I went to Proof Urban Italian with my friends to celebrate a birthday, and we had such a great time! The food was delicious and came out really quickly, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made sure everything went smoothly. Perfect spot for a fun night out—we’ll definitely be coming back!

My friends and I were looking for a nice place for a quick bite before the show in Vicar Street and this place was a really good choice. The service was quick with attentive staff, the food was out in 10min. Great choice of nonalcoholic options, I highly recommend the strawberry lemonade! I will be returning 😊

Traveling from the US, and this is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. We had a large party, and they were so accommodating and nice!! Espresso martini was out of this world. Everyone in my party cleaned their plate. No leftovers.

Beautiful place. Very aesthetically pleasing. The food arrived quickly and was full of flavour. Cocktaill menu is unique and adds some something different than the usual. I opted for a lime slush cocktail as I've never seen it on a menu before and it was delicious.

We were looking for a place to grab a bite or drink, and we decided to stop here because we loved the aesthetic. Luckily, the food quality matched the vibe! I have to highlight the pancakes with lemon curd—they brought them on a separate dish that kept them warm the whole time, while the lemon ice cream slowly melted on top. Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the avocado toast, which tasted like a pizza-bruschetta, the kind you could eat endlessly. Of course, he also had a piece of my pancake because it was incredible, and the portion was so generous that it kept us full for hours! The decor was amazing. The colors and design made it feel like we weren’t in Dublin for a moment. I loved the shades of pink, purple, and gold, even in the bathroom decor. The service was flawless. Everyone was so kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better.

Brought my girlfriend here for her birthday, got some lovely service from the staff especially Rael. They treated us to some lovely food and even gave us a desert on the house while singing happy birthday 🎂 despite the brief embarrassment we both had a great experience and would recommend thank you 👍🏼

Matheus and all the staff at proof were so friendly my husband and I went to proof three times on our honeymoon trip to Ireland. If you want authentic italian pasta this is the place to go!

It is a stunning place! We loved being in there 😍 The team was lovely, friendly, welcoming and super nice. Pizzas were delicious 🤤 I am not actually fond of thin crust pizza but it kinda changed my mind 🙈 Everything was so freshly made and the service was so fast, plus the place was spotless and well designed! It has a very cozy and cool ambiance, i can’t wait to come back! Thank you guys 💎

I recently visited Proof Urban Italian with a friend for drinks and dinner, and it was an amazing experience! I ordered the cannelloni, and it was absolutely delicious. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, complementing the dish perfectly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. Our waiters, Felipe and Mauricio, were incredibly helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the evening. Came on a Saturday night, absolutely loved it - the pizzas are DELICIOUS, and what an awesome surprise to have a proper vegan option on the menu, without cheese substitute! Loved it! :) Staff is super nice too.

During our stay, we spontaneously searched for a good Italian restaurant and found it here. The staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly when taking our orders. We ordered pizza (with extra garlic) and ravioli. Both were delicious. The price is reasonable for the location, and we can recommend the restaurant.

We reserved a table before a show in Vícar street. Some reviews weren’t great so didn’t know what to expect. We were stuck in traffic running so late and rang, they said no problem your table is there until 8. Our waitress Andrea was fantastic, suggested I taste the wine before deciding on a bottle. The food was gorgeous! My wife had arancini to start which was delicious and Italys hottest pizza which was fabulous… I had the cannelloni which was so tasty! Love the food and service! Will definitely be beck!!

Absolutely amazing experience! The pizza here is simply outstanding — perfectly baked, with a light and crispy crust, high-quality ingredients, and incredible flavor in every bite. You can really tell that a lot of care and passion goes into making each pizza. Easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Everything was quick, well organized, and done with a smile. Proof – Not sure what of, but hey… Firstly, the facilities are solid – clean, stylish, clearly popular (translation: book ahead or enjoy the fresh air). We didn’t book, so we embraced the alfresco life. It was lovely. No regrets. Food? A good menu – I recommend the salty focaccia to kick things off; it’s basically bread’s more exciting cousin. My pizza was fine. The lasagna? Also fine. Nothing wrong, just… not exactly stirring any sonnets. Service? Competent. Nobody dropped anything or scowled. Conclusion: I’d come again, but I never once thought, “Ah, so THIS is the proof!” – more “Yeah, that’ll do.

