One of the coziest places in the city! Just compare it to, for example, The Church pub, where you meet the 'very kind' staff right at the door! But back to this pub: the bar's design is beautiful, sophisticated, and, compared to those other places, exceptionally clean! The venue's Christmas atmosphere is also unique! The food was delicious and flavorful! The staff was also nice! A slight criticism is that I think the coordination was lacking, and whoever happened to walk by would ask or bring something! But this is a minor detail! This place is practically a must-visit for everyone!
Fantastic place. We went here for dinner on a Monday evening and found it amazing. Food was good, service was excellent and entertainment was superb. 😁 Loved the music and the World Famous Murray dancers 🥳🤩 worth a visit. We also tried their drinks here and as all the rest it was worth a try. You could easily spend many hours here, just relaxing and enjoying your self.
Murray's is more than just a pub; it's an institution, and it has easily become my favorite spot in all of Dublin. I originally stumbled upon it back in 2018 while desperately looking for a place to catch a Patriots game, and I'm so glad I did—I could honestly go every single night! Returning to Murray's was a highlight of my most recent trip. The Music: Pure, Unforgettable Energy - The music here is what makes Murray's legendary. The atmosphere is electric, fueled by the talent and personality of the house musicians. Specifically, the two guys singing traditional Irish music are an absolute blast! Their energy is infectious, they pepper the set with great jokes, and they are masters at getting the crowd involved in sing-a-longs and cheers. While the dancers are perfectly fine, the Band is truly unforgettable and the star of the show. The entire experience at Murray's is perfection. It's exactly the warm, lively, and welcoming atmosphere you hope for in a classic Irish pub. The food is hearty and delicious—perfect pub fare to enjoy while taking in the tunes - it seemed to offer more variety than in 2018. The drinks are cold, the selection is great, and everything hits the spot. The servers are friendly, attentive, and really contribute to the overall happy, relaxed vibe of the place. If you are looking for genuine Irish hospitality, amazing live music, and a spot that feels like coming home, do yourself a favor and visit Murray's. It's the best!
Great atmosphere with Irish music. Irish dishes were great but the burgers were average which in all honesty I should have known. When Ireland and all that....
Another fantastic weekend in Dublin made extra special with the entertainment and atmosphere at Murray’s bar look forward to visiting again thank you extra thank you to Jon and staff who were so helpful Diolch 🏴 The Celtic gypsys were amazing plus the dancers
The venue is amazing, you have to rake a walk thru all the rooms and corridors. The whiskey bar its a must! Decent comfort food. Bit pricey. Irish Independence songs performed live.
Nicest pub I was in Dublin. Live music and dancing. Can be crowdy , so booking suggested. Liked much than temple bar.
The staff at our hotel recommended this place to us. So we decided to try it. The place is really nice inside and the food was very good. The staff here were friendly and our order was perfect . I will go to this place again next time I am in town.
Absolutely incredible experience! The food was bursting with flavor, we ordered both stews and the portions were very generous. Around 8 PM a live music show began, featuring amazing traditional Irish music that created such a vibrant atmosphere. Later, around 10 PM, we were treated to a fantastic Irish dance performance that was truly unforgettable. The service was also outstanding: fast, attentive, and every member of the staff was warm and friendly. I really recomendado this place
The atmosphere is amazing. You can really fill the festive spirit of an Irish pub. There is a musical show every day at 20:30 pm. The service is good and the food was nice.
