I came to the Black Forge all the way from Australia in January 2025. Truly a great experience and very cool pub. Staff are lovely and food was amazing. Met Conor as well which was mind blowing. I must say the forged Irish stout is the best stout I’ve ever tasted. I still dream of it to this day. Would love if you could send some Forged Irish stout down to Australia otherwise I will definitely be back next time I am in Ireland.
Went there on a Saturday evening. And reserved in advance. Had a beer in the restaurant before we got to our table. The Vibe in this location is really great with live music and good people. We had 7 beef burgers and 2 steaks and both we're delicious and juicy. We didn't had to wait long for rhe food. Nit longer than 20 minutes Their own brand of beer is good too And the waitresses are friendly and nice.
Today was my first time to visit Black Forge, after wanting to come here for so long. I heard so many amazing things about the food & cocktails & I have to say I was not disappointed. The cocktails were to die for (Victoria’s Secret was my favourite.) I got chicken wings & the steak on the stone for my meal & everything was so delicious & will live rent free in my head. Staff were excellent, customer service was second to none & the atmosphere was great. My only minor complaint is that I asked for garlic sauce & didn’t receive it, but was still charged (we only realised after we paid.) Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my evening here, as did my partner & I can’t wait to return & try some more of the fabulous food & cocktails 😍
We had the pleasure of visiting this place on our recent visit to dublin. We have never received such a welcoming and very friendly service. Im a big conor mcgregor fan so i had to see this place, was a real shame i never got to meet him but what a brilliant experience. The food was 10 out of 10, our steaks were cooked to perfection and the dessert was delicious. Also the proper twelve whiskey apple flavour was special! We want to say a big thanks to all the workers/security doormen there that saturday night 1st november 2025 who made it extra special for us. Highly recommend you all to visit the black forge inn! 🙏🏽❤️
I was served by a Brazilian woman and a Brazilian who was in the bar very friendly since I was already honored to meet Connor MacGregor in person who came to our table and we had a nice conversation about visualizing the good things in life and being grateful. Good experience and beyond the further confirmation of Connor's words: Think, believe and have faith. 💯💯🙏🏼🤝🏽🔥🧠
May 9/25 My husband and I and two friends went to Europe for my 50th and my husbands 60th. Ireland was on our bucket list and we couldn’t visit Dublin without stopping for a visit in Connor McGregor’s pub. Food was outstanding, the local singer was so charming, the service was on point and they even accommodated an earlier seating because we got to town early. We got to wear Connor’s championship belt!!! Apparently, Connor is there quite a bit but he was away on vacation. We weren’t lucky enough to run into him but it was a night to remember. A must visit.
I had a great experience at the Black Forge Inn. Started off with the Hot and Sticky wings. Generous portion. Really flavorful. Definitely would get again. For the main course I had the special which was a ribeye on the stone. It comes out sizzling hot. It was delicious, cooked right with great flavor. Dipping sauce was tasty and the side of sea salt is a nice touch. It also came with both onion rings and French fries. Both were good as well. Great atmosphere with a musician playing live the whole time. Conor himself even showed up and ate a few tables over!
The food and desserts are absolutely delicious and well worth the price. The presentation is lovely, and you can tell a lot of effort goes into both the taste and the look of everything they serve. Their cocktails are not only creative and tasty but also beautifully presented — perfect for Instagram photos and a great overall experience.
It was such a nice experience, and also the main waiter/maître gave us some recommendations, and an exceptional service. The ambiance is based in McGregor and the Irish culture, in a stylish and vintage way. The price to be honest is cheap compared to what we expected. You will find worse places regarding quality food and service attention in the centre of the city that are more expensive than here.
Hi~I had lunch at The Black Forge Inn yesterday, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. I ordered the Steak on the Stone, and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly tender and juicy, and I really enjoyed the interactive experience of cooking it on the hot stone myself. The flavor was rich, and it went so well with a pint of Irish stout, which added a nice balance to the meal. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively yet comfortable, with a cozy Irish pub vibe. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming — they made me feel at home right away. Service was quick, and everything came out perfectly presented. Overall, it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Dublin. Great food, great service, and a true taste of Irish hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon, and I highly recommend The Black Forge Inn to anyone visiting Dublin who wants a quality meal with a warm Irish touch. (I have forgot to order a dessert 🤣)
Every single aspect of The Black Forge from Ambience, Hospitality, Vibe & of course the food itself is absolutely amazing! We had the Arrancini for an appetizer to the Lamb Rump & The Hot Stone 10 oz Filet for the main course. Our meals arrived in short order & everything was truly fabulous! If you enjoy a Guinness from time to time try their version called the Forged Irish Stout, its much better. Conor has a replica of his UFC championship belt for us to have a cool photo op. After having been to thousands of restaurants over many years I can honestly say The Black Forge is in the top 3 or 4 all time. Next time in beautiful Dublin we will absolutely come back for another great experience/meal.
