, the process is relatively quick, from ordering to receiving your drink. The store has a clean and modern aesthetic, very nice vibes. Samples are available, and the staff also explains their teas well. We got the Popcorn Milk Tea and the Ember Milk Tea. Even through the Popcorn Milk Tea was the signature, I liked the Ember Milk Tea better. The Ember is a mix of oolong and barley tea. It has a strong roasted flavor that perfectly complements the creaminess and sweetness of the tea. The roasted barley jelly is also delicious. The Popcorn Milk Tea is pretty good too - I think it tastes more like a wafer ice cream cone rather than popcorn. I still like it though. And the brown sugar mochi is sweet, so it goes well with it. Actually, we liked Torotea so much that we came back the next day. This time, we got the Matcha Einspanner and the Pinewood Milk Tea. If you go right now, they might still be giving out samples of the Pinewood Milk Tea. I really liked it. The Matcha Einspanner was also good. I would pass on the straw for this - you get a better ratio of vanilla cloud to latte if you sip through the lid. I probably wouldn’t get matcha here again though because their other teas are just so much better.
This may be my new favorite tea shop in all of Southern California. I got there on a Sunday afternoon and had to join the virtual queue which took about an hour. They're very upfront about this so there's no long line waiting in front of the store. I got the creme brulee milk and the Jasmine milk tea with osmanthus jelly and both the drinks were absolutely delicious. Their default ice and and sugar levels are is perfect ice, which is less ice, and the drinks were automatically ✨not too sweet✨. The creme brulee milk was my favorite out of the two I got. It had a nice thick custardy topping with a bruleed sugar crust on top. The milk goes perfectly sweetened and the brown sugar Mochi squares were exactly as they are described. They are soft, deliciously mochi tasting, with Brown sugar flavor shining through. Every favor worked so well together ..in harmony with one another. The custard flavor was unique, I've never had a flavor quite like it before. The Jasmine milk tea with osmanthus jelly (+0.50) was nice floral notes and the jellys had a nice bite. All in all I'm definitely coming back here again! I highly recommend :)
Little cute tea store in 💎 bar and it's precious just like a 💎 😁 drinks are so good, the store decoration is so simple yet elegant. Kay- the staff was nice and helpful. The only thing I wish to be different is the music, rave songs does not match the store's vibe well. Other than that I love this tea store and will come back to try other drinks. Highly recommend misty oolong tea with Himalayan salt cloud ❤
On a busy day, be prepared to wait 30+ for your chance to get in! However I'm happy to say this tea house lives up to its wait time. Inside is pretty small, a small area for socializing but it's not a big sit down tea spot. I love the colors inside though and the idea to use a projected menu onto the blank wall is super cool. In terms of variety it's definitely not as much as some other places but Im led to believe their quality increased with the shorter menu. The matcha einspanner was light, foamy, had a great and rich taste too. I also got to try their creme brûlée drink, which at first was interesting but the more I sipped on it the taste grew on me. Definitely another recommendation to try. The staff were super helpful in picking things out and are great to talk to!

The only thing I wish to be different is the music, rave songs does not match the store's vibe well. Other than that I love this tea store and will come back to try other drinks. Highly recommend misty oolong tea with Himalayan salt cloud ❤
Got the popcorn milk tea and mulberry oolong after over 30 minutes wait. They were okay, not bad but definitely not the best ingredients nor worth the wait. I do think the chewies were pretty good. I’m not a big boba fan so that’s a good substitute! They don’t have milk substitutes. Service was decent and I do appreciate that they offer spa water for people waiting outside. Won’t be coming back due to the wait and mediocre quality. Love the atmosphere and design though!
Innovative tea drinks with a twist. Got the creme brulee cloud with my roasted Oolong milk tea with brown sugar tapiochi, a cross between tapioca pearls and mochi. It's more tender than the Boba.
I love the ambiance here at Torotea! The way everything is set up feels so aesthetic and appealing. For my order, I tried their popcorn milk tea with brown sugar tapioca mochi. it was pretty good! There’s a strong popcorn aroma when you sip it, but the milk tea itself isn’t as strong as I would prefer. The highlight of the drink, though, is definitely the brown sugar tapioca mochi! So soft and chewy :) I would love to comeback to try their other drinks as well.

