Fantastic evening was had here recently. The restaurant is full of mexican-themed decoration and a very lively atmosphere. Service staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Onto the food; you are advised to order a minimum of three dishes as to make the most of the tapas-style experience. Each dish was full of flavour and spice, with freshly prepared meats and dipping sauces. The cocktails topped the night off; so strong that two glasses of the Dublin Tommy was enough to justify the taxi ride home. Very enjoyable night here felt by all members of my party. Will definitely be returning here soon to explore more of this exciting menu

Went there for a midweek date☺️ Food is so tasty, cocktails are amazing 😍 Very affordable. Dessert also fantastic. Decor is so beautiful and atmosphere is great and staff do friendly and helpful.

Hungry in Drogheda and this place was rated high on google. Upon reaching restaurant was very impressed with the style of the place. Very friendly staff and the taste of the food was absolutely incredible, looking forward to going back

We went for dinner,l with our friends, we tried pretty much everything and it was flawless. The food is so flavoured and fresh, cooked really well, so tasty! Highly recommended this restaurant, service was amazing as well.

Two years ago, Gringo’s in Drogheda didn’t leave much of an impression for us. The food was fine, but not memorable. Tonight, though, was a completely different story in the best way possible. We were lucky enough to win a voucher over Christmas and this is what brought us back. Absolutely everything we ordered was incredible (WE HAD 11 DISHES!🤣). Each dish was packed with flavor and clearly made with care, so much so that we reorder some of the same dishes and we honestly couldn’t stop talking about how good it all was. It feels like the kitchen has truly found its stride. We can’t speak highly enough of the experience and the amazing staff. Gringo’s has turned into a place we’re genuinely excited to come back to, and it’s well worth a visit now. We were planning our next visit before we had even left the building! Food was full of flavour and made with super fresh ingredients. Excellent margaritas, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Only small complaint was the kids meal was very small, we ended up ordering 2 for our 7 year old as he had the first one finished in a couple of minutes!

Really enjoyed our food at Gringos! The drinks are amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The only downside was one dish the nachos, it needs more nachos. They were really good, so there essential for scoop up all the delicious toppings/sauces. 😋🙌 Overall, a great spot and definitely a repeat customer.

I had the best food experience there yesterday. From the minute you walk in and get greeted by the host (who was very kind to get us seated without a booking), to friendly staff all throughout, and the food was fabulous. To top it all off cocktails were impeccable 👌. This was probably the nicest dinner experience I had in Ireland! Highly reccomend!

Great food. Super service. Paola was attentive, helpful and friendly. A top class waitress who helped us choose appropriate dishes. The buffalo tacos were amazing! As we're the margaritas!

I was very impressed first time coming to this establishment. the service was amazing, the vibes were brilliant and the food and drinks were probably the nicest I’ve had in a long time. Fer was the lovely woman who was serving us tonight for my mates birthday and she was amazing at her job, also have to say every other staff member was very welcoming and will definitely be coming back to gringos.

Wow first time here and what a spot. Google needs to add more stars for this place alone. As soon as we walked into the place it was a low light warm atmosphere. The gent at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. He made us feed right at home by engaging in good conversation on our way to the table. Staff were amazing friendly and not forced friendly just naturally nice to deal with.they had a lot of knowledge of the menu and helped us decide what we would like and suit our palette. Food was very reasonable priced. And amazing. Deserts were good size as was the mains and starters. Just a beautiful all round pleasant place to be. 10 out of 10 .xxx

Service was amazing, and the food was beautiful. Barbacoa tacos, jalepeno Bon bons, and Birria quesadilla were delicious. Great margaritas to complement the meal. Would love to see horchatas on the menu!

I was here for the first time lastnight with two friends and I will definitely be back! I enjoyed it so much that I felt the need to add a review. Food was fabulous- Chicken nachos and birria quesidillas were so tasty! Strawberry margaritas were also so good. My friend had great vegan options. Service was outstanding. Love the decor and the atmosphere was great. Delighted to have it on my doorstep. Thank you Gringos 😊

Fantastic place. Have come here so much. Staff are knowledgeable about the various plates and drinks. No complaints. Latest visit we were looked after by Maria who kept us topped on drinks while we ate wings and birria quesadillas. Perfect

This is a fantastic restaurant, cocktail bar, party venue. I had my 50th Birthday Party here and it was fab atmosphere, variety of food, service 5 star. It's a great restaurant for all occasions casual family dinner or party they cater for all occasions. I just loved the night staff where amazing. Thankyou for making it great !

We went on the wensday they happened to have a 3 plate tapas deal which i love set menu pricing makes me feel more comfortable to get drinks and not worry about the price we even ordered a picher of margirittas which was so worth it. The winter early darkness was realy broken up by the joy of the space neon lighting warm atmosphere. The heat from the beef bishes helped clear my head and let me enjoy my evening we forgot all the stress from our train journey. My parents live close and i look forward to future visits.