Amazing place, great atmosphere and all staff are polite and helpful in special Breffnie that was incredible nice with us. I well recomend to go for a dinner or even have a drink. Price is very good compare with another places in Dublin and the amount of food is great and delicious. everything was just perfect.
I went to Dublin this week for 2 nights and on night 1 there was no doubt in my mind I was going to The Black Forge Inn, this place was better than I could ever imagine. The staff were incredible with a fantastic host/manager! The food was exceptional the chicken wings and steak are a MUST! The drinks including the proper 12 cocktails were insane! Then the whole decor and atmosphere was fantastic! To make the night better Conor came in and gave ample time to all guests for a chat, pics and he also gave a lot of attention and assistance to my father who was struggling for the picture! Something he certainly didn’t have to do! I appreciate the whole team from front of house the ladies are so bubbly, the chefs who prepared one of the best meals I’ve ever had and of course the man himself who’s put all this together and enables whomever visits an opportunity to have an incredible experience, insane food, a warm welcome and an opportunity to get a pic with the UFC title itself!
Excellent restaurant and the best meal we had the entire time we were in Ireland. If you're in Dublin, this restaurant is a must. I had the rotisserie chicken and it was devine! The corn rib was very tasty and the mashed potatoes were so flavorful. We didn't have room for appetizers but what we saw looked great! We shared a apple and blackberry crumble for dessert. Yummy! My favorite drink was the McGregor Secret, the Blossom Breeze was also very good. The server were excellent, very friendly and cheerful. We all had a wonderful time!
Easily one of my favourite restaurants in the world. I always make sure to visit here when I’m in Dublin and I always have a great time. I’m positive you will enjoy the food as everything on the menu is very good and reasonably priced. The service is great too and if you happen to be a UFC fan you’ll enjoy being able to take pictures with the belt and all the other McGregor themed things around the restaurant.
Absolutely loved my visit to The Black Forge Inn. To start, I had the beef bao buns and the beef was cooked perfectly, full of flavour and very tender. For my main, I chose the 12oz sirloin which was served on a hot plate so you can continue cooking it to your liking. I left mine on for about 20 seconds on each side and it came out perfectly rare, exactly how I like it. The Forged Lager was also excellent and paired well with the meal. To top it all off, the bill even came in less than I expected. I would definitely recommend The Black Forge Inn to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Dublin.
Delicious😋, consistently fresh food with a well-thought-out menu that blends different cuisines beautifully. Everything arrives quickly, which is a big plus, and the quality never feels rushed. The dishes are well presented, with creative interpretations that make each plate feel a bit special. The menu changes from time to time, so there’s always something new to try. Attentive staff, a comfy atmosphere, and a late coffee option ☕to top it all off. I’ve taken plenty of photos — some you can see below, and I’ll probably add more 🙂
Phenomenal food, as well as the service. Their Forged Stout is great, but their Forged Lager is exquisite.
The food is on point. Best sunday roast we had while in Ireland. The steak is top notch. Simple and presented nicely. The atmosphere is welcoming and makes you want to stay for another drink. This is a must do while in Dublin!
Couldn’t recommend the food, atmosphere and hospitality enough! All staff members went above and beyond on our visit. Everything was perfect, thank you The Black Forge Inn 🩵
The Black Forge Inn is awesome 👍. Best Pub food I've ever had ..not an exaggeration. We had the Philly Cheesesteak Sambo, Fish and Chips, Sea Bass, Beef Chuck burger and loaded fries with Pulled Pork and Chili as well as Banoffee dessert. Not one complaint on any item... only praise. They're all uniquely delicious and Black Forge puts its own flavor twist on each dish. I've tried all these dishes in other restaurants but this felt like a standout experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was great. There was an awesome Acoustic performer playing when we were there. My son and I got to take pics with the UFC belt. Mystic Mac... you've outdone yourself. Loads of fun and great food.
DO NOT MISS! First time in Ireland from America. Visited many pubs and this one stood out for its food [sea bass for me], and atmosphere. The Black Forge Stout is the best beer I had in Dublin. 20 euro cab ride from Dublin Temple Bar. Worth it!!
Celebrating my birthday with my family. The staff is very friendly and made us feel at home. Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended!!!
Starter of crab and prawn very special. Main course fish and chips. Batter on fish a bit stoggy doughy. Needs to be lighter and crispy. (Tempura batter) Always excellent food never let down before. I will keep going. Food is value for money.
