Visited the restaurant today was my first time there I want to say thank you so much for the amazing food and service will definitely visit again, coming from an Afghan myself the kabobs were authentic and delicious just like back home. 10000/10
This was our first time trying authentic Afghan food, and the food/service did not disappoint. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken Kabob and and vegetarian Mantoo. The dishes were cooked and prepared by the amazing woman behind the counter. The gentleman that took our order at the front counter was kind and attentive. The food was incredible. The portions were large and everything was incredibly well cooked and delicious. Thank you Kabul Kabob & Grill for a delightfully scrumptious meal that completely surprised us. This local spot is a hidden gem and we will be back again! :)
We were in the area and this place caught our eye because it shares the same name as one of our favorite Afghan restaurants in San Carlos. We're glad we stopped by because the food was amazing. All of the dishes were cooked perfectly and were loaded with flavor without being salty. The service was very friendly and the restaurant wasn't crowded. We really enjoyed everything and will be back again.
I have been going to Kabul for over two years now and was lucky enough to discover them when I did. I find myself coming back time and time with some sense of familiarity bringing me back in. Not to understate the the food is absolutely phenomenal, and is the most underrated restaurant I have ever visited. I highly recommend Kabul to anyone that wants a delicious meal, and a reminder of what great food can truly be.
Excellent speed in making our order today for pick up. The food was amazing I would definitely order again very soon. The bolani was one of the best we have ever had. Chapli was so delicious and not too oily. Chicken kabob very juicy. Lamb curry was super delicious and not too spicy and the sabzi was so well seasoned and not over cooked tasted so fresh. Loved the food here and the guy who helped us get our order was so polite and courteous ( he might be the owner) offered us some water while waiting for our order. Thank you for the great food
This is one of those restaurants that completely blew my mind!! Every dish I tried was delicious. Great service and portions! Would love to visit this place regularly.
The hostess was extremely friendly and made some great suggestions. We had the chicken qurma and chicken tandoori. Both were amazing! The chicken was very soft, perfectly cooked a d well blended with the spices. Would totally recommend this place!
Such a lovely family owned restaurant. Their food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. It’s not overly spicy which we like (the kids enjoy it as well). The kababs are so flavorful. Out go-to for afghani food.
One of the best Afghani food in Tri-Valley area. Tried their Shami & Tandoori Chicken Kabob Combo. Very delicious and the meat was well cooked. Flavorful tasty rice too. Reasonable price and the portions are large. Very friendly staff.
I just came from San Diego and looked this place up by chance. They had a great service when they took my order, and when I had my food it was great and very delicious. I rhad lamb chops with the chicken kabob. They also give me a free rice pudding. Definitely coming back whenever i visit this city.
This place is THEE closest to my Afghani coworkers home made food that is excellent. Chicken kabob is always so juicy and moist and the rice is always flavorful and delicious. Reasonably priced and close to home.
Best home cooked food you can buy. Great service. The meat and rice there are excellent. Well spiced and perfectly cooked. Go there when you are really hungry. Don't forget to account for few extra inches in your waist...
Excellent food, very nice staff. The bolani katchalu, beef tikkah kabobs, chicken kabobs, and bread were all wonderful. The seasoned rice was very good, don't get me wrong, but this close to Fremont I expect it to be to die for, and it wasn't. That's my only small, nit-picky complaint.
Fantastic delicious food. We were passing through Dublin and needed to stop someplace for lunch, and the places we had in mind were all closed on Monday. The Chapli Kabob and the vegetarian dish were beyond expectations. The service was great as I had only a few minutes to get something before joining a call, and they accomodated me. Absolutely 💯 percent perfect.
I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting our favorite boba place next door. And boy am I glad I did, the food is absolutely delicious, portions are generous, and service is always polite. I've since recommend and invited friends and family to Kabul, and made fans out of them as well. We order to go often though we don't live in the area, but it is a top choice for me and my family, even my picky kids can't resist the chicken kabobs with that tummy green chutney.