Fabulous experience. The atmosphere in the place is unmatched by any restaurant. The food was top quality and the strawberry margaritas were extremely ‘moreish’! The food was spicy but the quality was top! Will be back and would highly recommend.

I phoned to book a table for two with only over an hour's notice. They were fully booked but managed to squeeze us in. Glad they did as the food here is really good. Proper Mexican food. The menu isn't huge which I think is better. Still plenty to suit most pallets.The staff were very nice and helpful. Portion sizes are just about right. It was our first time to visit and will return for sure.

A beautiful place, delicious food. Some dishes are spicy, so it's better to ask the staff before ordering. Pleasant atmosphere, everything is wonderful.

Maria, Paula and Katie were amazing servers and made our evening really enjoyable. We cannot wait to come back in two weeks time to celebrate a birthday. Highly recommend for date nights and celebrations, fantastic atmosphere and service. The food was so good, the only negative was trying to stop ourselves from eating.

The food and atmosphere was amazing. It was our first time here and the range of tapas style Mexican dishes was a feast for the taste buds. Paola our waitress was fabulous! So welcoming, fun and full of positive energy. Her recommendations on food and drink were spot on. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for tasty food and a great experience to come to Gringos. If you’re lucky enough to have Paola as a your server that’s an extra boost of sunshine! We will be back!

Been here several times however this time was very special. It was our first night out after having our daughter and the staff were all amazing as per usual! Always very personable, friendly and welcoming. 10 out of 10 for everything! Big shout out to Maria and Paula for making our first night out as mam and dad that extra bit special ❤️

I thought about this all night before posting this review as what happened when we were leaving was totally embarrassing, firstly the food and staff were amazing, however when we were leaving after paying the bill along with a generous tip, I was approached by what I think was the floor manager and questioned on whether we paid the bill, she then proceeded to interrogate me and went looking for our server. A few minutes passed before our server came down, who was lovely and she couldn't understand what the fuss was, her boss however had disappeared. The manager definitely needs a lesson in manners and I am strongly considering never returning. It was a damn shame as up till that point it was a lovely evening.

We had a wonderful experience here! The service was excellent, and Maria in particular was so helpful and friendly, which made us feel really welcome. The food was absolutely delicious, with a great range of tapas dishes to choose from. There were plenty of vegetarian options too, which was a big plus. The tapas style makes it ideal for sharing, and it’s easy to add on extra dishes if you’re still feeling hungry. Overall, a really enjoyable meal with great service and tasty food – highly recommended!

Just home from a fantastic meal here for my birthday. Possibly one of the best meals I've ever had. The staff, Paola in particular, were incredibly kind and welcoming. Paola took the time to walk us through the menu and give us recommendations. We left full and smiling. We will 100% be going back here whenever we can, especially for the jalapeño bon bons 🤤 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Don't liked how they serve the food, they brought one dish, after while another, and again need to wait ( bc not everyone got food), frist 2 dishes was cold already 😒 Atmosphere is really nice, staff friendly 🙂 BTW if you think mid spicy will be okay, think again 😁 bc food very spicy 😁

Called in for lunch today, lovely experience. The service was excellent and food delightful. We will be back.

lovely place, the host was very helpful when we were struggling with the online paying system. food is gorgeous and plenty of veggie/gf options because they mostly use corn tortillas. nachos are gorgeous but keep in mind the salsa is very spicy, still lovely though. the taquitos stole the show for me, chicken was lovely and moist. definitely try the house margaritas, definitely worth the price.

We’ve been to this restaurant before and always enjoyed the food, which is why this visit was so disappointing. While the food itself was nice, there has clearly been a change in the menu and, more importantly, the portion sizes, which no longer justify the prices. We spent (€85) for two people, ordered one drink each, and still left feeling hungry. We started with tacos at (€12) for two extremely small tacos, (€6) each for something so minuscule is very hard to justify. We then ordered the beef nachos (€13), which had only a tiny amount of beef and again did not warrant the price. Finally, we ordered the birria quesadilla at (€11) for one, which was also a very small portion for the cost. On previous visits, we left feeling full for roughly the same amount of money, but this time we were genuinely still hungry after the meal. The reduction in portion sizes combined with the current pricing offers very poor value for money. Overall, very disappointed with this experience. Unless portion sizes improve or prices are adjusted, I wouldn’t return.

It USED TO BE our favourite Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately prices went up and portions of food were shrinked. Food is still amazing same as service and atmosphere. Unfortunately it feels like I was ripped off. This restaurant became a place were you have to pay a lot of money for what you get. We will not go there again.