We just got off the plane from Liverpool and headed straight into the city centreon the local bus, and Murray’s caught our eye right away with the Christmas lights and the warm, cosy atmosphere. Inside, the place was beautifully decorated and felt proper welcoming after travelling a long way and being up since 5am ! The food looked great and tasted even better. We had a Irish breakfast and I treated myself to an Irish coffee and my first ever Guinness in Ireland, sent my dad a picture of me drinking it haha, and both were really nice. Staff were friendly and made the whole experience just relaxing ! Had a really good time here, and we will be going back when we can ! Thanks for giving us such a first taste of Ireland and Dublin as we have never been here before ! And that Irish coffee was really tasty too ! 😁
Good pub. Nice atmosphere with traditionally dancers and singers. The staff members are kindly and friendly. Recommend for a night out
We randomly walked into Murray's while visiting Dublin on the last leg of our honeymoon. The pub side was nearly full but we found the last two bar seats available. The two man band heard it was our honeymoon and before we knew it the entire bar was signing Boston Rose. Jim and the other bar staff couldn't have been more welcoming as well as the local regulars we met! We had our last meal here and both ordered their stew which was delicious. The night ended with another live band and Irish step dancers. Thanks again to Jim and the rest of the Murray's staff! ☘️
If u like a very cozy bar with amazing food and atmossphere this is the place to go. The service is fabulous! especially Andres, very heartwarming man<3
Popped into Murray’s Pub to shelter from the lashing rain after a show on Tuesday night and had a fantastic time. The cosy, beautiful decor and warm, fun pub vibe made it a perfect spot for a meal and a chat. Everyone working there was really welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The live band brought brilliant energy with great Irish music. The fish and chips were fresh and delicious, and the apple pie was the perfect finish. Left feeling happy and relaxed. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Dublin!
Once again another fantastic visit to murrays bar, always a friendly and warm welcome. One of our favourite pubs in Dublin, without a doubt.
Beautiful pub, barstaff very friendly, accommodating & professional, will definitely visit again.
Is a good place, food and drinks, reasonable prices, Irish musicians make much better the experiencia, it was pleasant
The atmosphere at Murray's was amazing! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome and at home. The food was great, our pizza was just slightly burnt but the staff more than made up for it! There were Celtic Gypsy band and Celtic dancers as well, and the crowd sang along with them! It's definitely worth a visit or two!
Discovered this place when we stopped for breakfast on our way to the airport. Wish we'd found it sooner. Was really cosy, and breakfast was lovely!
Great service, lovely food and just an experience to go into a really great place
We randomly came to Murray's to eat. And I'm glad we did. The atmosphere was great and the staff attentive. All three of us got the Fish & Chips. The plank was fried perfectly with the batter a nice golden brown. The plank came on a bed of mashed peas which I found to be a nice combination. We would easily go back to Murray's to eat, drink, or both. It's North of the river and away from the craziness of the Temple Bar Area. Stop scrolling and just go.
We went to this lovely place for dinner. I’d advise to book a little bit in advance as it gets full quickly. The rooms are very traditional and beautiful the atmosphere is really nice, it’s not too noisy, we can hear the band play, the seats are confortable, the toilets are very clean. The food arrived quickly, it was delicious, very filling and not that expensive. The fries are really incredibly good. The service was perfect, all very nice and smiling, they paid attention to my allergies and had no problem replacing the mashed potatoes with fries. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a good evening with music and great food, would recommend it anytime
Visit as tourist: Great pub/bar to visit in Dublin. Had the chance to have lunch (15:00) and dinner with live music(20:00). Both occasions were great. The Menu is different for lunch and dinner. The live music in the evening was awesome with a very cool band on stage. Food was decent with higher prices in the dinner Menu. I found a slight difference of prices between the Menu during the day compared with the menu offered during the evening. The environment is great and the pub is very big offering 2 levels. Definitely worth visiting this pub is great to see the bar and their whiskey collection.
Great time here on our first night of arrival. Grabbed some beers, somw food and watched plenty of sports. Good times!
Very good for breakfast, with free coffee refills. Good atmosphere and wasn't too busy on a Saturday morning.
Absolutely great experience! Cozy Dublin’s restaurant with delicious dishes, great Irish atmosphere!
Great authentic place; irish meals, irish live music, on saturdays even irish dance. Very friendly staff.