Honestly everything was excellent. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was intentful and speedy, and the atmosphere was inviting and cozy. The menu had a focused but varies collection of meat/kabob dishes. I ordered the chicken breast kabob plate. 17 bucks. Such a bargain for the amount of food these days and it tasted home cooked and prepared with pride--you can tell. The rice was perfectly seasoned and the entire plate was nicely balanced with a yogurt based cabbage slaw. Definitely will be coming back.
We broke our fast for Ramadan at Kabul today. We found it while we were shopping at the outlets nearby and noticed it had great reviews. The food photos looked amazing, so we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did. We ordered the Triple Chicken Kabob Plate and a Kabob Plate to share, and oh my God… that was probably the best kabob I’ve ever had. The seasoning on the chapli kabob, tikka kabob, and shami kabob was incredible, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The portions are very generous for the price. I was completely full and even had leftovers, but honestly, I still wanted to keep eating! The rice was well seasoned and delicious. I was hoping it would include the traditional carrots and raisins, but it was still excellent. The salad was fresh cut lettuce with a yogurt mint dressing, similar to tzatziki (just without the cucumber) and it paired really well with everything. I also loved that they give complimentary bread with a green sauce and a spicy red sauce. Both sauces were so good and added even more flavor to the meal. The service was wonderful. The young woman with blondish hair who helped us was so kind, sweet, and welcoming. It felt like a warm, family-owned restaurant, and I really appreciated that it’s halal. I’ll definitely be bringing my family here. I honestly have no complaints. I can’t wait to come back!! Also, the boba place next door is so good!
Family run restaurant! With very generous portions and wonderful specialties! I ordered the family plater E for my family ! Very fresh and hot hot food! The owner of the restaurant cooks with his heart!
Thank you for the delicious food, great hospitality, quick service, and reasonable prices. The food is halal, and the authentic Afghan flavors are truly exceptional. I highly recommend everyone to visit and experience this unique taste!
Really nice food, home cooked taste. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of food here. It is run by a family. I think the wife cooks in the kitchen and the husband takes care of serving. A great example of making team work, quality ingredients and what comes out is home tasting food. Feels home away from home.
I ordered lamb shank, chicken kabob, and beef kabob with palao for a takeout dinner, and the experience was fantastic. The service was fast, and the food was ready quickly, which made the process smooth and convenient. All the dishes were delicious—the lamb shank was tender, and the kabobs were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The palao complemented the meats really well, making for a satisfying meal. Overall, I was very impressed with both the quality of the food and the efficiency of the service. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be ordering from them again soon!
Our first time trying the food. Ordered through Uber Food. The food was well prepared, good quality and quantity. The flavors were really good. We had a chicken kabob, Koobideh and the dumplings. Everything was great except that it was cold. I attribute the temperature to the driver making another stop before delivering mine.
Chapli kebabs are perfectly seasoned and nicely balanced with ground beef, cumin, chillies, eggs, spices. It is very similiar with Korean Tteokgalbi in terms of shape, meat patty formation, texture. But the flavor is so different! Nice and fragrant, juicy, crispy outside at the same time. The dough of mantoo, bolani is nice and thin, so flaky!! Flatbread is stuffed with savory veggies and flavor-filled. It was served hot!! I think this is one of the best afghan restaurants in entire bay area. I love the authentic way they cook. I wish they would be nicer to have more spiciness to it.
We came by today for some takeout and the food is AMAZING!! We got the Bolani for appetizer and the Chicken and Beef Kabob Mix and Qabili Palaw as the entrees. All are amazing especially the Bolani and Palaw. Be sure to eat the Bolani hot for the best flavor. Pickup was fast and efficient, and prices are decent. Our family of 3 (with very hangry people) couldn’t even finish it! The portion sizes are huge! It’s really sad to see the things going on in Afghanistan but the food is FABULOUS!! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Eat some Afghani food then top it off with Boba Bliss is perfect! Great food 10/10 would recommend. I will edit this review with more information if we decide to go again. Will recommend!