Small-ish portions but good price compared to other restaurants. If you’re not too hungry then this is a good place. The lasagna was very soupy but was still good 3.5/5. The cannelloni was very good as well even though there were only two tubes 4.5/5. I loved the amount of cheese on it. Service was fine, nothing special. Inside was decently big with a huge pizza oven and counter. There was a good amount of seating.

Food was good. I had the vegetarian pasta with aubergine and it was tasty and well seasoned. The fancy fries with parmesan and truffle oil were pretty good. The arancini was the highlight! Staff were friendly and service was fast. Nice decor and plenty of seating. Prices were good too.

A perfect date night eatery if you’re attending a show at Vicar Street. The starters was lovely and I really enjoyed The Liberties vegetarian pizza. Service was excellent, all waiters/waitresses were polite, friendly and attentive. Matheus was so lovely. A perfect, relaxed date night spot 🍴

The food was amazing. We tried the Rigatoni with bacon and mushrooms and Bacon leek risotto, both of them were spectacular. But I have to tell, the most incredible part of coming here was meeting Andrea, a very sweet, open and charming waitress who helped us choosing the dishes and was always so fast to come for help. I highly recommend your visit here for either lunch or dinner time.

Was here for dinner on Saturday night before going to a show in Vicar Street. Lovely food, staff and experience. Unfortunately, due to being short-staffed, the service was a bit on the slow side. That said, they acknowledged this and were very apologetic so have to give them credit for that. Would recommend, certainly for a pre-show bite. Shout out to our waiter, Matheus, who was very attentive. Thank you again.

We had a family brunch here as a large group of 12 and were very well looked after by Matheus. Food was very tasty and arrived promptly considering it was a big order, choices had been provided in advance. It's a lovely restaurant with an outside area for warmer weather. Toilet facilities were clean and well maintained. It would have been nice to have had perhaps more options for kids drinks like fruit shoots or apple juice and ice-cream for a dessert for them. Thank you very much to Matheus and other staff for being so attentive and patient with us as we had a few junior people who likely made the place a bit more rowdy than usual. We enjoyed it for a venue for our family reunion ahead of a visit to the Guinness brewery.

We had a lovely time at Proof - the staff were all kind, had a big smile on their face and were attentive. We interacted with 3 members of staff, though Louisa was our main waitress, and she made our evening delightful. The food was good, and the wine options were well thought-out to match the menu. The lights were a bit too bright for my personal prefence but overall the atmosphere was rather nice.

Cute little Italian, with great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food, sadly, was inconsistent - some dishes were great, while others were fairly disappointing. Maybe we just caught them in a bad day. We haven't tried the pizzas though - they seemed quite good, definitely worth a try

We ordered the menu, that we wanted to split between 2 people- 18.5 €. We specifically pointed to the menu and said that we want to share it. The server did not say that it is not possible to share the menu between 2 people. We found that out when we paid and asked why is the price different. The server THEN explained that it is not possible, which was too late- total scam bad servise.

Service was terrible. The guy with the moon tattoo was very friendly but everyone else wasn't great. Nobody came back to check on us. When we were brought our main courses, the plates were still on the table from the starter and the waitress implied for us to use our used forks. Not a big deal but I didn't want garlic mayo all over my pasta 🍝. I had to go in to make our second drinks order cause nobody did a check back. Dirty plates on our table for so long we ended up leaving instead of getting another drink. Empty tables behind us so it wasn't full full for a Wednesday. Also the bathroom was cute. I like the wallpaper and the toilet was pink. Probably wouldn't go back here but the vibes are cute.