Stopped by The Black Forge Inn for dinner the other night because my husband is a huge Conor McGregor fan, and we were blown away. The restaurant is absolutely stunning inside, with beautiful décor, a talented live musician, and a mouthwatering menu. Everything we ordered was delicious. They also brew their own stout and lager. I am not a drinker, but my husband tried both and loved them. We even bought a pint glass to take home as a souvenir. Our server Ricardo was fantastic. He was so attentive, friendly, and personable. We truly had the best time here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin. The cherry on top was getting to see McGregor’s championship belt at the end of our meal and even taking photos with it. Such a cool and memorable touch.
Had an awesome time at this pub! The luxurious yet fun vibe and beautiful ambiance made for a memorable evening. The live music was fantastic, and the staff were professional and efficient, despite the busy atmosphere. The food was great, although there's room for improvement considering the price. It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the overall experience. Quick tip: make reservations ahead of time, especially if you're visiting during peak times. Tried booking for a weekend three weeks ahead, but only snagged a Thursday night. Nevertheless, it was still an amazing experience!
Food, drinks and staff were amazing!! I got the Prime Irish Dry Aged Fillet and absolutely loved it. The fries were really good too. Everything was fresh! The waiter was so kind. I also enjoyed the live music! Would highly recommend this restaurant and would come here again!
Wow, the food at the Blackforge Inn was outstanding, the Yorkshire wrap was next level, the beef was so soft and tender the taste was amazing, the fish and chips was great and the deserts we had was fantastic, best food I've had in a long time, the service and was superb and I cannot fault this pub. Can't wait to go back.
One of the best pubs in Dublin, went for dinner here full of flavour and compared to other restaurants in Dublin extremely well priced. Thank you for a wonderful time
Checked out the hype and enjoyed it all. Some say it's over priced but coming from America to me the price was a lot cheaper for a good stake. Anyways .. we loved our server!!! She was the sweetest lady and made sure I got my mushrooms lol 😂 beautiful place to eat and have a good time
Well all of the hype is true. I was working in the area and I finished early. I was passing this oasis in a desert. I was greeted by a friendly young lady and seated. I wasn’t waiting two minutes before being served. The stout is excellent. I tried the forge stout. It’s mighty. So nice I had to order twice. I didn’t have anything to eat but will definitely next time. The bar itself is beautifully finished. The colour scheme is bang on. All of the hardware are top quality . I’m a barman. I noticed. Will I be back absolutely It’s worth going there just to get a photo with Conor’s belt. Maybe some of that magic rubs off . Top class lad and ladies .
one of the best bars I've ever been to (and I've been to many 😎), the service is simply fantastic and the food is great👍🍺
Nine of us dined here for lunch. Food and service good. Weekday so bar was very quiet.
I mean this when I say that this was the best food we had on our two week trip to Ireland. We ate at over 20 pubs and restaurants and were honestly very unimpressed (we didn't come to Ireland for the food). But the food here was actually quite good and the serving size was very large. Good beer selection and top service.
This was by far the best food we had in Dublin! Atmosphere was great, (Live singer on) food was beautiful, all 3 courses, Forge stout and proper 12 also very nice, staff were friendly friendly/professional and attentive. I would highly recommend visiting here, my Mrs booked this for my Birthday and it was our best night out in ages!
What an absolute amazing place. We went just a little before they were closing the kitchen but this certainly didn't stop the staff from going above and beyond for us. They were so friendly and really helpful a big shout out to Sharon who had so much time for everyone with her warm, bubbly and friendly personality
Nice pub, especially well-known for its aged steaks served on a hot stone. They offer a great variety of food, from starters to desserts, all beautifully presented with a lovely mix of flavours — both mouth-watering and Instagram-worthy. The steak itself is delicious and reasonably priced, but you do need to manage the cooking yourself to avoid overcooking it on the hot stone. That said, the extractor fan system definitely needs improvement. With every table having hot stones, the smoke and smell quickly fill the place, and you’ll likely leave with your clothes carrying that lingering smell.
We got some hot & spicy wings, well they were quite small and didn’t feel like it was anything amazing, if I were to describe it would be a hint of spice with blue cheese sauce. We all got the 10oz sirloin steak, served on a hot plate constantly cooking the meat, the board was not light to carry, it came with a tomato, mushroom, onion rings and triple cooked fries. Initially it didn’t not look like a lot but we were full after the meal. The hot plate was much more smaller than the big plate they gave us 😅😅 We also added dessert to share, baileys cheesecake apparently but it was lacking. Overall it was an alright experience, nice decor, felt like it was rough grabbing a servers attention, probably no rush to come visit again, worth a try if you’re in the area.
Came here at about 130 on a Sunday afternoon, it was not busy however we waited 20-25 mins just for a drink order and another 10 to order food. We were told someone else would take the food order. Aside from that the food was fabulous, very flavorful. Couldn’t fault it. Best burger I had in a long time. And the steak on the stone was to die for. Definitely try the chicken wings they were superb. Food 10/10 but service 3/10. Definitely not worth the hype or the money.