Great experience! Food was awesome and servers were polite. Give it a try if you are looking for Afghani food
One of the Best Afghan Resturant in Area. Beat others so easy. Ash and kabob Kobideh the best not say the other dishes not as good. We been going back there weekly. Recommend highly. Run by great family with great friendly service.
Absolutely delicious! We were passing by Dublin and happened to discover this gem. Came here for a quick lunch and was impressed by the great service, and cleanliness. We ordered the Qalili Palaw and loved it. The lamb shank was so tender, and the meat just fell off the bone. Plus the long grain rice with raisins and carrots gave such a wonderful hint of sweetness to the dish. We also ordered the Manto and really enjoyed it. Super rare find to experience this level of authenticity. Great place and would definitely come back!
Halal Sign is posted on restaurant entrance. Verbally verified as well with the Afghan girl working there. Food is okay but less spicy. Nice sitting area for family.
Great food, and nice staff. I really enjoy the Chapli Kabob, and Eggplant Banjan. The rice they serve is very fragrant and tasty. I look forward to my next trip to the area so that I can eat here again.
I’ve really been enjoying Afghan and other Middle Eastern food lately. Every since I’ve tried man to for the first time, I’ve been hooked! The gentleman who took my order was very attentive and my order was ready in just about 10 minutes! The filling was perfectly spiced as well as the lentil topping although the lentils were a bit al dente. All around, still a great late lunch!
Probably the best Chapli kebab in the Bay Area! My go to if I am ever on 680. I also get the kabuli Palou. Prices are on the higher end but that’s the reality of cost of food and labor. 5 stars food.
I love there juicy and flavoirful Qabuli pollaw with the softest lamb ever. The prices are even not that high. Love this place. Picture shows Qabuli polaw with raisins and carrots on top and chicken kabob over rice.

Good quality of food and service. Fresh made Koobideh and well cooked rice. Thanks for using silvers not plastic.
Family owned, I always get the chicken koobedeh and it's very tasty. Prefer this over kebab shop
Incredible food and great service. Some of the best Afghan food I have eaten in a long time - home-cooked, rustic flavours!
I tried this food few days ago and honestly, it was amazing! 😋 The dishes were completely halal, fresh, and full of flavor. Every bite tasted authentic and delicious. The service was great too — very welcoming and respectful.
Our first time here. We ordered Combo Kabob & Borani Badanjan and they were so good that we finished everything. Highly recommended. They are a small business so don’t expect fancy atmosphere. But if you’re into delicious Afghanistan food, this is it. I wasn’t planning to post so didn’t take any pictures but I think the restaurant deserves some credit and nice review so I started writing.

Very friendly staff and management. The food was great as well! The mantoo was so delicious, the kabobs were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The qabuli palao was great too, meat was tender and very delicious. We went on a Tuesday so there wasn't any dine in that day, so we had to eat in the car... I didn't mind that because the food was so good... This place has become one of my favorites and I for surely will be back!
The beef chapli kabob was so good! Really tender meat and their dips added a nice kick to the flavor. Served with rice and bread. Good portion size! The chicken teka kabob has room for improvement, wasn’t up to the mark. Service needs drastic changes, took a long time for our food to be served. Maybe they are understaffed. But i would suggest to work on this since the customers wouldn’t wait long for lunch/dinner. Four stars overall only for the good food!
I think this is a decent weeknight Afghani restaurant, but not somewhere I'd take family. Their borani kadoo tasted like it was cooked in sugar syrup, which I didn't like. The mantoo was good, though I have had a more flavorful sauce elsewhere. The kebobs dishes were tasty, but the bread was mediocre, flat.
The service is terrible and a long wait for mediocre food. We still didn’t have our food when the table behind us who ordered way after us were boxing up theirs leftovers😾. The vegetarian dumplings were under cooked and the gyro plate was cold and the bread we paid extra for was ice cold and hard. It just was not what we were expecting given all the other reviews.
Very bad customer service, the food is not tasty and not clean don’t go to this place not even one star
