The best donuts in town on my commute to work I would jump off the freeway just to grab a donut from this place the service is fantastic and the donuts are delicious

I grew up in Pleasanton and always stuck to donut shops there, but that’s all over now. A client brought donuts from Johnny’s to our office this week, so I tried them for the first time. These are the absolute best donuts I’ve had in the area, hands down. Perfect flavor and texture. Hidden gem!

I have been in San Ramon Dublin since 1971. The previous owner, started the dynasty. The current owners have continued the tradition. Fantastic donuts made locally.. Interior could use a little bit of renovation. Kind of a hang out for coffee and donuts in the morning. Very pleasant place to begin the day.

The best donuts I have ever had! This place has been here a long time, no matter what day you go donuts are always freshly baked! (No reused greasy flavor as you find at other donut shops.) Johnnys has high standards that they have stuck by and the quality can't be beat! You will be pleasantly surprised at the light, fluffy treats no matter which one you choose as there is a wide variety. I am getting hungry...lol Bravo and thank you!

Consistently kind service and I like that its got a very local feel. We enjoy the donuts and I love the occasional custard filled. COVID measures are solid. * One customer in at a time. * Different in-door than out-door. They keep the line moving as long as customers know what they want. * Outside has the usual markers so people can correctly distance. * Everyone wears masks, at least indoors.

Oh myyy, this is a fantastic buttermilk dunker. Seriously. The Southern Glaze stays crisp so the cake isn't soggy like most stores. The tangy flavor is perfectly balanced to the sweet. Precision cooked all the way through while still light brown on crust. You will need a medium-large cup of coffee/tea to get this giant down. The staff are loving professionals who have mastered their craft. You can dine-in which I encourage you to do. Don't try to eat this behind the wheel. Instead of Saturday pancakes, go to Johnny's for the donut of your life.

This is honestly the best donut place I’ve ever been to. I used to go to Buttercream bakery in Napa, but after I moved I couldn’t find a good old fashioned donut. Johnny’s beats that place by a landslide! I got half a dozen for my work, and they went away so fast. Plus, the women on the counter were very friendly and courteous. It was a good start to my day :)

Johnny's Donuts is a Dublin Ca gem. I remember my mom taking me here as a child after swim lessons, soccer games, as a weekend treat. I now go on treating my kids. The donuts are perfect and the owners are lovely people. My friend from LA is a donut connoisseur and she loves their donuts! If you haven't been, go now.

You haven't had a donut until you've had a donut from Johnny's Donuts. I've been going to this place since I was a kid and not until many many years later did I begin to realize how much better these Donuts are than anywhere else I've been. Don't believe me? Think all Donuts are the same? Try them and you'll see. I don't normally like cake Donuts and I never had a cake donut that I like but every time I order a dozen from Johnny's they sneak in a random cake donut to make a baker's dozen. For the longest time I would either toss them out or somebody else would eat them. Then one day everyone at the office wiped out the chocolate bars which are my favorites. All that was left was a chocolate cake donut with some sprinkles so I decided to at least try it. OMG it was amazing. Soft, moist... amazing. Just talking about it and my mouth watering. I'll be going there tomorrow for sure.

This is the best donut shop around. We always go here, at least twice a month. Sometimes more. Their donuts are always fluffy and delicious. I highly recommend, but make sure you get there soon enough. They sell out fast.

OMG these are some DELICIOUS DONUTS!! And they are the real deal. I stopped by about 6am this morning not knowing what to expect and I ordered two chocolate bars and one plain cake. Well I came back to my friends coffee shop across the street to share them with him and I take out a chocolate bar and notice that it's still warm and I take a bite into it and it melts in my mouth the chocolate is so delicious! I think I may have found my new favorite donut in the Bay Area. Thank god i stumbled onto this place!!

Fantastic, fresh donuts, but do expect mass transfer from your purse to your waist. Donuts here are about three times as expensive as the ones from Safeway. So if I really want to treat myself to a good donut, I come here and buy one or two. If I need a dozen, I go to Safeway. Their "working man's hours" means you can get a donut way before the sun comes up, but unplanned midnight binges will not be possible.