This is an amazing place to watch sports. We were lucky to be here during Uefa Champions League games and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Lots of people good food large selection of beers and great customer service. We strongly recommend if you’re visiting during important games and you want to get a table you must get there early enough otherwise you will not be able to secure a table. They have a lot of giant TV screens, a patio area plus plenty of bars we couldn’t help to notice That if you order seven beers, they will serve them to you on there on original glass. We definitely had a great time for more tips on trips, food, bars, and restaurants follow us on our social media, including YouTube ⤵️ AVENTURASCONLOSPAIZ
I am a tour guide and came here with 27 people last month. We had the chicken casserole and chocolate brownie. The food was amazing and very flavoursome. The staff were friendly and really treated us well. The guests throughly enjoyed their experience here. The atmosphere, location etc! You must give it a go!!
Sat down for a Guiness and late lunch today. Bellied up to the bar to listen to some banter from the bartenders and locals and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing ham and cheese toastie with soup. Honestly best sandwich I’ve had in years. Staff was terrific and atmosphere even at quieter time was good. Highly recommend.
My wife and myself spent a couple of evenings there. Staff were fantastic and full of crac. Music was meaningful and irish dancing brilliant. Food was amazing, All round superb. Definitely worth a visit
What a way to top off our final night in Dublin! The staff were incredibly accommodating with my wheelchair and made us feel so welcome. The food was great, the entertainment was top-tier, and they even gave us a lovely well-wish for our new marriage. A brilliant, inclusive atmosphere that we really enjoyed.
Classic Irish food and atmosphere. Server Andres seemed to know what we wanted for dinner better than we did. Very polite in his wise offerings and his suggestion was perfect. Beef guinness prepared by wonderful chef. Gorgeous interior to dine in. Easy location on main O'Connell street too.
Delighted we found this bar. We went for evening meal, with a toddler, mid week. The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff, (the male front of house in particular), were fantastic and accommodating with our toddler. Great experience, really happy to have visited.
Up the stairs to the sports bar and first impressions are met with a roomy, impressive area. Televisions as expected, are everywhere. Every view has a T.V. in it. Just as it should be. There's even room for a pool table, which is very busy. The welcome is friendly. There is a large variety of beers, lager and cider on offer. Every spirit you can think of, then some, is available. Ancient bottles of Irish whisky adorn the walls on shelves behind protective screens. These guys are Guinness connoisseur. It is poured to exacting standards. It is ready when it is ready. Not in a hurry so you wait. The wait is well worth it. It is on a par with the Guinness we had at St. James's Gate. The price is better than other establishments we had visited. Murray's get a big thumbs up from me. A pleasurable visit.
Touristy place but very nice atmosphere with trad Irish music piped in and I believe live later in the day. My Irish stew was delicious but a smaller portion than most other places and 22€+. Sister had the daily roast, which was turkey, and a beautiful slice and very tender. Not really a bap as advertised but more just a roll and turkey sandwich. Service was good on this slow afternoon so our food came out super fast. Irish coffee was yummy.
Lovely bar on o,connell st. Music and dancing every night i belive. Booked a table for 8 and, staff handled the big table with grace. Recommend
Great love Irish music but the 10pm Irish dancers was the best. Nice surprise
I saw this place and decided to try it. Not bad. Very American. Chicken wings were good. The taco fries were so good. The portion sizes were pretty big so I had enough food for two people. The Strawberry Daiquiri pitcher wasn’t strong but it did definitely had a nice flavor.
What a beautiful restaurant. Several floors and differing spaces to accommodate all parties and guests. The first floor was booked as it has live music there, so we went upstairs to the Sports Bar. Worked out fine as they have the same menu. The food was very good. We had fried Brie, wings and pizza. All were delicious and came out fast. The table and bar service was a little slow and off, but it didn’t ruin our time. Very impressed with the space and the decor. We highly recommend this spot, located by several key Dublin attractions.
Great pub in the heart of Dublin. Such a nice atmosphere. The walls were decorated with glass shelves full. alcohol bottles. The service was great. We were seated within five minutes of arriving. The food was OK. I had seafood chowder. It was pretty good and loaded with seafood, some pieces too large and I had to cut them up first. We also ordered chicken wings. I never seen such tiny skinny chicken wings before. The drinks were very good and looked very appetizing in the glasses they were served in. It was a nice experience. I recommend Murray’s pub
Nice enough pub. I went upstairs, it's a large sports bar. Loads of tv's. Pool table area. You can get food upstairs as well as downstairs. It's ok for a drop in and a few beers. Guinees and a large wine just over 16 euro.