Very aesthetic with a unique concept, but not your traditional boba experience. If you’re someone who loves the chewy texture of boba, you won’t find that here. Their jellies are softer and more reminiscent of grass jelly, but in different flavors. They have a nice selection of teas, but the actual tea flavor was pretty mild and tasted a bit watered down to me. That said, the shop itself and the drink presentation are beautiful. I really wanted to like this place since it came highly recommended to me, but it was hard to justify the wait. It took me three visits just to finally get drinks. They close the waitlist early, only allow a set number of people inside, and you can only get 2 drinks per person. It’s a different kind of experience, just not one for me. When I’m craving boba, I want the QQ texture and a quicker turnaround, so I’ll most likely opt for other spots in the future.
The lines and wait have made this place so unappealing. I have tried over 4 times to return but the lines are so long. They do not take orders after 8pm so unsure why they advertise 8:30 closing time. Tea is good but not enough to wait in those ridiculous lines. Staff is friendly in the very insincere way which is a bit unsettling. Honestly if the line is out the door I do not recommend the wait as it's not worth it. Just go to one of the many other nearby boba/coffee/tea shops. Last Review: Visited during their soft opening. Tea is unique and flavorful. The quality is palatable and you can tell the effort that was placed in creating this little shop. Recommend if you are in the area if you are looking for tea that is not too sweet and refreshing. Their jellies also really tie their drinks together.
Drink wise is more of a 3.5-4 HOWEVER you need to pay for a fee for ordering it online . This is ridiculous! Adding to the non-sense online fee, here are my honest feedback although i laugh out loud of the “not so smart and friendly” fee they charge. While this place is all hyped up by many people but sorry, as a milk tea and boba tea lover, this place does not live up to its hype. Anyone who waits more than half an hour for it, are you just liking it or just for the hype of it...the reason is because their drinks are not worthy of a half an hour wait. Dont get me wrong, their drinks are decent and their popcorn milk tea does have a unique taste HOWEVER Again, i emphasized, it does not worth the wait and its hyped up to a point its overrated. Alot of people are amazed on their jelly...uhhh they are not the first store that does it so its not a new thing. But again, honest feedback, 4 stars for drink. 3 stars for other stuffs. Less than half an hour, sure ill come back occasionally and get it because their drinks are better than most places. The rating for inside is the worst. People all cramped up inside and lined up outside. Makes people want to leave. Their queue system is bad also. So this is just a normal hype up boba store that doesn’t deserve long lines. 4 star the most.

This place is more about displaying your class status than actually enjoying tea. Considering the price mark-up, it's quite insulting that the drink size is smaller than what is standard in the field. The tea and topping options are severely limited and despite the promises of premium quality, the taste of the tea is the same as that of other cheaper places. The location has several issues of accessibility. Thankfully the day I went it was empty so I could take my time. But the menu was projected in a screen with bad lighting and everything looked blurry and small, not even with my glasses could I see what it said. It wasn't until I noticed the singular paper menu hidden to the side of the counter that I could figure out my order. In addition all the siting is quite bare. Anyone using a wheelchair or with active back problems would have a hard time in this place. None of the siting has back support and there isn't any space for a wheelchair.
Went and ordered one of their signature drink, popcorn milk tea thinking that it's a safe bet, but it was not. The drink was so watered down, barely tasted the signature popcorn taste. Very inconsistent with their quality, even on their signature drinks! My advice to you is to always try your drink before you leave, so if anything doesn't taste right, you can ask them to fix to re-make right there and then. Don't be like me, spent over $8 on a fancy milk tea that taste like water.