Such delicious donuts and a staple of Dublin for over 30 years. Would highly recommend the donut holes, old fashioned or really anything. You can't go wrong.

A small business that we should all support. Got a 1/2 dozen donut for $10.50. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Will recommend this place if you are looking for reasonable priced fresh donuts

I am not eating donuts usually. This place is my friend’s favorite donuts shop. I came first time with family and it was really good ! I was there after 12:00 so almost sold out but I got some. Very friendly customer service and I was happy to got some donuts and they were all delicious ! I will come back little more early time for choosing many different type of donuts !

A great, traditional selection you would expect from a pink donut box spot. The coffee is good, donuts always done right, and they make fresh raised and glazed all morning if you like them warm. Highly recommend for a 5 mile radius. This taste the most like what I grew up with, the chocolate is right, not overly complex and deep like some places. The glaze is never runny or anything but flakey when handled. The filled donuts are good, but typically I can't get away from their chocolate raised. Perfection.

I would come here every morning on my way to wells with or without friends! One thing that really sticks out to me is that even 6-7 years of living out of town, whenever I come back for some delicious donuts the owners always remember me, my little brother and even my parents! The little shop is warm and inviting it brings back so many great memories from throughout the years🥹 oh and did I mention how great the donuts are? Ive still yet to find another donut in my 25 years that even come close to the fluffiness and taste these things pack! I hope they stay in business for the rest of time. Lastly if you like maple flavored donuts nothing beats theirs! ALSO if you ever have the chance to show up early in the morning (around 5:30-6:30am) do yourself a favor and ask for some warm, fresh out of the fryer ones!

I'm not big on sweets, but I love the bread of a donut. Their plain sugar twist was just a hint sweet and covered in very very fine sugar, which was amazing. This place also had the best, most moist and doughy french donut I have ever had. Johnny's Donuts is a little Dublin gem not to miss!

Great little mom and pop doughnut shop. Service is quick, and friendly. No frills coffee and delicious doughnuts. My favorite was the maple crueller and glazed butter milk bar. It feels like they put all their effort and attention to detail in these fried dough concoctions. The crueller was eggy and airy, and the maple glaze really complimented everything. The buttermilk bar was fluffy and not super dense, a perfect delivery system for the vanilla glaze.

Great little mom and pop doughnut shop. Service is quick, and friendly. No frills coffee and delicious doughnuts. My favorite was the maple crueller and glazed butter milk bar. I'm hook, this place can be busy on the weekend. But they know what they're doing so the wait is not that long trust me. Their maple bar with cream filling is my goto quick fix.

I like this place and the donuts are good. I've been coming here since I was a little kid. It's been open for as long as I can remember and the place has never changed. I like the fact that it looks exactly the same as it did back in the 80s. The staff is always so nice. The only thing I would say I don't like is the prices have gotten a little high, but then again inflation has had an impact on almost all businesses.

I go here about once a month to bring back goodies for the family breakfast. I'd like to do it more often, my spare tire wouldn't appreciate it as much though. They have a good selection and keep cooking throughout the morning so they don't run out as quickly as some other places I've been to and thought they have their low moments I've seen them restock while I've been in line. The raised donuts are fluffy, the cake donuts are moist, and the fillings never have that metal taste I run into at some donut shops. I'm really happy with this place.

Donuts are good and staff is friendly. I went in last time and my card was declined. The lady was so nice to let me take the food anyway and come back later to pay. Thankfully so my 2.5 year old didn't have to leave without his promised donut! So sweet of her! I appreciate the neighborly kindness!

Average tasting product. Same variety as just about every other donut shop in the world. Very clean. Lots of fine in space. Lots of parking.

Friendly people and service. Taste wise, not so good. Glazed donuts i got was a little too salty and wasn’t light or fluffy. I didn’t enjoy at all. Maybe it was just that batch, I’ve never had a donut that salty anywhere.

A miss for us Im afraid. Reviews did not meet up to reputation. My glazed was quite doughy and overly sweet. And my teenage son didn’t finished his custard filled chocolate log (custard was not custard, rather a sweet paste - v. odd). Can’t recommend.