Was in Dublin city centre early, popped in here for a mini breakfast. Breakfast was ok, albeit served on a cold plate. This is a pet hate of mine, hot food should be served on a warmed plate. I requested, and got, extra bacon, no sausage, but it all seemed very small breakfast for the price. On the plus side, big pot of tea, which was great. Servers were very attentive and quick, so no complaints there.
We stopped at this pub on two occasions for a nightcap as it was close to our hotel. The bar part of the pub is really great, with friendly and attentive staff, good vibe and live Irish music in the evenings. On our last day we also decided to have a late lunch at this pub, prior to leaving for the airport. I do regret this decision and not having read the reviews on food beforehand. The restaurant part of the pub is beautiful actually, so nicely decorated, but the food was below average. Firstly, the order was served in less than five minutes. I never waited so little for food in a restaurant/pub/whatever. We ordered the Guinness and beef stew which was stale, there was no hint of Guinness, just a lot of tomato paste. Also ordered the Parmesan and truffle burger. While the bun and meat were ok, there was no hint of Parmesan, nor truffle. Service was also a bit cold and off. Not to mention the prices for the food, which were actually some of the highest we paid while in Dublin, and all this for mediocre dishes. So do yourself a favor and don't eat here.
I went there with my mom for drinks and appetizers, and the atmosphere was cozy. However, after we paid and were leaving, a waitress stopped us to check the receipt and even verified the date and time 😔 It was embarrassing and uncomfortable, especially since we did not see this happen to anyone else, except us, who are Latinas. Despite this, I would still recommend the restaurant because it is good overall, but this was a very uncomfortable situation that should be handled with more care.
Went there to watch German cup football. As a sports bar with different screens this works out. There service can be done remote via mobile which is okay. The burger I had was the worst I had so far. Usually I love Irish Pub Food and experienced lots of great burgers, but this one was absolutely not good.
Nice Murray’s Bar – O’Connell Street Called in for breakfast while in the city as it’s right in the centre and very easy to pop into. The pub itself is really nice, with a traditional Irish feel, and there was a good atmosphere inside. We were seated straight away, which was appreciated. We went for the full Irish breakfast. While it’s priced on the higher side, that’s fairly standard for a central Dublin location. The breakfast was fine overall — simple, filling, and nicely presented — though it didn’t particularly stand out compared to others I’ve had. Some elements suited my taste more than others. Service was friendly and efficient, and everything ran smoothly during our visit. The card machine prompts for a tip at payment, which can feel a little unfamiliar, but that seems to be quite common now and wasn’t an issue. All in all, it’s a lovely pub in a great location. While the breakfast wasn’t a highlight for me personally, I can see why others enjoy it, and it would be a nice spot to stop into, especially for a drink.
Guiness is okay, the pint is 7,4€. However the bartender who is wearing a glass is quite rude. I was waiting for a simple order more than 10 minutes. And they let others who came later than me to order. He told me that it is not my problem. Too many people. Is it the way how you are treating the customers? Behave normal please.
We arrived on time for our booking and our table was ready, which was a great start. After being seated, we ordered drinks. The cocktails were very nice; however, this is where the issues began. The Prosecco was completely flat, so we asked for a replacement. Unfortunately, the glass was simply topped up with soda water in an attempt to make it sparkling, which resulted in an unpleasant drink. We returned it again and decided not to have another. We then ordered our starters and main courses. After waiting around 20 minutes, both the starters and mains arrived at the same time, which is not how a meal should be served. We had no choice but to refuse the main courses. When the mains were brought out, the food was bland, tasted as though it had come straight from a freezer, and was cold. Considering the price of the meals, this was extremely disappointing and left us feeling very let down. To finish, we were unable to find any waiting staff to ask for the bill and had to walk to the exit to request it. We all left feeling unwell and very disappointed with the overall experience.
